The excessive lag is gone. DbD usually lags a bit normally, so it’s back to the usual kind of lag that doesn’t ruin gameplay for the most part.

My teammates somehow managed to break Haunted Grounds every time the Clown found me. However, I managed to mind-game him a shit ton and wasted his time. When he failed to down me after the 3rd Haunted Grounds was up, he rage-quit! XD

Load into a lobby with a streamer, so I pull up his stream to here what his side is like while I play. He praised me for leading a Leatherface on a 3-Gen Chase, especially since he thought the rest of the lobby was like Rank 10 and under. The others weren’t very good tbh. Rank 15s. Still, I get downed in the chapel, right at the window you have to vault. Streamer is doing a Gen outside the building and was like, ‘oh man, it was a good run tho’. I pushed my body up against the window and made Leatherface vault instead of pick me up. 4 times in a row. And streamer is like, ‘did he just slug her, what’s going on?’ so I say in his chat, ‘I’ve tricked this twit into vaulting this window 4 times already!’. I had the time to type after all. By the 6th vault, I had distracted him long enough for another Gen to get done, and the streamer’s was about to finish too. I used Unbreakable just in time for Adrenaline to pop, and the streamer was cackling! We all Escaped!

I decided to be ballsy by trying to get killers to whiff when carrying Survivors to Hooks! And it worked! I did this to a Legion for an entire match and got face-camped at the end because I made him unable to Hook anyone. And you know what? He still failed. Yui had Borrowed Time and I guess he didn’t realize that you can unHook from different angles now so blocking the front wasn’t going to work. He got blinded by 2 Flashlights in the process and we all got out.

Bought Kate because I had enough Shards to. I did this just so I can do all those challenges demanding I use Windows of Opportunity. Also I wanted Dance With Me for ninja builds.

Decided to do a Challenge requiring me to get Flashlight saves, and my aiming with the Flashlight isn’t good on a normal day, let alone when they’re bugged. But I tried so hard! I played so much more aggressively than ever before! And I got some Blinds!

Bruh, if you decide to dedicate 2 of your Perk slots to something that can be broken in a few seconds, you choosing to DC when things don’t pan out, is pathetic. The whole using Undying in combo with other Hex Perks is legit used by everyone now and half the Killers who use it rage-quit if things don’t work out. If all Totems are broken before any Gens get done, Killer DCs. If Undying is broken first, quickly followed by Ruin, Killer DCs. If Undying isn’t the Hex broken first, but the other is broken steadily in order as it hops around, Killer DCs. Like, it seems like a great Perk, it’s just the majority of people using it aren’t very good apparently.

TWITCHORTREAT is a redeem code for a Trapper Charm. Trap-O-Lantern.

I got downed and my team managed to corner the Trapper and make him walk into his own trap! The whole game this moron walked into his own traps all the time. I don’t play him often but I’m pretty sure his traps are outlined in like red or yellow, right? Surely it’s easy to avoid them even when not being corralled into them?

NO-ED users like to act tough if they manage to get a hit in when it’s active, but if someone cleanses it, they’re “toxic” and “mean”.

I got to experience Mindbreaker for the first time. Didn’t even know it existed before today. It was a Mindbreaker/Ruin combo and it sucked! Still Escaped but it took forever! That is the Perk I hate most. I have decided this. Not having Sprint Burst automatically able to be used unnerved me so much.

How does a Rank 1 Survivor not know how to sneak around a Killer when they’re face-camping but only facing one direction? Like, Blight legit was only facing the left(toward where the doors are) and someone could have come from the right or behind and his dumb ass would have seen nothing until it was done. She had Borrowed Time and Urban Evasion too. She was healthy, never been Hooked, and had Borrowed Time. She could have sneaked up silently and done it. Instead I got left to die because she chose to pace back and forth behind a wall for A FUCKING MINUTE!

