TEAM ZRCN ARC 4 CHAPTER 17
Team ZRCN and Helia, team up once more to finish Belleza Rossi once and for all.
Zelde
It was funny how certain circumstances put the unlikeliest of allies together. Looking around the room, Zelde marvelled at the strange group that had come together. She couldn't have imagined that she would find herself in the same room as one of the Rossi sisters, much less in the form of allies.
According to Morgan, Bianca had quickly defected when Calantha had been threatened, even going so far as to threaten Belleza herself when Calantha had been injured.
Poor Calantha was in the worst state of all, currently lying on one of the beds, being checked over by Theodora Crest with Bianca hovering in the background. The Rossi’s father was also nearby but didn’t really seem to have grasped what was going on, humming contentedly as he fiddled with a small device.
By the sound of it, Calantha was lucky to be alive, with the resuscitation efforts of Morgan and Bianca being the reason she was still breathing. Occasionally, Bianca would tear her eyes away from her sister and look at Uriah, who was sitting on the floor cuffed to one of the beds thrashing about trying to get free. He had been the one to strike Calantha and leave her in that state and Bianca looked like she would not forget anytime soon.
Zelde found herself sitting on another of the spare beds with Cordovan. Opposite them sat Callaway and Rosie who had been rescued from their captivity by the two of them with the help of Euphemia Crest. Neela's sister Mira and a man named Lunick had also been rescued from captivity. Lunick was sat on a bed speaking in hushed voices with Laurel and Biggs - whom Zelde had since been told were actually named Nerine and Jesper.
Mira was currently sitting not far from where Calantha was being treated. Compared to the other former captives, she seemed to be in a sorry state with a black eye, chipped tooth, and various bruises and small cuts lining her arms and shoulders. According to Mira herself, she had taken most of the abuse from their captors, ensuring that Callaway and Rosie were unharmed. Her actions might have been a little foolish on account of her having no aura, but Zelde could not thank her enough for shielding the two of them.
Zelde watched Callaway and Rosie quietly before she felt Cordovan bump her knee with his own. She looked at him briefly before he gestured with his head towards the approaching Euphemia.
The older woman carried a plastic cup of water with her, handing it to Zelde before continuing on. "For your brother."
Zelde held it in her hands for a moment before turning and extending it to Callaway. He smiled appreciatively but shook his head. "I'm fine," He assured her. Theodora had checked him over along with Rosie and Mira and already confirmed they were alright. Still, that didn't stop Zelde from fussing over him. He had been held longer than Rosie and Mira, and though he carried no bruises or healed injuries like the elder Oxford sibling, he seemed tired.
"Drink," Zelde said, which was less of a question and more of an instruction.
Callaway pulled a face but took the cup without arguing. He finished the water before crinkling it in his hand.
"I cannot tell you how glad we are that you're all alright," Cordovan said, smiling softly at Rosie in particular. Zelde had not forgotten the breakdown he had following the explosion at the university and the truth he had revealed about his and Rosie's relationship. Half-siblings. It was no wonder he had been so affected by her capture. As they sat there, Cordovan's hand found hers. Zelde did not know if it was intentional or not, but she looked down at their hands and then leaned into him.
Callaway and Rosie exchanged a glance. "Are you two a couple now?" Callaway asked.
"Eww, gross," Rosie said in a childlike manner.
At their words, Cordovan looked down and realised his hand was resting atop Zelde's. He stared at their hands for a long moment but did not move it away.
"We haven't really had time to discuss what we are given everything that has happened," Cordovan confessed. His eyes met hers for a moment and his hard features softened. "I like to think that we are though."
Zelde's cheeks warmed. As he said, they hadn't really discussed where their relationship now stood following their kiss at the dance and confession of feelings for each other. There hadn't been time and with everything that happened afterwards it hadn't seemed appropriate. Even now, in this secure room within the Rossi's base, Cordovan's words seemed a little out of place but Zelde was glad for them.
"I think the same too," Zelde responded, sharing his sentiment that she thought they were a couple. Cordovan smiled at her. A genuine warm and wide smile that she often did not see from her teammate.
"You two are so cute!!" Rosie gushed. Her enthusiasm broke the two of them apart and Cordovan looked at his sister with an amused face.
"I thought you said this was 'gross' before?" He pointed out.
"Well, it still would be if you started kissing," Rosie responded very matter-of-factly. "Are you two going to get married and have babies now?"
"Rosie!" Cordovan snapped, blushing fiercely.
Callaway laughed out loud and Zelde couldn't help but emit a small chuckle herself. Their conversation was promptly interrupted by Morgan catching their attention.
"Heads up, Cherry is on the way back with your teammates," Morgan told them.
Cordovan nodded to show they had understood. They were only kept waiting for a minute or two before they heard a knock on the door. Euphemia turned to look at the door, her expression dour, before slowly moving towards it. She opened the door and let three figures in.
Zelde was a bit slow to turn around but hastened her pace when she saw some of the shocked expressions in the room. Cherry stood to the left, sizing up Euphemia, and beside her, bloodied and shell-shocked were Xanthos and Neela.
"What happened?" Morgan asked, approaching swiftly but hanging back when he acknowledged the blood again. Zelde and Cordovan were on their feet now too, mirroring each other's concerned expressions as they came to listen to what had happened.
"It was my fault!" Neela suddenly blurted out. Whatever had happened, she sounded quite distressed. Xanthos touched her arm soothingly.
"We encountered Maia as you know," Cherry explained. "She fought the three of us and we managed to disarm her and break her aura. She was on her knees otherwise defeated when I got through to you, Morgan. Foolishly I let my guard down and looked away. I was distracted and didn't hear anything until it was too late. Maia had managed to grab her weapon and would have likely attacked us if not for Neela. She reacted swiftly to defend herself and us. Unfortunately, the wounds she inflicted on Maia were too severe and she passed." A few gasps echoed in the room, and Zelde looked back to see Elio and Bianca listening with particular interest. "It was an accident," Cherry said in a softer tone.
Zelde was about to say something in response when Uriah's voice pierced the air.
"What did you say about Maia?" He questioned sharply, looking around for answers. "My sister, is she…?"
"She's dead," Bianca confirmed for him, suddenly appearing near the handcuffed man and looming over him. She had seemed like one of the more reasonable members of the Rossi's group but as she stood over Uriah there was something malicious in her expression, and more chillingly something joyful too. Bianca leaned towards him. "I hope you feel as I felt when I thought you'd killed my sister."
Uriah looked alarmed by her words. Zelde thought he might have fought back and argued, as his earlier behaviour suggested he would, but the news of his sister's death had defeated him. Satisfied her words had cut deep, Bianca walked away to hover near Calantha again.
“Times like this I am reminded of exactly who Bianca is related to,” Euphemia mused, watching the white-haired woman leave. “Behind all her formalities lies a cold heart deep down.”
“Uriah did nearly kill her sister,” Morgan pointed out.
“True,” Euphemia conceded briefly, before continuing, “but she also survived. Maia did not. I’m not excusing his behaviour or that of his sister but as an older sibling myself, I’m not sure I’d have appreciated someone gloating of their possible deaths in my face.” Euphemia looked towards her sister and stiffened slightly, her expression soon shifting into a grimace. “I certainly never Miho get away with talking about Ulysses. Even if I got a broken horn for my troubles.”
With those words lingering in the air, Euphemia moved aside, leaned against a nearby wall and crossed her arms over her broad chest. She didn't linger too far from the door, likely ready to intervene should any of the remaining unaccounted Rossi allies try their luck with the door. They wouldn't have been able to break the lock by conventional methods but Zelde would not have put it past them to try other ways of breaking in.
Although Zelde still found Bianca one of the more tolerable members of the Rossi’s group, Euphemia’s words had certainly given her food for thought. After everything that had happened to Calantha, Zelde couldn’t truly begrudge the woman for being a little cold towards him, if the situations were reversed and it was Callaway instead of Calantha, Zelde knew she'd have had a few choice words for him, but the way Bianca had acted around him was exceedingly harsh. Perhaps it was just the heightened emotions of the situation, or perhaps Euphemia wasn’t too far off the mark when she said Bianca had a cold heart.
Zelde was pulled from her thoughts by the approach of Theodora Crest. The bespectacled woman stopped before the group and looked at Neela's bloodied hands unflinchingly.
"Come and wash your hands," Theodora said, gesturing for Neela to follow her. The blue-haired woman followed without arguing but Theodora stopped and urged Xanthos to come too, noting the small amount of blood he had on his hands.
As their teammates were led to a small en suite at the back of the room, Zelde found herself moving towards Elio and Helia with the rest of the assembled group, having been waved over by Elio. The only person who didn't come with them was Euphemia who was still leaning against the wall.
Elio had gotten pretty badly beaten when he and Helia had encountered Nerine and Jesper. The assailants had eventually relented and whilst Helia had walked away practically unscathed, Elio barely had any aura left. The blonde man was currently sitting up on another bed in the room, looking quite alert despite how worn down he had been from his previous battle.
“How are you holding up, Cher?” He would ask when the group stopped before him. He extended a hand out for her to hold and she reached out and gave him a reassuring squeeze.
“I’ve been better,” Cherry confessed, releasing his hand. “Took a few nasty hits between both fights and my aura broke so I’m really feeling it. Losing Wisteria and Miho and then Maia on top of that…yeah, I’m not going to lie Elio, it hasn’t been a great day for us.” Cherry shook her head and then looked to the en suite, the door of which was ajar allowing them to see Xanthos and Neela inside. “They’re taking things rough. Especially Neela.”
“Not much we can do now, unfortunately,” Elio said sympathetically. “When this is all over, we’ll ensure they get the support they need to talk things through won’t we?” He looked to his fellow Mob Ops members as he said that, to which they both nodded their heads. “Now, to why I called you all over here. Firstly, let’s start with this.”
The man proceeded to pull his scroll out and showed them what appeared to be a message from Wren. By what was written it seemed she and some “support” were inbound.
“When did that come through?” Cherry asked. “The connection is pretty spotty in here, I’m surprised a message from outside reached you.”
“It was about an hour ago,” Morgan responded. “Bianca has since confirmed that their aerial radar has picked up an incoming Atlesian ship. Based on the speed they were supposedly travelling, they should be here soon probably within the next hour if my estimations are correct.”
“Well that’s good,” Cherry said. “What else did you want to talk about, Elio? You made it seem like there were multiple things.”
Elio and Helia shared a glance. “We still have Belleza and Sparrow unaccounted for. Now, we could wait for Wren and her backup to arrive, but we know from prior experience that Belleza is a wily opponent and will probably try and make a run for it if she can, if she hasn't already.”
“What’s going on?” Xanthos asked, interrupting the flow of conversation as he and Neela returned. Cordovan took it upon himself to catch them up to speed.
“What about Sparrow?” Cherry asked.
“We already know from prior intel that Sparrow tends to more or less disappear into thin air. Given the circumstances, we shouldn’t waste time looking for them and focus on efforts on capturing Belleza,” Elio responded. “Bianca has already agreed to lend us her scroll to track where Belleza is in this place - apparently, they modified their scrolls to have a tracking app that can be activated when necessary - our main issue lies in which of us should apprehend her.”
Zelde realised he was referring to the Mob Ops with that statement, what with all three of them in varying states of health after fighting their way through this place.
“I’ve already agreed to help,” Helia announced. “I’m a trained huntress, not a civilian, I know how to handle myself. Besides, I’m one of the few of us here who has all her aura.”
“What about us?” Xanthos piped up, looking between his teammates. “Could we help?”
Morgan looked uncertain. “I don’t know, that’s a potentially big risk.”
“Morgan,” Elio cut him off. “It was a big risk in them even coming here. Besides, it’s not like some of them haven’t already fought their way through some of the Rossi’s people. And they won’t be alone they’ll have Helia with them too.”
Xanthos had volunteered their team, but ultimately it was Zelde who had the deciding opinion. She already knew Cordovan was keen to fight, and by his quick offer Xanthos was too, but she was uncertain about Neela who was currently looking down at her feet. “I’d certainly be amenable to the idea of helping,” Zelde confirmed with a nod. Her silver eyes looked at Neela. “Perhaps Neela could sit this one out though.”
“What?” Neela’s head shot up swiftly. “I can help!”
“You don’t have to, Neela,” Zelde told her reassuringly. “You’ve already been a great help so far and after everything you’ve been through I’m not forcing you to come.”
“I want to come,” Neela said, lifting her head.
“Only if you are certain,” Zelde said, peering into Neela’s eyes. Despite her posture and words, Neela’s eyes seemed to suggest she was a little more uncertain.
“I’m certain,” Neela responded. “Let’s go get her.”
“Well there you have it,” Elio said, glancing between the group. “Looks like we have a plan.”
Zelde noted that Cherry and Morgan seemed less enthusiastic about this plan, but given where the group stood currently, it was one of the better ones they had.
The five of them approached Bianca, who was still hovering near Calantha. Theodora was also nearby, monitoring one of the machines that were hooked up to Calantha.
"You're going after, Belle?" Bianca asked, lifting her head to look at the group.
They all nodded and Helia stepped forward. "You mentioned earlier to me and Elio that you'd lend us your scroll to track her."
Bianca looked at Helia's hand and then proceeded to retrieve her scroll. She tapped a few buttons on the screen before handing it over. "Here you go," Bianca said. As the scroll was passed between hands, Zelde noted Bianca frowning slightly as she did, her eyes staring at the screen. "Strange…she doesn't appear to be moving."
Helia held the scroll in her hands and ZRCN all gathered to look around at the screen. "Where is this?" Helia asked.
"The cafeteria on the ground floor," Bianca responded. "Save for the kitchen, it was cleared out years ago, so I'm not sure why she'd be there."
"How do we get to it?"
"Once you leave the medical wing, take two lefts and then follow the corridor until you come out onto the atrium. The cafeteria will be opposite you, beyond a dried-up fountain," Bianca explained.
"Oh." Zelde looked to the left and saw Xanthos pulling a face. "Yeah, me and Neela know the place. Or well, we saw it from above at least. Before Miho and Wisteria, you know…fell."
Zelde grimaced at the choice of words her teammate had used. It was an accurate statement at least but perhaps not wholly appropriate given the seriousness of the situation.
With information gathered on Belleza, the five of them set out to finally bring Belleza Rossi down, words of luck being offered to them as they left. They followed Bianca’s previous instructions upon leaving the medical wing, taking two lefts, and then following the corridor until they reached the atrium. It was a large open space that Zelde and Cordovan had only recently passed by on a different angle when Euphemia had taken them to retrieve the captives.
In the centre of the vast space, sat a now dried-up water fountain, and sprawled over that fountain with blood, glass, and various other bits of debris scattered on the ground, was the broken and twisted body of Miho Ryuzaki. Zelde had known the woman had died from when Cherry had briefly updated Morgan on the situation before reuniting with the group in the medical wing and then Morgan had in turn relayed it to those present. Regardless of knowing what was waiting for them here, it still didn’t stop Zelde’s stomach from churning, and she bit her lip to stop the bile from rising in her throat.
Zelde was too busy fighting the urge not to vomit that she didn’t notice what - or rather who - wasn’t there. And it was only when Xanthos spoke up that she looked over the scene again.
