Theo Abbott→ One of Tadhg’s first friends, Theo is such a unique character and so fun. @smarti-at-smogwarts

Adelia Selwyn → Another one of Tadhg’s closest friends, Adelia is one of the best Slytherin girls out there. Her friendship with Tadhg is one of my favorites. @thatravenpuffwitch

Ivy Anders → Max’s girl. Ivy is one of the most fun Hufflepuff girls and is so unique. Her love of quidditch, baking, and parties are probably her most unique features. @kc-and-co

Josie Edwards → William’s girl. Josie is also a unique Hufflepuff girl. Her love of creatures coupled with a soft nature is what sets her apart from many of the other HL puff girls. I love her story with William. (Absolutely not biased or anything, but they might be my favorite of my HL/Victorian ships.) @slytherindisaster

Ethel Malinda → Rory’s girl. She’s such an interesting character, especially with the fact that she decides to reject her supposed place in the world. I like that she’s a journalist and I love the stuff that we’ve developed for Rethel. @gaygryffindorgal

Lyra Wilson → Huck’s girl. Lyra is amazing and I love how different her story. There aren’t many other HP OCs with Australian heritage. I love that she has different passions and just how unique she is. @cursebreakerfarrier

Scotty Rosier → Finn’s girl. Scotty is so much fun, even if I don’t know that much about her. She is such a fun character and I’ll also give a small shout-out to Wendy, who was one of my first intros to the joy of oc-oc friendships. @drinkyoursoupbitch

Women Appreciation Week - Day 3

Lady Mirai Wilson is the mother of Kiri Amaryllis (aka Wilson). I chose her as my favorite OC mother because her story makes me insanely sad :D She is forcibly separated from her infant daughter when she is like around 2 months old. Then she never sees her again as she sacrifices her own life to protect Death Eaters from being killed by Eme Amarathine during the Battle of the Ministry at the end of the second war (check out my fic The Phoenix Resistance!). Her bravery and kindness are my favorite things about her. She would never see her daughter grow up and follow in her footsteps of being a healer. Kiri is also a splitting image of her mother.

ava campbell: reading book two of tpr made me fall for ava quickly: reckless, badass, with a strong sense of justice and one of the strongest characters of the saga, ava is a well-developed and written character and i can't wait to dive into her stuff @lifeofkaze

ophelia burke; she's such an interesting character, and the true embodiment of abba's 'money money money'. She's cunning, smart and knows how to play the game, and i can't wait to see the last part of symphony @the-al-chemist

brianna o'rourke; she's an underrated baby, someone i highly relate to and her character alone without her li is so interesting and fun to read! A comfort character of mine @unfortunate-arrow

virginia scott; another underrated b!tch, she's literally what i aspire to be someday, not to mention an instant crush and fav, she deserves to be in this list @slytherindisaster

rowan and verna are an og friendship, and i adore their relationship a lot. while i headcanon rowan to be nonbinary, i think that they identified as a girl, since she probably didn’t have the vocabulary to voice their gender identity as a pureblood wizard in the 80s and 90s.

max avery and ginny weasley

max and ginny are dormmates and don’t start out as friends but they grow closer throughout their fifth and sixth years at hogwarts.

Niamh Kelly & Primrose Gray → These two come from very different backgrounds and overcome it to become friends, which is part of what makes them interesting. They don’t let things like class or nationality stand in the way of their friendship and over their time at Hogwarts, they become quite close. @endlessly-cursed

Minerva Kennedy & Lottie Gallagher → These two have such a darling friendship. I love these girls so much. I cannot wait to actually figure out exactly how Minerva reacts to her best friend being in a relationship with her twin brother because Minerva does not react well at first. She comes around and is very happy to have Lottie be family. @slytherindisaster

Cara O’Donnell & Ruth Lyman → A quite recent addition, but these two get along quite well. Their friendship starts at the tail end of their sixth year, and is one that continues on. They may have fallen out of touch post-Hogwarts and during the war, but they come back together. Cara is the one that Ruth asks to illustrate her children’s books. Cara is the one to push Ruth back into connecting with Conor after the war because she sees how they seem more alive with one another.

Sara O’Donnell & Nymphadora Tonks → These two are a rather unusual duo and could be described as a bit of an odd couple. However, somewhere along the way, these two began really close friends. Sara is made godmother of Teddy, although she generally leaves most of that stuff to the Potters and Weasleys because that’s a rather intimidating family to get into. Sara names her eldest daughter after Tonks and even honors her friend by not making her daughter’s full name Nymphadora.

