Instead of shutting up your inner critical voice, you listen to it and figure out what part of you is saying that and why, and then you address the root causes of those fears and insecurities For example, say you have the thought “ugh I look disgusting today” and telling that voice to shut up might make it just fire back with “I’m repulsive, I’m worthless, I should die” and get progressively more extreme and negative You can then address that Part and ask “who taught you that?” or “what are you afraid will happen if you like your body? Did someone hurt you for your body? Do you think if you hurt yourself first they won’t have reason to hurt you? Maybe you trying to hurt yourself is actually you wanting to protect yourself from a greater harm from someone else. Maybe you just want to be safe. That’s okay, you deserve to feel safe. And I have other ways to feel safe now besides self harm, I’ve learned new things to do. Let’s do those.” Then you’ve made that part feel addressed so it settles down and let’s you take care of it instead of getting louder and more defensive and agitated. So the voice in your head will stop being cruel and find healthier ways to address its fears. And of course, this is really a strategy for you to confront the fears beneath your self hatred and accept and work through them instead of trying to suppress them with more anger and self hatred at having those fears in the first place.

These prospects have received a boost following the graduation of 165 students at an academy operated by a leading technology company east of Johannesburg. The students from the Midrand Samsung Engineering Academy have graduated at the Ekhuruleni West College in Boksburg, joining the mission for Africa to be amongst the leaders of this next phase in the continent's growth. Nithia Pillay, Samsung Africa Director (Customer Service), said these graduates were part of Samsung's on-going vision to develop skilled electronics technicians and engineers by bridging the current skills gap. "Engineering academies across Africa have already seen thousands of students graduate with hands-on, practical skills at no cost, enabling them to move into jobs after they graduate," Pillay added. As-salaam Alaikoum WA-Rahmatullahi wa-Barakatou.

We thank allah for bringing us once again to the month of Rajab and with this one step closer to the blessed month of Ramadhan. With this we would like to appeal to the brothers to show their commitment towards the effort of feeding and providing necessities to those unable to do so for themselves in our community. This year we aim to reach more people than ever before.

A brief introduction is necessary. Our campaign is aimed at providing social welfare to the communities around us. We provide food baskets which contain groceries such as maize meal, rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, canned foods, washing powder etc. These items are provide to the people before the month of Ramdhan to help them in their effort to fast and break their fast with ease.

ALHAMDULILLAH in the previous year, we targeted the communities of Ekhuruleni Municipality Katlehong township, Rosettenville, Bertrams, Hillbrow and for the first time last year Soweto.With your support this year we intend to cover more areas in Soweto and reach more people within these communities.

For those who are with us for the first time we welcome you and are honored to work with you in fulfilling the rights of the ummah of prophet Muhammad[May peace be upon him]. With this being said we would like to appeal to brothers and sisters in the community to contribute to this effort. Any contribution is welcome, may it be in the form of:

· money

· donating groceries (non-perishables)

· volunteering and spending time to help us in the preparation and distribution of the food packages

· transport

· helping us spread the word to others and inviting them to contribute.

Once again we would like to thank all and appeal to them to get involved in this glorious campaign and to give back to our communities. This will help the fasters to break their fast adequately and relieve them from hunger. This act will help us one day in the hereafter and is looked upoin with pleasure from Allah and has many rewadrs for such selflessness.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with reckless and negligent driving after clocking in R210km/h in his white Ford Escort on Monday, the Ekhuruleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) said.
