So after having an AI generate a Pokémon design after my username (DraptorRonin), I was genuinely surprised how... spot on what it spat-out really was! 

From the colors, to the over-all aesthetic, etc., I knew I had to make him in SPORE. And once again, I am genuinely surprised how well this turned out!

I call him the Aidraptoroid (as in A.I. & Draptor [Dragon + Raptor]-like)!

I tripped and wound up developing a whole new mudokon tribe, and since they're based in the middle of a jungle I wanted to diversify the resident fauna a bit rather than keep falling back on the (depressingly) small number of wild animal species actually featured in Oddworld games or even referenced in development work.

There's these huge swathes of grey areas between the tiny number of species we do know about and it makes things feel very bare-bones when it comes to writing storylines so this is an attempt to spice things up instead of just going "uhhhhh scrab did it" any time I need a wild animal to kick up a disturbance. It also gives me a lot more to work with when it comes to developing cultures and traditions that include references to local wildlife. The draptor is absolutely a nod to another of my own species because there are no rules here. I actually did a whole sheet of these then decided I liked some of them a little too much and took them for my original project but I might pick out a few more for Oddworld-related purposes or doodle up a completely fresh batch. This sorta stuff is great for creature design practice and I kind of love the manterine and may still wind up including it in Mercia-based work

Viewer (or rather, Reader) is not required.]* My tumblr app doesn't load more than ~7 posts on my home feed. ~5/~7 posts are of various "blogs in my orbit/recommended" (aka blogs I haven't followed). The ~2 post that ARE from people I DO follow are typically just duplicates of one another, as if they posted/reblog he's the same thing twice (even if they only did it once.) I have an iPhone 4. I haven't been able to update my iOS in years. My Tumblr app is also out of date. I don't remember my Apple ID login stuff to allow automatic updates. I have the login info readily available at all times. I forget I have that luxury. I might also be too lazy to actually make use of it, too. I really don't know. Goodnight, Stay Woke.

Why I use the username "DraptorRonin" on the internet these days...

Just thought I'd make this post for reference in the future in case someone asks me why it is my username. For starters, there's Draptor. What exactly is a "Draptor"? Simply put, it is a fantastical beast that resembles that of a Dragon-Raptor (Dinosaur) hybrid. A good friend of mine coined the term "Draptor" when he drew a picture of one back in high school. Since then, I've adapted the beast for my story (a graphic novel in the early stages of development), in which they are an extinct group of creatures related to the people in the fiction setting (not gonna expand as it would be too long). As for "Ronin", the term is a Japanese word that refers to a Samurai who has no master (or is looking for a master/lord to work for). The word itself means "wave man", perhaps referencing the way the ocean's tide comes and goes as it ebbs and flows, much as a Ronin comes and goes due to not being sworn to someone. I use it because 1. I like samurai, Japan, the whole culture surrounding bushido, the shogunate, etc., 2. Personal reason that I'd rather not take up your time with.
