You can't see it through a screen but I'm like

Actually physically vibrating.

I came up with this AU over a year ago and it was basically "what if Alexi (my Nerevarine) just. Joined the 6th House instead of killing Dagoth Ur?"

The timing of WHEN she joined has changed a bit (from right before the fight to when she meets Dagoth Gares) and the REASONING has changed a lot (from "I don't actually like Morrowind, fuck them dudes" to "I have 0 support system and have a child and I've been sucked into a cult") but the very very basic premise is the same.

It was initially my crack AU where I couldn't tell if I wanted to ship Alexi and Dagoth Ur or not. And now it has like... Dementia metaphors. How did this even happen.

Anyways, the story ACTUALLY follows Alexi's daughter (who's never been Dagoth Ur's, no matter when in this AU's history you look). Her arc used to be centered around a lot of confusion as to why people hated her, and why things were happening, etc etc. Now she's actually gonna do something about it in the end. I'm gonna have so many random thoughts at the bottom of this just. Smushed in.

It also went from Armina being the one with zero support system to now she has an adopted sister and also a best friend/love interest when she's older. Terastelle Telvanni (sister) save me.. save me Terastelle Telvanni...

Anywho, the story has like... 2 main plots: Armina learning her dad is ✨terrible✨ and Alexi progressing through Corprus and becoming Nerevar (and losing Alexi). I will just say, though, to Armina and Tera, since they're actually IN the cult, Dagoth Ur is not a menacing figure until they know what's going on outside the mountain. I'm writing a scene where Armina literally drags him around. He's not Dagoth Ur to those kids, he's just dad.

Anyway, Alexi holds the Tools of Kagrenac (from the original au) for the most part, and she used them to manipulate the Heart to make sure her children wouldn't get Corprus (side effect was about a generation can't get it because she didn't know how to specify well). Alexi, however, DOES get it, and it leads to her physically and mentally becoming Nerevar, if that makes sense? The way it affects her is it morphs her body to be more similar to his, and it degrades her mind until she's left with only his memories and personality. And her kids have to watch it in real time 👍.

Anyway, back to the main cast: Armina, Terastelle, and Teldryn Sero. The last one was not planned.

All three represent both the main 3 star signs, as well as the Good 3 Daedra, AND they fall into "bad Daedra" counterparts later

Armina is half Bosmer and half Dunmer, and she's the Warrior and representation of Mephala (cause she's in a web of lies) and she falls to Clavicus Vile in a search for power to destroy Dagoth Ur. She fights with a big ol' 2-handed sword.

Terastelle is half Dunmer and half Altmer, she's the Mage and the representation of Boethiah. My violence wins mage <3. She falls to Malacath because of how she's treated in the cult (not as badly as those outside of the mountain, but less well than Armina, because even though Armina isn't a full Dunmer, she's also Nerevar's child, so she gets a pass). Tera gets motivated by vengeance after she learns her parents were murdered by the cult. This goes interestingly for her. Idk if she gets really hurt by it or not, but she's very scorches earth about "no Dagoth survivors" just like how her family had no survivors.

Teldryn is the thief who represents Azura, and he's the only full Dunmer in the gang, but he's from outside the mountain. When he's introduced, Blacklight is the most recent addition to the house. He falls to Sheogorath (seeking a middle ground led him to insanity or something, idk). He fights with pretty much his normal fighting style from Skyrim, which is pretty mixed. I need to develop him more in the context of the AU, but I'll get to that after this.

Anywho, random thoughts now!

As the Warrior, Armina protects the Steed from the Serpent, and Alexi's sign is the Steed 👍

Both Alexi and Armina are trying to save the people they love, in different ways, and in the end, both fail.

Is my HoK still Sheogorath or is it normal Sheo?

Armina can manipulate dreams which is part of what pushes her to be Dagoth Ur's favorite child.

The way the story is written changes as Armina grows up and then learns more about the cult. Slow-burn horror 👍

I get to write Clavicus Vile at some point, I'm excited.

