Oh boy this was harder to write than it seems I'm trying my best not to cry I pictured Clarice with cute little braided pigtails a cute little dress you know the one that the little girl from Little House on the prairie weird anyway I hope everybody enjoyed this also remember if you are a parent who lost a child or loved one just remember that they are home with God and that they never left you that they are always with you even if you can't see them I lost my grandmother when I was 15 it was really sad for me but I knew that she wasn't too far away cuz I knew that she was in my heart and she wouldn't want me to be sad about it

A Real Boy - Chapter 11
Conner was killed two weeks later.
They didn't get to have another meeting by the next week. Tim's dad had demanded that he should come and visit him in Central City. The visit itself was... angering Tim so much. Dad wanted him to move his college transcripts to Central City University. If it was not for his new wife, Dana, who explained that CCU didn't have the studies Tim was taking for his Microbiology degree, he might have had a hard time to tell his dad 'no'. Even with Jason by his side.
The only good thing that came out of the two-day visit was that Dana, dad's new wife, was impressed at Jason and right away demanded that Jason "take care of Tim." She might have thought that Jason was Tim's boyfriend, and neither of them corrected her. Even Tim was slowly realizing that Jason's demeanor toward him - as was his toward Jason - could definitely be seen as a closer relationship than 'buddy'-hood; or housemates.
With the success of determining Szazs' next victim, and consequently preventing a murder from being committed and presenting enough evidence for Bruce's team and the GCPD in arresting Victor Szazs; Tim was given another task by Bruce on Monday. The task was to find evidence that Lex Luthor has created another life effigy. One that is less Clark and more... something else; using the same materials and methods that had created Conner.
On Tuesday, Tim had found the evidence and told Bruce; and then he'd told Conner over a video call. Conner had laughed and told him that it would be funny if he'd have to fight his own face.
Tim was glad he had the video call recorded out of habit.
On Wednesday, Tim found himself running through a pile of debris, courtesy of the fight between Conner and his clone in Metropolis City. Toward Cassie, who was kneeling and cradling Conner in her arms; Bart, barely clinging to life after dragging the clone through the speedforce realm with his cousin, Wally West; Rachel trying to hold Bart's life together; and Conner. Lifeless, bloodied, beaten, and broken.
Tim never wailed. Tears might have streamed freely from his eyes as he slumped right next to Cassie, watching the lifeless body of one of his best friends. Cassie sobbed openly, and Bart and Rachel managed to reach over and held Cassie's shoulder.
But the battle raged on, and there were others who were fighting for their lives around him. The clone that Luthor had made might have been the strongest there was. It had incapacitated Clark, who was secretly flown out to the Wayne Manor. Diana, Donna, Bruce, Dick, and many others were still trying to... well, not get dead, mostly.
He slowly stood up and looked at Wally. "I'm not gonna ask Bart just yet. Wally, can you make an amplifying tornado?" he asked.
"What are you gonna do?" Wally asked back, a little trepidation in his voice. Apparently Wally might have heard some things that Bart had done with said 'amplifying tornado', because he added, "You can't..."
"Just do it, please. Now. Bruce, if you can hear me. Tell every Kryptonian to get out of the range. Make them go to the moon, if necessary." Tim gritted, hoping that his commlinks still worked. "Jason." he called, knowing that he didn't even have to speak his command to Jason.
Jason exhaled slowly. "Wally, just do as he said..." Jason said quietly. "We need this to stop at all cost, before it cost us all."
He could see Wally gulped, but he nodded. "Just tell me when." he said, raising his hand to make the small, targeted tornadoes that would amplify whatever spell Tim would make.
And this one would target Conner's Kryptonian blood that's heavily smeared on Tim's hands. Clark Kent's DNA.
A red-and-blue blur landed behind him. "Hold on a second," a voice said. "I'm getting us out of here. I'm sorry, Cassie..." Kara, Clark's cousin - technically Conner's, too - said, as she wrapped her cape around Conner's body and flew away.
"Cassie," Tim started. Cassie's eyes were red and hard, tears still streaming down from them.
"Do it, Tim. Destroy them." she commanded.
Tim nodded. He could feel the anger building up within him, added with Jason's boost, and building, and building; he barely managed to tell Wally "now," before a burst of energy zapped out of his palm into Wally's tornadoes. His anger twisted every bit of the copies of Conner's DNA out of the clones and they screamed. He could hear them scream in pain and would have prolonged the screams, if only to let them know of the pain Conner had; make Conner's DNA pushed themselves out of the clones through every vein and orifice - if Jason hadn't pushed and boosted his energy more.
They blew up right where they stood, scattered all over their surrounding area and opponents. The world felt quiet for a good second, and Tim didn't even realize that Wally had stopped the tornadoes while his own energy still spritzing out of his fingers. He snapped out of his reverie only when a hand landed on his wrist and Bruce's voice said, "it's enough, Tim..." softly.
He blinked owlishly. He'd thought of targeting the other set of DNA that would have destroyed Lex Luthor as well; and it was only a split-second decision - and the realization that there could also be another human being or some innocent relatives of Lex's who could be destroyed along - that made him decide on Conner's less-common Kryptonian DNA, instead.
"I didn't kill any humans." Tim said, almost defensively.
"No, you didn't." Bruce acknowledged. "Rachel, please help with the clouding; Wally, take Bart out of here; Cassie, if you're up for it, please help Donna and Diana with the cleanup and checkup, see if there is any bystanders were harmed." he commanded, gently, but authoritatively. Everyone around them promptly left, leaving Tim standing there just with Bruce and Jason. "Jason, can you carry us both back home?"
