I got my van bumpers PAINTED!! This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time since owning a british gas caddy. As this is my third caddy, I thought it was about time I got it done! Build progress on the current van conversion has been extremely slow. It's been a super busy summer so far but I am now finding the time to crack on with the build. The next job is to finish off the cladding and get it varnished. I've had the flettner 2000 air vent fitted for a few months and it's made a huge difference. I'm not sure why people take these out? Fitting the flettner 2000 air vent with an extender was harder than I had first thought. However, with help from @mikeevans9153 and the flettner team we got there in the end. And what a difference it makes! As you can see the extender comes through the roof and bridges the gap between the insulation, vapour barrier and cladding. Once I'd completed the sound deadening, the next step was to start the insulation. For insulation I've again used recycled bottle plastic from @bandq_uk . Its pretty easy to do, stuff all the insulation into all the cavities and then secure it to the panels using aluminium tape from @wickes . I then covered all of this with thermawrap to create the condensation barrier. Looking back now there might be a better way to do this but I've always done it on a budget.
