i. The fire roared beside them, keeping the frosty chill of the air conditioning at bay. Jonathan wanted to recapture the cozy pleasure they’d found in the snow and then somehow lost with their houseguests.
It wasn’t even a real fight. He was irritable and achy and he took it out on his wife, something he wasn’t very proud of. He wanted to erase that squabble, overwrite it with silly rhymes and longings whispered into Jennifer’s skin.
He wanted to chase the shiver over her skin and replace it with kisses of apology and forgiveness until they were all that existed.
ii. It felt so nice to be snuggled up beside Jonathan, his strong arms warding off the chill. There had been a chill and not just from the air conditioner.
She wasn’t even sure what caused it, what made the house suddenly feel so small. The lack of space pinched at them until they were sniping at each other. They never sniped at each other.
At least not until Pamela and Braddon showed up. As if their toxic relationship tainted the very air on the estate.
She snuggled in and chuckled over Max, glad to finally have everything back to normal.

File: Terrifier
SCP#: ACM
Code Name: Art the Clown/ Banished from Hell/ [data expunged]: Demigod of Madness.
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: All copies of SCP-ACM are contained at Site-AB. The SCP-ACM copies are stored in one of the larger storage areas of Site-AB in a separate room coated with Thaumaturgic talisman to further contain SCP-ACM-1's influence. With the room, each copy is wrapped in harvested human skin of D Class personnel with engraved Thaumaturgic symbols. The Thaumaturgic symbols are meant to keep the souls of the D Class harvested from and use their spiritual energy to keep the flesh fresh and strong to hold the SCP-ACM instances and their own spiritual energy within to continue to trap SCP-ACM-1. Holding the flesh together is a Beryllium Bronze coin of 1 mm of thickness and 25 mm in diameter. The Beryllium Bronze ensures that the spiritual energy within the SCP-ACM copies is siphoned into energy to continue to power the flesh surrounding them. Once the flesh finally starts rotting that means that the SCP-ACM has lost its connection and power given by SCP-ACM-1 and it is safe for Foundation staff to discard. However, Foundation staff are to always wear Anti-Cognito Headgear to ensure the slight possibility that SCP-ACM-1 is somehow casting illusions to allow itself to escape.
Description: SCP-ACM is a collection of VHS and DVD's that tell the horrific exploits of a humanoid clown of black and white known as Art the Clown. This entity has been labeled SCP-ACM-1 and is presumed to be an extremely sadistically driven meta god. Much like the meta god [data expunged], SCP-ACM-1 is metaphysically immortal and God-like so long as a recording account of its existence is kept. However, unlike [data expunged] who likes to spread satirical comedy and joy, SCP-ACM-1 only enjoys torturing people or killing them in the most sadistic ways possible. SCP-ACM-1 is even able to come to the real world in order to kill more that can be turned into other copies of SCP-ACM.
SCP-ACM-1 takes it a step further by also tormenting those few that are allowed to survive his attacks. It seems by doing this these unfortunate souls become insane and obsessed with SCP-ACM-1 further allowing him to maintain his presence in the physical world. Essentially a never-ending loop of torture, death, and insanity that ensures that SCP-ACM-1 not only gets more SCP-ACM copies and manages to stay in our world but will grow infinity stronger as time goes on.
SCP-ACM copies have shown that SCP-ACM-1 has connections to seemingly demonic enemies straight from hell and possibly Entity of Interest: Satan himself. There have also been copies of SCP-ACM showing SCP-ACM-1 having assistants in his work including what appears to be a female counterpart supposedly his little sister or perhaps lover.  It is believed that if SCP-ACM had continued in his terror he would be able to bring this female clown as well as other demonic entities into our world to further spread his influence and power.
Each SCP-ACM copy carries a fragment of his power and acts as a sort of port that allows him to manifest into our world. SCP-ACM can manifest illusions or cognitive effects to make people want to show the copy to many others, further spreading SCP-ACM-1's influence and growth in power. It's even possible for SCP-ACM-1's past victims to become SCP-ACM instances as he will always exist in their minds. In a rare occurrence he can burst out of their stomach if he is killed so that he can exact revenge quickly. It is for this reason that SCP-ACM instances can't be simply destroyed as doing so could cause SCP-ACM-1 to change his tactics and feeding patterns to become even harder to destroy. This is why the Foundation's Containment Procedures are the way they are, to ensure that SCP-ACM-1 is slowly weakened until there's nothing he can do.
SCP-ACM-1 was discovered in 2016 when one of the most horrific murders was reported in [data expunged], New York. Originally this wasn't considered a problem for the Foundation especially since the killer was killed. But the next day it was reported he was alive and started killing again despite having a visible gunshot wound in the head. The Foundation quickly sent Mobile Task Force Omicron-67 "Zeroth Responders" to find and capture him. However, due to SCP-ACM-1 killing two of the agents in an ambush the other three shot him dead. Surprisingly after his death the body just disappeared, with there being no trace of his existence anymore there was no way to track him, so it was presumed he died and that was the end of it.
Unfortunately, SCP-ACM copies started showing up in bargain bins and retail movie stores allowing people to see SCP-ACM-1's rampage thinking it was just a horror movie. This unfortunately allowed SCP-ACM-1 to manifest in our world again and start killing again to create more movies, short films, and even an anthology collection of his sadistic exploits. Because SCP-ACM-1 started killing again and more SCP-ACM started manifesting after each killing spree the Foundation realized it wasn't a coincidence.
Several investigations and failed capture operations led the Foundation to learn all it did about SCP-ACM. It was only in 2022 when a method of capturing SCP-ACM-1 was created by slowly draining the power of the SCP-ACM instances. The fact that it took six years to contain such a dangerous entity and it managed to kill countless civilians in the process makes this one of the Foundation’s greatest failures.
To properly contain SCP-ACM-1’s influence, Mobile Task Force Aphrodite-5 "Fake Muse" has been tasked with finding every bought, sold, and traded instance of SCP-ACM and bringing them to the Foundation for containment. Meanwhile every time SCP-ACM-1 manifests in our world, it is to be entrusted to Mobile Task Force Demeter-5 "Animal Control". Because SCP-ACM-1 feeds on the terror of humans it is unable to resurrect itself or even grow stronger when fighting animals. SCP-939 and SCP-ABC-2 instances have proven to show the best results in hunting and killing SCP-ACM-1. It's also thanks to their training under MTF Demeter-5 that the domesticated SCP-939 and SCP-ABC-2 instances know to stay in the dark and out of civilian sight. Though as always, MTF Demeter-5 is given amnestics and emergency A Dart ammunition just in case.

