I think that Eliza's defining character trait, in being one of my two Ventrue who act as knights for their respective Sects, is that she does everything selfishly for her family. She'll bleed for, kill for, or even die for the Camarilla and its professed goals if she has to if it means that her (human) descendants are in a world where they don't have to worry about the depravations of """true""" monsters. That being said, when I first drafted her as a "who I would play if I played as a Cammie" character I had the idea of her Embracing one of her great-grand daughters/touchstones as she's been acting as a guardian-angel of sorts for some time, and figures that the family could use another helping out. A bit of undead nepotism that narratively rivals that of the Giovanni pre-the-Giovanni-being-known-for-what-they're-known-for. I'm rather smitten with the idea that, since her Embrace in '79, she's been keeping a journal full to the brim with tales of her exploits, family history, Clan history, polaroids and the like of things that don't necessarily constitute as breaches of the masquerade and the like. It'd be a nice bit of horror, I think, on her descendant's part. A woman claiming to be your Great-Grandmother, one that you could swear you recognize from somewhere - even if you're not sure about the particulars, who your grandfather remarks abandoned him on his eighteenth birthday, shows up on your doorstep not looking a day over 30 years old. She knows everything about you, from the school you go to the small quirks you picked up from your mother, who she got from her father, and he -in turn- her. Her nose even crinkles in the same way his did when she smiles. She explains, in the vaguest of terms, that she's not only been stalking you from the day you were born but that she apparently has this plan for you -a dusty tome that looks double your age holding all of the details- that you can't know anything about unless you agree to go along with it This is a lot to drop on a college student at once. What's a girl to do?

writing is like "I'm imagining THEE scenario let me type it up" and then going to type it up but instead going "actually I dont wanna :/" and it's incredibly annoying

YES!!! IT’S EXACTLY THIS!!! i will spend so so long just watching it as a movie in my head & coming up with all these nuances and intense details, whole conversations of dialogue, and even actual sentences but the second i go to write then down they disappear.

i think this is how i end up with endless dozens of note pages bc i can go on forever about how my story will be written but i’ll be damned if i actually write it. it’s like i’m writing rhetorical essays on mere ideas.

but that doesn’t happen often anymore lol. now it’s mostly [i’m doing a kajillion other things and start thinking about my stories] and then i finally get around to opening a google doc and suddenly my 2 decade long dream of being a writer ceases to exist.

1.) What’s the lie your character says most often? Her name! She hasn't given out her real name to anyone she's met Post-Embrace.

19.) What would they do if stuck in a room with the person they’ve been avoiding? Grit her teeth and bear through it as visibly passive as she can manage, mostly. It's what she did with Chicago's (former) Malkavian Primogen at the very least.

25.) What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot? Gehenna, Caine, really just Noddism in general. Essentially her whole schtick lmao Throughout our first Chicago By Night Chronicle, she mostly just sort of existed as an SPC that our Malkavian knew as he'd enlisted her help with his attempt at booting up his own version of SchrekNET (which he's dubbing the Madness NETwork) but mostly out of direct view of the narrative's watchful eye. She was present for the two Elysium scenes, though I have plans to make her more useful in its sequel narrative, where a Lasombra led congregation of the Church of Caine'll be trying to set up shop somewhere in Chicago but the specifics of that haven't wholly been ironed out just yet :)

1.) What’s the lie your character says most often? That her faith in the Camarilla's necessity is unwavering. I don't think that it's something she's actively lying about, she certainly has convinced herself of its validity and far be it for her to have given it more thought than that, but if the Camarilla (or even the Ventrue Directorate) asked her to deal with her Kine descendants in any permanent way, it would unquestionably break her on a fundamental level. She wouldn't defect to the Anarchs or, Caine forbid, the Sabbat - but it would be a marked shift in her character.

25.) What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot? The specific, overly meticulous details of what member of her Blue Blood did what to who on a random Tuesday. A significant chunk of her time as a ghoul was spent learning the intricacies of her Bloodline specifically, of which there was little room for misremembering or misunderstanding. You could probably bludgeon someone with the notes she's taken over the years.

42.) If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be? Oh goodness - hmm.... I'm not entirely sure, to be honest... As much of a cop-out answer as it is, she'd probably give an impassioned and extensive list of reasons that the Camarilla is a vital and 'necessary' pillar of Kindred society. Title it, uh, The Camarilla: An Ivory Carved Pillar
