As Tumblr folk who have picked my book seem to largely like it (you are my people) I will perhaps inconsistently put some of my reels on here? Here is a neat stop motion one set to Hozier.

Dragonfall is a queer epic fantasy with a genderfluid thief and a dragon trapped in human form falling in love despite it being a bad idea all around.

Expect: multiple POVs and narrative positions, yearning, a world where it's rude to assume a stranger's gender, a heist, my take on the fated mates/soulmate bond trope, cute mini wyverns, and if people use too much magic without fuelling themselves properly they might turn into a vampire/zombie/cannibal thing.

If you pick it up and enjoy, I'd really appreciate a review on places like GR/Amazon/Storygraph/wherever to feed the ever-hungry algorithm.

As much of a surprise as August's rebirth and arrival to the kingdom was, Irene wasn't about to let him marry Willow without going through the kingdom's rituals. They didn't have time for all three baths for him, but she'd be damned if she didn't ensure he went through the soul cleansing bath.

And thus that morning, she walked into his room like whirlwind, dunking him into a bath prepared with flowers and perfumed oils before rolling up her sleeves and setting to getting him scrubbed. This one part however, she had to do herself.

Soaping up her hands, she'd begin to wash his hair. Her slim fingers worked their way through his golden locks, carefully massaging the scalp as she cleansed him of his sins the night before. "Normally, one's mother would be the one washing the hair." She'd say softly, working on a mat of dried blood. "It's an important ritual for our people. I'm already standing in for my mother for Willow, so I didn't imagine you would mind too terribly."