Thoughts on this post?:
https://www.tumblr.com/animentality/64152073250/abc-newsman-proves-danger-of-allowing-transgender?source=share
thanks for reminding me to delete that post I made in literally 2013 when I was 15 because it doesn't reflect who I am as a person anymore.
is this supposed to be a gotcha?
are people supposed to be born woke?
I am amazed you managed to even find this post with like 6 notes, where I legitimately asked people for their opinion on the subject because I was unsure about it and I had certain taught biases that I hadn't learned to abandon yet.
it might amaze you to know that I once told a guy he'd make a great wife when he mentioned he liked cooking.
this was in 2012.
how cisheteronormative of me, right?
but you were all so woke in 2012, weren't you?
you never said anything that was not PC as a teenager.
you never told edgy jokes or said stupid offensive things.
you were born perfect, I'm sure.
it's not like I'm proud of the dumb stuff I said.
but I didn't start identifying as nonbinary until I was 18, and I didn't start identifying as trans until I was 21.
I was raised by an older mother, not a gen x er or a millennial, but a baby boomer, whose inherent biases still sometimes surface in me when I least expect it.
I was raised Catholic.
I had JUST STARTED PUBLIC SCHOOL, after spending literally 6 years in a fucking Catholic school.
I DIDNT UNDERSTAND transgender issues, nor did most people in 20 fucking 13.
how the fuck could I
my mom to this day doesn't know what the fuck nonbinary or trans are, and I identify as both.
how was I supposed to know?
I'd never even met anyone in the LGBT community at that point, nor had I realized I belonged there either.
I literally didn't even know I was pan at that point, or that I was nb/trans myself, or how I felt about most political topics.
that's why I ASKED.
and I said the wrong things. yeah, I did.
but no one had taught me the right words.
and in that post, no one bothered to explain it to me either.
I had to learn that over time.
and guess what?
I'm still not perfect now. I'm still going to make mistakes because times change, as they always do.
and all we can do is try and forgive people who are trying and doing their best, and remaining open minded to things they don't understand right from fucking birth.
but by all means, do search my history to your hearts content.
honestly, I kinda wanna see what dirt you find because this was an interesting look at the kinds of things I thought in 2013.
I can look back at myself and see how far I've come.
this post was interesting to read for me because it was wildly off mark, it misgendered trans women, and it lacked political, historical, and social understanding...
and so?
yeah?
it's offensive. it's bad.
and I didn't know any better.
but lol.
people learn things. people change their opinions.
if you people spend all your time digging up dirt and trying to cancel people for who they were, rather than who they are, or who they're trying to be... I have news for you.
your existence is pointless and your efforts are meaningless.
but I am flattered you did such a deep dive, anon.
please do find more and send them to me.
I'd like to know what other gotchas you can yank out of my ass.
I used to be on Facebook in 2011 before I deleted it in like 2013.
see if you can find anything there.
I used to write cringy poetry. it might be funny to read now.