"Approximate home, only, man. Your house is more protected than the Presidential Palace, remember?" Jason replied, one of his arms already wrapped around Tim's shoulder, practically supporting him.
"Front yard would be just divine, lad," Bruce replied.
By the time Tim managed to croak, "Conner..." Jason had already teleported them into the Wayne Manor's front gate. Alfred stood there, right next to a golf cart, as he opened a small door on the massive gate.
"...Conner is being... cared for by Kara, Tim." Bruce said, obviously choosing his words carefully. "I'm... sorry."
"I should've done the spell sooner." Tim concluded. "I'm sorry... I didn't think of it before."
"You do the spell sooner, you'd have decimated Conner as well." Jason reminded.
Tim blinked. "I could have just..." he started, and then drew a blank. There was no other option. To destroy the clones, he'd needed Conner's blood. Conner's DNA. To get Conner's DNA, Conner would have to bleed. And died.
He sobbed, ignoring the fact that they have reached the Manor's front door; or that Clark was limping out of the door with questions in his eyes. Tim just sobbed and wept, leaning heavily on Jason. He didn't care that Jason had lifted him out of the cart and carried him into the Manor like a baby. He didn't care for Clark's questions, or that Bruce had pulled Clark to the side to make way for Jason. He just closed his eyes and wept.
By the afternoon, it was clear that the clones have made a lot more damage than anyone could ever see. Dick reported that two of his teammates were killed, too, Lilith Clay and Don Hall - both were much, much more powerful in their magick than Conner. Lilith was a pure homo-magi and telepath; Don Hall was a mortal granted the powers of Terataya, a cosmic God of Order.
Hank Hall, Don's brother and the opposite of Don as he was granted powers by T'Charr, god of Chaos; was on screen, demanding why the clones were destroyed because he'd wanted to singlehandedly destroy them all. It was anger speaking, Tim could tell, because Hank was looking worse for wear himself - both hands shattered, leg was nearly cut right off, a lot of ribs broken. Plus he wasn't exactly invulnerable, and Conner was.
Or so they all believed.; Tim thought bitterly. But hey, then again, even Clark was looking worse for wear. Tim has gotten away with a few bruises, because Jason had taken the brunt of the magickal attacks. Jason looked peachy, but Tim could tell that his energy was pretty much bruised and battered. He knew, he could feel it. Alfred was busy tending to the lot of people under this roof; and on the other side of the country, at the JL's headquarter - where Hank showed through the videocall he was making to Bruce - there were people tending to each other. Tim could see Zatanna Zatara, the most powerful magi of all time, hunched over a stove; definitely creating massive amount of concoction to heal people.
He looked around, found Cassie and Rachel, Bart, and Wally at one end of the living room. Wally was moving around, helping Alfred. Cassie was glaring angrily at a wall a few feet off the big videocall screen, and Rachel tried to just be there for her, not moving, but not holding her, either. Bart was surprisingly still, and quiet.
Before he could finish the thought of whether or not he should approach them, Bart zipped up to his side and hugged him tight. It took Tim a few heartbeats to realize that Bart was crying, and for him to hug back.
So he did. Cassie eventually got to them and wrapped her arms around the two of them. Rachel approached them timidly, and Tim waved her in. "Just let us cry a while, Rach..." he warned, because Rachel has the ability to 'cleanse' emotions - not just physical pains - and he didn't want that. Not yet. Not now.
Right now, Tim knew that they all needed a good, long cry. For Conner.

Can you tell me the backstory behind Nathaniel Richards(Reed's father) and if possible maybe Franklin Storm(Sue and Johnny's father) as well?
Sure! First Franklin Storm because he appears in significantly fewer comics and is less complicated than the time-traveling lothario who is Nathaniel Richards.
Franklin was a famous neurosurgeon whose life fell apart after his wife died in a tragic car accident. He performed the surgery on her and failed to save her life, and of course blamed himself for all of it. (I suspect the sliding timescale would erase the surgery part at the very least – there’s no way that anyone nowadays would allow a man to operate on his own wife, especially if he’d just survived a terrible car accident.)
After his wife died, he began to drink heavily and gambled away his family’s entire fortune, leaving Johnny and Sue penniless, and, when a loan shark showed up to collect on one of his debts and pulled a gun, Franklin attacked him. The gun went off while they were struggling over it, the man died, and Franklin was sent to prison for murder, partially because he was too despondent to try to defend himself.
Sue told Johnny their father died, and they were sent to live with their Aunt Marygay Jewel Dinkins. Sue kept lying to Johnny for YEARS about their father’s death, which is, uh, pretty messed up. There was never any real emotional fallout between Johnny and Sue over the revelation that she’d been lying to him for so long, even though there should have been.
Cut for length.
This is the backstory we get in Fantastic Four v1 #32:
Tumblr media
How old Johnny and Sue were when their mother died and father went to jail has varied significantly over time as canon has shifted, but Johnny was likely extremely young at the time.
But, honestly, Franklin Storm checked out of being an actual father to Sue and Johnny long before he was stuck in a jail cell – even before his wife died. In Fantastic Four v1 #528, Reed speculates that Sue’s invisibility may have been a byproduct of feeling neglected by her bickering, indifferent parents:
Tumblr media
He was never a good father.
In Fantastic Four v1 #31, Sue sees a newspaper headline saying her father escaped from jail – apparently, however, no one in the press had connected the dots between her and Johnny and their father:
Tumblr media
Sue doesn’t mention any of this to Johnny because he still thinks his father is dead.
We’re never given an explanation for why he escaped, but when Sue’s badly injured, he shows up at the hospital and operates on her, thus saving her life and sort of, supposedly, redeeming himself for failing to save his wife. This, by the way, is how Johnny finds out his father is still alive.
