there may be smoke and fire with no extended hand on the other side, yet isolation (ptsd) is just that, a walk through fire. Disconnecting from self, is separation from everything else, a stone and a hard place with not a bit of wiggle room. when the pain seems too great, know that you about to come out the other side. Things aren't going to be easy on the other end, there's the factor of rebuilding which seems like a pain. Remember the fire, smoke and pain - take a breath realizing the air is clear. It won't seem like grown at first and doubts will spring from the mind and that's ok, work the pain; rush through and the pain will only follow you into the future.
The terrible factor of post-traumatic stress, the brain becomes neurologically linked to the thought or the memory of a very painful moment(s) (it becomes a ground fault to electrical current within the brain, you brain will always go there) From my understanding the best way to overcome PTSD is to have a very strong grip on the understanding behind the pain, and develop a very intimate understanding of why the pain affects you so greatly. Some people don't get answers, that is most difficult aspect of healing also dealing with Post traumatic stress. when you don't get the answers you're looking for, be unbelievably forgiving of the ideas that you could've done something different or better. It's very easy in tough situations to forget the human aspect of our nature, even easier to want to override and constantly pursue other pathways a different outcome, in hopes of mentally managing situation outside of our control. Forgiveness is the last thing which comes across the mind and it's not for the other person, it's very much for ourselves. It can be unbelievably impossible to keep a lite heart when you're brain and your body feels such a tremendous pain.