“Where’s Wisteria?”
Again, Zelde remembered that they had been told Wisteria had shoved Miho over the edge of an above balcony, finishing off the red-haired woman at the cost of her remaining health. From how it had been described, Wisteria’s injuries had been quite severe too. Perhaps not to the extent of what Miho had suffered but enough that she wouldn’t have been able to move. So, that begged the question, where exactly had she gone?
“She can’t have gotten far,” Neela said. “Maybe she’s nearby.”
“Possibly,” Xanthos mused in agreement. “Though I doubt she’d have gotten far with those injuries. Should we look for her?”
He was looking at Helia, Zelde, and Cordovan as he said that. The three of them shared a glance before Helia shook her head. “Belleza is the priority,” Helia told them. “If she’s taken down quickly we can spare some time to look. Or we could try and get through to the others and let them know.”
Xanthos nodded but didn’t say anything else which allowed the group to move onwards to the cafeteria where Belleza Rossi awaited them within. Double metal doors were pushed open and the five of them stepped inside. Bianca had mentioned that much of the room had been cleared out and she wasn’t lying. Only a few plastic chairs remained stacked in a corner and other than the kitchen opposite them, there was nothing to suggest this had once been a cafeteria. It made Zelde question where the group ate but she assumed with how much this building had been repurposed over the years they had probably found another space to serve as a dining room.
They didn’t have to look hard for Belleza at least. The older woman was sitting on the floor with her back leaning against a servery. She had her arms resting on her knees, fiddling with something in her hands that Zelde couldn’t quite see, and her spear sat by the side of her.
When she heard the group enter, she lifted her head, red eyes burning into them. “I knew you’d come eventually,” She said with a smirk. “Who was it who ratted me out?”
“Your sister,” Cordovan responded.
“Bianca? Hmm, figured as much the little traitor,” Belleza huffed. “Happy to play along until it suited her.” The white-haired woman let out a bitter laugh before glaring at the group. “You should have stayed in Highpoint. You should kept your noses out of where they did not belong.”
“You forget yourself, Belleza,” Helia snapped. “You made it personal when you attacked my teammates. When you killed Alcyone. When you sent your robots to attack ZRCN. When you dragged us into this mess.”
Belleza merely blinked at Helia, unfazed by the blame being put on her.“I shouldn’t blame you, really,” Belleza said. “We all know it was Wisteria’s fault. Stupid bitch couldn’t keep her mouth shut and just had to gloat to you and Farron that she never worked for him,” Belleza continued, rolling her eyes. “At least she’s dead now though. Got what she deserved in the end.”
Interesting, Zelde thought, she seems to still think Wisteria is outside.
“Sounds like a lot of bullshit to excuse your actions if you ask me,” Xanthos said, putting a hand on his hip. “Convenient to blame a ‘dead’ woman too.”
Belleza chuckled. “Bullshit? Bullshit!? No, I had a plan!” She leaned forward a bit, suddenly more agitated than before. “When Wisteria joined our group she complicated things to be sure but I adapted. But then in you all come and ruin everything! We were going to make Atlas pay! We were going to hold them accountable! Plans that my family had been building for over ten years and you ruined them all!”
“Well, they can’t have been good plans if we took you down in less than a day,” Xanthos said sarcastically.
Helia took a step forward. “It’s over now, Belleza,” She told her sternly. “Your allies are dead, gone, or saw sense and stood down. There’s nothing left to fight for anymore. You are going to jail and you will pay for what you’ve done.”
If Belleza acknowledged the latter part of Helia’s words, she didn’t let it show. Instead, she seemed fixated on the first half of the words, starting to rant incessantly.
“Cowards the lot of them. After everything I put them through, all the training they undertook, all it took was a little bit of pressure to have them all throwing their hands up and surrendering. I always knew it would be down to me in the end.”Slowly the white-haired woman rose to her feet and removed her jacket, dropping it to the floor where it covered her spear. “After all, if you want a job done right, it’s better to do it yourself.”
She then held out her left hand, showing the group what she had been fiddling with before. It was a dust crystal and a rather jagged piece too that looked as though it hadn’t even been refined yet.
“A gift from a departed friend,” She smiled, and as she spoke Zelde was sure there was something akin to genuine sadness at the back of her words. Zelde felt her semblance flare into life following her words, though the sensation did not last long thanks to her efforts to focus on it more as of late, but even as her body relaxed she knew danger was imminent.
Belleza pulled the crystal back towards her, hugging it close to her chest. “If I’m going to down, I’m going to make sure I leave a message and take out as many of you with me as I can.”
And what happened next, not even Zelde could have predicted. Belleza stabbed the dust crystal into a healing wound on her shoulder. Immediately, her arms started to swell, red-orange vein-like marks running down the lengths of both of them and up the left side of her neck. Belleza was screaming too and Zelde could not tell if it was from the pain or the anger. Injecting raw dust into one’s veins was said to be excruciatingly painful, even with aura, she could only imagine the pain the other woman was in. More alarmingly, the room began to fill with the smell of what Zelde could only assume was burning flesh, which seemed a strong likelihood based on how red Belleza’s arms were going.
When the initial effects of the dust infusion subsided, Belleza straightened, and she looked to be in quite a state. Her face was a paler red from the screaming she had been doing, cheeks streaked with tears, and her eyes were glowing a similar red-orange to the veins on her arms and neck. Zelde noticed that her right arm was awkwardly dangling down as if she could no longer control it fully.
Belleza paused for a moment, teetering on the spot as if she did not want to do, and then screamed at the group. Zelde was struck by how distorted it was to her earlier screams, sounding deeper and more unnatural.
With some effort - mostly on account of the right arm she was struggling to move - Belleza raised her arms and fired a giant fireball in their direction. It was Helia who moved quickly, her katana raised, as she rushed to intercept it and stop ZRCN from getting hit. As soon as the fireball connected, a cloud of smoke engulfed the spot where Helia had been standing, and she came flying back out of it seconds later, with such force that she wound up thrown against the wall and her aura shattered.
Zelde knew Belleza would have been more powerful now due to the dust infusion, but she had underestimated just how strong her hits had become if it had been enough to take out Helia’s aura with one hit. Even Belleza seemed surprised at the raw strength of her attack, but that surprise quickly faded into joy when she realised just how powerful she had become.
Suddenly, the fireballs were coming thick and fast, Belleza doing whatever she could to try and hit them. They were able to dodge the first few without trouble, but as Cordovan threw up a shield to block one, Belleza quickly retaliated by throwing another in quick succession. The shield took the brunt of the blast but it shattered under the strength of the second hit and Xanthos and Zelde tumbled backwards.
Cordovan and Neela remained close together, with Cordovan on one knee. Neela was trying to pull him up when suddenly she saw Belleza running for them.
“Cordo, look out!” She yelled.
Neela tried to pull him back but he instead shoved her out of the way, throwing up another shield with Belleza practically fell on top of.
“Move!” He yelled, glaring not only at her but Zelde and Xanthos too.
Zelde was loathe to move and leave Cordovan but he seemed to be holding Belleza off well enough. Xanthos and Neela ended up pulling her backwards, running to the now exposed kitchen area where they might have been able to duck into cover.
Belleza thumped on Cordovan’s shield. “I think I’ll enjoy sending you back to your mother,” She snickered, before raising a hand up.
From where they had briefly ducked into cover, Zelde watched as she raised a hand back, the palm of it starting to glow as she was about to create another fireball, only to get suddenly thrown backwards, as Cordovan used his shield to shove Belleza backwards. It was really a testament to his training that he could even manipulate his shields like that, as Zelde could remember a time when his semblance was static and he could not form it anywhere beyond his person, let alone throw it up away from himself.
As the woman went back, Corodvan quickly darted away to where the rest of his team was, coming to a stop in a hunched over position next to them.
“We need a plan,” He said, a little breathless from his efforts to halt Belleza. “We can’t outrun her fire forever.”
He was right of course but coming up with a plan was going to be difficult. Not just because of the little time they had but because Belleza was quite an unpredictable opponent too. Zelde gave it some thought for a moment before lowering her head.
“We have to kill her,” She said.
“Zelde…” Cordovan didn’t seem particularly alarmed by this, only troubled that the suggestion had come from Zelde’s mouth. Xanthos and Neela looked a little wary of the suggestion, and Zelde noted after their earlier bout with Maia, that they were perhaps not looking forward to the idea of killing someone else, even if that someone was Belleza.
“I know it sounds like an extreme idea, but I think that is the only option we’ve got,” Zelde said, pressing on with her suggestion. “As Cordovan said, we cannot outrun her forever. We won't stand a chance if she hits one of us with one of her fireballs. She will knock us out and kill us have no doubt about that.”
“To be honest, killing her might be a mercy,” Xathos said. “Did you see how she reacted when she injected the dust? The smell too? I think she’s quite literally burning herself alive.”
Zelde grimaced at the thought.
“I don’t know if I can,” Neela said. “I know it seems like our only choice but I’m not sure if I can kill another person. Even if it is her.”
“Just leave it to us, Neela,” Zelde said, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Can you give us as much mist as you can though?”
Neela nodded. “Yeah, I can do that.”
“FIREBALL!” Xanthos suddenly yelled, forcing them to duck down a little lower, as one flew over their heads and struck a metal cabinet. Clearly, Belleza had gotten back to her feet.
“Go, go, go!” Zelde urged, instructing Xanthos and Cordovan to follow her out of cover.
“You weren’t trying to hide were you?” Belleza asked, cocking her head to the side. “Where’s the other one?”
Belleza seemed to be preparing another fireball when thick mist suddenly started to roll out over the servery and spill out into the empty room. Zelde thanked her teammate silently. Whilst Belleza was temporarily distracted by the appearance of the mist, Zelde gestured for Xanthos and Cordovan to duck, knowing that the three of them would be a bit more obscured if they crouched and hid in the mist.
Even though the mist was thicker than usual for Neela’s semblance, the fiery outline of Belleza could still be seen in the middle of it, her head snapping from side to side rapidly as she tried to see them in the mist. With the heat she was no doubt generating the mist likely wouldn’t last, and Zelde knew they wouldn’t have long and needed to act fast.
Pulling her gun out of its holster, she aimed in the direction of Belleza, and squeezed the trigger, letting off a short burst of rounds. If one or two of them clipped Belleza then so be it, but it was mostly meant as a distraction tactic.
Sure enough, Belleza’s head whipped around to face her, eyes narrowing.
“You,” She hissed.
Come on, Zelde urged silently, as she held her ground. Charge at me.
Belleza looked at her momentarily, her left palm starting to glow as if preparing a fireball again. Zelde was about to curse when the other woman started moving towards her, possibly deciding that she’d much rather get up close and personal if she was going to hurl a fireball in her face. To Belleza’s surprise, Zelde rushed forward to greet her, raising her foot to kick her sharply in the abdomen. The first kick caught Belleza by surprise, but she was ready for the second, catching Zelde’s foot with a hand and then swinging her leg down violently causing Zelde’s leg to jolt.
“Pathetic,” Belleza sneered, closing the gap between them and slamming her head forward to headbutt Zelde.
Zelde fell backwards and wound up on the floor. Her aura had held, luckily, but she didn’t like being this close to the other woman, even if it was part of her plan.
As Belleza approached, Zelde shuffled backwards using her hands to move, suddenly yelling at Cordovan when Belleza looked ready to form another fireball.
“Cordovan, shield!”
Belleza did not have time to pull back before her fireball connected with the new shield. And being this close to the barrier, she got hit by the recoil from her own attack. Zelde meanwhile neatly rolled out of the way, feeling a bit of the heat from the blast, but avoiding any lasting damage.
As Belleza stumbled away, shielding her eyes, Zelde quickly jumped to her feet, making a signal to Xanthos nearby.
“Xanthos, restrain her!” Zelde instructed.
Xanthos lashed out with his whip, letting it curl around the body of Belleza. He quickly began to run around her, ensuring his whip was tightly coiled around the other woman, before activating his semblance to alter his weight to his heaviest state. He leaned back on his heels a little, making his whip go taut.
Although restrained, and unlikely to break out quickly, Belleza was trying to free herself. She was heating her palms and trying to burn away the whip with little effect.
“Cordovan,” Zelde called out again, looking towards her red-haired teammate. She shifted her weapon to its bladed form and looked expectantly at Cordovan, hoping he understood what she meant by the gesture. “Together?”
“Together,” He nodded.
“Xanthos, when Cordovan goes in for his strike, release the whip,” Zelde instructed swiftly.
He nodded and Zelde gave him a swift smile. She took a breath. It was time.
Gripping her weapon tightly, she looked towards Cordovan again, before running forward. Belleza saw her coming and yelled out an expletive at her but Zelde did not stop. She pulled back her weapon and made a strike at the back of Belleza’s knees. Her blade connected and she heard Belleza cry out before dropping to her knees, no longer able to stand. Zelde darted quickly away to let Cordovan land the finishing blow.
As promised, when Cordovan approached, Xanthos let his weapon slacken, allowing Cordovan to attack unimpeded. His weapon, Braveheart, was in its rarely used sword form. And with a grunt of effort, he pulled back, before stabbing it through Belleza’s chest and out her back.
In the end, Belleza did not go out in a blaze of glory, but rather, a small whimper.
Cordovan pulled out his blade and stood back allowing Belleza to fall back, her head near enough bouncing off the floor. Her chest gave one final heave and then grew still. Her body was spent.
Belleza Rossi was dead.
Nobody dared to move for a long time. The air felt heavy with some indescribable emotion. It was over and Belleza was defeated but it didn't feel like a victory truly worth celebrating.
Zelde stood by herself for a moment until Cordovan came near, hooking an arm around her waist and drawing her near to his body. Zelde let her weapon drop to the floor, wrapping her arms around Cordovan's neck in relief, just letting herself be held for the moment.
They pulled apart when Neela approached, having come out of hiding from behind the servery. Cordovan gave a small smile and put a hand on her back.
"We did it," She said, weakly smiling back. Her blue eyes strayed away from him and looked at the dead body on the floor. It was a grim sight to be sure and nobody wanted to linger on Belleza's corpse for too long.
Still lingering close together, they moved towards Xanthos who was trying to rouse an unconscious Helia. She seemed to be stirring back to life when they approached, still dazed but then snapping up, as if suddenly remembering she had been in a fight priorly.
"Where's…" Helia's voice trailed off when she spotted Belleza's body behind them. She gulped slightly. "She's dead then. What happened?"
"We killed her," Cordovan answered swiftly. "We couldn't take the risk. We saw what she did to you and we knew we couldn't outrun her forever. It seemed like our only option given the circumstances."
Helia processed the words carefully before nodding and trying to stand.
Cordovan and Xanthos helped her up and she took a moment to dust herself off, once again looking at Belleza before back at the group. "Let's go meet up with the others," She suggested. "I don't want to linger in here longer than we have to."
It was something all of them could agree on at least. The five of them walked out of the cafeteria, tired, and bruised, but alive. As they headed back to reunite with the rest of those who had come with them to this place, they could rest peacefully knowing that the Rossi threat had finally been dealt with.

