i finally started reading Dreadful Night and i love it so much!!!! i'm hust gonna rehash my comments i made on 🥭 under the cut bc i have theories!!
so initially, i thought that since bae hyungshin (blue haired good -natured idiot) was worried about seo jaeseob (the chronic complainer) going off on his own when they were at the abandoned house, that eventually all the NPC guys would become self-aware and the six of them would become a team—either to escape together or they would help bada escape since he's (as far as we know rn i believe) the only non-npc in the group.
however, now that i'm all caught and the rest of the guys are starting to suspect bada and doha of being the killers, i see that that might not end up being the case?
i also have suspcions that doha might seem like he's trying to help bada, but in reality, he's going to try and keep bada in the game for as long as possible, potentially turning bada into an npc. because there was that one moment where bada said he didn't know what he was like irl anymore and felt like he was starting to lose his memories.
i'm really curious is this plus the rest of the group becoming suspicious of the two of them will result in the plot of the game changing to bada having to not only survive the killer, but also survive the other NPCs as well. doha included, but he's also a wild card. like i can see bada keeping doha by his side because while doha may want to hinder bada's success, he'd be good at keeping bada from getting killed at least.
ultimately, this series is so exciting and i'm really glad i finally started reading it. i saw an ad for it on tiktok, but i didnt watch it in full, so i was kinda worried about what kind of series it'd be—as in, would there be excessive noncon scenes amongst all the death and gore. but thankfully, while there has been some noncon/dubcon elements, it's more or less for the plot/strategic and not super uncomfortable. especially since now, bada is going to play into doha's desires.
