Lina is a German anti-fascist from Leipzig – a city that experienced more fascist-violence per capita than nearly anywhere else in Europe in 2020. Instead of contending with this wave of far-right attacks, police there chose to target anti-fascists – the very citizens willing to stand up to fascist mobs. Lina was one of the first anti-fascists the police rounded up and has been railroaded into prison, receiving an especially severe custodial sentence in 2020.
In May 2023, Lina and three co-defendants were convicted. Lina received the harshest sentence of the four – five years and three months in prison.
Lina’s support group has set up a website where they are posting updates & news about Lina & her case. If you wish to support Lina, you can make a donation to her via bank transfer to Rote Hilfe:

germany is turning into an autoritarian state as we're watching and the media are completely ignoring the police's power and violence. they are actively ignoring democratic rights and criminalizing activism goddamn even the UN issued a warning about that

Lina is eight months pregnant, and recently evacuated Gaza for Egypt with her toddler. However, her husband is still in Gaza. Lina wants her husband to join their family in Egypt, and would like to have him present for the birth of their second child. Their campaign is making good progress, but Lina’s due date is approaching, and conditions continue to worsen in Gaza. If you cannot donate, please reblog and repost.
Thank you❤️

Artwork by the Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour, called “Arous El-Watan (Bride of the homeland)", which he painted in 1976, when he memorialized 17 year old Lina Al-Nabulsi, shot dead on her way home from school by an Israeli soldier, because she waved the Palestinian flag in solidarity with a passing protest.

May 31 & June 3 - Free Lina!
Lina E. has been in custody in Saxony since 2020, for allegedly being a leader of a “criminal organisation“ called Antifa Ost, as police suspect her of being involved with an incident where a group of well-known violent neonazis who were meeting in a restaurant in Eisenach was attacked with hammers and pepperspray by antifascists. More info here: https://www.soli-antifa-ost.org/
May 31 is the final day of the trial of Lina and three other defendants. The public prosecutor's office is demanding up to 8 years in prison and is using the ideological background as a reason, among other things. Despite shaky evidence and a key witness who thinks up everything the public prosecutor would like, it is assumed that the verdicts will be correspondingly high.
June 3 is Tag X, a huge solidarity demo on the saturday after the trial. Here are the currently planned demos:
