what if you had a girlfriend you met after a big accident happened in your life, and dated her for a chunk of your childhood into your teens

But then she had to move away so you're forced to breakup because it's in an entirely new country and she doesn't wanna lead you on or anything

So you crash really hard and end up with someone who doesn't treat you well and a Lot Of Shit Happens

Uh you may or may not get a kid out of it, kid is your responsibility now and you're alone

Don't like talking to ppl cuz you're avoidant(tm)

But friends nudge you and you meet a new person, who stays and becomes really close with you. Helps you with raising your kid and helps with all your emotional baggage. Doesn't leave you when things feel very rough and hopeless for you. So you end up marrying her.

Say you've been married like around a decade now, and then suddenly your first girlfriend shows up? And she's ALSO married now? More freshly married, two or three years, and she also has a kid? Around the same age as your kid?? Clearly not from THIS guy specifically-- so she ALSO has a step parent for her like you got?

And you're amazed that you found each other again and feelings re-spark as you're catching up again.

So literally the four of you are like, ok we can try being open then. We can let you two date again since you waited a while to actually be together.

And then slowly everyone ELSE started catching feels for each other??

So now you and your wife have a girlfriend who has a husband who's your boyfriend.
