Dear no-one,

Hello. It’s been a long time since I’ve written. A good three years or so. I think the last time was in ecology class in high school, or maybe that summer. Also on a different website. I used Waterfall because it wasn’t blocked by my school’s wifi.

Sad that all those letters are lost now. I’d love to go back and read them.

I’ve gotten both more and less stable in my identity. Still fluctuating and changing frequently, sometimes with medians sometimes with alterhuman identities. But I just kind of go with the flow now. Don’t force anything. Label it as I can, and if I can’t, I at least try not to worry about it.

It’s getting cooler out finally, so my canine side is resurfacing. It’s a double edged sword. Slightly more stagnant identity, which I like; but severe, crippling dysphoria.

I remember my sheep. How I watched over them. Protected them from predators. How they followed each other off a cliff edge. How I saved one, dragged it back to the farm.

I remember running. Running through autumn woods and hopping logs. The smell. The feeling of the leaves.

I miss that life.

A lot of therian discords tend to not like the idea of "physically" shifting so its hard to explain my experiences with transformation there. Maybe I will make one?

Psychosis is killing me lately and I’ve been transforming more than I have in years. I keep just curling up with my whole body under a blanket or in my closet and feeling my teeth get long and heavy, and the fur covering me. I think it’s a fear thing, my brain is almost using my wolf to cope. Even right now my teeth feel too large and I keep growling at things on instinct.

Endelic Divine/Deity/God: This is my “main” identity. I have no “true” form! I take the shape of anything canine-like. Usually a fox like creature. Currently taking the shape of zorua. Before I died and came here however I took a fox like form. I still tend to stay in that form. I’ve come here in search of my partner. We’ve spent all of our lives together. Including this one!! I’m the god of fertility, wine, good harvest, and canines.

Endelic Canine Cryptid: Once again, no true form. Vaguely lycanthrope but I can once again turn into any canine from any where. I prefer a dark coated were coyote however. I’m very church grim like.

I want to see more portrayals of raw nonhumanity.

I want us to talk about ALL aspects of nonhumanity. we can talk about wanting to play fight, to chase prey, to long for missing extremities, but we should also be talking about wanting to roll in filth, wanting to mark your territory, urges to eat your young, and everything else that's "gross" even if it’s uncomfortable. Nonhumanity is weird and gross, it makes you want to do things that humans don't do. We don't exist to be palatable images of "human who identifies as an animal (but only in the cute ways).”

There is a unintentionally upheld standard that you have to make an image out of your identity, it HAS to be pretty and digestible for other people, your nonhumanity MUST to be organized and palatable. it can be "edgy" but it can't be too weird otherwise you're too weird. Why bind your existence to an idea of normalcy? Why stifle yourself in order to conform to the standards of a world that will never accept you? Why strive to be accepted by those that will never truly listen to you?

You are more than aesthetic photos and gear and silly posts!!! You are full of depth, you are a grotesque experience and you are made of blood and bones and guts and thoughts and instincts, and all of that should be treated with as much weight as it can be! You are allowed to be “Off.”

Interrogate your own discomfort around your identity, let yourself be okay with the things that are uncomfortable!!! You should relish in your own nonhumanity, you should wholeheartedly project the nasty and weird and angry parts of existence as an animal, they are just as real and as tangible and beautiful as your collars or your masks or your tails or anything else you hold dear. yeesh!
