I do not ship these NoodleMoon-playing characters

Before Sing 2 even came, I wasn't really shipping the koala with anyone tbh. However, what's common with Internet users is that if they like a film or franchise that much, they feel to redo it for fun via YouTube recast spoof or literature fanmake. I ought to know, since I am one of them.

When I saw the first Sing, I didn't remotely think of any hidden details that gave one the idea that Buster and Eddie may be closeted boyfriends, though that's not proven yet. However, because Illumination is a new company that thrives on what masses of the audiences want and trying to be more relevant to today, them becoming a canon pair would not be impossible.

The main problem is, some of the online spoof-makers or fanmake-writers, who don't even think about the hidden details like the detail-searchers and NoodleMoon shippers do, and the characters they cast don't seem fitting to be more than just friends.

i love them <3: I’ve mentioned once a while back, but Bunny is my very first SP ship I ever shipped!! Falling in love with them made me fall in love with the fandom as a whole… also gay/queer shipping generally. They mean a lot to me :)

romantically/platonically: I feel like many Bunny shippers (at least in the past) always saw them as “perv corrupting the innocent” trope but I think they’re not that? Or at least they’re so much more than that. They’re both characters with SO much love to give. Willing to do anything for those they care about and too quick to trust. Needing to get stuff off their chest but not sure how. I love the idea that they become one another’s confidants bc they love how they actually can trust one another. Whether that leaves to an unshakable friendship bond or them kissing bc words aren’t enough to express how thankful they are to have someone who understands… I think it’s fantastic either way. They just click perfectly. Also they’re one of the few ships that thrives in every single “canon” AU (TSOT, TFBW, Future/COVID) and that’s gotta mean something, ya know?

FLUFF: I like the idea that both of them come from kind of broken homes so they try their best to make sure THEIR home is far from broken. They’re both very nurturing people so they just want to take care of one another. I also think they love showing how in love they are— lots of cuddles and nuzzles and kisses and pet names. It’s just so nice to think about them being unabashedly soft to each other <3

Better in fanfic: Honestly it’s insane that they haven’t really interacted in canon in so long… sure we got very good implied content in the COVID specials via Vic Chaos and Professor Kenny! But they haven’t hung out on screen in so long :( It feels like they’ve forgotten that Kenny and Butters are friends. The only Butters friendship we’ve really seen at all lately has been his one with Cartman. So lately, they’ve only been better in fics…

they can fix each other: I don’t know how much they need to be FIXED per say, but I do think they need someone to listen and lean on. And they’re not just willing but happy to do so. Maybe a little bit of pillow talk therapy. Helping the other see what they refuse to acknowledge bc it hurts but not in a harsh way, in a “Hey i love you, I want to work through this bc I’m scared it’s hurting you”

gay af to have a sworn rival: I think peak Mysterion and Professor Chaos should have Lego Batman/Joker energy. Or maybe like a Miraculous Ladybug situation if one of them was evil (I stopped watching a while ago maybe one of them actually is evil). Or Mike Snow’s Genghis Khan. Whatever the case, they’re throwing AND pulling punches bc they’re gay and that’s that

ANGST: I’ve mentioned that I like them coming from slightly broken homes… that’s mostly the angst I’ve got in mind. Of course, Kenny’s deaths are classic angst for literally any story but I think it’s better if the angst is outside sources. Kids with shitty parents bonding over that fact. Inescapable circumstances hurt them but they are each other’s comfort.

Sakumo was happiest when he had Kakashi (though that didn't last long ;-;) and I hc that he had Kakashi pretty old, so 35

Hashirama of canon thrived when he first met Madara- around 6 years old

What tattoo would they get?

Sakumo probably has some clan tattoos, like the field symbol, as well as a moon and bunny tattoo for his wife lmao

Hashirama isn't a fan of getting tattood- he prefers to be the one branding ;)

Their favourite YouTube channel?

Sakumo would appear to only watch sports and such, maybe some DIY tutorials but he's a certified Depressed Bastard and Killer so he probably watches a bunch of sword tutorials + edgy vine/tiktok comps

Hashirama likely watches plant videos because he's a nerd + other nature videos revolving around the animal kingdom, but the creepy kind like hunting and such for the ideas

What would they do if they met a Karen?

Sakumo would go one of two ways- if a Karen began the spiel while he was alone, he would just ignore her. But, if he was with Kakashi... children need good examples.

Hashirama would chop her up and feed her to Madara.

km moments i think about (1)

so a lot of people are bringing up old jikook moments and talking about them again. so i will do the same because i'm hungry : (

let's talk about this again shall we. we all know this whole shabang from bts countdown was jikook haven.

but first before we get to the actual partner picking part can we talk about that small moment at the beginning?

jin was introducing all the rides choices and jimin just IMMEDIATELY gravitates towards the bunny one, i mean who else do we immediately think of? even the camera cuts to jungkook after.

I'm not hinting that the editor ships them, it's proving a fact that jungkook's mascot symbol is a bunny and jimin just goes to it, even though he doesn't pick it at the end because it's the least practical.

(i'd like to think he believed that if he's faster he'll get the choice he wants and changed vehicles after they announced jungkook as king : x)

then it brings us here next

they probably already planned this out. jungkook saying he doesn't have to appeal really confidently, everyone gets angry but

jimin sings a love song and jungkook says he believes in jimin. this shit's rIGGED.

as expected jimin makes a mad dash towards jungkook, and he's not even trying to be subtle.

look at jeon's face. he knows.

after this yoongi, jimin and namjoon try to impress the king and boy let me tell you. you can buy jungkook a whole damn car and a gaming console, but park jimin bats a lash and you lose.

because namjoon made a whole poem for his maknae, and yoongi tried... but jimin does as little as call his name.

but jeon jungkook loves it

how do i speak for them when they're SO FUCKING LOUD. i cant even sail my ship because it's sailing itself.