I did a ninja build a lot today! Dance With Me, Iron Will, Lithe, and Quick & Quiet! I fucked with this Leatherface so bad and it was the best thing ever! I Escaped, got 5 Flashlight Blinds on him, and lost him in every Chase, I love this build so much!

I was gonna save this dude. It was just us and 1 Gen left. The Gen was half done. I slip by Ghost Face while he goes to kick the Gen, and right as I get there the dude kills himself on his first Hook! And I just stopped running and stood in front of his hook for a few seconds, just staring in aggravation. Then I teabagged to get the frustration out. Ghost Face joins me so we’re just teabagging this broken Hook, and then he leads me to the Hatch and lets me go. It was the Killer’s first game as Ghost Face and they sent me a friend request. We’ve played some swf matches together already.

There’s something wrong with the Feng Min bloodweb. It freezes my game so I can’t click on anything, and is the only bloodweb to freeze the game. I tried every other one on Survivor and Killer and nothing bad happened.

OKAY! We get the saloon map, Feng Min has a Key and she’s swf with Ace. They put on that Offering for the Hatch to spawn in the shack. It’s a Clown. He downs Feng Min after Ace and I finish a Gen. We all converge to try and help. Bill and Ace distract so she can go to a pallet. I’m blending into a bush nearby. Clown successfully chases the other two away and goes to pick up. I morph out of the bush and slam the pallet down. Feng Min goes free and runs. He gives Chase. He gets her in the tiny walled off room and has to break the doors first to get out. Then he comes out to see where the nearest Hook is. It’s in the street between the saloon and the shack this time. He goes and picks her up and I have the small idea to try and get a blind when he comes out the doorway. I aim and go for it. He has nowhere to turn with Bill blocking behind him, and he walks off the balcony. The beam of the Flashlight shrinks and I get a notification for rescuing Feng Min from his grasp, mid-air! She’s on top of his head for like 3 seconds, and I continue to chain blind him while he stands there and she runs. He Disconnected!

I wish I was recording that so much.

Cloud Plays White: Finale

This is a long one, folks, since I realized I had a bit in my notes I had forgotten about and only found after I posted this, lol, so I have now edited it in.

when we last left off I was criticizing Alder for being useless in apprehending Ghetsis and Iris for not just taking me to Drayden’s house herself when it is Right Fucking There.

So I’m still futzing around Opelucid here.

“No way, without pokemon, I’ll be lonely and sad! …but am I just using my pokemon, then?”

wow, seems there’s some brain cells there after all. you keep exercising those, brah.

I run into a guy who thinks that it’s okay for team plasma to take pokemon from weak trainers, even though he considers himself one and feels bad for the people they rob.

There’s another dude in the same room who used to be part of team plasma but left because it was weird for him that everyone thought the same way.

See, I appreciate this part of the game’s writing - I wish there was more stuff like this, people who are conflicted and their viewpoints being front and center instead of the simplistic garbage we’re fed by Iris and Alder and company.

Though there’s an absolute nut job who says that despite the years he’s trained with his pokemon he’ll let it go if it makes it a perfect being and I am just not even gonna unpack all the lunacy there.

There’s a kid who thinks that just because N has the legendary pokemon, he must be the hero.

I am very concerned about everyone in Unova being so gullible.

I finally go to Drayden’s and get told how the original dragon performed mitosis and now we have two dragons and also they once destroyed the region with fire and lightning but it’s chill.

“People may hurt pokemon even more by imposing their selfish thoughts on them. But no matter what, Pokemon and people believe in each other, need each other, and will continue to live together…”

Drayden is smarter and more nuanced than like, anyone else, why is he not a main character.

Iris chips in about how much she can’t forgive Plasma and Drayden mentions they don’t know how to wake up Zekrom.

Well, to be fair, I’d be very surprised if they did.

Off to the gym, this’ll be interesting since I have no ice or dragon moves on my team.

I get through the trainers okay, now time to fight Daffodil.

Her Haxorus was a bit tricky but nothing I couldn’t handle, and when I walk out Juniper shows up.

