The preview for Season 2, Episode 83 of "ENNEAD" by Mojito is up in Korean!
There are a lot of ways to read the Korean, which I've listed here. If you'd like episode previews, Witchcomics, one of the official Korean publishers, typically puts out episode previews on their twitter within around 24-48 hours prior to new episode releases. Often it's actually closer to release, within a few hours.
Tumblr media
Season 2, Episode 83 should be up in Korean on March 9th, around 22:00 KST! Season 2, Episode 84 should be up in Korean on March 19th, around 22:00 KST!
The English translation of ENNEAD is currently 5 episodes behind the Korean and is currently on hiatus, but will return with Season 2, Episode 80 on 30 April 2024, around 00:00 ET (mature/uncensored version and censored version)! Here's a guide for using Tappytoon and unlocking episodes for free!
In case you missed it, other stuff in the fandom recently:
ENNEAD volume 1 is available as a physical release in English! Volumes 2-4 are also available for pre-order, though volume 4 isn't listed on Seven Seas' site yet (it's available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and should be up elsewhere soon!).
The Japanese physical release of ENNEAD will begin with the simultaneous release of volumes 1-2 on 24 April 2024, with various order bonuses depending on where you order.
The Italian translation of ENNEAD volume 1 has been released and volume 2 has also released.
There's a pre-order page for ENNEAD volume 1 in German, releasing 19 March 2024.
ACO's audio drama adaptation of season 1 is fully available to purchase digitally episode by episode. You need to buy the whole thing to get the soundtrack.
In a BNOW x ENNEAD collaboration, BNOW released an alternate reality card collection! There is a physical set of cards that can be purchased for international sale, and you can download the Korean BNOW app and use the cards you have to generate 3D models of the characters!

Konshu: Mistreats his avatars. Insults them. Never says Please or Thank You. used Rules Lawyer to keep his contract with Marc and Steven.
Ammit: Treats her Avatar well. Is willing to reduce Harrow's punishment for his sins to simply doing Community Service.
Taweret: Treats her Avatar like the queen she is. She is a sweetheart, she always has nice things to tell Layla, knows her father. She even gives her cool wings as a bonus.

What if the Sun King and Sarcean's relationship/brotherhood was like Osiris and Seth from Ennead????
Osiris = SK, Seth = Sarcean ofc
He kept Anharion on abstinence cause he can't have Sarcean be with the love of his life cause he wanted Sarcean for himself.
It also makes the Sun King feels Regent-y too.

So Isis approved Hathor’s engagement to Horus without Horus' permission and fully knowing he's in love with someone else... Here I thought she might have changed after her "sleep". Guess not! Horus is still just a tool for her.
I hope this does't get out of hand (it will) and Seth hears about the marriage and thinks Horus was just mocking him or using him and that he's like Osiris. I hate that trope so much.
Imo, the moment Horus hears about it he'll finally stand up to his mother, tell her he's not into women and fly away back to Seth, hoping he didn't hear the news (he'll have) and Horus will have to regain Seth's trust.

guys, ignore this if you are a goody two shoe anti pirating puritan
But where are you reading ennead? For free? I will not make excuses, I don’t want to pay for anything, I am a cheap skate, and most sites have at least gotten to chapter 128. But where is the rest besides Tappytoons? Help an illegal sister out, pretty please? Tell me your criminal ways!

Moon Knight Ep 6 Finale Spoilers:
-
-
-
Seeing Layla as Tawarett's avatar makes me even surer that the Black Panther is trained to be Bast's avatar. Because-
Fighting skills
multidimensional experiences
spirituality/ rituals/ chanting connected to their powers
A super suit that matches the appearance of their patron God, which has a signature metallic element (Moon ninja blades, sword wings, and claws)
AND ESPECIALLY THAT ANCESTRAL PLANE REFERENCE
There certainly are separate African gods, since the ancestral plane is separate from the Duat... and it also explains why Bast doesn't speak through the Black Panther like the gods of the Ennead do. She's probably a goddess like Isis, who is worshipped within multiple pantheons.
Instead of possessing her avatar, she gave them a herb that kinda gives them the same abilities. (Giving things might be the signature move of Marvel Orishas idk)
This also means that the Great Gorilla is Hanuman's avatar. M'Baku certainly has his own powers, because that strength ain't just from a vegetarian diet.
Neither of them practices the voice possession part of Avatardom; but their tradition seems to be keeping someone ready to be the Avatar, should the need arise.
Why else is there only one Black Panther, or Great Gorilla? And why do they wear things that symbolize the god so closely?*
It would have made sense in making an army of people with those powers, since there is no consequence of more than one person taking the herb. (Like N'Jadaka and T'Challa), but they still didn't do that.
Tumblr media
And I can hear her saying "You will be my champion, my avatar."
-----------
*While T'Challa literally looks like a cat (like Marc looks like a bandaged moon-themed dude), Layla and M'Baku have more subtle references in their outfits. From what I know, Hanuman is a God who stands for devotion, loyalty, humility, and discipline: and M'Baku wearing brown shades and wooden armor, along with a Gorilla skin on his back basically radiates that. He also doesn't dress too differently from his warriors, although he's the leader.🥰🥰

