I need to get better at waking up. I started wearing a smart watch with a vibrating alarm clock, hoping the physical stimulating would wake me. However, this morning in my dream state, I thought that I was paralyzed and my arm was being attacked by bees. All I could do was thrash my feet around, waking up my poor sleeping cats, who in turn woke my parrot up, who in turn screamed at me to wake me up.

And I was STILL late to my meeting this morning.

I was thinking earlier today about after Stede and Ed get back together, there’s a night where Stede has to go off and get something done on his own for a day or two, leaving Ed back on the ship, it’s the first time since he came back that he and Ed have been so far apart for so long, and Ed knows there’s nothing to worry about but he’s still stressed and can’t sleep that night. So he makes some chamomile tea. It’s comforting and warm and makes him feel better so he sits in bed and drinks cup after cup after cup just missing Stede and telling himself that Stede hasn’t abandoned him again and is going to come back soon. And then his bladder is full and, then he sneezes, a small piddle squeezes out and that starts a stream that he’s too mopey and tired to do anything about but sit and feel the warmth spread on his lap. It doesn’t take long for his bladder to fill again and at that point he says, fukk it, everything’s wet already, he can’t possibly feel more pathetic than he already does, so he lets himself piss again and the wet patch that has gone cold becomes warm as a cup of tea, if he can’t have the warmth of Stede’s arms around him then he’ll settle for this.

CRYING IN THE CLUB OMFG ;O;

Poor Ed- he rational side of him tells him that this isn’t forever, Stede will be back! But, there is that part of him, the one that came out the first time Stede left, and that side is winning- the pirate is scared that Stede will leave him forever ;x;

All that chamomile tea is supposed to help him feel calm but he’s still so stuck on the idea that he’ll be all alone forever. So that warmth, despite it being one of his own making, he’s taking it and letting himself pretend it’s another warmth.

Oh god when Stede does return, Ed probably tries to hide the fact that he got in that mopey mindset and had been wetting himself and the bed practically all night but- kinda hard to hide sheets and a nightshirt that has that tell tale sign of the light yellow staining. Stede isn’t mad at all, if anything he feels a bit of guilt that Ed had felt this anxious that his mind had went there. Ofc he does have Ed help him wash the sheets, so they can spend some extra time together ;w;
