AOD was discussing the problems with the informational labels that growers and producers put on their products with Medicine Creek Analytics earlier today. Here are four examples which illustrate the need for enforcement of a standardized labeling system in Washington State. The first label in the series is missing several things required by law in this state. One of the things missing is the % of THC, this IS NOT the same as THCA. THCA in a plant needs to be heated to convert to THC which is what gets you high. Total cannabanoid content is also frequently put front and center on packaging to attempt to trick consumers into thinking it represents THC content. Total cannabanoids represents THCA + CBDA + there are a lot of other cannabanoids. When STG purchased the product shown here that came in the yellow package, the budtenders in the store promoted it as being 32.8% "fire", fake news folks, that is total cannabanoids. The THC content is actually 28.2% according to the package and only 25.6% according to lab test AOD had conducted on it.
