Asztrik is definitely the weakest character so far. I hate how he is played. Its too overly dramatic and doesnt fit the high-priest image imo.

Ok im excited about the nobles. So far there were never an adaptation where the nobles were played badly. Lets see.

ok so, them being two-faced bastards is a bit on the nose,BUT! At least they are played well. I don't know about the costumes, i guess it just comes with this being a "modern adaptation". Great singing voices too.

Now, the next big hit or miss. Réka. Koppány's daughter she is stuck inbetween two opposing forces.

she wears a red dress, here most likely Koppány's color, or the color of the pagans, but has a blue scarf, suggesting that she is a christian, thus on István's side. Nicely done. The voice? Meh, not good, not bad, tolerable. Ok shr kinda sings like she isn't hungarian. She is stressing the wrong syllable.

ok so this is not Koppány. My bad. Couldn't tell the differences between the red guys, sorry. This is Laborc, Koppány's right hand man. I love Laborc in the original and original only. He needs to have a certain rage and conviction and sadly none has been able to replicate it. He sings my favourite song, lets see how this turns out.

I like the fact that they made Sarolt,István's mother, ready to throw hands when Koppány appeared.

It was definitely a wrong choice to have people chanting "István! Koppány!", while István is singing his melancholic song.

act 3 is… a smidgen unpolished

#i almost want to set the game aside and wait for morr patches #graphics are horrendous in dialogue and cutscenes #i got a glitch where gale spoiled the ending to a quest i hadn’t even encountered yet #strange ui bugs like the screenshot #and just the design and pacing overall feels so different from the first 2 acts #plus compounding ui/ux issues that are more difficult to manage as the game goes on #like not being able to delete multiple saves at once #or not having access to all companions inventory in camp #where as you gain more companions and the camp gets larger #it takes even more time to jog around dismissing and inviting characters if you just wanted to swap weapons or whatever #also it’s driving me nuts that there are so many npcs without relevant dialogue in act 3 #i’d rather the city just be less populated rather than breaking immersion by either not being able to talk to people #or talking to 40 people in a row who are just there for flavor #also crime and pickpocketing are so broken and inconsistent #i’m gonna power through for astarion’s quest and then i might just start a nee campaign and wait for updates #the number of times i stumbled into familiar characters/places without any sort of recognition or warning #idk… i wish they’d pushed release to polish act 3 up more… #h #bg3 #bg3 spoilers #bg3 vent #fuck one more thing i feel like companions should have more to say after encountering quests! #like really? astarion?? no thoughts in your pretty head after running into a group of monster hunters who tie into your torrid past???

questions I have about astarion romance storyline, I have lots of thoughts about him and want help from people who have played already, uh spoilers for his early romance plot below

does anyone know if you have to have sex with astarion for his romance scenes to lead up to you both working together to figure out what you both really want?

haven't gotten to play yet, and while he's undeniability charming (like he's trying to be) I'd like to refuse him without it shutting off the romance if that's an option? I'd still want to pick flirty options when I think they'd be fun but the character I have in mind would see through the more performative bits and wouldn't really be interested in sex with someone they think is lying to them, it would fit the character more if they refused.

I'm okay with mild spoilers if it relates to his story.

I feel like the answer will be no, and given the story stuff with him I've seen I could understand why, but this game has a lot of branching options so thought I might as well ask!

EEK OMG YAY! okay so one thing about me im a little student girlie #ihaventboughtmilkinaweek so i will always consume media the free way lmao. the site i read the bsd manga on is 'bsdmanga.com' which seems very legit but does also do pop ups a lot for me so just make sure you've got an adblock going. if you want to properly buy them though ive seen bsd being sold in almost every waterstones! as for the anime, the sub and dub were both free on crunchyroll AND funimation back when i first started watching it, but not anymore bc everything is awful. the main less-legit site i use for anime is 'animesuge' and that has it there :)

i think people generally are sleeping on the fact that the first thing we know about Jade and Dave's relationship is that they make music together

like, all the kids play instruments besides Dave, who does digital music making and makes remixes of recordings his friends make - but so does Jade. in canon she's the one who wrote Potential Verdancy and Ohgodwhat, and Explore which she sends to Dave and then he sends back Explore Remix, but Explore is probably a response to Dave's track Rediscover Fusion, and Crystalanthemums was originally something Dave wrote that Jade remixed - and that's only what we see from one page of Jade's music player, it's likely these weren't the first tracks these two kids experimented with, just the ones Jade saved on her favorites playlist

what I'm trying to say is that Jade and Dave making music together is 'photographer Dave' levels of 'initial character trait that got lost in the plot shuffle' and I wish we brought it back more