Miracles are rare in the 21st century, but watch pretty much any episode of The Chosenand they are bountiful. But the biggest miracle of all is perhaps the fact that a historical drama centered around Jesus of Nazareth (a warm and welcoming Jonathan Roumie), set in 1st century Galilee as He preaches, gains followers (and enemies) and, on occasion, raises the dead and walks on water, has built a passionate legion of faithful viewers. How did a crowdfunded production become a heavenly international sensation?
The holy cards were stacked against The Chosen from the start. Faith-based television is historically hit-or-miss. The Academy Award-winning 1956 classic The Ten Commandments, which has aired on ABC nearly every Easter season since 1973, regularly reaps solid viewership (3.2 million when it last aired on April 1, 2023). But in terms of scripted TV, for every spiritual success (think Highway to Heaven and Touched by an Angel), there are just as many failures (anyone remember ABC drama Of Kings and Prophets or the Anne Heche sitcom Save Me?).
The Chosen’s accessibility—it’s been available to stream for free online at thechosen.tv since Season 1—didn’t hurt in making the show a hit, but it also drew in curious audience members with fresh takes on well-known biblical figures that never feel out of touch. Roumie effortlessly shepherds a comforting and gentle strength in his Jesus, whether He’s confidently preaching the Sermon on the Mount to thousands or graciously healing someone in private. And He’s unapologetically human. He laughs hard and pokes fun at His Apostles, shows His frustration with hardheaded religious leaders, joyously dances at a wedding in Cana and even frolics in the Sea of Galilee.
His 12 Apostles—the actual “chosen”—come with relatable baggage, broadening their flat Bible counterparts into colorful characters. Hotheaded fisherman Simon (Shahar Isaac) scrambles to provide for his wife, Eden (Lara Silva). Later, the young couple suffers a miscarriage and Simon blows up at Jesus for not protecting them. Outsider Matthew (Paras Patel)—who has been likened to being on the autism spectrum—is lonely and ostracized from his family. Nervous Andrew (Noah James) struggles with feelings of anxiety.
The show’s female cast also shines a light on women in a time period when they were often overlooked and underutilized. The iconic Mary Magdalene (Elizabeth Tabish) deals with shame from her past, thoughts of suicide and the loss of a parent. She bonds with the honest Tamar (Amber Shana Williams) over the latter. Jesus’ caring mother Mary (Vanessa Benavente) grapples with the idea that her adult Son—the Messiah—no longer needs her.
The Chosen so beautifully weaves its many perspectives together, often creating compelling duos, like awkward Matthew finding a surprising ally in gruffly sympathetic Roman centurion Gaius (Kirk B.R. Woller).
Finally, the show brings dimension to the New Testament’s most famous lines of Scripture, and the messages never come across as preachy. They’re edgy and nuanced, with fun bouts of humor and a deep sincerity and unwavering respect for the source material.
After 24 episodes (27 if you count the three Christmas specials), The Chosen has lifted the hearts of fans, who give thanks both through an overwhelming amount of online praise and the generous crowd-funding donations that continue to raise the drama’s production quality year after year (over $40 million has been collected so far). And given that the Christian megahit has been pitch-perfect since the original 2017 pilot, we have faith that the flourishing show will only continue to collect more and more loyal disciples on its righteous journey. Amen!