Armina asking Alexi why she doesn't wear layers and Alexi trying to find a way to answer that isn't "because I don't expect to have skin for much longer anyway”. The answer she ends up going with is "Mountain's too damn hot" and then starts crying whenever her daughter leaves the room

Alexi's character in that AU is so interesting to me

Like, she's technically placed very high in the hierarchy, probably second to Dagoth Ur himself, yet she's got next to no power because those she loves would be in danger if she tried anything

Anyways, I'm writing for this, drawing for it, and I'll start posting more stuff once I have the first bit of the story written and the portrait finished. Have a Tera for your time <3

Idea for a story

i would love love LOVE to write about voryn resurrecting him. the fact that he's technically dagoth ur's first ash creature (the ash king!) is so insane to me why don't we all talk about that what the hell is going on there

starting to realize it's kinda hard to have unpopular opinions about these characters uh. i don't think he was really on board with the whole invasion of resdayn even if he went along with it like a bastard. he says himself he doesn't care about the nords and just wanted to use them to get to lorkhan's heart. his only role in any of that was being so big and powerful that nobody wanted to fuck with vvardenfell for two hundred years

i kept meaning to post my ideas on natavi's new backstory on here

-he is an orphan, his mother was an ashlander wise woman of the erabenimsum tribe, and a descendant of alandro sul, his father was an altmer scholar studying their culture who fell in love with her

-his altmer relatives disapprove of the relationship because of their heavy prejudice

-when they find out he had a child with an ashlander, it sets them off. they have both of natavi's parents assassinated, he's sent to an orphanage as an infant.

-eventually runs off as a teenager, is taken in by an argonian mage of house telvanni who also had his own daughter, natavi sees them both as his family and is very close to them

-im still keeping his poison immunity but from a different cause, he basically practiced mithridatism to see if he could pull it off and be like his dad and sister who are immune to poison as argonians. pretty much only the most vile of poisons can have any sort of effect on him. magical poison does nothing. this makes it ironic when his grandson is born under the sign of the serpent and becomes a skilled poisoner.

-when natavi is imprisoned it's from directly defying imperial lawmen. the emperor knows what he is and his destiny from his Old Bitch Visions and decides to be an asshole and muscle this half ashlander guy into cooperating with the empire to try and make the nerevarine prophecies benefit the empire. he didn't consider the fact that natavi would kill all of the blades agents he's found after caius was of no use to him. and that he'd become archmagister of house telvanni.

-massive fucking whiplash finding out his true heritage and daedric nature. oh so that's why he sometimes gets visions of the future. fuck.

-he is not literally nerevar incarnate, he's simply taking up his mantle of godkiller, he is able to wear moon-and-star through his bloodline. exacting revenge on dagoth ur and the tribunal is his birthright.

-this dude can fit so much magic in him

anyway I mentioned that Athile had like. a niece. anyway I think he has a pretty big family, he's got three older sisters, with the eldest being like a good 10-15 years older than him. uhhh I guess her name is uhhh Varani, and SHE has a daughter named Irethys.

tangent- this family just happens to have a lot of girls, it's not impossible I swear, my dad has 2 sisters and one sister had two daughters and my dad himself had two daughters ITS NORMAL IT HAPPENS whatever.

Anyways, while Athile was kinda the youngest sibling, he still ended up taking care of Irethys a lot. hold on doing math in my head

Yeah he was like a young teenager when she was born so he did a lot of babysitting.

tangent 2- in the mothermara cinematic universe, dunmer sometimes have really fucked up long lifespans, but this is usually like wizards and such. most dunmer age at a relatively familiar rate until they get old, and then they get older, then they get older, and then they get to the top of the telvanni council and continue getting older. but if you're just like a regular peasant you just die at 67 of a respiratory illness because youve lived your entire life breathing volcanic ash from plague mountain.

Anyway after Athile meets Neht and actually spends time outside of the immediate scope of the Sixth House, he realizes that Dagoth Ur may have, to some extent, misrepresented the way the world is. Like, it IS bad in a lot of ways, but a lot of those ways suspiciously correlate to xenophobia. Which is. you know. one of Dagoth's main things really.