Hi can we have a little sneak pic to the next chapter and do you have specific dates you're posting them?
“Leave Anagan to me, I’ve been working on something, I just need someone to watch my back.” Flora was by the window, creating vines to form a barrier.
“What about Ogron? He’s not going to want to leave any witnesses, not if it means you girls getting stronger.” Brandon was also inspecting the Eartherns.
“Aisha and I will keep Ogron at bay.” Sky said, looking through the window, slowing down as he seemed to consider something.
“Riven and I will go with Flora-”
“No.” Sky shook his head, looking at Helia in an apologetic way, “You can’t. The best option right now is for you to go with Bloom and Tecna, get the civilians out of here.”
“But-”
“Timmy will go with Flora. Stella and Musa can take on Gantlos and I need Nabu and Brandon to fight Duman. You’re the best options to evacuate civilians, you know you are. And that’s where I need you.” Sky looked like he’d rather run himself through with his own sword than to speak those words but his voice still left no room for argument.
It’d been a long time since Bloom had seen him take charge in such a way. It’d been a long time since he’d truly acted like the leader of the Specialists. Not since…
Helia stared at him for a long moment before going to look at Flora. Once she’d given him a small nod, Helia took a deep breath and meet Sky’s gaze once more.
“Alright. We’ve got who will do what. What’s the rest of the plan?”