And somehow she knows how to resurrect Zekrom. Cool!

She blahs about how it’ll wake up when it deems someone worthy and talks about how much I’ve changed and shows me to the gate where the route to the pokemon league is.

“Chirae? Do you regret setting out on your pokemon journey?”

UH.

mmm, that’s not fair to my pokemon though - nigh everyone around me may be looney tunes or incompetent, but they’ve been good pals.

So I hit “no” after all.

and she gives me a master ball. dope.

I make it to the gates of victory road and I honestly really like the bit where each section of them is themed after the badges! That’s a nice touch, I think that was only also done in the FRLG remakes if I recall correctly. It makes it feel a lot more ceremonious and important.

Ah here come my two idiots.

Bianca asks Cheren to smile and he’d probably implode if he did. He finally isn’t an asshole though, good for him.

The bug badge guard tells me to “fight valiantly like an insect” which is funny but I guess does make sense. Ants can fuck some stuff up, man.

Honestly I want to be a badge gate guard, seems like a fun job.

Also, I caught an excadrill in a raid the day I wrote this, and caught an excadrill in this game. Their pokedex entry includes this gem:

“Their tunnels can be destructive to subway systems”

Given the battle subway exists in this game, their insurance payments must be obscene. Imagine getting your match interrupted by a giant mole with metal fists that doesn’t give a fuck.

I named her Beans. She looks like a Beans.

I also caught a Deino. The Irate Pokémon that can’t see and tackles people to learn about its surroundings. I feel a kinship with this creature.

I named him Mezzo for laughs.

And I managed to get myself back to the beginning of victory road. Good job, cloud.

Okay I think I’ve found the right path, found a new dude to beat up which is a good sign. Apparently he’s lost too.

Love when a trainer switches out to a Pokémon mine doesn’t have a type advantage against and it gets wiped in two hits anyway. Death is inevitable.

“I’ve thought about what I can do to help my Pokémon win and I finally figured out the answer!”

Is it git gud?

Flame charge raises my speed, opponent’s klang uses automotize to prove it can do that too, dies because it’s too busy trying to go fast.

Then I get nailed by a flare blitz. Darmanitan is toxic to gen 5 nuzlocke runs, I swear. Especially since I have no one on my hodgepodge team resistant to fire. At least my unfezant is faster.

“Read what your opponent wants to do. Your opponent is human and may change plans from moment to moment. Be careful!”

There’s some meta joke to be made there but I’m not thinking of anything witty. Something something AI having a point even if not in this context.

Back to the beginning again but I think I know what I need to do now.

I looked at a walkthrough to check, tho, lmfao. Was tired of climbing up there only to fall down the wrong spot.

“There’s an item at the bottom! Do you want to slide all the way down?”

You’re the devil talking and you tempt me but I will ignore your silver tongue for now.

So I’m at the league and I thought Cheran would pop out of the bushes before I got here. That’s weird. I could swear he fights me one last time before I challenge the elite four.

NO CHERAN. OKAY. WHAT. IS MY GAME GLITCHED??

I guess not! Huh.

All right then. Time to try and see if I can win with my very unbalanced team.

Lmfao yeah my first attempt against the ghost trainer crashed and burned. Literally, thanks to her Chandelure. Very glad I saved on the outside. TIME TO GO TRAIN MORE.

No Marty, you may not learn wild charge, this is a no recoil moves household, self harm is bad.

Some grinding later, I am ready to try again.

Shauntal gave me a little trouble but was much more manageable. Grimsley was easy, only his Krookodile gave me issues.

I really like the elite four battle areas in this gen, I do admit. Very aesthetic.

Ah shit I know that Musharna is coming.

Never mind, that pink and purple snoozeball went down easy. I didn’t have a single Pokémon faint.

Unless Marshal breaks the trend the fights have actually gotten easier as I went.

He actually was a bit tricky, gave me a good show.