Tumblr media
Franklin operates on Sue, saves her life, and immediately gets carted back off to prison, where he’s attacked and replaced by the Super Skrull, who then escapes and goes around masquerading as him, dressed as a guy called the Invincible Man. The FF, of course, are sent to take him down, but Johnny and Sue don’t know what to do because they don’t want to hurt their father:
Tumblr media
Reed figures out he’s an impostor, so he contacts the Skrulls and arranges a prisoner exchange – the Super Skrull for Franklin. When Franklin is teleported home in the Super Skrull’s place, however, he warns them all to stand back, rolls over, and thus shields them all from the bomb that’d been strapped to his chest. Somehow, he lives long enough to give a dying speech to his children about how he always loved them and how he hopes this all redeems him for having been a terrible father:
Tumblr media
So, yeah, that’s the story of how Johnny and Sue had to watch their father die.
I also wonder how much of Johnny’s personality was influenced by his dad – when he’s hurting, he drinks and parties, the sacrifice play is his go-to…and, look, I’m not convinced that there isn’t a lengthy history of chronic depression in Johnny’s family that Johnny inherited.
On to Nathaniel!
Nathaniel Richards began working, in the 1950s, as a member of the Brotherhood of the Shield alongside Howard Stark. They were told that they had to abandon their families and both agreed. Howard had no qualms whatsoever, even arranging to have his death faked, but Nathaniel swore he’d come back to his son someday. Given the fact that Howard says “them,” I’m assuming Nathaniel’s wife, Evelyn, was still alive, meaning Reed had to have been younger than seven at the time, since that’s how old he was when she died. This means also that Nathaniel was likely gone a lot during Reed’s childhood.
This is from S.H.I.E.L.D. v1 #5:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
….I’m beginning to wonder if Nathaniel was even around when Evelyn died. Nathaniel’s basically the guy who chose science and the greater good over family – i.e., everything Reed haters accuse Reed of being when he isn’t, and that’s in direct reaction to his father. Reed tries so hard to be a good, present father because his father wasn’t.
We know that when Nathaniel visited Reed in college a few years later, Nathaniel acted as though he hadn’t seen Reed since Reed was a child – probably since he began working for the Brotherhood. This is from Hickman’s run – Fantastic Four v1 #581:
Tumblr media
We find out in Fantastic Four v1 #271 that Nathaniel disappeared for good about three years before the spaceflight crash and left Reed two billion dollars, which Reed used up to fund his rocket. Reed hadn’t seen him at all since then.
Tumblr media
He clearly knew he was going to be gone for a while.
Reed and the FF find Nathaniel’s time platform in his lab at the Richards family estate, and Reed realizes that his father’s blueprints are incorrect and that he must have been shunted off into an alternate universe, so they go to rescue him. In Fantastic Four v1 #272, they discover that there’s a cruel warlord who has taken over the alternate Earth, who Reed realizes, much to his dismay, is his father.
Tumblr media
Yeah, this account of Reed’s childhood doesn’t entirely match up with what later writers did with Nathaniel.
But anyways, it turns out Nathaniel’s been fooled by his wife, who is actually the warlord and had been using Nathaniel’s scientific knowledge to conquer the planet. Nathaniel eventually decides to stay on this parallel world and try to make amends, and also raise his baby son, Reed’s half-brother. It turns out at the end of this issue – which is expanded upon in Avengers v1 #269 – that this reality is actually the one Kang the Conqueror is from, and that Kang, whose real name is Nathaniel Richards, is actually Nathaniel’s descendant and/or son, and thus distantly related to Reed or his half-brother.
So Nathaniel basically went to an alternate world and started a new family, away from Reed.
Nathaniel doesn’t return until Fantastic Four v1 #375, but when he does it’s just to cause trouble. This is the characterization of Nathaniel that’s stuck. He cares about his family, but he’s almost ruthlessly practical when it comes to protecting the timestream, and he’ll lie, manipulate, and deceive his family to make that happen. Reed and Sue discover that in Fantastic Four v1 #376, when Nathaniel kidnaps his grandson in order to prevent some apocalyptic future from occurring.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Franklin returns moments later…but instead of a 5yo, he’s a teenager, raised in the future by his grandfather. Reed and Sue discover they’ve missed his entire childhood, and Sue, for one, is livid and refuses to believe it.
Tumblr media
The FF, understandably, have a very difficult time forgiving Nathaniel for this. They mostly think of him as manipulative, self-serving, and largely uninterested in his family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Reed is seemingly killed in action, Nathaniel shows up for the reading of his will…and Ben clearly despises and distrusts him. From Fantastic Four: Unplugged #2:
Tumblr media
Despite Nathaniel’s mistreatment of Reed, Reed keeps seeking his approval and love, but Nathaniel consistently denies it to him. We see this in Marvel Knights 4 #18, when Reed begs his father to stick around and actually be a parent, and Nathaniel just…leaves.
Tumblr media
Reed always sees the best in everyone….even if it’s difficult.
We discover too that Nathaniel has been posing as Doom because he is searching for his son, who is destined to become the absolute ruler of Latveria. Sue at first assumes he means Doom, but it turns out he was talking about Kristoff, Doom’s adopted son, who is thus Nathaniel’s biological son and Reed’s half-brother.
In Fantastic Four v1 #581, we find out that an explosion that occurred while Nathaniel was working for the Brotherhood left him potentially immortal and with the ability to travel through time. Also, that it affected every Nathaniel in every universe, and that they were all ordered by Immortus and the Time Variance Authority to hunt each other down and kill each other until there’s only one left. Nathaniel gets Reed, Ben, and Victor to help him murder the final one. I am…so impressed by Nathaniel’s parenting skills. What kind of parent wouldn’t disappear for YEARS and then reappear only to ask their college-aged kid and his friends to help them murder their alternate self?
