I got my van bumpers PAINTED!! This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time since owning a british gas caddy. As this is my third caddy, I thought it was about time I got it done! Lashing points are something that can easily be missed when converting a van. These can be essential when moving various items around in the van but are quickly forgotten about. I mainly use lashing points for securing mountain bikes. Don't forget to cut a hole in your cladding or ply lining to allow for the lashing hooks. Most vans will already have lashing points installed. If you have a vw caddy maxi and want to install one to either side of the van you can do this using the pre existing holes in the vans internal skin. To fix the lashing point to the side of the van. Build progress on the current van conversion has been extremely slow. It's been a super busy summer so far but I am now finding the time to crack on with the build. The next job is to finish off the cladding and get it varnished. I've had the flettner 2000 air vent fitted for a few months and it's made a huge difference. I'm not sure why people take these out? We stayed at a campsite near the Wye Valley on the edge of Symonds Yet river. On one of the days we explored a lookout point called Eagle's Nest. We visited Tintern Abbey on the way before following the A466 to a small car park under some trees. We followed a board with a map on all the way to the look out point. This photo shows one of the four waterfalls located to the West of Pen Y Fan and the Brecon Beacons. Just as a warning if you're planning on going there to get there early! We went in the afternoon and it was very busy. We walked all four waterfalls in 2.5 hours but we could've easily spent all day there. Such beautiful waterfalls in dense woodland. I suggest taking a picnic, along with swimming costumes to have a dip in the water. It is very hilly with lots if steps up and down sk take decent footwear. When we went to the Brecon Beacons we stayed at Cfen Cantref campsite near the town of Brecon. It was a small field that was well kept with the most stunning views I've had experienced on a campsite. They had a spotless toilet block with washing hl facilities and showers. We pitched wherever we liked in the field and although the campsite was 'fully booked' it certainly didnt feel like it. It was quiet, tranquil with the perfect views of the Welsh peaks. Please give me a message if you are looking to stay in Brecon or hike Pen Y Fan and I'd be more than happy to share our experience. Fitting the flettner 2000 air vent with an extender was harder than I had first thought. However, with help from @mikeevans9153 and the flettner team we got there in the end.
