The preview for Season 2, Episode 88 of ENNEAD by Mojito is up in Korean!
Tumblr media
There are a lot of ways to read the Korean, which I've listed here. If you'd like episode previews, Witchcomics, one of the official Korean publishers, typically puts out episode previews on their twitter within around 24-48 hours prior to new episode releases. Often it's actually closer to release, within a few hours. This week is strangely early, but it might be because of the Japanese release of volumes 1-2 and/or the return of the English translation. Or no particular reason at all and Seoul Comics is just being random. May it continue to be early, because that would be awesome!
Season 2, Episode 88 should be up in Korean on April 29th, around 22:00 KST! Season 2, Episode 89 should be up in Korean on May 9th, around 22:00 KST!
The English translation of ENNEAD is 8 episodes behind the Korean and is currently on hiatus, but will return with Season 2, Episode 80 on 30 April 2024, around 00:00 ET (mature/uncensored version and censored version)! Here's a guide for using Tappytoon and unlocking episodes for free!
In case you missed it, other stuff in the fandom recently:
ENNEAD volumes 1-2 are available as a physical release in English! Volumes 3-4 are also available for pre-order, though volume 4 isn't listed on Seven Seas' site yet (it's available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and should be up elsewhere soon!).
ENNEAD volumes 1-3 are available as a physical release in Italian!
ENNEAD volume 1 is now available as a physical release in German! Volume 2 will release 21 May 2024.
ENNEAD volumes 1-2 are available as a physical release in Japanese! Volumes 3-6 have listings, and while volume 3 will release on 20 May 2024, and volume 4 will release on 19 June 2024, volumes 5-6 do not yet have release dates. There is also now an official Japanese ENNEAD twitter for announcements about distribution, publishing, and merchandise.
ACO's audio drama adaptation of season 1 is fully available to purchase digitally episode by episode. You need to buy the whole thing to get the soundtrack.
The Goodsbee x ENNEAD goods collaboration crowdfunding campaign is ongoing, and is currently over 1211% funded! It seems the site itself is limited to folks with Korean addresses and payments, but there are international proxies accepting orders, including Harumio, Koonbooks, and Nemo.IT. Other potential proxies include: onniskr (international), 123_letsgopre (Thailand), and asiagou (China, Taiwan, Japan, other)
The Gratte x ENNEAD Japanese cafe collaboration is ongoing in Japan from 8 April 2024 - 26 May 2024

Ennead is back, and so is Egypt’s prettiest trash ibis, Thoth.
If you’ve spent any time around ibises, you know what I’m talking about.

Who do you think FG (Foreign God) from Ennead is? Like, he kinda resembles Jesus...or is he supposed to be him...? Idk
What do you think?
I have this same doubt. He has this similarity. For me, he is a character that makes me uncomfortable for this reason.

So your posts about Ennead— wanted to say I’m 99% sure fg is Ares as a classics major, providing the occupation of war god, the greaves on his legs (usual iconography), his chiton/alternative himation, and the raggedy/bearded appearance not only commonly associated with manliness in Greece but common iconography for Ares in the late Hellenistic and Roman era (he is usually clean shaven in classical/early Hellenistic eras) when the Egyptian/Greek cultural mingling were at its peak of all time.
Yeeee,
I think now especially since we've been hearing more of him in his own words and shit, it's pretty much confirmed.
The only other god I can see being that pissy with Zeus would be Hephaestus, however, this guy is not horrifically ugly so.... yea, Ares is the definite answer at this point I also believe.
I think especially the whole, "I used to be a good son" type deal works with it really well as well.
On the grounds of it being Hermes due to his thievery and excellence in miscommunication, uhhh maybe??
If it's talked on whether he's packing that Thang on him we'll find out pretty quickly
Hermes > Ares (in that context)

FG anon here! I hadn’t thought of him potentially being Ares! I didn’t get that vibe from him. I could never figure out which “pantheon” or which myth he’s from. But yeah I feel like whatever his intentions for Seth, I think he needs some resource relating to war— whether it’s for the sake of his homeland or for himself.
