ID: 1. Waist up of Laszlo relaxing on a settee, one elbow draped on the back and the other holding up an unlit pipe. His brow is furrowed and he is frowning towards something below him on the floor. He says, in the form of a screenshot of a text post from @terramythos, "Prithee tell. What is 'ligma'?" 2. Close up of teenage Colin Robinson in a beige hoodie and hat, looking up at Laszlo from his seat on the floor. He pulls his headphones down to drape around his neck as he replies, in the form of a screenshot response by @pillowfriendly, "Such riddles can only be answered by the mind goblin." 3. Reverse shot of Laszlo as he leans forward with a glare and points toward Colin with his pipe. He snarls, via a screenshot response from terramythos, "Enough of your riddles! Who is the 'mind goblin'?" 4. Wide shot of them both as Colin sits up on the floor with a giant grin, fists splayed out behind him, and shouts at the top of his lungs "MIND GOBLIN THESE NUTS!" The screenshot response from pillowfriendly is in green shrek font and has been warped and sent through chromatic aberration for emphasis. Laszlo sits frozen on the settee, still pointing with his pipe, face blank. /end ID

Laszlo better cry when he sees the video Colin made for him. He made an epic video abt how cool his dad is all by himself and you know laszlos going to pretend that he’s fine but he’s going to cry abt it. And then the next day, he’s going to casually come in and offer to play legos w him, even tho he doesn’t get it, and Colin’s face is going to light up and they’re going to play together 😤

I think baby Colin Robinson should have objected but it would have just been him reciting the digits of pi for five minutes until laszlo swooped in and went bed time

I know Lazlo is harsh on Baby Colin Robinson in The Night Market, but when Lazlo tells Colin Robinson that fairies are nasty cockroach creatures he isn't trying to "strip the magic from the world" he is trying to PROTECT him. WWDITS-verse does not function on fairy tale logic. This is way more like a dad trying to make sure his son understands that strapping some make-shift wings to his arms and jumping off the roof will end really badly for him, even though it works perfectly in his favorite cartoon.

My Familiar's Ghost part 25
Masterpost
(ID in alt and under cut)
ID: 1a. Shot of Laszlo from over Colin’s shoulder. Colin, facing away from the viewer, lowers his head and says “I do remember one thing pretty clearly, though.” Laszlo, awkwardly pressing his fingers together, looks up and asks “Oh? What’s that?” 1b. Close up of Colin looking up at Laszlo with a grateful smile. He replies, “I remember I had a pretty happy childhood. I felt really…loved?” 1c. Reverse shot, close up of Laszlo, whose eyes have widened and filled with tears. Colin continues from offscreen, “I didn’t feel that way before, so… thank you.”
2a. Waist up of Laszlo turning and clearing his throat into his fist, trying to brush off his emotional reaction. He mumbles, “S-sure, yeah.” 2b. Repeat. Colin lurches forward and throws his arms around Laszlo’s neck in a hug. Laszlo reacts in shock, eyes wide and still blinking back tears, arms flying out uncertainly. “Oh! Erm…” 2c. Repeat, wider shot. Laszlo is frozen in the hug, arms hovering in the air as he asks, “Ahm. We’re hugging now, are we? …Okay…” 2d. Repeat. Laszlo sighs and closes his eyes, face relaxing as he rests hands on Colin’s back, repeating, “Okay.” /end ID

I think that we can all agree that canonically:
Lazlo: I believe it will rot the child's brain. This obsession with legos, infomercials and all that jizz.
Guillermo: Jazz, Lazlo. It's "all that Jazz".
Lazlo: Don't blame the music, boy.
Guillermo: *stares at camera apologetically*

So, in the spur of the moment, I wrote two short WWWDITS one-shots that are vastly different but (in my opinion) both pretty good.
This one is a lighter fic with a hint Nandermo, but it’s also partly gen in the sense that it doesn’t entirely focus on them.
This one is an angsty, depressing Dadzlo fic that’s named after a lyric from Slipping Through My Fingers by ABBA.
If you gave either of them a read, it’d be pretty cool.

WWDITS episode 10 title analysis
If you don’t know, the title of episode ten was changed, it was originally titled “Memories” but it was updated to “Sunrise, Sunset”. Both titles originated from a different song from a different musical. This may have been unintentional, but I highly doubt that.
“Memories” is the title of a song from the musical Cats, the title implies a reflection on the season (or seasons) and the song itself is about looking back on life waiting for the day they are reborn as better - which somewhat applies to Baby Collin’s story of dying and being reborn. The song also mentions “another day dawning” waiting for the sunrise and a new day to begin.
“Sunrise, Sunset” is a song from Fiddler on the Roof. The song is a woman and a man reflecting on their children growing up, with lyrics like “seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers” and “Wasn’t it yesterday when they were small?”. I’ve also never seen fiddler on the roof but it seems like two adults hoping their children will be able to flourish without the care of their parents anymore and the melancholy they feel at growing older and their kids not needing them anymore.
Both songs have a theme of time passing and growing older, reflecting on what life has been like as you see those around you begin to start their journeys as yours is ending. The original song seems more applicable to Collin’s personal life, who he was before fading into the distant past as he confronts a new day and a new beginning. The new title seems much more applicable to Lazlo, and alludes to Lazlo’s personal journey with raising Collin and how that may affect their future relationship. Collin is quickly becoming an adult and he’s not going to need Lazlo anymore very soon. Many people are curious as to how this is going to impact their relationship when Collin is once again an adult and how now instead of being Lazlo’s housemate he’s going to be somewhat of a son to him. I’m curious as to if Collin will stay in the home, or if he will fly the coop. He’s old enough to realize what kind of parent Lazlo is and how Lazlo treated him as a kid. Lazlo may have loved Collin but he was not very affectionate towards him, Collin himself said he wondered if Lazlo even liked him. And then there’s the question of if Collin will even remember his childhood as an adult. The original Collin Robinson didn’t really remember anything about growing up, he had a grandmother who he remembered but beyond that he didn’t seem to really know where he came from. Is Collin going to forget about his childhood in the manor? Is Lazlo going to have to pretend that he wasn’t Collin’s father figure and the person who protected him as he was getting older? The song “Sunrise, Sunsets” has a lot of sadness mixed into the lyrics, it seems to be about saying goodbye. Is this how Lazlo is going to feel about Collin’s childhood?