Most of his family is like MY GOD you let your child outside of red mountain for TWO MINUTES and suddenly he doesnt believe in scientology anymore? This is why we can't trust the outside world smh. But Irethys like kinda does not like her mom and kinda likes Athile more than her and she also thinks that if his worldview was so easily dismantled by the mere act of Going Outside then maybe the worldview is a bit bad and stupid. So like, eventually she works up the nerve to bail, and Neht and Athile give her moon-and-star as a sort of "stay safe, don't die" keepsake. So on and so forth.

see there's two ways about that... some characters are legit really young like... Aizawa or Reigen but the fans call them "hot old dads" even though they're only 27??? but that's probably cuz those fans are like literally 12 so to them 27 is olde.

The true way to elder code someone is when they don't have a canon age. Take All Might for example. Coughs up blood, deathly sick, been through shit, and we just vaguely know that he's older than Endeavor. He may be 45. Maybe. Or maybe he's 60+ cuz that's sexier??????

Or heck even Spy or Medic. Game takes place during the late 60's early 70's. Both of those characters are implied to have gone through WW2, so that's the 40's. Again, you can take that to mean they're like 45 cuz 20 years have passed.

OR you can be extremely huge brained like me and make them 60+ years old so they can get that IHOP waffle senior discount and the reap the sweet, sweet rewards of age: EXPERIENCE, WRINKLES, DEPRESSION, AND A BODY THAT'S RAPIDLY BREAKING DOWN FROM THE EXERTIONS OF THEIR YOUTH.

Anyways, you don't see Dagoth Ur's face but he is extremely Gramps Off His Medication coded. It's been 4000 years. He's been corrupted by the heart. But also corrupted by being so damn old. He doesn't think so good anymore and thinks that genociding everyone via horrible disease is a good idea. It's okay, I can make him better/worse.

🔥 Voryn’s brothers and your Nerevarine oc

Voryn's brothers now have a special place in my heart because of you. Araynys actually not the rudest of the brothers. He is very sweet and kind. Especially compared to Voryn! Also Endus is the family matchmaker. He very very very much encouraged Voryn and Nerevar towards eachother before Nerevar's marriage to Almalexia. No one can tell me otherwise. He also encouraged Nerevar to try to fight their dad for Voryn's hand. Vemyn is the rudest of the brothers no doubt though. As the eldest, he feels entitled to bully all his younger siblings equally and that means Voryn! Also he still makes fun of Nerevar for losing to their dad.

Also, my Nerevarine specifically? Unpopular opinions could be anything. He has a very hard transition into dunmer culture. And well, refuses to listen to anyone. The only reason he pushes forward as Nerevarine is in hopes he can see his gf (my HOK, Kiarsa) in Cyrodiil again 😔. He does however, develop a very very awkward crush on Dagoth Ur and Vivec. He cannot look either in the eye without being red in the face. Or remembering something from Nerevar about Voryn. As for Vivec, he likes the way ze sound. He lets Vivec live. And feels awful for Almalexia, he really really didn't want to fight her. It was also very awkward as he realizes he IS Nerevar. So he often reflects on every action. He ends up with a lot of problems later.

Othrril can definately take care of a plant and a pet. In fact, he had a pet scrib back when he was little. It lived quite a long time, devastated him when it passed. Now a child is a different story. He knows that a child is major responsibility and honestly he’d be a great dad but he wouldn’t want to have a kid unless he was absolutely certain that he could provide a stable environment. 

20. What do they like that nobody else does?

He actually enjoys the ash storms of Vvardenfell. He likes listening to the wind and watching the way the ash dances in the wind. People hear that and think he’s a weirdo.

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

Apart from the Dagoth Ur nightmares, he dreams about his parents a lot, particularly his mother’s singing. When he was little he got bit by a wild animal and got really sick. His mom would sing to him when the fever got bad and eventually he’d fall asleep. I think that those dreams and memories of her singing helped to keep him sane when the nightmares began.

What can you model into Morrowind?

The only real requirements is that the polycount is low enough not to go nuts, and that the model correctly exports to .obj format. This is harder than you think, if I wanted to take some free hat and put it into Morrowind there’s a million free hats and a lot of them are modeled by absolute amateurs who cannot model their way out of a paper bag, so you end up with shit like a fifty million polygon cowboy hat that has normals that are more fucked up than my dad’s diet, which makes them hard to import.

But I could give a netch a crown or Vivec a fedora or Dagoth Ur a billboard on his helmet that has the entirety of the C&BT wikipedia page printed out on it.