Also I didn’t know the fandom didn’t like him haha. He’s one of my favorite characters. This fandom is so tiny, I have actually heard nearly nothing about him positive or negative 💀 or maybe I’m on the wrong platform for Ennead fandom?
Hallo again! (this got long so putting it under a read more)
Yeah I still lean towards Apollo because of the golden eye thing. It's just strange to me that both Ra and FG are like the only two known god characters with golden eyes, and Ra is a sun god (so maybe FG is a sun god, too, hence, Apollo, plus the medicine thing, and his focus on getting laid). But most of his actions, particularly leading an army, make sense for him to be Ares. His personality otherwise matches Apollo. But also why would Apollo be leading an army, or be ready to declare war? Ares is the god of war. It also makes sense that a god of war would focus on how "weak" another god of war is, and the way he talks about Egypt as a weak country and sizing up their gods for their abilities kind of matches someone with a martial background. So he could be Ares! He could be Apollo! He could be neither of them!
I'm glad he's one of your favorites! FG is a very fun character! I find his relationship with Seth entertaining and engaging, and I'm curious about what power Maat is going to grant him. I also feel like he's going to be involved somehow in the final battle with Osiris, and I'm curious how that'll play out. But also, there are plenty of FG fans, FGSeth fans, and fans of him with other characters! Tumblr is generally a dead place for this fandom, though it's more active than like... deviantart, pillowfort, and kind of Blue Sky Social. There's a lot of really lovely fanworks of him, though not as much fic on places like here or Archive of Our Own. International fandom is still most active on twitter, so you're going to see way more stuff with him and other characters (along with the vitriol, unfortunately) there. The second best place to go for stuff with him is probably pixiv. Then maybe instagram. There were some active folks on tiktok for him but I avoid tiktok for this fandom cause it's mostly art theft and bad edits.
Some artists I'd recommend to follow for works with him:
おぜ | oze__0 (twitter) (pixiv)
GSY_DM (twitter)
くろいうさぎ | emm_usagi (twitter)
ぽん𓃩2/3大阪オンリーC19 | pondiru_3 (twitter) (pixiv)
ヒユウ | hi_you_2 (twitter) (poipiku)
kumorkumo (twitter) (pixiv)
leejun35 (twitter) (instagram)
いと | knito110 (twitter) (pixiv)
りょう | wwvsand (twitter)
nab𓃩ナブ | nab_003 (twitter) (pixiv)
ginger_ennead (twitter) (they're sort of focusing on a different fandom right now, but if you browse back through their stuff, they made a lot of lovely FGSeth comics)
ナツメ (pixiv)
りょう (pixiv)
hako_enad (twitter)
よみの | yominofox (twitter)
おかや | okaya_enad (twitter)
And there's way more of that. FG fanartists are some of the most dedicated in the fandom, and produce a lot of the fanworks. If you're browsing, I would look under these tags on different sites: FGSeth (English), FG/Seth, FGxSeth, FG x Seth / 이국세트 (Korean = Exotic Set) / 髭セト (Japanese = mustache Set). Also a lot of multishippers do lovely art of him, so just look around if you're interested!
And to be fair, every character in the fandom is hated by somebody lol There are people who hate Horus (he's the main reason the Seth x happiness "ship" exists, because people don't even want him to end up with Horus for a dozen reasons), and there are plenty of people who hate Seth. FG is probably about on par with being hated as Isis? But I don't recall any situation where people sent their hate about Isis to Mojito, which people have done with FG. It kind of fluctuates. But yeah, top hated characters in the fandom are probably... any of the mob characters (including Kuentamen, Fenu, the older enslaved person Seth helped escape), Osiris/Isis/FG/Nephthys, I think Hathor and then Horus and Anubis, then Seth. The awful side of fandom kind of rotates on its "villain of the week" vitriol. When FG was in the spotlight, it was FG, and there were harassment campaigns against FG fanartists, doxxing, one person was stealing artwork and redrawing it as Horuseth, another person was editing FG into Horus from comic panels and spamming Mojito about them, but they did it a little with Osiris and Anubis as well. But when FG went away and Anubis came back, it was sort of Anubis, and then when the spotlight went back onto Horus, it was Horus. Now it's kind of back to FG cause he's back again and Horus is leaving Seth to go to Heliopolis while Seth and FG go to Khemenu/Hermopolis. I imagine when Osiris comes back for more than flashbacks, it'll be Osiris again. Who knows? People have too much time on their hands.