He is so bad at parenting. It’s really a wonder Reed turned out so well.
Hope that helped!

MORNING STEW #24
So much to share this morning. Calls for a Morning Stew.
Welcome to Morning Stew #24.
At a Trump rally in Tupelo, Mississippi last night, the President described impeachment as an “attack on democracy.” Impeachment is not the attack. The attack is the President himself.
At the same rally, Trump discussed Beto O’Rourke. O’Rourke announced yesterday he was withdrawing from the race for the Democratic nomination. Trump said Beto “quit like a dog.” Plus it is reported the President used words that could not be printed.
A class act, our President!
Dresden was and still is a major German city. The Allies bombed the hell out of it during World War II.
Dresden as with all other German communities, quickly adapted following World War II to a way of life similar to that of most Allied communities. Nazism was totally and absolutely rejected.
Things have changed.
Dresden has a “Nazi emergency.” “Nazinotstand” the term. Means Dresden has “a serious problem…..open democratic society is threatened.”
A neo-Nazi mayor has been elected. Does not mean Dresden has become a Nazi bastion. The City Council voted in favor wednesday night 39-29 in support of a resolution reflecting and showing their dismay for the neo-Nazi mayor and the wave of neo-Nazism which is creeping over Dresden.
The resolution is intended to show the City Council’s position in opposition to neo-Nazism and their opposition to the growth of anti-Islamism in the Dresden. The resolution reflected the City Council’s commitment to fostering “a free, liberal, democratic society that protects minorities and resolutely opposes Nazis.”
Anti-Islamism is on the rise. Sometime in October, demonstrations began. Weekly, every monday night. Described as” an anti-Islam Pegida movement.” Pegida stands for “Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West.” Islamophobia at its worst.
Most of the world is moving to the right. Not a healthy situation.
Tomorrow (Sunday) is National Sandwich Day.
Last year many of the chains gave out free sandwiches. This will not be the case this year. Most are advising customers how to sign up for apps. that will assist in ordering.
Subway is doing something . I think a buy one, get one free deal. McDonald’s is giving out coupons directing customers to go to McDonald’s apps and take advantage of any benefits available therfein. McDonald’s is returning to Happy Meals in a limited fashion also. Described as retro Happy Toys from 1988.
All confusing this year. Last year was much easier when most of the chains invited a person in for a freebie.
Syracuse/Boston College at noon. Boston College a  3 point favorite. Hope Syracuse wins. I am screwed once again. The game is being carried on ACCN. ACCN and Comcast have not made their dollar deal yet for Syracuse games. Ergo, we Syracuse fans are left out in the cold.
On this day in 1948, Harry Truman defeated Thomas Dewey  for the U.S. Presidency.
Much amusement involved in the result.
Dewey was predicted winner by political analysts and polls. Truman was going to get buried. The Chicago Daily Tribune went to press early election night putting newspapers on the street bearing the headline: Dewey Defeats Truman. H. V. Kaltenborn was the radio man of the day. No TV back then. A much respected radio commentator. He had a very distinguishable voice. Before the results were all in, he went on national radio and announced Dewey the victor.
Truman got them all!
Truman the farm boy who became President. No college education. However a man of honesty and integrity as the nation knew.
After his victory, Truman announced he was going to Key West on vacation.
My life was fortunate to cross paths 3 times with Truman. The most memorable occurred my last year of law school at Syracuse.
Truman was coming to visit the University. Two days. Don’t be shocked. Syracuse was known as a Democratic bastion at the time. The visit was several years after Truman finally left office.
A private luncheon with Truman was scheduled for the purportedly “twelve outstanding students on campus”. As luck would have it, I was selected to represent the law school.
Even better, seating for the 12 plus the former President was at 2 round tables. Six at one, 7 at the other.
Seating was at the discretion of the University. My name card was immediately to the right of Truman. I got to sit next to him for a good 2 hours.
Most of Truman’s comments had to do with the 1948 election. He had a copy of the Chicago newspaper which he had exhibited to us. He also had a recording of Kaltenborn’s words that Truman had lost. He talked about both with a chuckle in his voice. He got ’em!
On November 1, 1950, an attempt was made on Truman’s life. The President and his wife were living in Blair House at the time. The White House was being remodeled.
Around 2 in the afternoon, 2 Puerto Ricans who supported Puerto Rico independence ran up the front steps and reached the front door of Blair House. Shooting along the way.
One assassin was killed as was 1 Secret Service officer.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman were upstairs and never in danger.
The assassins’ acts did not make sense. Truman was openly for Puerto Rican autonomy.
The surviving assassin was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. Truman commuted his sentence to life imprisonment.
Trump has become a Florida resident. Cut the ropes that bound him to New York.
No one seems unhappy. The Mayor and Governor in effect said good riddance to bad rubbish.
I can understand Trump wanting to leave. He has been for many years unpopular in New York. The City only gave him 10 percent of  the Presidential vote. Additionally, he has never been accepted by the elite, socially, or those in politrics on a personal basis. His reputation and personality make such understandable.
Even as President, he has not been assimilated by New York City’s bigwigs.
Can you imagine, not wanting the President of the U.S. as a friend!
There will be no unhappiness in Mudville that Trump has opted to become a resident of Florida. His residence Mar-a-Lago.
I do not see any social benefit to Trump living full time in Mar-a-Lago. Palm Beach is a seasonal community. A warm weather venue. Otherwise, the homes are empty. Who will he socialize with?
Many retire for tax reasons to Florida. With his income coming from many areas and sources, it will not be easy for a good portion of his income to go tax free.