Will update about the schedule soon

Has Anyone Ever Noticed That, In Season 4, Episode 13, the Winx Actually Had the Wizards of the Black Circle?
In ‘The Wizards’ Attack’, the Winx actually could have beaten the wizards once and for all, but they all failed to notice when they had them and then capitalise on the opportunity.
Anagan:
Timmy and Helia both get owned by Anagan, but then Flora shows up, and she’s got Anagan tied up in a few seconds. Then, she stops to make a quip, as opposed to doing something about the evil wizard she’s actually managed to temporarily incapacitate. Next, they fight, and then Flora binds Anagan in vines. Completely binds him. You can’t see any of him at all. She’s got him! And yet…Anagan’s out of there five seconds later, thanks to his magic. Flora had him! She could have used her powers to tighten the vines just enough to slightly cut off his air supply and knock him out. And that would have been Anagan captured and out of play.
Gantlos:
Gantlos takes out Brandon and Riven, and then Musa and Stella show up. Musa’s sound wave attack moves Gantlos back a little, but he’s still standing firm. And then…Stella unleashes Universe of Light, temporarily blinding Gantlos and bringing him to his knees, covering his eyes, trying to regain sight. He’s down. He can’t see. He seems to be in pain. They had him. And yet, Stella, instead of tying him up or trapping him with magic or just using a spell to knock him out…goes to talk to Brandon (who’s actually Duman, but that doesn’t really matter right now). And Musa goes to Riven, and they all just, what? Ignore the incapacitated wizard on his knees behind them?
Duman:
While Gantlos is being ignored, Duman tries to trick Stella into believing he’s Brandon. It almost works, but Stella sees through him and blasts at him. She misses, and only manages to singe his hair, but then he lands, turns around…and Brandon punches him in the face. He gets knocked backwards and into a wall, where he falls to the floor, clearly dazed, and yet, nobody does anything! Stella and Brandon go to kiss, when they could have capitalised on his inability to react and bound him or knocked him out. And, during this time, Gantlos has regained sight, and proceeds to blast everyone.
Ogron:
Technically, Roxy doesn’t have Ogron to quite the same extent the others have their wizards, but still! She blasts him with the White Circle, knocking him onto the train tracks (and it’s already been established that Ogron can’t fight Roxy when she wields the White Circle, so this is a fight that the season’s lore tells us Roxy will win). So, how come, when Ogron is on the tracks, presumably dazed, Roxy looks down at the White Circle and gives a satisfied smile, instead of using it to take Ogron down? And also, if the other Winx had captured the other wizards, Gantlos would be in custody, so he wouldn’t be there to stop that train. Though, I’d like to believe that Roxy would stop Ogron getting hit by a train, because she’s nice like that.
So, to summarise, had the Winx been paying a little more attention, they could have had the wizards captured and in custody in that episode. It’s slightly concerning that they didn’t, seeing as how they’re all guardian fairies and are responsible for the safety of their home planets.