But who cares? Mojito loves all her characters, and has repeatedly said so. That thread I posted in the last ask was about her expressing her love, and she's talked about a planned FGSeth extra after the story is over. And here's some nice art by her of him with Horus, Seth, and the camel on the hiatus announcement.

Do you have any theories on the Foreign God’s deal in Ennead?
I'm not sure what you mean by deal exactly? If you mean FG's contract with Maat, we know a bit about it.
In S02E49, FG states that he came to help Isis fight Seth because he heard that Egypt was a powerful nation. Maat explains this is not the case: the desert is the only thing keeping out foreign invaders. FG is intrigued by this, and considers the situation a "gold mine". Maat says, "You have your own destiny, don't you?" FG is aware of this, and surprised Maat is. Maat then offers to make FG, "the one who carries irrefutable fate, an offer. If you cancel your contract with Isis and retreat, I will guide you toward the path of your heart's desire." (S02E49). She says that FG has to go to the moon temple (Thoth's temple), and deliver a scroll she gives FG to the high priest there.
Maat notes that FG wants power and influence, and "wants to be recognized as a strong male through force." (S02E09). Maat promises "to tell him how to gain power", which is seemingly that offer she gives him (S02E09).
When Seth informs FG that the moon god is Thoth, FG gets distracted by the idea of Thoth being an attractive goddess. But getting back to the temple (with Seth in tow and safe from FG's rivals) is his primary goal.
Back in September 2023, Mojito (manhwa author) talked a bit about FG (the context being readers complaining about FG's existence in various ways).
Tumblr media
Mojito said that FG was not originally allowed to intervene in Egypt's affairs. FG gets around this by pretending to be a part of the caravan, particularly so he can get closer to Seth. Mojito also notes that FG has done a lot for Seth. We know from the trial that he was at least in lust with Seth, and seemingly wanted to sleep with him or something. Assuming he's Greek or Roman, that kind of fits a lot of them: being led by their libido.
But if you mean like... generally what his goals are outside the contract...
As FG gets closer to Seth, he seemingly gets more curious about Seth as a person, or at least as a war god... but he still just really wants to fuck Seth (e.g., S02E48). Like that is the end goal, and most everything he does is in pursuit of that goal. He thinks of Seth as a sleeping buddy to be owned. Regardless of whether buying Seth as a slave was just a ploy given the circumstances (S02E77), FG truly thinks he can buy his way into Seth's affections or at least into keeping Seth as his forever.
FG is rich: he buys Seth, still has enough funds to start a war as he pleases, and seemingly runs an entire caravan of his own (S02E47-49).
Seth is also the apparently first "one" (conquest/partner, who knows) FG has gone to such lengths for (S02E46). What that means exactly when it comes to his motivations, whether he's just really horny or somewhat emotional about it, who knows? He seems to genuinely enjoy being around Seth and listening to Seth planning. I think he also enjoys how gullible Seth is when Seth is weak and truly out of his depth. He seems to find Seth generally intriguing. He does seem varyingly worried about Seth when Seth is injured. Whether this is because he genuinely cares for Seth on some level or doesn't like damage to his property, who knows? He's also territorial, and doesn't like Horus trying to make moves on Seth (S02E77).
