We find out about Yukio's plans for the first gen MANKAI troupe members.

Come to think of it, we talked about it back then too.

Hakkaku-san’s Shinsengumi, another troupe wanted to do the same thing. We never settled on it in the end.

Syu

Don’t tell me, Hakkaku-san left behind a script?

Yukio

Nope, I decided to write it myself this time.

Kasumi

You did, Yukio-san?

Syu

I don’t recall you writing a screenplay before.

Reni

He used to write a lot in highschool, he makes quick work when he’s excited. I had a chance to check it out, it’s mostly finished.

Yukio

I have a general idea of what I wanted to do with the Shinsengumi story since I used to talk about it with Hakkaku-san back then.

Kasumi’s friend :] he was the original leader of summer troupe, at Mankai company. The two of them worked together as leaders for their respective troupes(Kasumi is springs leader) until a big scandal came out about the company. After popularity in them seemed to decline, Kasumi took it as an opportunity to branch out. Hiro, however, stayed behind. One by one, each actor had left Mankai company behind, and I believe Hiro was the last of them all to leave. This soured his opinions on his time there, some of this pessimism bleeding into his conversations with the new summer troupe leader, Tenma. Aside from that, he’s a famous actor and loving father towards his son! His son, who, has a fascination with Tenma, who happens to also be a famous actor. Later in the story, the two get to act in a movie together, to which Hiro mentions he jealous of how much his son talks about Tenma. He won’t be beaten by him! …but Tenma wasn’t really trying in the first place 😅

Yukio: …I think Zen-san was the one who figured it out. Actually, I was a little afraid, too.

And it did, the quietness calmed me down just as I wanted it to.

No matter how pent-up I was, the only solution was to go back to the rehearsals.

In the end, I had no choice but to bicker again in the rehearsal room.

With that in mind, I tried to go back to practice… that was the plan until the door wouldn’t open.

“Huh? What the hell?”

It opened earlier, but now it wouldn’t budge.

The door didn't move as if it was merged with the wall, no matter if I pushed or pulled, even though there wasn’t a lock attached.

“Useless… I can’t get out.”

I tried everything, but there was no sign of the door opening.

A piercing regret punctured my chest, wondering what I was even doing.

I had a play I wanted to do right now, and I didn’t have any time to act all weird about it. If I had another chance, I’d do anything to make up for it.

“Forgive me, God of Theater! Please let me out!”

As soon as I got down on my knees and shouted, the door swung open.

“...The hell are you doing.”

Zen held the door open with a dumbfounded look on his face.

With an expression just as flabbergasted, I turned to my heels and acted like it was nothing.

“I came to get you since it was time to eat, didn’t mean to intrude.”

He tried to close the door once more,

In desperation, I slid my body through the gap in the door and stopped it.

“You don’t gotta rush.” “I rushed out cause I’ve been stuck since the door wouldn’t open!” “No reason it wouldn’t.”

I felt like salt was rubbed into my wounds, but it didn’t matter anymore now that I was finally free to go out into the hallway.

“...What’s for lunch?”

“It’s karaage.”

“That’s my favorite! Wait, no way…” “...”

“Ugh, gross…” “It was just a coincidence. Don’t make it weird.”

“I’M making it weird——!?”

We still had a fierce fight at the next rehearsal in the end, but we had a great first day of the mixed performance which was made from repeated clashing.

I was never on the same page with him no matter how hard I tried to.

But it all turned out well in the end.

*Door opens*

Yuzo

You got back pretty quick, surprisingly.

Hiro

I can’t make a habit of just loitering about. I ended up just buying some water.

Besides, the only solution lies in the rehearsal room.

Syu

Hiro

I don’t usually get upset even during a performance like this in a long while, but I just really can’t get along with Zen.

and listen i've been DYINGGG for crumbs of syu and tsumugi's dynamic because compared to the other three leader duos we don't have a good idea of what they are??? they hardly have as much interactions together is what i mean!!! they seem to be in this safe distance which is fine but yknow i hoped we could see them interact more. and then syu's ssr drops and his backstage throws syu and tsumugi straight onto stage together in ONNAGATA ROLES my jaw dropped when i saw the sprites it was legit a motherquake. currently praying for my fuyu leader mutuals rn

and don't get me started on hiro's backstage oh my god. firstly hiro's son TAKUMA HYUGA!!!! he's such a baby he's so cute he loves tenma so much!!! he's so lucky to have an entire group of big brothers one of which is The Sumeragi Tenma he's been a fan of for so long!!! him asking for a tenma standee in front of hiro was funny as hell too KSHJFKSFGSDKFG and hiro's so cute his disguise is the exact same as tenma with those glasses the writing team really loves to add parallels each chance they get??? keep it coming though. also did you know hiro got good at crane games just so he can get stuff for his son he fathered so hard.

and the way when hiro was telling the other 1st gen that he understands why takuma loves tenma so much and once again starts spilling compliments about tenma and kasumi was like Lol you stan him and hiro's like SHHH I DO NOT!!! KJHGKSJFDGSFDG i'm sorry i love them so much i love how 1st gen interacts with newborn mankai it's so feel good. i waited so long for more content of them and the fact that it's here and there's more coming makes me so happy. please read the backstages they're just so sweet