The Sistine Chapel. Beauty beyond description. As if the hand of God painted the ceiling rather than Michelangelo.
The Sistine Chapel with its newly painted ceiling was opened to the public on November 1, 1512.
Thirty five years ago, I was fortunate to visit the Sistine Chapel. My then wife, children and my parents with me. I was in awe!
The Sistine Chapel was crowded. Shoulder to shoulder, body to body. Heads tipped up.
Michelangelo’s ceiling frescoes took several years to complete. The most famous The Creation of Adam. The arms of God and Adam stretched toward each other almost touching.
God is in His Heaven in the ceiling as conceived and painted by Michelangelo.
At one point, my father and I were standing in the middle of the Chapel. My father look at me and told me, did not ask, “What’s the big deal?” I smiled. I had no response.
I could not blame Dad. It was hot with all those bodies crushed together, painful for the neck, tiring to be on one’s feet since it took forever to reach the Chapel through a long narrow crowded hallway.
Many years ago, I wrote an article for KONK Life spelling out how prisoners were entitled to the very best medical care. Some what difficult to understand when you realize how many persons in the U.S. cannot afford health care. Yet we provide it free to those who have broken the law.
The scenario is the result of the U.S. Supreme Court case Estelle v. Gamble decided in the 1960’s.
The situation comes to mind this morning because of Steven Hayes. He is serving 6 life sentences in a Pennsylvania jail. Sentenced because of his part in the murder of Hawke-Petit and her 2 daughters. He and an accomplice perpetrated a home invasion and brutally killed the three. First with beatings. Then dousing with gasoline. Finally setting the whole house on fire.
Hayes has been receiving hormone therapy in prison as part of a gender transition. He says he is in reality a female.
A Pennsylvania statute limits medications per inmate to $600 a month. It prohibits/refuses to pay for any surgery related to gender modification.
I am not aware whether the statute not allowing any payment for gender modification has been tested in a federal court. I would assume the Estelle decision would override it.
The reason behind the Estelle decision is that prisons/the state is required to provide the “very best medical care.” Translated means a right to adequate medical care. Failure to so provide constitutes a violation of the “cruel and unusual punishment” clause of the 8th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The filming of the Rose Tattoo began this day in 1954 at a house on Duncan Street. Two doors from Tennessee Williams’ home. Tennessee Williams wrote the play which was the basis for the movie.
Change the clock again. Do not forget to turn your clock back one hour tonight before going to bed.
Enjoy your day!

Rose the queen - chapter 1
Yet aNOTHER original hahahahaha. have fun guys
----------
Chapter 1 - The Beginning
There was, long time ago, a kingdom. This kingdom was filled with magical, wonderful creatures, and it was ruled by a very nice woman, called Rose, a brilliant witch, that used her powers to help all of her people. She was the prettiest woman in the entire kingdom: her hair was as brown as the dirt, her skin was rosy and alive, her lips were pink like the petals of a flower, her body was curvy, and her eyes were black, as black as the night.
One day, the young woman fell in love. She married a very nice man called Victor. Victor wasn’t the most handsome man in the kingdom, or the regions around, but she fell in love with him nevertheless. He had a wonderful smile, a great sense of humor, he gave her flowers when she was happy and hugged her when she was scared. He had been the animal caregiver for as long as she remembered, and being a few years older than her, they had always played together, even before the royal family died and left her as the only heir. He was tall, not very strong, not very thin, curvy, had brown eyes and hair, tan skin from the constant sun.
When they got married, the whole kingdom was unhappy with the marriage. The men said Victor had poisoned her to get her fortune as the future king. The women said Rose deserved someone better than a dirty, common man like him. Victor wasn’t a wizard like she was. He was a common human. But she didn’t care. She loved him and she would marry whom she loved.
However, there was a traitor in her kingdom that went by the name of Alexander, who more than usually contacted the kingdom next to hers, where a very evil wizard ruled. This man, called Lucius, had wanted to marry the queen since he had been a teenager. Before his family had died, they had made a deal with her family, assuring that she would be his as soon as she had completed eighteen years old. However, her parents died when she was sixteen and she broke the deal as soon as she became queen. So Lucius had to accept his defeat, but he was simply waiting for when he saw the possibility of getting her to marry him.
At hearing the news that Rose was married with Victor, however, he decided he was done waiting, and armed his soldiers to go to her kingdom and fight for her love. The news were heard by Rose’s kingdom and soon, the wise man that helped her with all the decisions she had to make told her to run. The man’s name was Olivier. Hesitating, she ran away with two royal guards and one of her chaperones. The guards were Steve, a forty eight year old wizard that had been with the royal family since he was eighteen, tall, green eyes, black hair, strong and with master in sword fight; and Leonard, a twenty four year old human, one of the newest and best guards, yellow hair, blue eyes, strong body, not very tall and master in archery. The chaperone was Alice, Rose’s best friend, a wonderful girl that was Rose’s age – twenty two – and had been her friend since she was born. She had strawberry blond hair, hazel eyes, pale skin and she was very thin, and she was also human.
The four ran away at Olivier’s orders, and Victor stayed behind to fight for the kingdom. Rose ran away, not knowing if she would ever see her husband again, and taking with her a child she still didn’t know that existed. And the four ran in horses through the forest, reaching another kingdom after a week and asking for stay. The king of that kingdom, an old wise man called Mathew, let them stay in the conditions of servants, which the queen accepted easily, but the 0ther three disagreed a bit. In the end, they stayed, and eight months later, the queen had a wonderful baby girl, a witch, that she named Victoria, in tribute of her husband.