FG is physically strong. The outcome of his battle with Anubis is unclear (other than both participants survived), but he didn't seem too badly injured. He hasn't been badly injured by just about any of Horus' attacks. Relatively speaking though, his opponents thus far have been two demigods and a new, brainwashed god, so it's hard to tell exactly how strong he is. His eyes, which are usually brown, turn gold at certain points, maybe when he's using his power. He most often shows his power when people stand up to him/potentially endanger something he cares about (e.g., Seth after FG buys him, Horus' bird spy, Anubis attacking Seth).
He seemingly wanted to take some of Isis' medicine back to his homeland for some reason (S02E46). Maybe to study it or use it on someone there.
He's playful and does a lot by not saying things or telling half-truths, but he can also just outright lie about things (e.g., when he explained why he didn't want Seth to go back to Heliopolis, because FG didn't want to be attacked for stealing the medicine). Despite his laid back personality, he's curious and also ambitious and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He's cocky, too, and has a low opinion of most of the gods he's met in Egypt (they're the same, so it's not abnormal).
He's relatively kinky. He likes biting, body worship, spanking, and teasing.
As for which god he is, I assume he's either Greek or Roman, given his god outfit and the ships his army came in on. I kind of bounce between Apollo or Ares (personality and ability-wise; Apollo is a god of medicine and a sun god, which matches his gold eyes, which Ra also has; Ares is a god of war, and that seems to match FG's outfit and ability set), but Zeus is an idea, too (when Isis uses lightning, FG is very interested in it, and Zeus is known to seek out conquests in disguise). And whichever of those he might be, all could change what his "destiny" is. If he's Apollo (or Ares), maybe he wants more power and influence back home. If he's Ares, maybe he needs more help winning a war. If he's Zeus, maybe he wants help beating the titans. It's really unclear.
Narratively speaking, he's one of the four designated tops for Seth in the story (alongside Horus, Osiris, and Anubis) based on Mojito's pillars story construction. He's not the designated endgame love interest, though (that's Horus). My assumption is we'll learn his name as he heads back to wherever he came from. He's also one of the main reasons Seth is trying to fix Egypt (e.g., he was a big part of Seth being able to destroy much of the caravan initially, and his presence as a potential enemy for Egypt is giving Seth a desire to return to his duties as god of war to protect Egypt), and I find that neat, because I like Seth having goals other than self-destruction, particularly given Seth isn't defining himself by Osiris in the doing. He's also a big reminder for Seth why going it alone isn't a good idea, because Seth currently lacks strength.
He's got a lot of facets to him. Right now, his primary goals are: fulfill his contract with Maat, potentially as it relates to his "destiny", whatever that is, and get more power to accomplish that destiny, and keep Seth as his own. He generally takes things as they come, though. So long as he gets Seth in the end, I don't think he cares about much else.

ENNEAD tags and finding fanworks and community
Tumblr media
If you're looking for fanworks and discussion for ENNEAD by Mojito, the boy's love manhwa about ancient Egyptian gods, here's a collection of things to try on different platforms:
ENNEAD (English) / Ennead (sometimes lowercasing part of it returns different things) / 엔네아드 (Korean) / 九柱神 (Chinese) / エネアド (Japanese) / Эннеада (Russian) / เอนเนด (Thai)
(Japanese)
The main ENNEAD tags (just the series name) are all the most populous for stuff, regardless of platform, particularly the English and Japanese. Horuseth is the next most populous.
As a caveat, exploring these tags and communities assumes you are either up to date with the latest episode in Korean or don't care about spoilers. Fans will sometimes spoiler block panels, meta, or fanworks for the latest episode, but usually nothing older than that, and communities are increasingly flooded with panels from the new episode on the day of the update as the community grows bigger. Your best bet if you don't want to be spoiled because you're reading a version that's behind the Korean (e.g., the English, which is three episodes behind) is to mute the number for the latest Korean episode while browsing. If you'd like to read the Korean, I made a carrd and a Tumblr post to help. If you'd like to share panel screengrabs/screencaps/captures from the comic on socials, please either stick to the previews shared by Witchcomics on their twitter, or 1-2 panels max, at Mojito's request.