Eye of Horus
In episode 4 of Moon Knight, the tomb containing Ammit’s ushabti is shaped like the Eye of Horus. The Eye of Horus is a protection symbol used widely throughout history, from ancient Egypt to the present day. And the story of its origin, in some versions, is tied to the moon.
Tumblr media
In this myth, Osiris was the king of Egypt, and his brother Set (a god of chaos) wanted the throne. Set killed his brother to usurp him, cut his body into pieces, and scattered them across Egypt.
Later, Horus (a god of war and the sky) sought to avenge his father, Osiris. In the ensuing battles, Horus defeated Set and gained the throne of Egypt, but he lost an eye in the process. Some versions of the story say Set gouged out Horus' eye, and others say Horus removed it himself as a sacrifice to resurrect Osiris as the god of the underworld. Horus' eye was magically restored, either by Hathor (a goddess of love and often depicted as Horus’ consort) or Thoth (a god of wisdom who is also associated with the moon). In certain versions, it's said that Thoth crafted a new eye for Horus out of moonlight.

I've made a couple of posts about Jake but I definitely cannot neglect Marc and Steven so here goes
I absolutely love the scene in the Field of Reeds and then in the Duat. The expression on Marc's face when Taweret tells him that the Field of Reeds is a manifestation of the peace he's always wanted looked like "how is this peaceful when I don't have Steven with me??" and after being slightly put off by the way they had his scales balance after Steven died, I quite liked how quickly they resolved that. I'm pretty sure Osiris opened the door back into life for them as an apology for refusing to believe Khonshu and Marc when they tried the Ennead that Harrow was releasing Ammit, because that choice was basically responsible for their death. (still don't like any of the Ennead, but not ALL of your decisions were bad, Osiris, congrats)
The fact that the INSTANT Marc drew breath again, Khonshu went "Ah yay he's back" and disappeared in the middle of a battle was so funny. Like I get that he needs an avatar to properly fight Ammit but he really did just go "MY HUMAN IS BACK FINALLY" and leave everyone without so much as a goodbye.
Me: Marc looks like a bat when he's flying Brother: Batmarc Me, nodding: Batmarc
THE SHOT WHEN HARROW AND MARC RUSH AT EACH OTHER ON THE PYRAMID WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! the changing perspective, floating up so only the moon was in view as Marc kneed Harrow in the face, shifting to Khonshu attacking Ammit...all gorgeous
Marc calling Layla "baby." that is all (although also him staring up at her kind of dazed and then taking off his mask so he can see her better and bear hugging her before moving back a little to just look at her and make sure she's okay) And then Steven fronting while Marc's in the middle of fussing over her to tell her she looks amazing ADORABLE
"I'm really jazzed about showing you these new skillsets we have" WE!! IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE THEM SO FULLY ACCEPTING OF EACH OTHER
On Marc and Steven fighting in unison: I found it really cool that Steven has batons (blunt instruments, definitely will hurt and incapacitate, but somewhat less likely to kill) while Marc has the crescent knife things (sharp, more precise, more likely to cause lethal damage). And the way Steven throws his baton at Harrow and it comes back to Marc!! The flowing transitions between Marc and Steven as they play off of each other's strengths in battle are so COOL and I really love it
Also epic in that battle was Marc and Steven fighting side by side with Layla! I am always a sucker for battle couples who look gorgeous while they beat the crap out of you
A little thing that I appreciated - Harrow trying to get under Marc's skin by telling him that if only Ammit had been released, she could have gotten rid of Marc and Marc's family would have been happier, and Marc just does not engage at all. Because good for him that doesn't deserve a response
The way that Marc looks over to Layla as he's dying (AGAIN), only to see her under heavy fire and that's when Jake fronts? I rest my case that Jake is aggressively protective and fronts only to keep his system from getting killed (again) and, I think, to save Layla. And the fact that Marc double checks to make sure it wasn't Steven who utterly wrecked those guys even though he knows it wasn't Steven, and then they both process "ah there's another one of us in here great" and just...LEAVE IT is great.
Marc deciding to not kill Ammit was amazing!! Good for him!! ("You want them dead? Do it yourself" Khonshu: "Okay fine I'll just ask Jake later")
Appearing in the mental hospital again worried me for a second, I don't what I thought but it wasn't good. But the facial transition between Steven and Marc is more fluid, more subtle now, and even though it takes my poor brain a couple of seconds to catch up (the accent change helps a lot), the skill in the subtlety is amazing, well done yet again Oscar Issac. I'm still curious about Harrow's "glass in shoes" habit but I liked the nod to it.
I gotta say I cannot tell the difference between groggy Steven and groggy Marc so I had no idea which one of them was fronting when he woke up. The two fish swimming together in the tank though!! I love it!! (I'm curious about the sand, though, if it's a preventative measure for their third alter surfacing, what's stopping Jake from just....undoing the leg cuff and fixing the sand? but I digress. the last couple of minutes had a very distinct "running out of time" vibe but that's okay)
and a bit more on Jake....he's so clean and mercenary (gloves, obviously killed those orderlies very silently in order to get in without raising any alarms) and simultaneously SO PETTY (he just kind of throws Harrow into the limo and then kicks the wheelchair for absolutely no reason). And that dangerous glare...the way he shoots Harrow twice like Harrow shot him twice...no WONDER Khonshu went straight to Jake as his avatar, he will get vengeance and he has no qualms about it
