((If you want, how would member of the clergy react to being like- bitten?? In a loving playful way?? Cause I like- gnaw on things/people I like and I wanna make sure I don’t get my ass kicked))
-Valentine’s Anon <3
[I'm sorry, I don't use a lot of tone indicators, is "/gen" supposed to say "genuine"? Also, thenk ye eitherway.]
Reaction to being bitten (cuteness aggression?)
Morell will manually grab your jaw and shut it. Listen. He's poisonous. If you end up actually tearing a chunk out of him, which is unlikely, you'll probably have a quick reaction to his natural poison and die. It's really cute of your feral ass, but he would rather not see you spasm on the floor and froth violently because you were impulsive enough to ignore his warnings.
Santi moans. Because what else were you expecting, really? Although his skin is mostly very dark, he encourages you to bite harder so that a mark will be left. He loves wearing claims on his body, you're allowed to bite anywhere. He doesn't just return the favor, he's very opportunistic and will get as much saliva on you as he can. Then wait for the effects to take...
Grimbly's instincts tell him you're hungry when you're doing that. So he's probably going to get flustered and suggest you go out somewhere to eat. It actually makes him jump and yelp, even if your teeth are quite blunt, his lizard brain says you're going to tear him open using fangs you don't physically have.
Gallon will let you bite him and then promptly trap you. Have you ever seen those cartoons where a character gets their tongue stuck to something frozen? Yeah, that's you smartass. Then, he'll act as if you won't let go of him, which is quite rude, you know? He thinks it's honestly hilarious, you can eat a piece of him if you want, but he doesn't taste all that good.
Nebul will always see biting as a punishable offense. If you want to be a dog so bad, he'll get you a little muzzle. It's only coming off if you ask politely, and after an adequate apology, naturally. Matter of fact, maybe you'd like a chew toy too. Sit still, he's sure he has a bowl somewhere. Now that you've fully embraced your role as a mutt, things will be much easier. He's scary, you'll never know when he's joking or serious.
Vinnel wonders if you just enjoy the taste of fabric. Also, stop that, you're getting him soggy. In his dickish ways, the performer will rip someone's shirt off and offer it to you, so you can chew and drool on it rather than him. He may look like one, but he's not a doll, so kindly don't mess with his life support. He'd bite you back, but it's not worth the risk, so he just laughs and pinches you hard when you start chewing.
Patches shamefully enjoys the pain, so he won't really say anything about your weird habit. He's going to sit there awkwardly with bated breath, silently wishing you would bite harder, and in more places. He's probably the one who loves this habit of yours the most, all things considered. You'll probably get him to moan too at some point.
Fank-e thinks this is hilarious. Yeah sure, bite him all you want! It looks silly! You will most likely damage your teeth, he doesn't feel a second of it. But hey, if you're biting him, it means you're paying attention to him, so in his eyes, it's a good thing. Does he taste good?
Belo doesn't immediately understand what this behavior means, so when you bite him, the angel's just going to be upset and ask you why you're so mad at him. Once it registers, he's going to ask you not to do it so often for a couple of reasons. One, it's distracting, two you're soaking his fur, three- You're probably also eating some of his fur and that can't be good for you.
Sybastian is probably one of monsters you definitely don't want to bite, because he absolutely bites back, and a love bite from that bear trap of a mouth is a total gamble in terms of how maimed you'll get. He welcomes biting however, so do it at your own risk. More than that, he prefers licking, which is less dangerous for the two of you.
You have a lot of nerve to bite Krulu. You know he could just make your teeth fall off one by one if he wanted to, yes? Although he senses your affection, you must learn other methods of displaying it adequately. Do it too often and Krulu will pretend to return the gesture just to frighten you.

Erhmm.. me being a gay little freak under the cut
Tumblr media
Absolutely OBSESSED with this gif of him, like, HELLO??
His little fangs make me insane. Positively unwell. I am gonna scream.
No but fr good teeth (and by that I do not necessarily mean straight, white etc teeth, I mean teeth with personality y’know like crooked or oddly sharp. Idk. You understand.) are so ridiculously hot to me, and Murdoc’s are just … WOWIE/pos
I need him to fucking bite me. Just chomp down on my collarbone or something and go nuts. I need him to use me like a fucking chew toy. I want my skin to be littered with his bite marks by the end of it all, fading into bruises, some deeper than others, by the morning and next day…
He’s so eager to mark me up in any way I’ll allow, be it with his hands, leaving finger print shaped bruises in their wake or with his mouth, leaving hickeys and bite marks all over me, anywhere he can.
And of course, despite his damn near feral enthusiasm for it all, he always is so attentive and gentle handling me after it’s all over, hands ghosting over any more painful injuries as he wipes me down and cleans me up. And the praise and gentle reassurances.
“Such a good boy, you did so well for me, darling.”
“Ah, ah, I know it stings but you gotta let me clean you up, don’t worry I won’t press hard.”
Or the day after when I do my best to make the evidence of the prior night less conspicuous..
“Aww sweetheart, you don’t need to cover those up.. I want everyone to know, you’re mine~”
Just… AUGHHH/pos
SORRY EVERYONE/lh