In terms of socials, there are active fan communities basically everywhere!
At the moment, twitter is by far the most populous for anything ENNEAD, cross-language, including fanart, sharing fics in a number of languages (or at least links to them, if not also twitter fics), discussion, meta, and cosplay. If you'd like good twitters to follow:
RT ENNEAD is a good general trawler of all things ENNEAD. They do all ships and characters and usually update 2-3 times a day, minimum
Papyrus Studio/Studio Papyrus is a group of artists who create fanworks for ENNEAD, including phone calendars, and regularly run fandom events
HoruSeth365/365_with_HS, another fangoods collaboration
Mojito is also on twitter and posts things sporadically
Witchcomics, one of the official Korean chapter posters, regularly promotes ENNEAD and raffles for merch. They also post previews for new episodes some hours before the episodes go up.
ENNEAD Japan is an official twitter run by b-boy, who manage the Japanese license for ENNEAD. They use the twitter to announce distribution (webcomic updates), publication (physical book updates), and merchandise.
Following that, pixiv is a very populous site for fanworks, including fanfics. Pixiv is free to use, very accessible if you read English (or obviously Japanese since it's a Japanese art site) but easier to use if you have an account (though you don't have to pay for it, and you don't have to post anything). A lot of twitter artists have been mass dumping all their art on pixiv lately, or near-simultaneously publishing there, so if you hate twitter, pixiv is the place to go.
Archive Of Our Own has a pretty active fanfic archive for the community across many languages, with English and Mandarin Chinese dominating (followed by Spanish).
Instagram is the next most populous site for fanworks, mostly just fanart and cosplay, though it's pretty heavily censored, so people just mention their work is on twitter or somewhere else. Also be wary, Insta is full of art reposters and folks sharing scanlations.
Outside of Tumblr, Deviantart has a small community of folks updating art, and is also a good archive for easily browsing old art. Tumblr also has a lovely archive of art if you want to browse, and a number of folks came over here recently.
If you'd like a Discord, many are locked or dead, but I have an adult Discord open if folks would like to join, where I try to do regular news and event updates on different platforms, as well as share links to fanworks and resources on different platforms, and people talk about characters, ships, theories, and fanworks!
(if the link is down, reply and/or DM me and I'll send you/post a new one!)
There is also a very small pillowfort community.
I would not recommend using sites like Pinterest, as it's almost entirely stolen and reposted art, without credit. A few artists actually post their art directly there, but by and large, it's the worst place for art theft. Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube are also full of art theft. There is a subreddit, enneadmanhwa, which is very quiet.
However, there are a couple of YouTube accounts I'd recommend:
Mojito has a YouTube account, where Mojito rarely posts videos.
Papyrus Studio/Studio Papyrus has made collaborative AMVs for the series.
There are fics on Wattpad, but most of them use stolen fanart, or include scanlations. There's a lot there if you want to check them out, just be wary, and please support actual artists, not reposters. There is also a collection of Thai fanfics on readawrite (but again be wary as a lot of them also use stolen fanart).
For information on characters, side comics, physical releases, locations, etc., the ENNEAD fanwiki on FANDOM exists, though it's still under heavy construction. I also have a tumblr post about side comics and extra art by Mojito.
I will update this post as I find more tags and sites.

hey hey so glad to have found you on tumblr. it was a bit hard for me to find content creators for ennead on this site, oddly enough
i saw some of your ask me prompts and i was wondering if you could do 4 and 10?
Hello!! And welcome :3 Thank you for the ask!! And yeah, tumblr is very quiet for the fandom. Twitter, pixiv, Ao3, and instagram are far more hopping.
I think this is for the ENNEAD ask me meme, so I'll answer based on that!