That was also close to the date when she found out her kingdom had been taken, and that Lucius was now looking everywhere for her. She told Mathew about what was happening, and he told her not to fret, that he would protect them as if they were his own family. Mathew was already of age and didn’t have any heirs or wife, so he decided to watch Rose for a few years, until he was sure she was good enough to be left in his place.
And with the protection of the king, she didn’t need to worry anymore, and lived there until her dying days. The end.
“End?” the girl asked, her eyes wide as she stared up at her father. He chuckled softly before nodding, gently pulling the blankets over the six year old’s body. The girl frowned, shaking her head. “This can’t be the end papa!”
“Well, it is Vicky” Leonard said softly, before leaning down and kissing her head. “Now it is time for you to sleep. Alright?” he asked, but the small girl crossed her arms and stared at him angrily.
“I don’t want this to be the end. I want to find out if mom found her husband again” she said, sadly, pouting to her dad. He gave her a soft and sad smile before kissing her head.
“One day sweetie. One day” he said, and then stood up, smiling a bit brighter to her. “Now good night” he repeated, walking to the cabinet and blowing the candle off before walking out of the room and closing the door. Outside, Rose waited, smiling to her new husband.
“Thank you for being so good to her” she mumbled, leaning in and giving him a soft kiss on the lips before walking off with him next to her to the kitchen. There, Alice had just finished serving their food for the night: fresh apple juice, chicken and bread. It looked delicious.
“Well, dinner is served” she said, smiling to the other two before placing her hand on her waist and frowning. “Where is Steve?”
“He told me he was going to hunt for the night, to relax a little bit” Leonard said, chuckling softly. “The man is almost a sage and he keeps pretending to be in his twenties” he said, making the two women laugh with him. The three sat down, getting ready to eat, when the door opened and Steve walked inside, smirking and showing the stag he had hunt.
“Hello family” he said, before placing the dead animal together with the others to be salted later. He hummed contently when he saw the food on his plate and sat down, nodding to the others. “What a wonderful dinner, Alice”
“You’re welcome, old man” she said, smiling and sipping on her juice. He chuckled, shaking his head before starting to eat and being followed by the others.
“My princess is already asleep?” he asked, and Rose nodded slowly, giving him a soft sigh.
“Yes. Leonard told her my story. Again” she said, looking at her husband who just stared back, eyes wide.
“I thought you liked when I told that story” he said, and she sighed, shaking her head slowly before staring back at her food.
“The problem is that it isn’t a story. And sometimes I just miss Victor too much” she mumbled, and Leonard sighed, taking her hand and kissing her fingers gently.
“I know, my love. And I’m sorry we were never able to find him. But at least now you are safe and you have us, correct?” he asked, and Rose smiled, nodding slowly while staring down at their hands.
“Yes I do. And I love you three more than anything in this entire world” she mumbled, before smiling at all of them. Steve, Alice and Leonard smiled back, all of them calm and relaxed and feeling their best. For now, everything was fine, and they could live in harmony.
For you see, the world was divided in two: the humans and the wizards.
The humans, the younger race, were the ones that, for some unknown reason, could not have any type of powers. They were simply humans, and though some of them had different abilities, they weren’t considered powers. They were also more vulnerable and died earlier on, around sixty.
The wizards, the older race, were the ones that, for some unknown reason, could have any type of powers. Their powers were, at first, mainly mental and elemental, either being able to control human and animal brains or being able to control one of the main four elements: water, earth, air or fire. They were also more resistant, usually being able to live to their one hundreds.
These two races were categorized as the ‘dominating races’, and they lived in harmony. In so much harmony that some humans dared to call the wizards ‘gods’ or ‘divinities’. Some wizards took advantage of that and became kings, some others became dictators, and some decided to stay simple and help their communities, letting a human lead them.
Obviously that, eventually, humans and wizards started to get married and have children with each other, and those children were categorized as humans or wizards depending of their abilities. If they had powers, they were wizards. If they didn’t, they were humans. Sometimes, two humans could have a wizard baby.
The human mix made the new wizards be born with different powers, and slowly, there were thousands of types of powers from where, before, there were only five, which made harder to know if a child was a wizard or a human. But eventually, the newest powers were cataloged and these kids found themselves categorized.
And after centuries of peace, the Killers appeared.
The Killers were groups of humans who found out that, sometimes, by eating the heart of a wizard, they could steal their powers. It didn’t work every time, but the times it did made these people become wizards. Most of times, human kings, to protect their kingdoms from any type of wizard attack, used Killers. However, no one wanted to be friends with Killers. They were murderers, they were evil, and their souls were corrupted, which meant that they could not find peace in the afterlife, just like the wizards and humans that messed up with black magic.
Or, at least, that was what humans and wizards taught their children.
Once upon a time, there was this very loyal royal guard from a very distant kingdom, a human, called Anthony. He was strong, had red hair, blue eyes and pale skin, around his twenty two years old, a master in the art of sword fighting. He had a wife, the beautiful Lisa, a potter who had lived with her parents in a small farm until she met and married Anthony. She was also a red haired, blue-eyed woman, as pale as the moon, thin. She was nineteen years old when they got married.
One day, Anthony was called by his friend John. A war had started. He told Lisa to protect herself, and save the baby she was carrying, before he left for the fight. He did his best defending the castle, but all the efforts were in vain. The king had been killed, together with his wife. Their baby, however, was still alive. Anthony knew there was no way the baby would survive for himself inside the castle, so he ran inside and got the baby, running off with the two years old prince in his arms.
Anthony ran to his house, in hopes of finding Lisa well and leave with her and the prince on a horse somewhere very far away from there. However, when he arrived, all he found was a pile of ashes. The enemy had already reached his house, and there was no way Lisa had survived. He left the kingdom as fast as he could, holding the baby in his arms and crying all the way to a small village.