CHAPTER THREE:  The book of fate
Scene 1
As the ship approaches Domino they conclude that the atmosphere would destroy the owl. Bloom gets an idea, She uses a new spell of hers, inner flame. This gives all the girls, guys and ships an red aura which not only will regulate the temperature around them but will also protect them from the hail and winds. With this they enter Domino’s atmosphere which Bloom’s power barely manages to fight against.
As they land, the girls note that even with Bloom’s magic protecting them from cold they’re still not holding up that well. Bloom dawns Daphne’s or well , her new mask. She sees Domino as it used to be , lush and green. The plants having a dragon touch to them. Tecna suggests that they get on their bikes and ride to the point she calculated where the mountain of the rock resides. Que Riven and Sky racing and Tecna telling them off.
Flora senses lifeforce beaming from the mountain and she figures out that the mountain is actually a nest for a giant owl-like bird to rest within. Tecna scans the mountain , does some fast research using her new enhanced Enchantix powers and finds out that the bird itself is part of an old Domino legend. The bird of rock , which holds information about everything that’s ever happened since the creation of the magical universe. It used to be a beloved pet of the dragon herself before she merged with the Planet.
Rock has been entrusted to every member of the royal Domino Bloodline, also known as the custodians of the dragon’s flame. Stella then proceeds to punch Bloom’s shoulder, telling her to go up there and tell that thing to come down so they can enter its library. Bloom’s a bit hesitant, since she doesn't exactly know how to do that. Timmy gets the idea to simply climb it while it’s still asleep, they’re smaller than it so it’s not like it il notice them right ?
Flora creates some vines for them to climb, the other girls are worried but Flora tells them that her vines are stronger than steel now.
Scene 2
As the guys climb higher and higher, Riven gets louder and louder much to the annoyance of the other guys. Helia in particular, he tells Riven to shut up which actually stunts the rest of the guys. Sky whispers to himself that he doesn't think he’s heard Helia this angry before. Before Riven managed to apologize, the owl of the rock began to rumble and shake. Before the guys knew it, the bird flapped its giant wings and took to the sky.
The girls saw this happening and Stella exclaimed that they need to transform and go after them only for Tecna to remind her that they can barely handle the cold down there with Bloom’s magic. They won't survive up in the sky, Bloom takes command and tells everyone to get on to the owl.
The guy’s are being carried on by a thread, all of them having to use their new weapon upgrades in passive ways to avoid falling to certain death along with Flora’s vines having a mind of their own and saving Timmy from a fall to certain death, they all start slowly succumbing to hyperthermia before Flora sensed this and converged her powers with Bloom to maintain the guy’s body temperature through her vines.
The owl only barely managed to catch up to the bird but before the girls could come up with a plan to save the guys, fog covered their way. Stella, as per usual, took the opportunity to show off her new Enchantix powers by dispersing the clouds. Even so they still couldn't get close to it, which is where Tecna uses a new spell of hers: swift internet connection. Which makes the ship’s speed increase so much that they finally manage to catch up to the bird.
Musa and Flora combine their powers to read the bird’s mind, it’s not angry, it’s just scared. “So what, we need to sing this thing a lullaby?” Stella commented. Musa rolled her eyes before she tried to use her new crystal voice spell on the bird. This only made the bird more aggressive which made it attack the ship, sending it crashing to the floor. With the winx’s fates uncertain. Tecna got knocked out while the rest got thrown to the back of the ship. With some help, Tecna managed to wake up and retake control of the ship.
This Time around, Bloom and Musa converge their magic to calm the bird down. After a few suspenseful moments, the rock finally calmed down and returned to its nest. The winx and specialists regroup and enter the library of the rock.
In the distance, an old hag on a giant bug holds an orb of magic. She can sense the amount of magical energy having been used. Even the dragon flame. She proceeds to follow their magic trail while cackling, Glad that she finally found what she was looking for.
Scene 3
As they enter, they decide to split up into 2 groups: Tecna, Aisha, Riven, Helia, Sky , and Brandon are the heavy hitters and the sneakiest of the group. They are in charge of patrolling the building inside and out. Meanwhile Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Timmy, and  Nabu will be researching the rotunda library that seems to make up most of the building.
The woman found their location rather easily, however, she knows she can’t take on all these powerful fairies at once… She suddenly gets an idea and sends out a bug into the library. Its goal is to go after the most mentally weak person.
As the group approaches the middle of the room, a book is displayed in the middle with the face of the great dragon on the cover. Before they open anything, Timmy scans the area plus the book.  Unfortunately, Timmy’s devices can't scan anything in this room. Bloom gulps before opening the book in the center of the room, expecting some sort of explosion. Nothing. So Bloom started looking through the book only to find… Nothing. Everything is blank. Everyone goans in frustration before the book begins to glow.
Bloom, Stella, Flora, and Musa prepared to transform while the guys prepared their magic and weaponry before a man emerged from the book’s pages. Clad in golden glory, Bartleby introduced himself as the keeper of this library and the book of fate. Addressing Bloom by her formal title.
Scene 4
The other group spread around the building, naturally splitting off into teams: Helia and Tecna, Aisha and Riven, Sky and Brandon. Taking the role of leader and telling everyone to scatter. Helia and Tecna are patrolling the outside, with Tecna’s Tecnomagic and Helia’s aluf stealthy nature, nothing will be able to enter the building.
Riven and Aisha are patrolling the inside, they’re the hardest hitters of the group. And Sky stood guard with Brandon ,close to the rontanda library, in order to report any issues to the other group.
Tecna decided to make an overall scan of the area, while doing so she decided to have a word with Helia, which only served to confuse him. Tecna could tell that there was something on his mind, enough to worry Flora. This caught Helia off guard as he did not exactly expect Tecna to be so insightful when it comes to emotions. Tecna pushes Helia to express his emotions and allow himself to feel irrational things. Even irrationality has its place and it doesn't get enough credit for the good it can do.
This leaves Helia perplexed, asking when Tecna got this wise.
“Somewhere in between earning my Charmix and getting trapped in the omega dimension” Tecna giggled. Helia chuckled alongside her. He finally began to open up about something he’s been scared to talk about, even to Flora.
The reason he’s returned to red fountain was because of his grandfather, truth be told he’d always preferred the idea of living a simpler life and that was his plan but as he grew up, magic began showing itself around him. Tecna questioned why he didn't become a wizard if that was the case, to which he responds that the magic, avoiding calling it his own , manifested itself as.. A pair of wings.
Which shocks Tecna, she proceeds to explain that he should be proud of that. Not a lot of men end up with enough magical energy to become a fai-
Helia caught her off. If he were to become… that, his grandfather would disown him entirely. He’s all the family he has left… Tecna asks why he thinks that to which he explains it’s because Saladin told him himself.
A long pause followed. Tecna then began explaining that her parents are much the same. Displaying emotions on Zenith is looked down upon, she was always looked down upon for any emotion she displayed that isn't rational.
When she and the others saved Bloom from Darkar, instead of being happy for her. They told her that if she ever pulled a stunt like that again then she can forget coming back home at all.
“I didn't listen to them. When the Omega portal was going out of control i didnt think about them. I thought about the people who mattered most to me. My true family. The people who brought out the best in me and made me happy.” She then encourages him to let himself feel what he’s feeling. The people who matter the most will stay and support him just like he’s supported them.
This brings Helia to tears and he hugs Tecna. Right at that moment that woman’s bug landed on his neck and bit him. A sudden rush of pain coursed through his body. He then collapsed, Tecna quickly began rushing him to everyone else.
Scene 5
Bartleby get’s Bloom with her full title and then asks for what information she is here to seek, to which she answers that she wants information on her parents. As he opens the book to their chapter we get a ton of pictures of them growing up and eventually a picture of baby Bloom and Daphne which only served to make Flora squeal.
“Bartleby ….. What does the last page of their destiny say ?...” Bloom asked, uncertain and kind of scared of the answer. Only for the last page of their destinies to be blank. He goes on to explain that it simply means that it’s not been written yet. In other words, they're alive. Flora then asked if they could see Bloom’s chapter, to which Timmy added that if Bloom’s destiny is to save her parents then that book can show them how to find them. Que cute friendship moment between Timmy and Flora.
Bartleby scrolls through Bloom’s section, to its most recent chapter. The ink begins shifting and changing. “Your destiny is actually part of an old Domino legend, princess Bloom.”
“In the heart of all evil, a kingdom trapped within obsidian stone and rock will be seeked by the last air to the throne. A brave spirit will be required to vanquish the everlasting darkness. And what was lost, will be again as the seven of pure light shine bright against the dark.”
As Bloom tries to touch the page, the ink tries emerging to attack her but fails and returns to the book.
“Ughh …. Not to interrupt but Bartleby? You’re fading like cheap fabric.” Stella commented.
“I must apologize but time is of the essence” , Bloom begs him to stay , and she asks him what the last page of her book says, to which he once again shows that it’s blank. It 'll be up to her to decide how this tale ends. And he dissipates back into the book. Tecna rushes in with Helia, Flora gasps in horror as she sees him unconscious. Bloom made everyone back away from him and began using her healing powers on him.
It didn't work. Which only made everyone panic. Tecna said that they should get him to Alfea, maybe Faragonda could help, Which gets the full attention of that woman. A grin forms on her face.
End of the episode.

Ok I’m sorry if you’ve already answered this before but I saw some of your older posts talking about your headcanons regarding Helia’s Dynamic with Miele as well as Flora’s dynamic with Saladin and they were just so wholesome! I’m just a sucker for wholesome (future) in-law dynamics. So anyway, it made me wonder if you had any thoughts or headcanons on Helia’s dynamic/relationship with Flora’s parents, Rhodos and Alyssa. Its already a crime that we don’t get to see Flora’s family that much in canon (not to mention her parents don’t get introduced until season 6/7 of all things). Its an even bigger crime that we get practically zero interactions between Helia and Flora’s parents in canon (from what I remember). Like at least between him and Miele, we get a little something in the comics, but NOTHING with Rhodos and Alyssa! So yeah, I’d like to hear your thoughts
AHHHHHHHHHH OBSESSED
i have mentioned this before (teehee)! but it's not suuuper fleshed out so i'm taking advantage of your ask to talk about helia more ajdgkdag
you're so right it's an Absolute Crime that we didn't get to see her parents till the later seasons (and we don't even know if they're what rainbow/iginio originally intended her parents to be like either), but i actually really like her parents! rhodos being So Goofy and making a bunch of puns?? AMAZING also fully obsessed with both flora and her mother having strangling vines that grab everyone like we really see where flora gets it from aldhgjlg
anyway, with how friendly they both are, i think they would fully adore helia! especially since flora probably talks about him a lot or at the very least doesn't hide that she's in a relationship, i think they would end up knowing a lot more about him than he realizes ajhdgl i definitely don't think it would take till s7 for them to properly meet though! i can see flora officially introducing him near the end of s3 or sometime in s5 (considering the earth gap year)!
but Anyway, headcanons!!
rhodos and alyssa are absolutely devasted that helia has next to zero knowledge about plants and plant care, so rhodos takes it upon himself to teach helia every single time he visits
rhodos is also very excited to say every single pun/joke about plants he knows since he figures helia hasn't heard them yet (helia: takes one step outside - rhodos: well, I can't WHEAT to see you again ;;;;))
in ep6 it shows them taking care of the magiwolves and since i also hc that helia has some good medical knowledge, i like to think that he'd be able to impress them with that! i can see them comparing notes and maybe even asking for help with other animals!
in the comics, they mention that flora and helia played together when they were kids and i hc that it was actually alyssa who remembered him and told them!
rhodos is way too friendly and cheerfully tells helia that he can call him dad if he wants to. helia's too nervous to tell him he thinks that's weird as hell ajdgl
helia still calls them mr. rhodos and mrs. alyssa decades after meeting them aladhg
i mentioned in the miele post that she would eventually ask to know when he's going on missions, and i think after a couple years (probably around s7 time), rhodos and alyssa would also ask for that information. timmy helps him make a little timetable that he can just fill out and they can access whenever
i think i mentioned it in the first post but they absolutely try to subtly drop hints that they're okay with florelia getting married aldghl (they're not subtle At All but they're trying okay alhdgl)
helia would definitely be a little awkward and nervous around them at first, even more so after experiencing how nice they are to him. i can see him feeling like he doesn't deserve it or like he needs to earn their respect. that would last for a couple of years but eventually he would have a moment where it just kind of clicks that they literally don't care what he does as long as he treats flora with respect and love.
after that, he would randomly get a lot more comfortable with them and they get excited because they think it means florelia are getting married or something ajdhgl

made the grave mistake of starting fate winx saga knowing damn well im gonna be upset hurt and pissed it’s cancelled but i was like whatever. *que the vine* NOW IM MAD LETS GOOOOOO
I NEED ALL MY WINX BITCHES TO FIND THEIR MEN:
I NEED MUSA AND RIVEN ENDGAME UGHSHSJSHS WE WERE SOOOOO CLOSE TOO 😩😩😩