Hello endless stairs, hello N and Alder, hello giant random castle that just explodes out of the ground somehow.

Thanks mate, never would’ve figured that out without you. Why do you need a castle.

Oh wow, the gym leaders finally decided to be useful and fight the sages for me instead of letting extremists wander around unchecked.

You all already did that, Elena. I watched as Clay and Iris let these assholes go. We could have avoided this whole plot if literally any of you had done more earlier.

So the game says the castle was built by the Pokémon team plasma took but how the fuck did they like...work underground...you know what I’m not gonna even think about it too hard because it makes no sense and I know that. I must make my peace.

I also like how the castle is nonsensical and yet there’s a line of dialogue about how they’ll liberate the Pokémon in PCs too for their Master Plan(TM), which is surprisingly thoughtful. This game is so inconsistent with how much sense its lore makes. It’ll come up with something clever and then wear its underwear on its head the next minute.

Love how Ghetsis’s bouffalant kills itself via recoil from its own move and my scrafty’s rocky helmet.

He gave me a good fight too though.

I do like the ending, despite my issues with how the game presents its message. N is a great character and I appreciate what Nintendo was trying to do with the game’s plot, they just...didn’t really delve into it like they should have.

I’m glad I replayed it. I still have my issues with gen 5 but I see a lot more of its positives now.

We’ll see if I do any post-game content, I have gotten kind of attached to my grump-ass trainersona and his weird team.

I generally prefer second generation??? I think????? I like a bit of all of them tho. but like there is no definitive answer to when each of the generations start and end so like I don't even know??? but most of my fav groups as far as music goes are older around 2nd gen but a fair amount of them are gen 3, I have a really strong love for kpop that was released between 2009-2014.

Tell me a fun childhood story (I’ll start! One time an aunt gave me money to buy ‘papas’ (potatoes) at the grocery store so bc I’m obedient af I went and asked the counter lady how many of em could I buy with the money I had so she went ‘uhh, not many tbh’ so i ended up getting like two and when I returned to my aunt’s house she laughed her ass off and said: I meant ‘papas fritas’ (potato chips) Not those! - and uh yeah this is funnier in Spanish but it proves that I’m such an innocent angel I mean wow)

ok so I spent a lot of time at my aunt Lori’s house when I was a kid (like summers, and after school) and my cousin was the BUG queen so she hand made leashes for her pet toads (that she caught) and we walked them around on leashes for like a week but I was always so afraid of them and also hurting them so I WAS NOT ABOUT THAT ahahaha dumb story but it makes me laugh alsoalsoalsdo they had this bench swing in their back yard and my cousin my sister and I would swing on it together for hours at a time and one time we were swinging real hard (REAL HARD) and the links?? or whatever that held it to the ceiling it was hanging from snapped and the three of us of us flew off of it and we all collectively blacked out??? it was so weird but I woke up to my cousin stuggling to get me off of her and then there lays my sister underneath the bench just blacked out chilling (she was fine) then my aunt came running out cause she had just heard the loudest crash ahsdfasdf not long after my uncle put stronger links on it and that bench is still there! From time to time when the three of us get together this story gets brought up its still the most hilarious thing ( ALSO CLOUD YOU ARE SO PURE I LOVE)

Pokemon GO's "Solstice Event" is less than 10 hours away from ending. However, I believe I've seen enough of it to produce a short summary. So here goes my rant... I mean, review...

NOTE: Obviously, this is indeed a RANT. A completely subjective one at that. I initially wanted to post it on Twitter, but it's a little too long to vent out. Hence I've decide to just blog it out spontaneously (for the record, this was written several hours before it goes up). My point is... do proceed at your own risk! LOL

I was genuinely excited about this "Solstice Event", because unlike some lucky folks on my Twitter feed, my area has been pretty 'dry' of Fire and Ice-Types for... such a long time. By long, I'm talking about since the day the game was officially released! Similar to a good Squirtle of Gen I, one would be regarded VERY lucky if they can even obtain a Cyndaquil in the wild! Trust me, unlike Chikorita or Totodile, the Fire-Mouse is rare, like really REALLY RARE. So my enthusiasm was already riding high even before this Event began, and of course, I entered it with such joy and thrill. And well, it DID live up to the promise!

