ALSO I WONDER WHERE EVERYTHING’S GONNA GO NOW THAT PENTIOUS PROVED SOULS CAN BE REDEEMED. now that they’ve proved it is the main plot going to be actually redeeming people? or is heaven gonna hide it from them??? can angel dust be redeemed when valentino owns his soul??? does angel dust truly WANT to be redeemed? once they know that you have to die to be redeemed are they gonna be able to take that risk?? now that i think of it wtf will be the main focus of season 2?? we know the vees play a big role so maybe they’ll try to prevent souls from leaving (maybe valentino will make it really hard for angel to leave and that’ll be a big part?) idk i got a lot of questions man

and it seems like they’re setting alastor up to be the main villain at the end. it seems although his mysterious deal isn’t allowing him to unleash his full power, so when he’s free of the deal i can only imagine how feral he could go. (my guess is that he uses the favor charlie promised to help release him from the deal and then charlie regrets it later when he goes crazy)

anyways all in all the finale is crazy good and i will NOT be getting over it any time soon and i am not ready to wait another few years 🥲

Honestly my hottest take of the year is that Thomas Sanders is fine and I think people should leave him alone. Like the worst thing you can say about him is that he's a cringy adult making content aimed at kids, and it's hard to watch a grown person act like that as an adult - but while we've seen adult influencers being extremely inappropriate with their child userbases in the past (Shane Dawson, the Paul brothers etc.), I don't think I've ever seen Thomas Sanders being inappropriate with his platform.

If anything, his perceived cringiness comes from his content being extremely sanitized and squeaky-clean for the most part, which people see as inauthentic because he's a 32 year old man. And yet I'd rather see an influencer like Thomas Sanders be popular rather than your Shane Dawsons and Paul brothers of the world, at least as a counterpoint to grown adults behaving badly. He actually comes across as an all-ages entertainer, or someone who could have his own kids show, as opposed to being a bigot or a child predator like so many influencers who court younger fanbases with inappropriate content.

If he has red flags that people are keeping an eye on, or if he does have a history of controversy that people are trying to keep an eye on, that's one thing. I don't follow Thomas Sanders, so if this post is misinformed, my askbox is open and I'm open to correcting the record. Otherwise - he comes across as someone who found his voice and his niche through his online content, and who understands his position and responsibility as an all-ages entertainer. His content comes off as sanitised and cringy? I don't care as long as he's behaving appropriately and that the people who do watch his content enjoy it.

#thomas sanders #here's the thing: I grew up with live action children's entertainment. grown adults pandering to childish sensibilities #stuff like play school - which is an Australian institution - and the wiggles and the hoolie doolies and stuff #obv. I grew out of that soon enough. and yeah it was cringy to see snippets of it the older I got #but that's because I aged out of the demographic #it might be going a bit far to say that thomas sanders is equivalent to play school or the wiggles #especially since what I've seen of his content is more aimed at teens #but the reason I'm bringing those properties up is because of course you're going to get sick of thomas sanders eventually #you're going to grow out of his humor. it is really squeaky-clean and sanitized. you wonder how anyone could enjoy that sort of thing #and because we're living in an era of irony poisoning you wonder how a grown man can act like such a cringy sanitized stereotype #like a theatre kid who never grew up #but that content is entertaining to people and thomas sanders has made a career of honing his passion for performance to fit that mold #and it's both successful and a valid counterpoint to other influencers #and he doesn't seem like an inappropriate creep. he seems like he takes his content and his fanbase seriously #i think he fills a gap in the online landscape that not a lot of people are willing to fill #given what I know about him - I think that's commendable. i view that as being in good faith #i don't care how cringy he is as long as he's not a fucking creep or a bigot trying to glamorize those aspects to his young audience #i see him as more of a children's/all-ages entertainer - and viewing him as a person I would be compelled to cringe too #but this is his career. this is a persona he performs as. and I genuinely don't think there's anything wrong with that #and I don't necessarily think it reflects the entirety of his personality either. dude's a grown man and he probably has his own life #outside of what we see that's so sanitized and cringy #so yeah in short - thomas sanders is fine and I'm not a fan of the hate #but if you don't like him that's understandable. like I don't even follow him as a content creator #i just don't think he should be made into a laughingstock for the content he produces. i think he's found his niche and hes doing a good job