THE PRETTY RECKLESS Has 'Stepped Foot Into A Studio' To Begin Work On New Album
Tumblr media
In a new interview with Ronni Hunter of the 99.7 The Blitz radio station conducted at this past weekend's Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, THE PRETTY RECKLESS frontwoman Taylor Momsen confirmed that she and her bandmates have commenced work on the follow-up to 2021's "Death By Rock And Roll" album.
"We're in a great headspace," she said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). "We're just having fun with it, and wrapping up the tour cycle of 'Death By Rock And Roll', with the last few shows. We're going out with [the FOO FIGHTERS] in June, which I'm so stoked about. And then new record — and it's next chapter. We've already kind of started it… We've gotten into a studio; we've stepped foot into a studio. So that's saying something for us."
Regarding when fans can expect to hear new music from THE PRETTY RECKLESS, Taylor said: "I don't know how long it's gonna take. I have no dates for anyone or any more insight other than that. But we have walked into a studio and we are super, super excited."
Last November, THE PRETTY RECKLESS released a new collection of music, "Other Worlds", via Fearless Records. The effort saw the group delivering its first proper acoustic recordings, unexpected covers and other reimaginings.
"Death By Rock And Roll" was made available in February 2021 via Fearless Records in the U.S. and Century Media Records in the rest of the world.
Upon release, "Death By Rock And Roll" topped multiple sales charts — including Billboard's Top Albums, Rock, Hard Music, and Digital charts. The record also yielded three back-to-back No. 1 singles — "Death By Rock And Roll", "And So It Went" (featuring Tom Morello of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) and "Only Love Can Save Me Now" (featuring Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron of SOUNDGARDEN). The band has tallied seven No. 1 singles at the rock format throughout its career.
"Death By Rock And Roll" was THE PRETTY RECKLESS's first album to be made without longtime producer Kato Khandwala, who died in April 2018 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
THE PRETTY RECKLESS formed in 2009 and consists of Momsen, guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon and drummer Jamie Perkins.
In 2021, Momsen — who rose to fame portraying the character of edgy little sister Jenny Humphrey on The CW's "Gossip Girl" — described "Death By Rock And Roll" in an interview with ABC Audio as a "battle cry for life and for hope."
"I think that that's something that we can all use a little bit more of, especially right now," she said. "We could always use a little more hope, and we could always use a little more rock and roll."

You never know what is going to make you feel old and out of touch. Even more than my niece who is like a daughter to me having a son who is now like a grandson to me, fucking Jimmy Kimmel Live! made me feel ancient.
In my mind Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the terrible new upstart of night time talk shows; derivative, unoriginal, and nothing more than ABC trying to wedge itself into the game. The Tonight Show invented the format and kept it going since the 60's, then NBC spurned Letterman and he jumped ship to CBS, and perfected the format. Conan was the weird edgy 'alternative' version of the format. But Jimmy Kimmel was just a step backwards.
And yet... today is the 20th anniversary of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jimmy Kimmel has been doing a nighttime talk show on ABC LONGER than Conan was on NBC! He's been doing it longer than Jon Stewart was on The Daily Show! In two years he'll have done it LONGER than Leno was on the air at NBC!

✨️ If you get this, answer with ten random facts about yourself, and send it to the last 7 blogs in your notifications. Anonymously or not! Let's get to know the person behind the blog ✨️
Lol, thanks for tagging me, @arabianflowers!!!
Ok, let's see, I'm a pretty boring person, but let's go:
I am a huge mythology nerd, specifically Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Norse mythology. This makes me a huge fan of all the books Rick Riordan wrote, but if you asked me if I liked the PJ movies, I will throw hands over the utter terribleness of those films.
I only crush on fictional men, and I have learned that my type is ✨hot, badass guys with long-ish dark hair. Also, most of my crushes are old enough to be my dad, which is weird.
I cannot shape my eyebrows correctly even if my life were depending on it. And my two eyebrows will never be symmetrically plucked no matter how long I've spent on them. Maybe cuz I have super shaky hands. As in shaking when I'm writing math problems out. Nail art is impossible for me.
I cannot do eyeshadow properly. I either look like a glitter bomb exploded over my eyeballs or a racoon with eyeliner. You know that scene in CATWS where Bucky shoots Nick Fury and Steve runs after him, and there's that one shot of Bucky with smudged eyeliner/eyeshadow? That's me whenever I try eyeshadow.
I'm Asian, specifically Chinese, but I was born in America (I'm a total ABC), and both my parents were born in Hong Kong and left before China took over.
I'm pretty good at math. I did Kumon as a kid (if you're Asian, you'll know this), and I got an award for doing 11th grade math as a 5th grader even though I didn't understand half of what I was doing because Kumon doesn't explain whatever the fuck polynomial functions are, and I only understood it like several years later.
I'm the biggest procrastinator you'll ever meet, but it works for me. I once started an entire persuasive essay like five hours before the due date, and I still got a perfect score. I shouldn't be proud, yet here I am. Although I did recently learn leaving all assignments to do Friday night when they're due gives me stress acne, and I broke out yesterday.
I've never been diagnosed for it, but I think I have some form of social anxiety. Whenever I have to talk or meet people I don't know, I get really nervous and can't speak. Especially when I'm there to learn something I don't know, I get very self conscious cuz I always think I'm doing worse than everyone else. I'll be very awkward and quiet, but once I feel comfortable with you, I'm loud as fuck and you'll never have another moment of quiet with me.
I have a super dark, very edgy, and pretty shitty sense of humor that only I laugh at and worries most people. My humor probably makes me sound like a serial killer and offends 90% of people, so I've learned to stop making jokes.
I have issues. And one of them is that I think being dark and depressed makes me sound cool, but I can't help it.
There you go, 10 very random facts about me. I probably sounded like a psychopath after that, but yeah. Let me know what you think!

