daffodil ⇢ do you have siblings? if yes, in what ways do you think you’re similar to or different from them?

I have 2 older sisters, and one little brother. I think I'm sorta a blend between my two older sisters, most like my oldest (both queer, ADHD, nerdy), and my little bro is similar to us, with our other sister as the "normal" and religious outlier.

chamomile ⇢ what kind of things do you like receiving as gifts?

Lots of things, it's nice when I get what I ask for, or something spontaneous or personal. One thing I always want/need more of is hugs

nutmeg ⇢ how’s your room/home decorated? do you have a specific theme or style going on?

It's very small and messy which I don't like lol. I don't think I really have a style, just lots of pretty art/fanart on my walls, lots of bookshelves, lots of blankets. More what's affordable/practical than things I actually like the look of.

So just watched the first 2 Legend of Vox Machina episodes! HOLY CRAP I LOVE IT! I feel like I get/appreciate more now how this animated adaptation differs from the campaign, so excited to see where it goes. First ep felt like the transition between the SHITS and Vox Machina, and now second ep heading into the briarwood arch- so many great little moments, can't wait to rewatch on Friday, and now I want a Gilmore hug even more

It’s past midnight on the east coast which means it’s 8/18, and officially my one year anniversary post top surgery. Here is undoubtedly the worst picture of me ever taken, that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

To those who have yet to take this step but desperately want to; please keep holding on. Because five years ago I was fucking miserable and convinced it would never happen. Now I can actually stand to look in a mirror. I fucking promise you, it will happen. Just keep pushing forward.

baker/chef au

1) Contrary to popular belief, Geralt is the baker and Jaskier is the chef - Jaskier likes to improvise and make new dishes and try new seasonings. Somehow, nearly every experiment he does turns out pretty good - and he always sings as he works. Geralt has been baking for a long time and has a solid set of recipes that are exact and have to be done exactly that way or they don’t turn out right. 

2) Geralt angry bakes. This is both good and bad for Jaskier because it means that Geralt gets his feelings out and he also gets good desserts... but it also means that he knows when Geralt is upset and has to resist the urge to ask him what’s wrong because when Geralt is ready he’ll talk. 

3) When Jaskier visits the bakery everyone thinks the bubbly man that practically bounces with energy must be the owner - they, without fail, blink in shock when Jaskier says proudly that it’s his husband who runs it. His husband who looks like he could lift three of Jaskier, more often than not has a scowl on his face, and is always dressed in some form of black or grey. 

4) Geralt can’t eat most restaurant food now because Jaskier’s food is the best. Date nights are usually spent at home, cooking each other their favorite things. Jaskier sings and Geralt doesn’t complain about it, not once, because he does think Jaskier has a nice voice - it’s just he doesn’t like the usual bubbly, vapid things he sings. On date nights, he usually sings softer things that wrap around Geralt’s heart. 

5) This AU is really just that Craig Claiborne quote - “Cooking is at once child’s play and adult joy. And cooking done with care is an act of love.”

“No one has a romantic bone in their body anymore! What happened to playing songs outside windows, glitter and sparkles on handmade Valentine’s cards, dancing in the rain!? What happened?!” Jaskier's hands were moving faster than Geralt could follow. He sat near Roach, she was huffing into his shoulder, he patted her head gently. 

"I know." He whispered to her, Jaskier's eyes flashed but he didn't dwell on it. Just continued his rant. He'd been shouting into the ether for almost twenty minutes, Geralt wasn't sure what to do. He knew Jaskier liked when he talked, but he had no idea what to say. 

"I mean is it so much to ask for some romance?? I do all I can to romance my partners! And does anyone even attempt to return the favor? No! Absolutely not! They just use me and toss me aside!" His hands flailed again, Geralt could tell he wasn't genuinely upset. Not in a real way. But Geralt felt something stir in his gut at the mention of Jaskier being used and tossed aside. His hands fisted against his thighs. 

"I just want to be cared for the way I, very generously, care for others! Why is that so much to ask? Geralt what are you doing? Where are you going?" Geralt can hear the bard scurrying after him through the trees. Geralt's eyes move quickly over the ground, searching for the thing he needs. 

"I am in the middle of a breakdown and you just walk away?!" Geralt doesn't have to look at him to know his hands are perched on his hips. 

"I mean it is very in character for you I'm not sure why I'm surprised." He's mumbling to himself now, Geralt smiles and keeps walking. He huffs, still not finding what he's looking for. Jaksier catches up to him and matches his stride, his shoulder bumping into Geralt's as they walk through the trees. 

"So… you just taking a stroll, or are we looking for something?" Geralt pauses, looks at him, keeps walking. 

"Looking for something." He grumbles, eyes still scanning the ground. 

"Ah, so helpful in your description as always." Geralt can see him rolling his eyes. He smiles again, turning away from Jaskier to hide it. And then he sees them. He walks straight over, stomps really, and bends down. Jaskier hovering behind him, still mumbling about the lack of romancing in his life, and Geralt's lack of talking, and descriptions, and how he should "share" more. 

Geralt grabs a handful of the flowers, bright yellow, so cheerful, reminding him of Jaskier's smile. He turns, and hands the flowers to Jaskier, pressing them to his chest gently. Jaskier's hands wrap around the stems, gently taking them from Geralt.

"What- what are these?" Jaskier asks, looking at Geralt with wide eyes. 