             It was a Killers’ village.
Anthony wasn’t a wizard, and neither was the baby he held in his arms. The baby boy, called Philip, was the son of a wizard and a human, being born completely human. Which, at the moment, was incredibly welcome.
Anthony talked to the leader of the village, explaining the situation, and they let him live with them as long as he could find a wizard and become a Killer himself. Anthony agreed for Philip’s sake, and spent the next two weeks hunting wizards. After he was able to kill one, he took the man to the tribe and ate his heart in front of the leader. Both the leader and Anthony were pleased to know it had worked, and now Anthony had the powers of that old wizard.
The leader welcomed him to the tribe. His name was Jeremy, a fifty something man with the palest skin, dark eyes, black hair and strong body. Jeremy took Anthony and Philip under his wing and taught the guard everything he needed to know about being a Killer.
Not long after, Anthony became Jeremy’s right arm, and Philip was brought up in the best way possible inside the tribe.
             The end.
“I love this story” the eight year boy mumbled, pulling the blankets over half of his face, leaving only his eyes out as he stared at his dad. “Do you think you’ll ever get revenge from that evil man that killed Lisa?”
Anthony sighed softly, before smiling to Philip, caressing his head and shrugging softly.
“I don’t know. I hope so, but I’m not sure. You see, revenge is not a good thing. You shouldn’t let your actions be dictated by those types of emotions. However, you should use them at your advantage. Now, sleep” he said, standing up while the boy nodded.
“Good night dad” he mumbled, and Anthony smiled.
“Good night, my prince” he said, before taking the lantern out of the room and closing the door behind himself. He walked through the narrow hallways before arriving at the meeting room, where Jeremy and a few others waited for him. “I’m here”
“Finally Tony!” Jeremy spoke, smiling to him and tapping the chair next to him. “We were waiting for you. There is a new plan Cameron would like to discuss” he said, and Anthony nodded, sitting on his chair and staring at the man in front of him. Cameron was thirty, skinny, weak, but incredibly smart.
“Hello” he said, and Anthony nodded. “Well, the plan is simple. There is a wizard-only community close by and I think we should go over and take a look. There are around twenty wizards living there, in which three are children and two are elderly. Most of them have basic powers, but their leader has the power to heal himself and others he touches” he said, and all of the man in the council nodded.
“We are in bigger number and we have better powers. This one will be a breeze” Marcos, another man from the council said, making Anthony rise one eyebrow.
“It sounds easy, but last time we had this much confidence, we lost three of our own. We need to be careful” he assured, and all the others agreed, including Marcos.
“So, what is the plan?” Harry asked, tilting his head as he cleaned his knife. Anthony smirked before leaning in, taking a map out of his pocket and placing it on the table.
“It’s easy. Don’t worry. We just have to work out the groups”
For you see, normally, two people like Philip and Victoria were never meant to meet. He, a prince raised as a murderer, and she, a princess raised as a craftswoman, were never meant to even know of the other’s existence.
However, destiny is a very funny thing, and no one can stop it from doing what it likes.
Not even the worst or the best wizard that could possibly exist.

Dreams and Visions (35/51): Modern Tales
Time Period: BBC
Chapter Summary:  Some modern headcanons, since I finally FINISHED THEM OMIGOSH MYSTRADE WHY YOU SO ANNOYING. A couple NSFW
Read it on AO3
Johnlock
John has terrible memories of being alone in a hospital, and refuses to let Sherlock be in them by himself. Sherlock thinks visiting hours are dull. They generally end up sleeping on a cot because the nurses give up.
(NSFW): When they do start having sex, Sherlock mistakenly thinks that they are supposed to be having sex every night[1]. John agrees (though he doesn’t need it that often at all). They make it just over a week before they’re both too exhausted and cranky to cuddle, let alone have sex. The misunderstanding is eventually resolved, they both laugh about it and from then on they make love only when they both want to. There’s plenty of other things to do, after all.
Sherlock still rants about it sometimes.
Even before they got together John was determined to find Sherlock a book that he would enjoy and not toss away. He started reading his favourite books aloud, with varying amounts of response from Sherlock. John almost gave up until he awoke from a two-day coma to Sherlock’s deep, shaky voice reading The Hobbit. Tolkien, in all his triumphs and shortcomings (Sherlock has fought people over Samwise Gamgee) becomes one of their favourite entertainment sources: their first anniversary they watched the entirety of the Extended Editions. The quotes on their wedding rings are from Sam’s speech.
They never go to bed angry. They’re both too scared of waking up to an empty bed.
John
John discovered he was bi because of a boy named Victor Trevor. He never shares the story with Sherlock, or he would know that Sherlock solved his murder.
Two years after his marriage, John receives a call from his sister. Harry calls from a rehab clinic and shares some stories about their childhood that John was too young to remember, stories that make some of her behaviour make more sense. It’s not an excuse, and it’s a long road to reconciliation, but the Watsons do, eventually, start to feel like siblings.
On their marriage certificate, it shows that John changed his name to John Hamish Watson Holmes. He keeps his own name for professional reasons, but Sherlock calls him ‘Mr. Holmes’ as often as he can.
John has been keeping an album since just after he moved into 221B. When he has a quiet day, he looks through it, remembering that all the people in it are family, and he marvels at how lucky he's become.
Sherlock
Sherlock first sees the term demisexual in the fanfiction bookmarks of a kidnapping victim[2]. He deletes the definition. Then he meets John, and suddenly that word explains everything.
Sherlock doesn’t truly approve of Mycroft and Greg’s relationship, but that’s mainly because he now has to share both of his favourite people that are not John or Mrs. Hudson. It’s a minor comfort that he’s sharing them with each other.