// Ok all the hot takes re ocean gate are getting to me, so, buckle up, this is a Rant. I’m a historian, and let me just say, these post make an excellent case for why studying actual real history, with nuance, and not whatever the current hot take designed to generate the most interest/attention/controversy, is. Clickbait “history” isn’t history, ya’ll. So, here’s some Titanic facts
1. The ship had lower class passengers too, because, contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t just a cruise ship for the top .01% of white society. (And even if it was, great to know that so many people think dying in a preventable tragedy is fine if you’re a rich white person.) 2. The ship was intended as a passenger liner that would bring folks from Europe to the U.S. Consequently, it had designated decks for different social groups. There weee super wealthy folks on the top deck, more middle class folks on the second, and the poor on the third, or steerage, deck. Most of the poor were immigrants coming to the U.S. to work. Btw, this is from ABC News. “About three times as many rich people sailing first class survived compared with poor people traveling in third class. Americans had a 15 percent higher survival rate than the British, Irish and the Swedes” 3. there actually were three people of color onboard the ship, too. From USA Today: “There was only one Black male passenger aboard the Titanic. Joseph Laroche was a Haitian-born, French-educated engineer. He was traveling to Haiti second class on the Titanic with his pregnant, French wife Juliette Lafargue and their two daughters. A biography of Laroche’s life describes him as an “anomaly” among the ship’s passengers. When the ship began to sink, Laroche placed his family on a lifeboat and stayed behind to help other women and children escape. Laroache did not survive, and his body was never found. Today his descendants live in Chicago.” So, presumably, the titanic was headed to Haiti, one assumes with the intent of acquiring more passengers, at least some of whom, presumably, would have been POC. 4. The type of discrimination laws like most Americans think of, the so called Jim Crow laws of the post reconstruction South, did not, shockingly, apply to the rest of the world, with some obvious exceptions, and the term Jim Crow originated in the north, in Massachusetts in regard to segregated rail travel. In fact, “Outside South Africa under the apartheid regime in the second half of the twentieth century, systematic racial segregation has been most closely associated with the Southern United States, from its introduction in the 1890s until it was gradually dismantled in the wake of the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s. ‘Jim Crow’, as it was known, actually emerged in the North in the 1840s, when the term was first used in Massachusetts to refer to the railroad cars reserved for black passengers. For a century or more, African Americans traveling to Europe often expressed their pleasure at being able—for a time at least—to mingle freely with others in public places.” 5. The primary barrier to people of color accessing the titanic was wealth and societal pressures/discrimination, not actual laws. 6. To bring it back to the Titan, one of the folks onboard is an actual teenager, and I happen to think kids, even filthy rich white kids, don’t deserve to die horribly. 7. Every single one of you making jokes about how “stupid” these people are is being ableist toward people with intellectual disabilities, so congrats on the rampant ableism.
Open a freaking history book, ya’ll and stop writing edgy hot takes about real people dying because you think it makes you sound cool.

pro-tip: if you get stabbed, make sure not to say anything that can be interpreted as badass, edgy, tragic or funny, because by the law of nature and all the tropes you cannot die from stabbing without some iconic last words. chant ABCs, sing belgian national anthem, talk about NFTs. voila, you're immortal. don't thank me.

THE PRETTY RECKLESS Perform At Orlando's EARTHDAY BIRTHDAY 2023

NBC's Passions and its supernatural shtick was a pretty big deal in the soap opera fandom at the turn of the millennium but the house I lived in as a 13-year-old was strictly an ABC soaps house, and what we had was a General Hospital spinoff called Port Charles
and what Port Charles had was Michael / Caleb Morley: a priest with a vampiric alter ego