I NEED SOME STUDENT TUTOR THING WITH STELLA AND A FUTURE BRANDON OR WHATEVER
I NEED AISHA TO RECOVER FROM GREY AND HAVE A SLOW BURN WITH A NEBU/NEX
i was surprised with how much sky and bloom content i got in 13 episodes… usually reboots or love action remakes be doin couples dirty but now i have enough sky and bloom content to last a lifetime 🤌🏽
I NEED TERRA TO FIND SOME ONE pls i beg actually i need her to stop being obsessed with riven good lord 😭
and i want flora to find her helia
• also something i kind of noticed and compared to show, i think season 2 was based on the first movie or inspired by it cause if i remember correctly it had to do with the dark realm as well and bloom finding more about the dragon flame
• a thank you to casting for hiring such fine men
- no offense to riven but he got and looked way more attractive around musa than whatever mess of a threesome couple he was in
random note as well: i love that bloom and sky & musa and sam are together irl like thats so fucking cute 😭😭
this wasn’t bad for a remake, i’m someone that’s not easily fazed or picky unless its giving kissing booth acting, especially because i watched winx growinf up but i know it could’ve ended up great so fuck you netflix for cancelling it. should’ve never given it to us anyways if you’re just gonna cancel everything fucking whores.
lord knows if this petition will actually work but please sign 🤍

Flora long ver 1
(some stuff is from the fan wiki i just tweaked)
Name: Flora Anabille Rosales
Looks: muscular legs and arms because she likes to not use magic to grow her favourite plants often. tan-skinned, with long 3a brunette with dirty blond highlights that has bangs framing on either side of her face where the blonde streaks are most apparent, with a single small hair strand sticking up and narrow green-jade eyes.
Relationships: Her soulmate is Helia and she is the closest with Aisha and Techna (they love studying together and info-dumping about their interests). Chatta is her bonded pixie.
She shines in her normal, charmix, Enchantix and Sophix forms the most.
Personality: Nerd, kind, a little anxious. She can feel the life force of plants AND summon animals??? healer , potionology goat. mom friend. Flora is very calm, soft-spoken, caring, sweet, shy and genuine girl who loves plants and vegetation of all kinds. Being interested in experimenting with her plants, Flora became the potion master of the group who specialises in brewing and creating remedies and medicines from the uses of her magical plants. Due to that, she has a full scholarship to Alphea. Her gentle and caring personality, Flora is strongly connected to nature and loves helping people. She is shown to have a sensitive personality to the point where she would instinctively care for her friends as well as her plants when they are in distress.
Flora is the most mature member of the Winx as she possesses a deep sense of love, peace, happiness and tranquillity. However, it is shown that Flora has an insecure side to her personality, sometimes causing her to hide most of her feelings to the point where she would have problems expressing them. Flora is one of the most diligent students at Alfea and is cautious of her actions. Although she has a kind-hearted side, She is very responsible and a mediator. She doesn't hold grudges coz it's a waste of energy and time, so when she is mad at you (or her enemies), she is reALLY mad and shows a more aggressive side of herself.
As an older sister, she is shown to be quite overprotective, often forgets that people are mature and can protect themselves. Miele often has to deal with this side of Flora. In which case, Flora has demonstrated some level of ignorance as this attitude tends to hurt Miele's feelings.
History: She was born in Linphea to Alyssa and Rollos. she had 5 years to herself before Miele was born. She loved Miele the moment she laid eyes on her and took it on herself to be her protector from then on. which results in her overprotectiveness. other than that as nice as her parents were, they were a little passive in their parenting style, which led flora to learn their temperment, but actively take others under her wing.
Powers: Her magic is green in colour. As the Fairy of Nature, she has nature-based powers. Flora can generate, grow, and control various vegetation, but she mainly uses vines for defensive moves such as creating barriers, entangling opponents, and supporting heavy objects. Aside from her vines, she is often seen controlling flowers to use as diverse attacks using pollen and dust to provide distractions, producing swirls of petals/leaves, conjuring food (namely fruits/vegetables), altering the growth plants such as growing a tomato crop from an already existing tomato, and even summoning animals.
her strength relies on her surrounding environment and requires her to be at one with nature. Flora is able to hear the voice of nature speaking to her, more so than in anyone. Rather, she is able to use her magic to listen to the voice of the forest. This skill can be a disadvantage at times, as the destruction of nearby nature will cause excruciating pain to her and weaken her own self and her ability to focus her magic properly, even her flight.
Flora in terms of elemental power represents earth which she displays by setting off earthquakes and smashing a boulder with her mind. Her source of power is life itself. She also has a connection with the air being capable of using plants to absorb smoke and produce oxygen, and producing fragrances that can be used to repel an enemy or calm them down. Flora has developed the ability to physically heal other beings mostly after they have experienced a recent trauma, when spells dont work she also mixes potions to heal people. Flora will also develop the ability to alter the seasons.

The concept of the specialists magical weapons in S6 could be cool in concept? The execution is nonexistent but yknow...
I like the fact that theyre all supposed to be connected to nature related elements. It could be great to analyse symbolically + in relation to the girls
Helia's weapon being a "Rose Thorn bracelet" is cool bc nature + Flora, but I think the visuals for the weapon could be cooler...like the rope manifesting into actual thorn vines that hurt the target if they struggle
I find it interesting that Sky, Brandon and Riven get Moon, Laser and Solar elements respectively, esp since it doesn't correspond to their girlfriends.
Sky and Riven being opposite ends of moon/sun in relation to stella...
Brandon's laser weapon isn't exactly tied to nature (maybe wind?) but I feel you could draw links to Tecna and tecnology bc green + him having shield protective spells
I'm disappointed that none of them harness Bloom's fire power or Aisha's morphix/water powers, but I think Timmy's crossbow could harness flames in his arrows?
Similarly, I think Roy could have a water related sword, since his shield is already sand/beach adjacent. A lightning related sword could also be cool... Also can i say its so lame they don't name Roy's sword, ITS JUST CALLED SWORD???
Nex's wind halberd is the most interesting to look at? Thoren's earthquake hammer is also my personal fave bc I'm a sucker for big hammer hitting the ground and cracking it...I wish the hammer was much bigger though, like Brandon's old sword. Oversized weapons are neato
The fact they both specialise in long range combat compared to the others being close range is also a nice change
Anyway, they could have done so much more with the weapons. It was such an unfortunate letdown in execution that made the S6 weapon change practically unecessary

My random idea for my Winx club au
OK,so. Bloom and flora both seems sweet but. i feel that sometimes they have their random outbreaks that honestly scare the other winx and specialist. like if flora were to really give a death glare,im sure the winx( besides bloom kinda) and specialist would be scared a bit. Like they have never seen her give a death glare.EVER.(why do i feel like they would have to avoid eye contact with her 😭). While if bloom were to give a death glare ya they would all be scared but i dont think flora would be as scared as them since she has seen those glares before *insert a few times Diaspro was messing with sky which is like every episode she is in*. Though bloom really won’t attack them since she knows her strength flora might use her power to flick their nose or whatever with a vine or smth. But those two act like a mother and daughter at times and I love it. i don’t care it rarely happens.Flora is the mom of the group and the winx girls are the kids. It’s always a few kids that take after the mother and in this case bloom is one to take after her glare.
Yes yes I know flora is sweet and all but she can be scary if you press her buttons.Like if somebody were to talk smack about Helia, she might trip them  or she might ignore the fact that they are talking about him (but deep down she wants to smack the living out of them). But if they try to pull a move on him (like kiss him or make him uncomfortable) she will go drag that person away from him and attack the others would look away and let it happen. NOTE:never mess with a nature fairy’s boyfriend.but of that ever happens and she gives you that glare. AVOID EYE CONTACT. It’s like at that very moment she senses your fear and will glare at you until you say sorry or she just stops, but most like to happen you have to say sorry or she might just keep glaring and it gets intense by the second.
Bloom is a different story she knows her power is strong so she won’t really use it to attack unless needed, but that girl would be deadly nice until she knows your a total jerk just like how she snapped at riven in that one episode that i sadly don’t remember. I just see her having a death glare when she is mad at someone or some people, and chances you might have to slowly walk away. And when I mean slowly I mean tiny baby steps. Like she will not hesitate to run after you if your the reason she is mad. And that is scary knowing that she has the dragon flame or in this case fire powers cause she can just cause a spark on your clothes and set you a flame. But to avoid that from happening just say sorry or slowly walk away. But if she does not forgive you for what you done then your most likely to get haunted by the glare for the rest of your life.
(I think this is funny somehow knowing that they all have death glares but since in my case flora and bloom are the two strongest they have a colder death glare somehow in my book 😭👍)

Flora character bingo?
Tumblr media
They didn't do much with her. Season 2 Flora had the most presence and it was mostly centered on her feelings for Helia only for us to never see anything relevant about their relationship again. I think Flora is a little more complex than people give her credit for but the statement (from Iginio Straffi) that she's the second most powerful Winx never came through. Her spells lack any diversity past season 1 and she usually summons some vines and then does nothing for the rest of the battle. I think her power came through way better in World of Winx and kinda wish they would've done that in the og show.