Sherlock stopped taking drugs after he and John started dating. He didn’t need them anymore; there was plenty of rush from being in love.
Sherlock keeps his wedding ring almost obsessively clean. He’s delighted to realize that John does the same.
Mystrade
The reactions to John and Sherlock’s relationship were as varied as they were passionate. When people found out about Mycroft and Greg, on the other hand, there were only two. It was either “didn’t know you were gay,” or “you two match”.
A relationship between two workaholic, emotionally mellow men doesn’t sound like it will last. As a matter of fact, Greg actually begins planning to retire on time, and Mycroft learns to be romantic.
There were occasional threats to Greg because of Mycroft’s work. Mycroft always ensured that anyone making such threats had to apologize to Greg personally before they were…dealt with.
Greg’s ex-wife finds herself in constant financial troubles and her hairdressers keep ignoring her directions. Greg finds this quite sweet…and a little alarming.
Greg
Greg has always tried to go with the flow (which is why he can handle Sherlock so well). So when Mycroft asked him if their regular coffee could perhaps be held at a more romantic location, he didn’t panic or even ask if he was sure. He could learn to love Mycroft. What he learned instead was that he already did.
It takes a lot of smarts to be a Detective Inspector. What takes more is being married to a Holmes, and learning when a case file is an apology and a request to close the curtains is a hint to go to bed. He learns.
Greg loves music and poetry, but he’s utterly rubbish at writing his own. He can, however, appreciate Mycroft’s attempts fully.
Greg’s never been too keen on sex (that was part of his troubles with his ex-wife). To his relief, Mycroft isn’t either. When they do sleep together, it’s passionate and loving and everything it’s supposed to be…but honestly, one time can hold them for months.
Mycroft
Mycroft loves labels; he organizes, he files, it’s what he does. On the other hand, he refuses to find a label for his own orientation. He doesn’t like the idea of filing a part of himself away—he likes the idea of analyzing how he feels about Greg even less.
When Mycroft starts trying to exercise, it’s not to impress Greg. It’s to give them a few more years together.
In a moment of sentimentality, Mycroft buys Greg a sculpture of a goldfish. Greg doesn’t get it until Sherlock explains.
Mycroft is secretly delighted by his desk job, not the least because it means he can wear his wedding ring without worrying about losing it.
Real Office Romance (Molly/Mike)
Mike and Molly become the hottest topic of discussion at St. Bart’s. It changes to ‘ohmigod did you see Sherlock Holmes punch out that bloke for saying Molly settled?’
Mike never imagined that someone like Molly could love someone like him—ordinary, steady, sweet and far too fond of football. Molly doesn’t understand how it took her so long to realize she wanted him.
Lily and Jacob are their only blood children, but when the twins are eight they decide to become foster parents. Sherlock and Kitty find children among the Homeless Network, and a little bureaucratic meddling means their house is full of kids for years. Mike retires to become a stay-at-home father.
Mike is insanely proud of Molly. Molly is insanely proud of Mike. When they get drunk, they try to outdo each other with praise.
Molly
Molly enjoys being a mother, and she enjoys her job. She juggles both efficiently, and both her work and her children are fully aware that she loves them equally.
Before her mother dies, Molly gets up the courage to ask her about how her father died. She’s not at all surprised to hear her mother made a desperate attempt to protect her. She’s just surprised that the police let them go.
Molly continues to sneak Sherlock into the morgue. Her bosses pretend they don’t know what she’s doing.
Molly never liked Jim Moriarty. She used him entirely to make Sherlock jealous.
Mike
Mike had resigned himself to a single life well before he introduced John to Sherlock. He just didn’t see why anyone would put up with him.
Despite his joke to John, Mike loves to teach, and he’ll often borrow John’s case stories to illustrate different aspects of medicine. He had Sherlock in as a guest speaker once. Once.
Mike proposed to Molly in the middle of the night, when he woke up from a dream that involved licorice, pink elephants and a rather large tuba. To this day they can’t figure it out, but those all made their way into their wedding favours.
Mike never thought he’d be a good dad. His seventeen children, two blood and fifteen adopted, say otherwise.
Mrs. Hudson
Mrs. Hudson was well aware that Sherlock and John wanted two bedrooms when they first moved in. She was also well aware that they wouldn’t need them long.
Martha Sissons was very much in love with her husband, and even though she disapproved of the cartel she would have stood by him. It was only when she caught Frank with another woman, and found out about the rest of them, that she wished she’d listened to her best friend.
Despite her own experiences, Mrs. Hudson enjoys attending weddings. So far her favourite has been Mike and Molly’s, though Kitty and Stan’s was wildly fun.
Mrs. Hudson considers herself the matriarch of her Baker Street Clan. Mrs. Holmes has no objection.
Moriarty
Jim Moriarty wasn’t on Carl Powers’ swim team. He was, however, on the chess team that went up the same week.
Jim never let himself love Sebastian Moran. Why love something you knew you had to throw away, no matter how loyal?
Jim was not in love with Sherlock Holmes. But he wanted him.
Jim is a psychopath. He’s been off the charts of every test. Sometimes, just for fun, he’ll try to get a normal person’s answers. He’s only managed it once.
[1] I thought this was true when I was younger, and I was utterly horrified by the idea.
[2] Demisexuality, for those who are unfamiliar, is an orientation where you are not attracted to anyone without first having an emotional connection. I identify as demi, and I found the definition in a fanfic. It’s called ‘Bedtime for 221B’ by akisura12 on fanfiction.net; the chapter in question is chapter 5, ‘Asexual’, if anyone’s interested.