Thea Whitten & Sage Carridan → These two have such a sweet friendship. Sage was one of Thea’s first friends and they’ve remained close friends ever since, eventually becoming family when Sage marries Thea’s cousin, Jack. They’re just both sweethearts and I adore them. @kc-and-co

mother of the quinn twins, gwendoline is an underdeveloped riddle era oc of mine. she’s a slytherin, smart as a whip, a little bit complicated, a little bit tragic, but i’m interested in developing her further.

mother of elian and theo goldcrest (with @potionboy3 ), kerina is the great granddaughter of salazar slytherin. she took part in the events of the goldcrest rebellion during its final stages in the 1200s. she died protecting her children from an attack of vampires.

juniper malinda, née raeburn

verna and jacob’s mum, and farrow’s aunt, juniper loves potions and collecting odd trinkets. she’s a little eccentric and has her head in the clouds, but she loves her family. after the disappearance of her eldest child, jacob, she is distraught and struggles to pull herself out of despair. she has a difficult relationship with her daughter but adores her grandchild roe.

princess louise of hesse and by rhine, duchess of alderly

while she is definitely not a great mum or even a good person, i love writing her and exploring her desperation over her situation. she never wanted children but she did what was expected of her and married thomas. she doesn’t know what to do with her son henry, especially when she was so very young herself when he was born. definitely an interesting character.

isabella, duchess of alderly

she’s a duchess on her own right! she’s constantly scheming and plotting and i love that for her!  she loves her children but is extremely misguided in her attempts to control their lives. quincey and olympia are both put off from inheriting alderly because of their mother’s helicopter parenting and their father’s absent-minded indifference. oh, she definitely married stefanos to one-up her sister amelia because she’s petty like that.

Day One: God Is a Woman (talk about your own favourite HP Women and why!) of @endlessly-cursed’s HP women appreciation week

→ My OG girls. Cara O’Donnell, Sara O’Donnell, and Ruth Lyman have pretty much been here since the beginning. They’ve come a long way since the beginning and are so much more fleshed out than they were nearly three years ago. I love these three girls so much. They’re all so different and I just love them.

Cara is chaotic and artistic. Sara is soft and strong-hearted. Ruth is intelligent and compassionate. Their stories intertwine (obviously given that Cara and Sara are sisters and Ruth marries their brother), but each have their own journeys. Cara has her own journey with her sexuality and finding her passion in life. Sara learns to say no and has one lifelong romance. Ruth goes through many different moments that lead to a heartfelt romance and a career as a professor and a children’s book author.

Honorable mentions because I love all my girls:

→ Orla O’Rourke, Niamh Kelly, and Brianna O’Rourke are all intertwined. Orla and Brianna are sisters, while Niamh and Orla become sisters-in-law. Of course, as they marry the Lynch boys, they never actually meet or have a relationship. And Niamh was my OG legacy girl.

→ Georgie Parsons and Minerva Kennedy are, in a way, two sides of the same coin. They’re both independent women in a time when that’s not exactly appreciated. They both have a rivals-to-lovers type romance. They’re both the eldest sister and lost a parent at a young age.

→ Aisling Lynch has slowly been forming. Yes, she’s had a name change, but she’s also been coming into her own lately. Aisling is just a fascinating combination of Tadhg and Niamh, personality-wise.

→ Professor Camila Valdez is my only professor oc and that gives her a special place. She’s technically part of the Golden Era too, which provides a whole lot of fun things to play. She’s always about five seconds away from punching Draco Malfoy in his smug little face because he just needs to shut up. She’s wages her own war against Dolores Umbridge by tutoring younger students in DADA. She’s just got so much unexplored aspects as well, that she’s hard not to enjoy.

→ Thea Whitten is my OG magic awakened girl. She’s a darling and not exactly what you would expect. She’s a baker and a florist and plays beater. She’s chaotic force, mostly when she’s with her cousin, Jack though. I just love Thea a lot. She also has the honor of being one of the OG girls as she began sometime around when Niamh did.

→ Sophie Pembroke might be the newest and most underdeveloped, but I’m quite invested in the way that she’s revealing little parts of herself. She’s a sort of fascinating combination of Pembrokes who came before her, inheriting Max’s and Ivy’s passion for quidditch and the whole “falling in love with a tall seeker” thing.

Day Four: Mother's Daughter (Talk about a female fankid that you love) of @endlessly-cursed’s HP women appreciation week

Lucretia “Lucy” and Matilda “Mattie” Devlin → Two of William Devlin and Josie Edwards’s (@slytherindisaster) three daughters, Lucy and Mattie each take after one of their parents. Lucy has her mother’s passion for nature and creatures, while Mattie has her father’s creativity but channels it into both piano and painting. Both girls also have their parents’ reserved natures (Mattie is more outgoing, though) and are both twins. Lucy is an identical twin, while Mattie is a fraternal twin.

Catherine “Kate” O’Neill → One of Rory O’Neill and Ethel Malinda’s (@gaygryffindorgal) twin daughters, Kate is her father’s daughter. She’s quite similar in personality to him, without all the trauma. She’s passionate about quidditch, but has never loved playing the sport and instead follows her mother’s footsteps into journalism, focusing on writing about quidditch.

Theodora “Dora” O’Donnell-Lee → The eldest daughter of Sara O’Donnell and Barnaby Lee, Dora is her mother’s daughter coupled with her father’s passion for creatures. Perhaps one of the first fankids I have, Dora has had many different iterations over the past few years. She’s always remained soft and passionate about animals. She is the eldest of the O’Donnell cousins, having three younger siblings and six younger cousins. Dora can be quite protective of her younger siblings and cousins.

Flora MacKade → The only daughter of Finn MacKade and Scotty Rosier (@drinkyoursoupbitch), Flora is the second eldest MacKade cousin. She’s a fascinating combination of her mother and father and my only female character who goes on to play quidditch professionally. Flora is plays chaser on her quidditch teams and often keeps an eye on her younger brother and cousins.
