[Garish au]
Asking Dolores seemed like a good choice to begin with. Maybe Isabela could get some information. Her cousin was aware of everything, far more than people tend to think of. However, as she spotted her cousin, the line was already closed. Mirabel stood nearby and, in a not really quiet voice, asked. "Have you heard anything strange yesterday?"
Isabela winced. Could Mirabel know what happened yesterday? It would be perfect. In a split second, she ran to Mirabel past their Tío Felix and real Dolores. "Hey, sis. I heard you were wondering about the cracks" Mirabel's eyes widened, she stepped back, looking away.
Just as Isabela was about to get through with her answers, a low-pitched voice announced that the table was out. Just great. Luisa surely loved breaking the perfect moments. Now she had to wait until the end of the dinner.
Isabela smirked at Dolores' loving eyes at the mention of Mariano. Her cousin was such a romantic. Not like Isabela could blame her, she hoped to marry some beautiful girl one day. Maybe she could blabber about plants to her? It would be perfect!
Catching up with Mirabel was easier than anything First of all she was short. And Isabela had vines on her side.
Mirabel rolled her eyes, getting out of the greenery that had surrounded her at the snap of a finger. "Isa, maybe you should do something else?" She paced faster, trying to get away to no avail.
"Hey, Mirabel, could you fix my blouse?"
The girl nodded, taking a packet from Osma's hands. This repeated several times.
Isabela groaned, her little sister was so annoying sometimes. "Just tell me what do you know? You asked Dolores about it."
Mirabel, who desperately tried to get away, just to be stopped by a wall of flowers in front of her muttered. "I just wanted to make sure…"
Isabela's eyes narrowed, she stepped closer. "What exactly, sis?"
Mirabel blinked, fixing her glasses. "I'm sure it's nothing. I just saw something. It was probably just my imagination." she didn't sound too convinced by her own nervous words.
"I'm sure it's fine," Isabela waved her hand. The cracks were worrying, but it didn't make her feel too bad. She just needed to know what happened.
Mirabel sighed, giving an awkward chuckle. "It's not like Casita would break."
"YES!" Isabela jumped in excitement, flowers sprouted on the ground around her. "I saw them too!" There was at least one person who knew that Casita was breaking yesterday.
"I- I don't get what you're talking about…" Mirabel gasped, stepping back in horror. Her face got paler in worry. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do anything bad!"
Isabela froze at the last sentence. She didn't think about this possibility at all. If anything, Mirabel had nothing to do with the miracle. "Why would you think that I could blame you?" She lowered her gaze, staring in confusion.
The words left Mirabel's mouth before she could even proceed them. "Mama had left because of me."
She wasn't serious… Was she?
"Julieta had left because she's selfish irresponsible parent." Isabela scoffed, crossing her arms. Nobody said anything in a while.
"I really should get back to work.."
Isabel groaned. Why was it always about a job? "Today's an official day off after the ceremony."
"Well, I got to make up for the lack of a gift," Mirabel whispered, rechecking all the work that she had been given already. "Maybe somebody will say that I'm doing a good job then.."
Oh, poor child.
"I think you need a break," Isabela awkwardly patted her spine.
Mirabel shook her head. "I can get through it." She was about to go away, before looking to the sides all of a sudden. "I heard Abuela once." Isabela was startled, her eyes widened in surprise. "She said something about a vision with our Mama and Casita's destruction." Isabela froze for a good minute, trying to understand all this information. Vision? What had Tio Bruno seen? Probably not much, but still. "If you want to fund anything, our parents' room could be a good place to start."

Bruno showimg off his latest novella to his sisters and their husbands.
Bruno: The lead is betrayed by his best friends! They're his best friends and then they go and marry his sisters! Now he can understand his clumsy friend marrying the oldest sister, he would literally die without her. But the other one?! His other sister has anger issues! What's a poor man to do?

Augustin and Felix are slowly realizing the novella is about them.
Augustin: Uh Bruno?
Bruno, being dramatic and extra lets his eyes glow green: HE MARRIES HIS BEST FRIEND'S SISTER!
Felix, the one with a sister: Wait what?
Osma, pops up out of no where: Bruno and I are engaged.

