So yesterday I got a really good job offer and today I accepted, but they wanted me to started on Monday so I had to quit over phone because my boss is sick of Covid and we are working from home, but he (understandably) asked me for two weeks to finish my projects and because he is sick he can't see me to sign my resignation. So I had to call to the new place and ask for those weeks, and they told me it was alright but I was in panic and really stressed for 30 minutes.

And now I am stressed because I will have to refuse another job offer I had, where I would had started working on January because I asked them I wanted to finish my current job at the end of the year, but they will call me an hypocrite because I accepted this new job offer before ending the year.

And if it weren't that complicated already, on October the school I teach on the evenings called me because they wanted to offer me a full time job in administration, but told me they had to wait for HR to give the "green light" but would call me "in two weeks". It has been almost 8 weeks and no word of it, but I am afraid they will call me when I start the new job and will have a better offer and will have to say goodbye to this new one.

And if it weren't already too bad, in all the job offers I am being recommended by three different people, and the first two made the offers directly because they trusted the recommendations.

This past 3 months have been really stressful, I am telling you.

I took an extra (small) shift with my in-home care job. I was nervous because I didn't know what I was walking into or the type of person I was getting, but it ended up being a really chill guy in his fifties that has MS.

He was a punk rocker when he was younger, leans left, and hates Trump. I cooked him dinner and we chatted a lot before he offered me weed and then went on to talk about how I need to get in touch with a OVR to get help with paying for college. He even gave me a really sweet pep talk.

Old punks are great.
