Chapter summary: The aftermath of the Trial of One.
Fic summary: When Flynn leaves, Eve is devastated, though she does her best not to show it, to throw herself into work again, to be as normal as she possibly can and believe things will turn out okay. Jenkins and Cassandra are there to help her through, both in different ways, steadfast and quiet, empathetic and energetic. It will be enough. At least she hopes it will be as the date of the tethering looms and changes beyond Flynn leaving head for the Library faster than thought.

Love how Jenkins acts as if the LITs and co. were vermin he has unwittingly acquired in the Annex. Like you don’t want them to die because they’re living beings but also they’re a bit gross and in your way and can they go be living beings somewhere else? And then a couple of episodes later it’s like “these bugs are my children. still gross, but I love them“
the sibling fighting in this episode is top tier and poor Eve has to deal with it while Cassandra and Jenkins are scavenger-hunting around the Library and being adorable
S02E01 is an incredibly bisexual episode. Stone patting Jenkins’s ass, Flynn accidentally blurting “I love you” to Moriarty before babbling about his relationship with Eve, Moriarty instant chemistry with Eve, Cassandra flirting with the Italian woman more successfully than Ezekiel did all night
In an already very bisexual show, the bi density of this episode was just off the charts
I finished “The Librarians”, y’all. What do I do now? 😱
Maybe it’s time for a “Leverage” rewatch. That show is perfection.
A few thoughts first:
1. I weirdly enjoyed the shorter seasons. I felt like the show was more focused.
2. Jenkins. I just adored him. It is by far my favorite role with John Larroquette. The scene where he’s a D&D Dungeon Master was a thing of beauty.
3. I love Eve’s maternal vibes.
4. Love love loved Ezekiel’s character development. The looper episode broke me.
5. The ships, but also… not? I totally ship Jacob and Cassandra, but also Jenkins and Cassandra, and yet… I really liked how they just… were. I love a good platonic relationship just as much.
6. Judson and Charlene.
7. The series finale. I don’t know if they knew the show was ending or not, but this was one of the best series finales I have ever seen. Just beautiful.
I told my husband this show gave me “SeaQuest” vibes: a great cast of characters, episodes that almost always ended on a happy note, and just a feel good vibe when I watched it. A great comfort show. I adore “Leverage”, too, so it was meant to be.
If you haven’t seen “The Librarians” it is currently streaming on Freevee. I will definitely be purchasing this one.

the biggest polycule show ever was the librarians. I've never seen a show where every character was fucking. All the time. You're gonna look at those faces and tell me they weren't? Or worse, that they're straight?? NO

Summary:
There are many types of immortality in the magical world. Any person who’s ever worked in the Library has crossed at least one of these. Some of those people even have immortality themselves. Outsiders, people of society, mainly associate immortality with eternal youth.
They are not wrong.
Most immortalities prevent one from the process of physical aging.
Jenkins, the Library’s Caretaker is one such person. And he had been little more than a boy when he had drunk from the Holy Grail. The Librarians do not know this. (Flynn Carsen might). Their Guardian does not know this.
He does not want them to know this.
The vampire that throws a revelation potion at him on a whim during the fight does not care.
A simple vampire case turns out to be much more than that. But Jenkins had promised to protect the Librarians in their Guardian’s absence, and he will if it’s the last thing he does, even if there are a few unexpected obstacles along the way. Or, S3E8 with a small twist.
