Evil!Metis AU (For Day 7, Chains, of #gayblackquillweek, Blackbright) part 1: Ever since the day Simon killed Metis to save Athena and hid the body, he is weighed down by the chain of guilt of killing and covering up the crime and the chain of despair of having no future beyond covering up the death of Metis because he thinks no one would love a murderer like him once the truth is out. However whenever Fulbright shows him love, it lessens the weight of chains Simon carries.

Evil!Metis AU (For Day7, Chains, of #gayblackquillweek, Blackbright) part 2: Three kisses, the veryfirst kiss being the aftermath of Turnabout Academy lessening the chain ofdespair, the second being the last kiss before Simon goes to jail lessening thechain of guilt, and the last being the first kiss after Simon serves hissentence and finally free of all/most of his chains, literal and metaphoricalbecause of Fulbright's (as well as Athena's and Aura's platonic) love andsupport.

First of all, I am so sorry that it took me so long to getto this.  I wasn’t doing so great andeverything and then I wasn’t sure what I wanted to say ./sigh.  Please forgive me, anon!

Also I love this; Simonand chains is just so good, in atragic and angsty kind of way (aka, my fucking life blood lbr).  

I imagine that it takeshim a while to be okay; he knows that what he did was wrong, and wants to turnaway from Bobby and Aura and Athena because he doesn’t deserve their love.  Atleast, that is what he thinks.  While hisactions were to save Athena, he still murderedhis mentor.  And he lied about it foryears and years and even tried to pin the blame on someone else.  There was no escaping that truth.  

He sees chains in hisnightmares often, dragging him down underneath water and drowning him.  When he was younger, he would try to breakfree of them, to try and get air and keep himself from suffocating but as the yearswent on, his dream self would stop resisting and just accept his fate.  He deserved it, didn’t he?  More and more chains and weights were addedon as more time passed.

But then Fulbrightcontinued to love him.  With eachcompliment or smile or kiss or anything,Simon felt conflicted.  Before the truthcame to light, the chains became worse, because there’s no way Fulbright wouldlove him if he knew the truth.  So Simontried pushing him away.  But it didn’twork.  That damned Fool Bright persisted.

As he’s being led awayto serve time, he’s sure that none of those who loved him once would ever do soagain.  But he’s met with Bobby, Aura,and Athena, each saying (in their own way) that they would visit him as much aspossible and would be there for him throughout his years and after he getsout.  Simon is surprised, and when Bobbykisses him, he feels lighter.  They were…staying?  He couldn’t understand why, but it made himsmile.

And when he eventuallygets out, the first person he sees is Fulbright, waiting for him with open armsand an open heart, and Simon feels truly free for the first time in years.

tense - Day 5

Apollo made a mistake. There was no doubt about it. A heated, not quite argument later, he was at Simon's apartment on a stiff couch coated in molted Taka feathers.

The next big mistake was Prosecutor Blackquill sat down next to him reaching over right away and Apollo tried not to shy away like a frightened bird. He still flinched, Simon firm as ever and grabbing Apollo's bangs for a tug.

"Justice, you're getting tense again." He noted, although any hint of concern was mostly invalidated by the ever present amused grin on his face.

"Stop that!" Apollo protested, swatting Simon's hands away. "Don't mess them up!" He almost whined, up on his knees and arms held defensively to keep the prosecutor at bay. At least Blackquill didn't seem like he was going to try again, too preoccupied with quiet laughter.

"Must you always style your hair so ridiculously?" He asked, Apollo letting out a whimper of defeat. Now Blackquill was going to mock him on this too...

"Well, you... How can you even see past your bangs?" Apollo countered weakly, assuming defeat and slumping over against the cushions. Simon only gave a noncomittal hum, his arm falling around Apollo's shoulders and it took every ounce of willpower in the attorney's body to not jerk away. However, when Simon's fingers slowly worked into his hair, Apollo shuddered and melted right into his touch. Deep down Apollo felt a rising frustration at how easily Blackquill played with his feelings, but he also had a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't the Prosecutor's fault either.

"Should we get some grub later?" Simon wondered aloud, Apollo going more limp under his hand as he kept running his fingers through the brown locks.

"Sure..." Apollo mumbled, eventually his head rolling to the side and resting on Blackquill's shoulder. One of these days, he'd have to get revenge for this. But for now, this had to be the most comfortable Apollo had been in ages.

My “Embarrassment” submission for Gay Simon Week!

Simon’s been absolutely swamped with work as of late, and hasn’t been paying Polly very much attention... even downright forgetting to kiss him. So, naturally, Apollo takes it into his own hands... don’t abuse your bunny, Simon~.

Also: Small headcanon that Apollo can use his ‘perceive’ ability to sort of... manipulate people at will, just very subtly. He has to make full on eye contact that doesn’t break, and boy does he love to abuse it on Simon...

Day 8- “Red String of Fate”

Just so you don’t break your neck trying to see Nayuta, there’s the image turned around (I know I got part of his suit wrong, it would take forever to fix it! >:I ). They’re supposed to be lying down, but it might not look like that. I mean, I guess it doesn’t matter.

Thank @gaysimonblackquillweek for this event, it was a lot of fun, and it was great seeing and reading others’ works. I hope we can keep the blog alive somehow (PLEASE!).

By the way, I fixed my other posts so that the days were correct (Day 5, Day 6, etc.). I’d messed up when I posted two in the same day.