Aside from seeing Houndour more often than usual (prolly the only species of its kind that strangely loves to hang around in my neighborhood), rare Fire-Types like Ponyta and Growlithe could be seen almost everywhere. Day One, my area was practically turned into a den of Vulpix, then followed by the Fire-starters of all genders and CPs, and so on. As for the Ice-Types, Swinub (that I've only managed to encounter ONE TIME before this event), and those I haven't yet seen again unless from an Egg like Seel, Shellder, and Sneasel, showed up every now and then. One of those would pop up every few metres, and that's really COOL!!! Everyday, the second I walked out of the house, I would be greeted by a horde that consists of various species. Earlier today, a flock of 8-10 Pokemon just showed up altogether. How good was that! Considering their rare occurences, this was an exciting experience. All is good and sound, then?

NOT exactly. Problem was... ZERO PokeBalls. Yes, for some reason (probably due to the extra XP for that Ball-throwing rule) these Pokemons were generally a PAIN to catch, especially the starters. I think I could waste more than 5 PokeBalls just to capture a Cyndaquil or Charmander. And they were NOT even of good quality! Thus I kept running out of Balls before I could even obtain one. Honestly, eventhough I have intentionally stock up for this event, my PokeBall saving got drained up SOOO fast, it's as if there's a blackhole inside my bag! Which... would've been okay, had there was an easy way to re-stock them. But NOPEEEE... the PokeStops suddenly became really stingy for some reason, acting out of their daily norm. Many times my spin only rewarded me Potions and Berries, meaning the game practically left me cursing while staring at blank as the horde of Pokemon began fleeing one after another. To top this nagging daily issue, I spent my Balls (as well as using Buddy system) to get Candies for several particular Pokemon, with the sole purpose to evolve them. Then Guess what? I ran into their evolution forms IN THE effing WILD! And they were all catchable with just one single throw of PokeBall (No, not even Great Ball). I'm talking about you Piloswine, Ninetales, and gaaah, *drumrolls* Flareon (See?! How on Earth would you encounter an Eeveelution, right?)! Not that I'm being ungrateful, but I could've focused my time and resource on other species if I had known this would happen.

Of all in-game events that Niantic has held up to this day, this definitely ranked the 2nd worse I've ever experienced so far. The worst would be that short-lived unspiring non-existent "Worldwide Bloom", by the way. This wasn't all bad, because I did score some major amount of candies to get... more evolutions for species I've already evolved weeks ago(no kidding), as well as to power up existing ones. But I expected better, to have more FUN like the unexpected pleasant surprise I had with "Adventure Week" (which ironically put Rock-Types at the spotlight. Species I NEVER fond off!). Yet I ended up cursing almost every time I turned on the Pokemon GO App, at the sight of some of my favorite Pokemon species too. It's as if throughout the Event, I was stuck in some bad life choices, and I sure did NOT expect that! To sum up, as fun as the "Solstice Event" could've been, it instead made me grumpy & bitter in general. So... MEH, and better luck next time!

Event Score: 6,5 out of 10

PS: I can't help but wonder what would be Niantic's next event be, though? No, I'm not talking about the upcoming "Gym System Update and Raids". It already gives me several reasons to be... anxious and worried, but it's not categorically an Event. And said upgrade is inevitable anyway, even if I'm unsure if it will solve the spoofing and Gym hoarding issues. I'm talking about Pokemon Type-based Events like this "Solstice". We haven't gotten anything related to Bug, Psychic, Electric, Flying, and other newer Types, have we? I'm curious if we'll ever be seeing those in the future? Hmmm... Oh well, I hope whatever it is, it'll be better than this one. Already lowering my expectations to avoid further disappointments...
