Today is a very bittersweet day for me. Today is my dad's birthday, only he passed away 2 and a half years ago. We had such a good relationship, he always supported me in whatever I wanted to do, was always there to celebrate my wins and help me up after my falls. But above all, he always wanted me to be happy. I had always wanted to move out to California and it was only after he passed, one of my sisters encouraged me to go (which luckily Beatz agreed to). He knew that I was always such an animal lover and how much every single pet the family had ever meant to me--whether it was a bird, a fish, a turtle, a frog, a hamster, a cat, or a dog. On his birthday exactly 2 years ago (just shortly after we moved to California) I rescued Rusty, our beloved dog in a busy intersection. He jumped into my arms and didn't let go for hours, and since that day has made it his sole mission to be my protector. All 9lbs of him! 🤣 I had been particularly sad that day since it was the 1st year without my dad, and there was this little guy who sprung out of nowhere was just waiting to be loved. Since then, he has brought nothing but happiness into our lives, and I can't help but think my dad sent him to us. So happy birthday dad, I love and miss you eternally.
