hi!! random question but as a teacher, do you think going to college is worth it ? thinking about going back to school and becoming a history major.

Hi!

I have a weird view of college because of my educational history so take this with a grain of salt!

I don’t think college is for everyone; I think there’s plenty of vocational and trade schools and certifications that fit people more than a traditional college setting does.

That being said, I love being in college; I love learning and the challenge of it. And as a teacher, there’s definitely benefits to going to college depending on what field you want to go into.

If you want to go back to school and get a history degree, do it. But don’t do it because society says you have to. Do it because you want to!

I love Din without his helmet. Pedro Pascal and his pretty ass face? Yes. All day every day bb.

But the whole appeal of Din’s character (to me, at least) is how much you’re drawn to him without knowing what he looks like (which is a testament to Pascal’s acting as well, I think). His movements, his actions, the way he holds himself —shit even his voice. These draw the viewers in long before we see his face.

The idea that the princess fell in love with him long before she knew what he looked like is just P E A K romance to me. Because it also shows how deep their love is. She’s a fucking princess. She is used to pretty and attractive and everything perfect. But suddenly she’s thrown into the action of running for her life while also falling for this mysterious man behind a mask. Peak romance. PEAK.

And she’s a goddamn princess —of course she wants to learn more about his culture. Her life has revolved around learning of other people and their ways, as to better prepare herself to be a leader. Din just happens to omit details about his culture because I wanted him to explore that side of him that questions his religion —if anything because he wants to be selfish just a little. Only to realize that he has someone who wants to help him remain faithful (wait until she meets Bo ofc and is confused by that whole thing).

But listen. The Creed and the Way —this is such an integral part of the Mandalorian and his character. While I 100000% consume content that chooses to cast that character detail aside (to each their own, and I am not shitting on anyone who does because I see both sides of the “he’s in a cult!” And “it’s his religion!” argument as someone who is both spiritual and atheist) —I wanted to personally explore that religious upbringing and bring it into a more inclusive realm of being accepted as not Mandalorian and marrying one, and being an outsider who will not take up the Creed but be with someone who does. Being the supportive person of someone’s beliefs without outright converting yourself.