Ok so every couple, best friends and platonic soulmates are in a situation where one of them as to die so the other can survive, who sacrifice themselves?
Bold of you to assume they wouldn’t all sacrifice themselves without a second thought. (I can totally picture with every single relationship an Endgame, Hawkeye/Black Widow moment when they literally have to force the other to let go)
Kay so, couples
Bloom and Sky- Bloom hasn’t even finished processing the question and she’s already stepping forwards to sacrifice herself, Sky literally hits her over the head and sacrifices himself with a whispered ‘I love you, forgive me’
Stella and Brandon- They look at each other, foreheads leaning together as Brandon quietly whispers to her because it can’t be her, not just because he can’t let her die but also because she is a queen and her people need her. Though she does put up one hell of a fight because what is her crown worth without him? But Brandon is the one that sacrifices himself
Flora and Helia- Before Helia can get a word in there are already vines going to hold him down and he’s screaming his throat raw and she can barely kiss him goodbye and wipe his tears because of the way he’s screaming and before he can free himself she’s already disappeared into the light
Musa and Riven- it would be a fight. An actual fight like in Endgame, they keep tripping each other and screaming and fighting because they refuse to not be the one that dies. They’ve lost far too much and lived with far too little, they can’t lose each other, they just can’t. I can’t decide who would win in the end but whoever was left alive would have to be held back to keep them from jumping in right after the other.
Tecna and Timmy- Timmy will not allow another Zenith situation to happen. Tecna already sacrificed herself, it’s his turn. Tecna is a mess, he’s never seen her like this, but he already made up him mind. It’s his job to keep her safe, and if this is what it takes it’s a small price to pay to keep her alive.
Aisha and Nabu- Aisha is only half listening, keeping her expression as neutral as she can while Nabu holds her hand and tries to reason why it should be him. But she is not letting it be him. It will not be him. So she tricks him, she makes him think that she agrees through a broken heart and given him a kiss that tastes of tears and knocks him out with a spell through the kiss. She lowers his body gently and kisses his lips and his forehead and his face. And then she leaves.
Best Friends
Bloom and Stella- They can’t believe this is happening. They’re clutching each other’s forearms. Both to try and stick together despite it all and also to stop each other from doing anything drastic. They’re both thinking about their years of friendship, how they feel like their very souls are intertwined. They’re half convinced that if one dies the other will too. But as Stella starts stepping forwards, Bloom pulls her back, and in an instant the spirit of the Dragon Flame is restraining Stella and she can do nothing but scream as Bloom gives her a teary smile, ‘Thank you for finding me.’
Flora and Aisha- They look at each other slowly. Flora can’t think. She doesn’t think when Aisha pulls her into a hug, holding her so tightly she might crack her ribs, Flora just returns the hug, crying into Aisha’s shoulder. This can’t be happening. It’s too late when she notices wetness reaching her hands. Flora tries to pull back but Aisha is holding on too tightly, whispering comforting things and gentle ‘I love you’s’ as water surrounds her hands and feet like shackles to keep her from using magic, from moving. Aisha pulls back, brushing Flora’s hair back and leaning their foreheads together before pulling away. Flora can only scream and try to break free. She can’t.
Musa and Tecna- The mind is a weak thing. Tecna knows that, she always has. All it takes is a high-pitched little sound to trick it. That’s how she knows it’s over before she’s had a chance to fight. She still tries, trying to see through Musa’s illusion and run before Musa can stop her. But arms pull her back, Musa crying as she tackles her, crying that it has to be her. Tecna is also screaming, she doesn’t even know if she’s actually saying anything or if she’s just wailing desperately trying to stop her best friends. It only takes a second for the ringing in her ear, tricking her brain to stop. And then… it’s over.
Sky and Brandon- Brandon knew this would always happen. He is Sky’s squire, he has been preparing for this since he was fourteen. This is his duty, one he’d gladly accepted for his best friend. Brandon knew this day would come, he also knows Sky would try to stop him and he’s kicking his feet from under him before he can do the same to him. Brandon only hears his brother scream as he runs into the light.
Helia and Riven- Riven isn’t sure how Helia moves as quickly as he does, the strings from his gloves wrapping themselves around his ankles and making him fall down. Riven screams, grabbing the strings and pulling, trying to get a hold of Helia’s arms. They’re fighting and scrambling, Riven is trying to get him into a chokehold. But Helia is already reaching into his pocket and sprays Riven with a dust to make him pass out. Riven holds on even as he starts to lose consciousness. But Riven is one of the people that helped Helia love life again. There is no way he’s letting anything hurt him. Once Riven is knocked out, Helia slowly sits up. He hesitates, taking off his necklace and placing it over Riven’s head. Then he runs before Riven has the chance to wake up.
Timmy and Nabu- Brandon and Riven’s training finally pays off, Nabu moves without even thinking, summoning his staff and using it to knock Timmy down, a gravity spell, keeping him pinned to the floor. He meets his eyes, he sees the understanding there. Timmy wiggles, trying to get away from the spell, he’s screaming, pleading, tears springing to his eyes. Nabu’s also crying, but he ignores it, he whispers to Timmy before turning around and running.
Platonic Relationships
Bloom and Timmy- Timmy tries. He tries his hardest. He tries to shot her, to restrain her, to plead, to knock her out. But Bloom has the Dragon Flame and even after years, Timmy can only beat her in hand-to-hand combat. And Bloom is playing dirty right now, anything to keep him safe. Timmy’s glasses are broken and he can barely see Bloom as she kneels in front of him and brokenly says that she’s sorry and to stay safe and to keep going and Timmy is screaming and in an instant even through his blurry vision he can see that she’s gone.
Stella and Sky- Stella and Sky were practically born together, they always thought they’d die together. Neither could imagine their lives without each other. They fight. They fight for a long time. They’ve been fighting together for a very long time, they know every single one of the other’s moves and tactics. But Sky never did get the hang of Stella’s moon magic. All it takes is one small illusion and suddenly he’s been hit over the head and he crumbles to the ground. Stella doesn’t wait to see him even react. They’ve said all that they needed to say a long time ago. So she runs.
Flora and Riven- Flora was the first person Riven truly loved after Darcy, she was the one that made him believe that he had a place with the squad. He already has a knife in his hand to cut the vines that try to hold him in place, she’s already running and he has to yank her back by the hair, and he pushes her to the ground. He promised he’d never hurt her but now all he cares is that she doesn’t reach the light. He runs, using his own magic to move faster, he only hears Flora scream and vines trying to reach him. Then he breaks through the light.
Musa and Helia- They’re both quiet for a good minute, still holding hands. When he turns to look at her, they’re both crying. She pulls him close, leaning their foreheads together, he takes a deep breath, ready to pick her up and slam her down but a ringing picks up in his ears and he winces and she kicks him and he falls to one knee and in an instant she’s shoving him and he has a hold of her leg but she breaks free and kicks him down again and she’s running and… Helia can’t stop her.
Tecna and Nabu- Tecna snaps her fingers, a small disk flying to Nabu before he can knock it down and electrifying him. She’s already died once, sacrificed. She’ll do it again. Nabu falls down and she’s crying and has to kick his staff away to make sure that he can’t stop her. She’s always felt a strange connection to him, in a way she could never describe. She’s not letting him die. She looks at him one last time as he tries to reach her. Then she runs.
Aisha and Brandon- Brandon’s always been one to act quickly. He thinks back to the day he knew Aisha would be a big part of his life. Her birthday when she’d thought no one cared. How lonely she’d seemed. How much she’d grown since then. It isn’t a choice to move to pull her into a choke hold, carefully placing himself so that she can’t move her arms much. He can’t let her go through with this. She’s trying to claw at him, Morphix trying to get him to let go but he doesn’t budge. He puts her down gently, gets up… and runs.
Ummm…. So that got long and more deep than it had to….. jiji