Someone asked me how Julieta ended up with Augustin in the Seer Julieta AU since she's deemed the "creepy" triplet there.
Well to be honest I don't think Augustin really cares about reputation and all that. I mean man stood up to Alma and told her he put his daughters before some miracle he really couldn't care less about. Also canonically he was Alma's last choice for Julieta's spouce and didn't approve of him. Probably because he made Julieta more outspoken against Alma. But to me they meet pretty much the same way in any universe.
Augustin, and Felix, were friends with Bruno first.
Growing up they were around each other in a way that was that's my best friend's sister/that's my brother's best friend. So like acquaintances through Bruno.
Julieta was hidden from the town more and more as people began to think of her visions as a curse and that she controlled the future. (The one exception being Osma but she asked for a fish dying prophecy at 7 years old, and has a crush on Bruno. So according to Pepa she's not normal enough to count.) A consequence of this is that Julieta's siblings saw less of her, which Bruno complained about to his friends.
"I swear Mama never lets Julieta out of Casita anymore!" 17 yr old Bruno ranted one day as Augustin and Felix were helping him bring the left overs back to Casita. Bruno heightens the pitch of his voice in a bad impression of Alma. "Julieta we need to help the village! Not scare them! Julieta por favor, don't share the visions if it will upset the town."
"Don't they go to Julieta directly if they want a prophecy? Like keeping her in Casita doesn't really make a difference?" Felix interrupted.
"Yes!" Bruno nearly shouted.
Meanwhile Augustin is kind of having the realization he hasn't physically seen the oldest Madrigal triplet in a few years. He always thought she was nice, maybe a bit reserved, but he couldn't blame her for that. He remembers when Alma was teaching her children to dance and used him and Felix as partners for her daughters. Augustin remembers Julieta moved gracefully like water. He remembers thinking she was pretty.
"That's not fair to Julieta. She just sees the future right? She doesn't have any control over it?" Augustin asked his friend.
Bruno snorted. "If Julieta could actually control the future a lot more our triplet brawls would have been won in her favor."
The boys walked in on the beginning of a said triplet brawl. Pepa using her height in advantage to try to pin Julieta to the floor. A cloud of thunder above her head. Julieta had a tight grip on Pepa's braid, her own dark curls had fallen out of her bun, drenched from Pepa's cloud, and her shall knocked to the floor.
Bruno took one look at his sisters, and turned to his friends to say, "Please leave out three arepas on the table."
"Four arepas!" Julieta yelled in the most commanding tone Felix or Augustin had ever heard from her. Right before she goes to bite Pepa.
Bruno paused and then nodded. "Four then." Then Bruno swan dived into the fight.
Turns out the fourth arepa was for Augustin who got hit by a stray bolt of lightning when he went to gather Julieta's shall from the floor.
Bruno asked her how she knew. Julieta shrugged. "Not all my visions need my cave, or come out on a tablet. Small things that aren't too far off I can glance for."
It gave Bruno an idea.
Augustin being the accident prone man that he is never really thinks to ask for help with healing. Even if he needs it more than anyone else in the village. Usually Bruno and or Felix have to hunt him down to give him food.
Bruno hands Julieta some extra food. "Can you keep an eye on Augustin? Your sight is probably better for keeping track of him and his numerous injuries."
Julieta does just that, I mean she has nothing really better to do besides gather herbs for her brother's recipes. Julieta would glance in the morning each day to find out where and when Augustin would need her to bring the food.
Julieta found Augustin by the river near the border of the Encanto. Her mama would freak out if she knew Julieta was here.
Julieta paused. The magic felt strong, almost as if Julieta was standing next to the candle itself.
Julieta looked around.
"Aye Augustin," Julieta sighed seeing his numerous injuries, one of them being a concussion. Augustin barley knew what was going on around him. If Julieta didn't know better she would think he was drunk. She shoved the food into his mouth. "Eat."
Augustin would smile, his mind not all the way there. "Thank you Julieta. Eres una buena chica."
Julieta's face would flush.
"You don't deserve to be treated the way Alma treats you. Shouldn't be hidden away."
Julieta was stunned. No one said that to her before.
Augustin laughed, Bruno's food still going through his system. "Let's dance."
Julieta squeaked as Augustin dragged her to the tune of a music only he could hear. Gracefully, the only time Augustin is graceful, they danced in the woods.
Julieta giggled. She hasn't had this much fun in years.
Their dance took them closer to the river.
You should have a good future, Julieta thought to herself. By request of Bruno, who didn't want Julieta to scare off his friends, Julieta never did a full on prophecy for Augustin or Felix's future.
They stepped into the river, Julieta's powers activated. Augustin watched in his dazed state.
Water swirled up around the two as Julieta's eyes turned blue. She saw them dancing, and then a wedding. Another image was forming, and Julieta felt her face flushing again.
A blue tablet dropped into Julieta's hands. She hugged it to her chest.
By this point Bruno's food had finished healing Augustin. "Wow Julieta, es muy bonita. That was stunning. Is that how you see your visions?"
Julieta nodded, holding the tablet even closer.
Later that night in the safety of her own room Julieta would pull out the tablet. The focus is her and Augustin. Julieta looks to be sitting in bed, a bundle of blanket in her arms, and two other little girls sit on either side of her.
Maybe, maybe Julieta deserved a good future too.

