guys i have my trial shift tomorrow and ive never had it before when im actually bothered about the job in a specific way like in the past it's always been about GETTING a job and not really giving a toss where im working so long as im working but this is a place i actually really really want to work and will bummed if i dont get. like it's right by the river and it's a really upmarket bar kind of scene so hopefully i might even get proper training in that area and it'll be my first non-minimum wage job AND i'll get tips (every other job i've had i dont even SEE my tips bc the managers take it even if it's given directly to me) and the hours will be super good and it's fast-paced and yeah. im not actually stressed so much bc a trial shift is a trial shift and yeah it's hard getting used to a new place but i can waitress in my sleep but i just reallyyyyyyyy want the job

#do NOT get me started on the tip thing my god #because basically one thing about me is that my customer service is IMPECCABLE #idk what it is idk if it's just bc my mum comes from a waitressing background and basically trained me up behind the scenes #or if im just naturally good at it but i can really switch it on for customers #the only time i start slipping is when customers are rude but luckily the jobs ive had so far kind of let me get away with that #bc they hated rude customers as much as me and kinda used my temper as their own buffer to get the customers to fuck off lol #but when customers are behaving i absolute SHINE like im being so arrogant about this bc i know for a fact im good at it #like they used to purposely put me on till/front of house bc i had the best customer service out of all of them #including the middle-aged workers who'd been there longer #and my fave barista once told me that he did a little experiment and compared how many tips we got when i was working #vs when i was away at uni and it was actually RIDICULOUS how much more tips i got us #and you know what? my boss would split the tips every few months (whenever he remembered) and he'd weight them #depending on who did what jobs. despite tips being PURELY bc of customer service and nothing to do with jobs #so the chef who could barely grunt at people would get a bigger share of the tips i almost singlehandedly earnt us than i did #so yeah i know for a fact this place does it differently bc they're a lot more professional #and also ive been going there for years now it's just genuinely a really nice place #wish me luck besties #hella slaves to capitalism

hey weird question but @ anyone else who ordered the pitch image ghaseball jerseys from puckdrop last year (i know they were posted in a few of the ghost fb groups when the pre orders were announced). did any of you actually get your orders or are you also being given complete non-answers about where your order is lmao

they don't respond to emails and if you ask in their instagram comments where your order is, they just say something like "oh we'll check on that for you" and then they don't follow up ever. I just DM'd them and depending on what kind of answer they give me (if they answer me at all) i'm going to have to do a chargeback through my bank because paypal purchase protection doesn't apply after 180 days. (hell. agony, even.)

for reference, these were estimated to ship in late october, and then they pulled that date from the website, and it is now april 5th. I've been trying to get a proper answer/refund since february. im out $60 usd on this order. so do with that what you will i guess

oh ETA back in february they told me that all orders were shipping out, quote, "this week", and then they didn't :D

Almost May. #I didn't get the title registration card in the mail until like June #So I registered my car and bought the plates. 100% bought the plates I KNOW I bought the plates #Fast forward to now it is August and still no plates in the mail. No notification that they've been mailed or received or ANYTHING #SO I'm sitting here going hey where are my plates my temporary tags have expired on my car and I could get ticketed for that #I decide you know what I'll go to the DMV directly and get this sorted out. Fucking hate the DMV all my homies hate the DMV #But what can you do you know. Idk where the plates are. #I was very worried bc the mailroom in my apartment was broken into so somebody could have stolen the plates out of my mailbox #And I'd be none the wiser!! Bc I haven't received any sort of notification that they were delivered! #So I decide to go to the DMV right but my coworker tells me that they don't do walk ins anymore. They only see you by appointment #The next appointment wasn't available until August 22nd. LIKE. THREE WEEKS FROM NOW #So I book the appointment. And I send them an email going like hey uh I kinda need new temp tags while I'm waiting to be seen abt my plates #And they email me back going oh lol this is the wrong county you need to go to blah blah blah county office #So I'm like jesus christ okay I'll go to the correct county office. LUCKILY they have walkins so I drove over there today #I walked in and the girl working the customer service counter asks me what I need and I say hey I'm having issues getting my plates #I hand her my title registration card and she looks it up and goes oh lol we have your plates. They were returned #APPARENTLY they fucked up my address and didn't include the apartment number on the package so it got returned to them #SO THEY'VE JUST HAD MY FUCKING PLATES FOR A MONTH AND A HALF AND DIDN'T TELL ME. NO EMAIL NO PHONE CALL NOTHING IN THE MAIL #The girl goes into the back and grabs my plates. lmao i applied for a seasonal christmas period job in retail (bc extra money) and the interviews were a breeze and i would have actually got the job BUT since i asked for half a day off for exactly one day they withdrew the offer 🤪 whatever, if they except me to be suuuuper flexible (work during the christmas eve & new years eve & potentially some shifts in a different store in the other side of the city if someone gets sick etc) and then can't provide the flexibility themselves good luck finding staff 😌