4. Who is your favorite character (if you have one)?
Shockingly I know, after publishing 48 fanfics that star or otherwise feature him in some fashion... it is Seth alkdjaldja he is best boi for me. Sad man, angry man. Love him. He's beautiful, he's tragic, he's fun. I love the way Mojito is exploring so many things with him, whether it's suicidal ideation, self-destructive tendencies, self-blame for things that are out of your control, cycles of violence, anxiety, responsibility... Just a lot of things. I love his power set (no pun intended). Shapeshifter characters have been my favorites since I was little (big fan of werewolves and shifters generally, and always have been, pretty sure it's why The Little Mermaid and other similar stories about water people who can change their shape have always stuck with me), especially when they can like dissolve into particles and reform. And I love his relationship with Horus. He's also really smart and can be quite thoughtful and I love how creative he is. Also I love when he gets into Situations. Angsty, whumpy man.
Second place is Horus. I love him so much. He's gorgeous, he's such a fun character, and he's hilarious. And his wings are so gorgeous T-T He and Seth are so cute and I go feral whenever I see them.
I like most of the cast, though.
10. How do you think ENNEAD will end?
I don't have good luck with guessing what Mojito will do intentionally, so take this with a lot of grains of salt lol I do have some luck doing it unintentionally when I write things into fics with like, "This would be cool if it happened", and then it kind of does lol And I do have some luck guessing what she won't do, so. Anywho.
We know Horuseth is the endgame ship, so they'll end up together. I assume they'll rule Egypt together in some fashion or, worst case, go off into the sunset together. Seth will fully get his powers back and the curse will be resolved. I imagine whatever's going on with Hathor's mirror will also be resolved (I think Nephthys was split into two people, and she'll be recombined and get all her memories back, and I think Hathor did it to take revenge for Ra). I'm still on the fence for whether Horus will actually "ascend" properly or not, or what that'll look like. He's kind of a strange demigod (Nut calls him the "link between the gods and humankind" (S02E44)), so I wonder if he won't actually ascend/he already has. But his ascension might also just be different than other gods, at which point I think Isis will step aside and let him rule fully on his own, with her help as needed. He doesn't marry Hathor. She gets booted out of Heliopolis. I also don't personally think he's going to lose his memory. He could, but on top of the circumstances around the whole "ascension involves memory loss" thing being still kind of unclear and questionable, he's a special kind of demigod/god, and his power involves knowing things. I think he'll be fine.
I assume Osiris will be defeated in Duat in some fashion (possibly by Seth, Horus, Anubis, and maybe FG) and just be stuck down there, stewing (Mojito likes sticking to the original mythology in a lot of ways, and I don't think she'd like... perma-dissolve Osiris of all people), and he and Anubis will be on more of a balanced power stance, and just sort of share a power domain. I feel like part of ENNEAD's conclusion will involve Anubis leaving his control and just coming into his own power entirely. And he gets his memories of Seth back to some degree.
I assume FG will head home after/around when we learn his name and the Egyptians will be like "huh, well idk who that was, but whatever, I guess we'll keep an eye on [FG's home country], though." Which... if it's Greece or Rome... -cringes a little-
I also hope that Anubis will have a heavily implied partner of some kind. It's not gonna be Seth, and I don't really think it'll be Khnum, much as I love that ship (though I'm rooting for it fully and he's as likely as anyone), but it could be Isis, too. Mojito did do some Anubis/Isis art years ago. I just want him to not be so alone.
I think Isis, Seth, and Nephthys will reconcile to some degree. I don't know that they'll be very close, but I think they will be on speaking terms, though I honestly think Seth and Nephthys are the least likely of the group for this to happen with. It depends on whatever is actually happening with the mirror. Seth and Isis are already on the path to reconciliation. Nephthys is the only actually sort of static one.
If anyone would like to ask more questions, here's the meme again :D
(If this is for the fanfiction author ask me meme I linked, I can answer that one, too! I just didn't know which meme it was, and assumed based on context it was the ENNEAD one)