"I can't sing. I've never been good at crafts… and it's not raining. You'll have to settle for this. For now." Geralt mumbles, looking at the ground. 

"Not… raining… oh! Oh. Oh Geralt." Geralt hears his voice go soft. Watches as Jaskier's feet come into view. And then his fingers are touching Geralt's chin, gently lifting his head so he can look him in the eyes. Geralt's stomach flutters at the look in Jaskier's eyes. The bard reaches out, his fingers touching Geralt's arm softly. 

"They're beautiful." He smiles, that blinding thing Geralt has a hard time looking directly at for too long. But he makes an effort, for Jaskier. 

"I can dance though. Next time it rains… I'm yours." Geralt says, eyes still on Jaskier's mouth. He watches that mouth smirk, and feels warmth crawl across his skin. Jaskier presses closer, into Geralt's space, so close he can feel the warmth of him, it makes his head swim. 

"I'll hold you to that my dear." He whispers, and presses his lips to the corner of Geralt's mouth, it's fleeting, a barely there press of skin to skin, and then he's gone. Walking back to camp, smiling down at the flowers in his hands. Geralt presses his fingers to his mouth, his skin burning where Jaskier's lips had touched him, oh so softly, and followed the bard, who was humming to himself now, back to camp.

36. 3 dreams you want to fulfill?

oh no I’m gonna have to be introspective aaaaa

1 - I want something I’ve written to become real. I write fiction and scripts, so that would mean either getting a book published or getting a script made into a show/movie

2 - I want to fill in all my blank spaces with tattoos. This is a weird dream, but there we go! I have a lot of skin that needs inking.

3 - I want to live by the seaside. Ideally I’d like to move to Cornwall, where I can get a dog and walk them across the beach when I’m not writing

(be as cheeky as you like! and ask for as many as you like!!!!! this prompt seemed to call for angst and so, as is my nature, i threw a curve ball and went comedy! ...i was also feeling cheeky so, you get silliness with Roach and Jaskier. And an adoring Geralt! All the best things really! haha! thank you so much for sending one in!!!

Geralt’s eyes move slowly to whereJaskier is sitting cross legged, leaning against Roach’s back. She’s lying onthe ground, sniffing at his shoulder as the bard speaks to him. His voice shakingwith emotion. Geralt stares, watches Jaskier cut a slice of apple with thesmall dagger he’d given him, and pop the piece in his mouth. Roach pressedcloser to him, her nose and mouth searching out the sweet fruit in his hands.

“And I know!” Jaskier continues,his voice rising dramatically.

“I know we’ve been through a lot mylove. So much! The initial disdain. All those times you bit me. And stole myfood.” He glares at her for a moment before continuing.

“All the traveling. And thewalking. And the bonding over dealing with a pig headed witcher who alwaysseems to park us far too close to danger.” Jaskier’s eyes glance toGeralt, a smile on his lips, and then back to his apple.

“And I know! That I’ve grown onyou. And you on me. But alas my dearest, I cannot. I simply CANNOT! Give you abite of this apple.” He popped another piece into his mouth, laughing aroundhis mouthful as Roach pressed closer still, snuffling down his arm, nearly knockinghim over.

“Ah! Back you beast! I said no! I saidno and I meant no!” Jaskier pushed at her head, gently, despite the drama inhis voice. Geralt watched him lean his own head against hers. His eyes fallingclosed for a moment as he rested there, his hand scratching at the side of her headbefore reaching back down to the apple. He made a show of looking around, hishead moving in all directions, he narrowed his eyes at Geralt until the witcherwas forced to look away. He continued mending the sleeve of his armor that hadbeen slashed on his last job, his ears focused on Jaskier as he cut another sliceoff the apple in his hand.

“Alright my darling. Just one more piece.Just between you and me. No one else has to know.” The bard’s voice was but awhisper, Geralt snuck a glance and watched Roach gently take the fruit from hishand, Jaskier smiling at her and kissing her head.

“I saw that.” Geralt said dryly.

“No one else has to know I said!!”Jaskier repeated, his voice rising. Roach huffed loudly, like she wasadmonishing Geralt for preventing her from receiving more fruit from the bard. Geraltlooked over at them fully now, he was met with both of them glaring at him. He couldn’tstop the smile that curled his lips.

“Apologies.” He lifted his hand,offering a surrender. Jaskier’s ever bright smile returned and he leaned back againstRoach once more, his eyes falling closed again, both of them soaking in theafternoon sunlight. Geralt went back to work, sewing his armor back togetherwith ease.

Nearly half an hour later he heardRoach sigh deeply. He moved his eyes back to them, smiling again as Jaskierreached his hand down past his leg and retrieved another apple. He wiped it onthe front of his shirt and then moved it closer to her.

“Just the one more.” He sighed, completelyrelaxed against her. He let her eat it, and brought his hand to rest againsther, the back of his fingers moving against her head.

“Until dinner. Then you can have, what?Three? Four more?” he asks, turning his head to her, though his eyes were stillclosed. She huffed into his shoulder, bowing her head into him.

“Four more it is.” He agreed, hisvoice soft with sleep. Geralt watched Roach press just a little bit closer. Jaskier’shand slid slowly down her nose as he drifted off to sleep. She sniffed at hishand for a moment, making absolutely sure that he didn’t have anything more forher to eat, and rested her head against the bard. Geralt looked at them for along time, watching his two favorite people sleeping in the sun.