Just the dynamics of these two together make my toes tingle; they are such a match. This whole episode was either scripted right to the game or jikook really out there promising each other backstage that they're going to partner up by hook or by crook. i believe in the latter.

How else was jungkook able to sit there and literally know that jimin's going to come to him despite his zero attempts to lure anyone. and when jimin was rushing to jungkook he bumps into his chair, and im pretty sure jungkook just knows. In these selection games i've only seen idols go behind the other silently, and sneakily, but just because... park jimin.

They have so much trust in each other it's almost crazy, and this shows barely 1/1000 of that trust.

i'm mostly speaking about things that are already there, and that's what i enjoy as a jikook suporter/shipper; is because they're so out in the plain open and almost like reading an open book.

Buffy + The Prom

Short opinion: Insteadof watching this episode why don’t I just LIGHTMYSELF ON FIRE?! It’d be less painful.

Long opinion: Thisis one of my favourite episodes of Season 3, purely for the Bangel heartbreakand drama which, let’s face it, is what us Bangels thrive on. It’s a good thingthat this episode is so chock-full of Bangel-y goodness because the B storylineof The Prom is somewhat lacklustre. Let’s face it, Buffy has faced much worse than a few Hellhounds and,like Oz, the audience knows that Buffy will eliminate the threat. No, what weall watch this episode for is the heartbreaking A storyline, focusing on theend of the Bangel relationship.

Muchof Season 3 hints at and moves towards this eventual end as both Buffy andAngel (not to mention the Scoobies) try to deal with the fallout from theAngelus period. The latter half of the season in particular really starts toset up not only the end of the Bangel relationship but Angel’s eventualspin-off. Episodes such as Amends, Choices and this one really underline thejourney Buffy and Angel have had to take, the pitfalls and dangers of theirrelationship and the fact that Angel’s path is diverging from Buffy’s.

Fromthe opening scene of the two waking up together after patrolling (absolutelyadorable, especially Buffy’s concern about her bed hair and Angel’s reassurancethat she looks beautiful) to their heartbreaking breakup in the sewers, thisepisode underlines just how much these two love each other but also the tragedyof their love and the obstacles which stand in between them and their HappilyEver After. Even the very first scene subtle outlines issues in theirrelationship, with Buffy carelessly opening the curtains, throwing directsunlight onto Angel (as a side note, what the hell is Angel thinking, positioninghis bed directly in front of awindow/open doorway? Thank god he’s pretty, ‘cause he ain’t always so smart).

A lot - a lot - of fans get pissed off at Angel for hisactions in this episode. So many times I have read “Angel only dumped Buffybecause he couldn’t have sex with her”, “Angel was selfish in breaking up withBuffy”, “Angel took away Buffy’s choices”, “Angel didn’t have to leave” etc. etc., honestly, the way some fans go on and onyou’d think Angel literally tore Buffy’s heart out, kicked her while she wasdown and laughed all the way to L.A. while running over puppies and killing bunniesthe whole time. The sheer amount of hatred thrown at Angel for breaking up withBuffy is ridiculous, especiallybecause Angel had valid reasons for ending their relationship.

Asmentioned previously, the whole of Season 3 is gearing towards this eventualbreakup, showing how the trust between Buffy and Angel has fractured in theaftermath of Angelus and having the two struggle to regain what they once had.The issue of not being able to consummate their relationship is touched uponbut never really becomes the focus, which is why I find it so baffling that somany fans seem to genuinely believe that this is the reason Angel left (becauseAngel is really that driven by lust?Please. Get to know your characters before you make these kinds ofassumptions). The Mayor’s warning about their relationship in Choices coupledwith Joyce’s identical concerns in this episode are what cement Angel’sdecision, and ultimately he leaves because he believes Buffy deserves better,that he is not worthy of her love and that it would be safer for both of themto put some distance between them. His reasons are valid and his decision isnot made lightly. He loves Buffy with everything he has and he leaves becausehe can’t give her a future. She may be the Slayer but she’s also human and atthe end of the day there is literally no future for Buffy and Angel withoutheartbreak and pain.

Ingeneral, the A storyline of this episode plays out beautifully. Angel’s surrealdream sequence perfectly underlines his latent fears about his and Buffy’srelationship, as the two step into the sun and Buffy rather than Angel burstsinto flames, showcasing how Angel believes he will ultimately be Buffy’sdownfall. His scenes with Joyce are touching and sad as he realises the truthbehind her harsh words. The break up scene in the sewers is heart wrenching as we watch Angeldesperately trying to maintain his resolve, to be strong and do what needs tobe done while being forced to watch the woman he loves break down so bitterly(fun fact – Sarah is such a hugeBangel shipper that they had to close the set for twenty to thirty minutesafter filming the break up scenes, as she couldn’t stop crying).

Then,of course, there are the beautiful scenes at the Prom, from Xander and Cordy’stouching reconciliation and the resolution of their relationship, to Buffy’sclassmates acknowledging how she has saved them time and again, to Angel’sappearance and his and Buffy’s beautifully bittersweet dance, every scene atthe Prom is gorgeous and tugs at the heartstrings. Despite the weak Bstoryline, The Prom is a great episode, ending one of the most epic tv coupleson a heartbreakingly bittersweet note.