You fuckers got me actually shipping Bruno and the Fish Lady. (Who is apparently named Senora Osma Pezmureto.)
I just know these two are exs. I just know it. They give off lovers to enemies (to back to lovers)
Personally in this scenario I like to imagine that the fish dying prophcey happened close to Mirabel's fifth birthday. Bruno was already tense because of all the preparations that have to go into a gift ceremony. So to destress or something he looks to future of his love.
Enter dead fish prophecy.
Osma finds out and she's not angry but she is somewhat freaked out. Despite it being only her fish this is the first time Bruno has seen a death. That means Bruno can see anyone die. It's a hard pill to swallow, especially when majority of the village believes Bruno causes the future to happen.
Bruno, who is as equally freaked out, tries to reassure her that it was probably way later down the line. Osma agrees but the seriousness of a prophecy that could predict a death distracts her and she forgot to feed her fish.
The next day the fish is dead.
Both are even more freaked out by this, and maybe they have a fight. They don't break up but Osma insists to wait until after Mirabel's gift ceremony so Bruno wasn't as tense. Bruno's insecurities are starting to hit and he thinks Osma is just trying to be nice before dumping him.
The ceremony is a disaster and Bruno disappears.
Osma is hearbroken and in that heartbreak she fixates on the dead fish. Is she actually angry about the fish and the prophecy? No, maybe a little uncomfortable that a man she loves could easily predict her own death if he looked hard enough, but honestly anyone would. What Osma was really angry at was how their relationship ended, and for the past 10 years she has had unanswered questions.
(This idea gets even better when you add the headcannon that Osma is Felix's unnamed sister who lives in the village.)

A drabble for my officially dubbed Seer Julieta au. First post here
I'll probably post mire of these as I think of them.
During the time it takes for Casita to be rebuilt the Madrigals are housed by different villagers. Osma Pezmureto was only supposed to be housing Augustin and Julieta but there hasn't been one night where Julieta didn't have at least one daughter glued to her. Then during the day Bruno and Pepa were the ones fighting for the attention of their hermana.
Honestly it was very overwhelming after isolating herself for 10 years.
This is how Julieta had ended up quietly going back to Osma's house, claiming she felt tired to Augustin.
"Oh! Julieta!" Osma jumped in her seat, knees banging against the table, and a few green hair beads rolled off the tabel. Osma's face flushed as she scrambled to collect the beads. "I didn't think you would be back yet."
Julieta picked up a spare bead that fell on the floor. "Don't get up on my account. It just gets a little suffocating being thrown back among so many people at once. Besides for whatever reason Bruno and Pepa won't come in here."
Julieta didn't see Osma wince.
Julieta sits down across from Osma. She twirls on of the beads between her fingers. "Honestly I'm more surprised to find you still living here."
Osma furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?"
Julieta holds up one of the beads. "These hair beads were Bruno's first courting gift to you. I remember Felix helping him make them. I honestly thought you two would have been married by now."
Osma smiles down sadly at the beads, her face flushed. "So thats why he was going to give me these."
Julieta scrunched her brows. "Osma?"
Osma shook her head. "Bruno and I haven't talked in a long time."
Julieta narrowed her eyes. "What did Brunito do?"
Osma drppped the beads again. "No, no, no! It was my fault. It was probably about a year after you left. Bruno had taken on as an acting second parent to the girls."
"Yes, and I'm grateful for that." Julieta glanced to the side. She truly was grateful that her brother was there for her family when she couldn't and as she told Mirabel she would do it all over again. But sometimes when the girls looked surprised to see Julieta walking with Augustin instead of their Tio, or when Julieta offers to do something motherly and then they awkwardly stare. Of course they wouldn't want it from their creepy-
Osma covered Julieta's hand with her own.
No, they love you and you love them. Julieta thought to herself. It's just gonna take time. You've only been openly around them for a week. Things will get better.
Julieta smiled. "Go on Osma."
Osma saueezed Julieta's hand. "Mirabel kept asking about you. She wanted to know anything and everything about you, but-"
"We don't talk about Julieta." Both woman said.
Osma nodded. "Si. It was Mirabel's sixth birthday and one of the things she really wanted was her mama. So I told her a story."
Julieta let out a small gasp. "Osma you didn't."
Osma bit her lip. "I did."
Julieta busted out laughing. "You told Mirabel about the dead fish prophecy!?
Osma started laughing too. "I thought it would make her smile."
"Did you tell her we were kids and that you hated that fish?"
Osma grinned. "Yup, told her I met her mama when I went up to her demanding to know how to kill my fish. Because deapite my last name I can't stand fish."
Julieta wiped a tear.
Osma's smile dropped. "Bruno overheard me. He wasn't too happy, thought I was like some of the other villagers who thought the worst of you. We got into a big fight over it. After we never spoke to each other again."
Julieta sighed, "You always had a temper, and Brunito always got a little stupid around you."
Osma shrugged, there was not much she could say.
Julieta thought back to an old tablet, one that showed a couple in love. Both dressdd in green. She had beads in her hair and he wore a ruana. Julieta picked up a bead.
"I believe in second chances, that someone can learn from their mistakes. Osma do you want to change your hair beads?"
Julieta smirked as Bruno dropped the tool he was holding for the thousandth time. She has made sure to stay near Osma today. The green beads shimmered in her hair when the light hit them just right.
The rats don't have to worry. They'll see their mama again soon.