TEAM ZRCN ARC 4 - CHAPTER 12
After the terrifying events at Olympia, the group take a moment to recover and take stock of what happened before finally pushing on to the O.R.C.A.S!
ZELDE
After the events of the night before the group had found themselves holed up at an old military outpost a few miles out of town. According to Calantha, her family had always used it as a sort of halfway point between the town and the facility.
The outpost was small with just enough room for the whole group to sit inside comfortably thanks to having been gutted of most of its furniture. Morgan reluctantly gave up more of the fire dust he had bought with him, using it to start a small fire to warm up the room. The whole group huddled around the fire, pressing close together to share the warmth. Trying to get to sleep proved to be more of a struggle. Elio was insistent the Husks wouldn't have followed them this far, but this didn't stop him and the rest of the Mob Ops from setting up a little watch between themselves whilst the rest of the group rested just in case. This was slightly more comforting for Zelde and that coupled with being wrapped up in Cordovan's safe embrace, ensured she was able to get a fairly restful sleep.
It was a welcome relief when morning finally arrived and the lingering threat of a second Husk attack faded. Once everyone was awake, Cherry briefly slipped outside to retrieve some rations from the car, before returning to hand them out. There wasn’t much, to begin with, and spread out between all of them there was even less; still, it helped to stave off the hunger pangs that Zelde felt kicking in.
As they ate, Elio took the opportunity to drill the group on the plan of action once more.
“It’s a bit early for battle tactics, don’t you think?” Wisteria quipped from where she was sitting.
“After what happened yesterday, I think we could do with the reminder, so it’s fresh in our minds instead of those things,” Elio responded without even sparing her a glance. “If you’d rather stay out of the conversation, that’s fine by me.”
Wisteria shrugged and gave no further response. Although she had spoken against the topic of conversation, Zelde noted that the woman did seem to be listening to what was being said.
As Zelde finished up the last of her rations, she felt her gaze shift instinctively towards Cordovan. He hadn't said much this morning other than a brief hello, but as she turned her head to look at him she saw him staring at Wisteria. It wasn't the first time she had caught him doing so since they had left Highpoint. After all the bad blood between him and Wisteria, she couldn't fault him for still being suspicious around her.
Zelde touched his knee which seemed to snap him out of his thoughts. He turned to her and she gave him a brief smile that seemed to get him to relax.
As Elio continued with his conversation, he invited the other members of the group to bring up any queries they might have had, so they could try and work through them before they left for the Rossi's base. Morgan was naturally concerned about the situation regarding their Dust supplies, which Zelde couldn't fault him for. After their attempt to hold off the Husks, their supplies had definitely taken a dent. Zelde wasn’t anticipating much of a firefight - based on what she knew of the Rossi’s and their allies few of them even had guns - but she was certainly aware of how little ammunition she had left.
After assuring Morgan they would be fine, Elio rallied the group in preparing to leave. It was still early but Elio was keen to leave for the O.R.C.A.S and deal with the remaining Rossi’s as soon as possible - a sentiment that was shared by Cherry and Xanthos. There wasn’t much to pack up and bring with them so it did not take long to gather their things and head out. Like the day before, Zelde and the rest of her teammates found themselves seated in the back with Helia and Wisteria whilst Calantha sat upfront with the Mob Ops.
The journey from the outpost to the Rossi’s base did not take long, with the journey only appearing to take longer due to the slow, careful, driving of Elio. The further north they travelled the harder it became to see, with a thick fog descending upon them, which made it difficult for Zelde to see the base at first when Cherry announced that they had arrived. It was only after looking for some time that Zelde was finally able to make out more of the building, with the dim lights from inside the building helping it stand out through the fog.
The building became more visible the closer Elio and it soon became clear to Zelde that she had vastly underestimated just how large the O.R.C.A.S was. From Calantha’s descriptions and the blueprints that the Mob Ops had, she had been able to put together a rough idea of what it might look like in her mind but nothing prepared her for seeing it up close. And with the walls surrounding it made it seem like a fortress - an impenetrable fortress.
Xanthos let out a whistle. "Bigger than I thought it would be."
"Are we okay to stop here?" Helia asked, shifting in her seat. “Won’t they be able to see us?”
“I don’t think so,” Calantha answered from upfront. “They wouldn’t be able to see far with the fog.”
“You’d better switch the headlights off to be safe,” Cherry suggested to Elio.
“So how are you planning on getting inside?” Wisteria asked after a few moments had passed. Zelde thought the woman was trying to get a rise from them again but to her surprise, she actually seemed genuinely curious. Or at least she did for a brief moment. “I do hope you’re not planning on knocking on the gates and hoping they’ll let you in.”
“We’re not knocking on the gate,” Elio answered, a hint of irritation in his voice as he responded. “Well...not in that sense at least.”
“What are you gonna do? Ram the car into it?”
“Yes.”
Zelde stiffened in her seat. “You must be joking.”
The nervous laughter that preceded any actual verbal response from Elio gave Zelde the confirmation she was looking for. Looking around at Helia and the rest of her teammates, Zelde noted that they all had similar confused and slightly worried expressions on their faces. Wisteria on the other hand seemed mildly amused by his answer.
“That doesn’t seem like a very safe idea...” Cordovan mused. “And what’s to say you’ll even be able to break through the gate?”
“Trust me, these bad boys are designed to take a hit, it’ll make it,” Elio responded confidently, before giving the roof a light punch with his fist. “You’d better make sure you’re all fastened in, kids. This could get bumpy!”
Zelde didn’t even get the chance to check before she lurched forward slightly with the sudden momentum of Elio reversing before suddenly accelerating. Genuinely fearing they wouldn’t even break through the gate, Zelde closed her eyes and braced for the impact. A loud bang echoed around the car, followed by the sound of metal scraping. To her relief - and surprise - they had actually made it through the gate unscathed and without issue. Everyone had been jostled around in the impact but were otherwise okay. Unfortunately, if the faint odour of smoke wafting around was anything to go by, the car had not fared so well.
Turning the engine off, Elio ordered everyone out of the car. Stepping outside, Zelde took a sharp intake of breath, unprepared for how much colder it felt now. Before huddling together with the rest of the group, Zelde took a moment to look around, making note of the now mangled gate, which was now sitting a short distance away from the car, along with a small portion of the wall which lay scattered between the two.
Further ahead, two beacons on either side of the doors into the building were beginning to flash an alarming shade of red, but interestingly enough there was no sound to accompany it.
"Silent alarms." Turning her head slightly, Zelde could see Calantha looking at her as she spoke. "Less likely to attract Grimm that way."
"No denying they know we're here then," Xanthos quipped.
"No doubt," Elio grinned in response. His smirk quickly faded as he began to speak again. "Okay once we head in, we’re going to go through and clear it floor by floor.” His red eyes shifted to ZRCN before continuing. “And if you see anyone you are not to engage by yourself, understood? Wait for one of us or Helia to assist, unless we give you permission.”
“And what about me?” Wisteria inquired. “Will I have to ask for permission too?”
Elio grunted a little. “No, but it would be preferable if you stuck close to us regardless.”
For a moment, Zelde thought Wisteria would argue against this, but the purple haired woman merely gave a shrug in response.
"Perhaps it would be more advisable for us to split into smaller groups," Morgan suggested. "We'll be able to go through more of the base quickly then, and smaller groups would be less noticeable to any potential enemies."
"Good point." Elio conceded. "Who wants to go with who?"
"I would like to try and find Bianca," Calantha said nervously. "If she sees me I am certain she would listen to my pleas and surrender. There are only a few places here that she frequents so I don't think it would take long to find her and then meet back up if we do decide to split into smaller groups that is."
"I could accompany you," Morgan offered politely, before turning his head to Elio. "Considering Calantha is a non-combatant, one of us should go with her to protect her."
"On a similar note, one of us should stay with her." Zelde turned to see Cherry gesturing towards Wisteria, who in turn rolled her eyes.
"I would like to scope out some of the larger rooms myself," Elio said. "Perhaps ZRCN could stick close to you, Cher? I'm certain Wren  would have our heads if we let them go off by themselves."
"No more than she will for us coming here in the first place," Cherry pointed out. "But sure - at least I can trust them not to do anything stupid. Just stay within eyesight, kids, and we'll be fine."
"And what about me?" Helia asked.
"I don't think it's wise for any of us to go alone," Cordovan said softly. "Maybe you should go with Elio?"
"I'd be fine with it," Elio responded, giving Helia a small smile.
Helia considered Cordovan's suggestion for a moment before nodding in agreement. Zelde wasn't sure she was hundred percent on board with the notion of them all splitting up into smaller groups, but she was comforted knowing Cherry was with them. At least if the worst happened they would have a Specialist watching their backs.
"Anyone got anything else to add?" Elio asked, looking to each of the group in turn. One by one, each of them shook their head no, and once Morgan had given his response, Elio gave a curt nod. "Okay, we all know the plan, let's go and get this over with. It's time for these assholes to pay for what they've done."

since flora's power is nature based, it would be perfectly valid if she had a spell called "grass blades" and she pulls out some dope ass grass swords

Rainbow has explored the Winx having to face their worst fears soo many times but they've only done it to the specialists like. once. and that was Riven's monster scene in s1 so I really want to know what they would see/have to go through if they got cursed like that!!
Like... Sky has so many issues so there are tons of things I could see being his worst fear but also. His major fucking trust issues? Dude... I imagine he would probably see Brandon or Bloom (depending on the season) being a secret spy/assassin sent to kill him. Like his trust issues go into everything with him and he's already implied that he doesn't fully trust Brandon, yknow, his literal best friend and fucking bodyguard. coolcoolcool
I feel like Brandon's worst fear would probably be someone close to him dying, even worse if it's his fault. He's already extremely protective of the people he loves, add on the responsibility to keep them safe and it's like... whew. I feel like it could be either Stella or Sky but all of them dying and him being the last survivor who could've prevented it is pretty bad too...
I'm not entirely sure what Timmy's worst fear is but I think Tecna/everyone leaving him could be up there. Even after he gets more confident, he's shown to still have some anxiety about Tecna finding someone better or the specialists secretly hating him (anxiety go brrr) so I think he would probably see something like that. Similar to Aisha seeing Nabu get mad at her for not saving him in s5? Like he might see Tecna insulting him or the specialists dropping him as a friend. WHEW
I feel like Riven's could still be him being a monster? But maybe after s1 it would be more focused on the other's reactions to him instead of his own? Like maybe him living out his worst fear would be similar to Tecna's in s5 when she got turned into an emotionless robot. Maybe he would start acting like an asshole to everyone completely out of his control and just have to watch as they all deal with it. Or maybe he would hear/see a private conversation between them where they talk about how much he's hurt/scared them. Baby girls got issues he still thinks they hate him </3 (I feel like it could also be everyone leaving him (just like his mom did </3) but him driving them away would hit harder I think)
I have no fucking clue what Helia's worst fear would be because this little bitch tells us nothing. It could be failing a mission and everyone dying, it could be Flora breaking up with him, it could be Saladin dying, it could be accidentally hurting someone. It could be those fucking grabbing vines. Who knows!! Not ME!!! I hate this dude.