last christmas is what plays on the radio when diluc is driving home, much to his dismay. every radio is playing the same songs he can't be bothered to listen to, this one in particular striking a chord inside him. but he would still take the irritation over remembering them. he stops at the red light, glances at the clock. almost six. the unpleasant train of thought prompted by memories he had nearly forgotten was abruptly stopped when a figure crashed into his car. startled, he quickly exited the vehicle and saw a person sprawled on the snowy ground with two bags of groceries from which some goods had fallen. he notices the newly formed dent on his car and resists the urge to sigh as the person groans in pain.
later that evening, he sits in the stranger's living room (after they insisted on cooking for him as an apology) and nearly sneers as the damned song plays again. but when he looks at your smiling face as you bring the main dish, he thinks that maybe he could give 'it' to someone special
I AM GOING TO CRY /pos
chews on diluc like a chew toy,,, i love him,,, squeezes him aggressively
yes diluc you can give me “it” lip bite aha
but this is so cute this is so cute i’ll run face first into diluc’s car any day if it means i can hang out with him,,, ultimate meeting story like “oh how did you meet?” “i slammed face first into his car after tripping”
the way i could cook this man the nastiest dish known to man and he would pretend to eat it up like it’s a 5* delicacy because he doesn’t want to be impolite
thank you for writing this for me! i’ve reread this like 4 times with a stupid grin on my face bc it’s such a cute concept /pos

I don't see "multiple scraps of paper, napkins, and receipts that must be pieced together five years later when you find them while moving"
I think that makes you the DM. :D

i need this and need this NOW i don't care if they have to film it over zoom in their prospective kitchens and eliot's hair is actually a mop on top of his head I NEED THIS!
Honstly I’d pay cash dollars to see Christian Kane play Eliot in a wig fashioned from a mop. I was never even fond of the long hair, I much prefer it when he wore it short, but I know that Eliot’s Hair is extremely important to fandom and it did reach a certain peak of gloriousness that has rarely been rivaled in television history.

@arukou-arukou because lamingtons are cake? Which is a weird thing for chips to be flavoured with. I don't recall seeing those ones in stores, but I wouldn't have bought them anyway because I don't like coconut
bluroux replied to your photo “ALL. THE. CRISPS. @underanothername let me know there was a large...”
I have heard from several Aussies and a few Kiwis that the Lamington crisps are an abomination, and proof that Australia has gone very, very wrong somewhere along the line...
I love this whole exchange but I feel compelled to add also that as a flavor it’s very confusing to Americans, who have generally not encountered a lamington. I don’t know if Aussies are aware of this but lamingtons look a little like small dark-rinded cheeses so I assumed from the photo, which I saw before the text, that it was some kind of smelly-cheese flavored crisp. Biting into a lamington crisp while expecting, say, gorgonzola, would have been an interesting experience.
brilliant-starlight replied to your photo “Found the most hipster of hand sanitizer at the hardware store...”
I think this is significantly less hipster now than it would be if you found it before the pandemic since a lot of distilleries have switched production over to sanitizer. Seems only fair they still get to brand stuff.
I have to say I’m dying for the Malort hand sanitizer bottle. I’ll take it empty, I just want the bottle.

yah but it seems Noah Wyle will be doing Nate's job, and to paraphrase Nate, the point in that conversation where I punch Noah Wyle in the throat nine or ten times would come up FAST. I really did not like him in Librarians *at all*. He could really, really fuck up the role of Mastermind here.
He was a lot in The Librarians, but that was also heavily contextual. I’ve seen him in roles where he didn’t chew the scenery like that, and I suspect he really cut loose in The Librarians because the movies were super cheese fests so he knew he could get away with it, and also he’s meant to be the slightly undependable swashbuckling geek dad. He put a bit more manic energy into Flynn than I think most people would have, and more than he put into the movies previous, but his character in Leverage will be in a very distinct context from that -- if he IS an experienced crook like the others he’ll still be a newcomer to their established group, and if he’s a white hat like Nate was, all the more so he’ll be the student, not the teacher. Like, I have reservations about it too, but I’m willing to give him a very generous benefit of the doubt, especially having been a fan of his from ER.
I wish I had the show runner’s ear, I’d pitch Bobby Dismas to them as another addition. :D Hacker, hitter, grifter, thief, mastermind, data nerd.
swingprince replied to your photoset “Post office bounty! I posted this image yesterday but fucked something...”
What does one need to do to get people to send them stuff?
I mean, there’s no way to say this that doesn’t make me sound like I’m being an asshole or think you’re one, which I don’t because I get the drift of the question, but I think you can’t really start from a place of “I want to get people to send me stuff.”
It wasn’t something I set out to do, but after many years in fandom someone said I should get a PO Box, and I did, and posted it in my tumblr, and people sent me stuff. It’s a slightly strange experience for me not because I think it’s weird but because I sometimes wonder why people would bother to send gifts, but I remind myself that people are generous and want to reach out, and sharing a connection over crisps or cat toys or salt and pepper shakers is a fun way to do it. I always make sure I post photos so people know I’m grateful and enjoying their gifts and letters, and when I know someone and know they’d like a thing I’ve found, I sometimes send packages or letters out myself. It’s less a transaction than it is a gesture of friendship or affection -- it’s a strengthening of a relationship that was already there.

Apparently, Children, and Click: |pot Found in an empty apartment 4 days after his beloved parent died, a sweet, special boy, waits for a new family to love him. Id 15154, 2 Yrs & 8 Mos. old, Heartbroken & waiting, at the Manhattan ACC TO BE KILLED 8/22/19 SPOT was found with his bonded sibling SOX in an empty apartment, 4 days AFTER their beloved parent had died. They had sat during that time, cuddled together as day turned into night and night turned into day, wondering what had happened to the person they had built their lives around since they were puppies. They comforted each other, even as they looked at their empty food dishes and their water dish, now empty. Stomachs rumbling, parched with thirst, hearts broken, and confusion in their eyes. And then they were found. The police came and they wagged furiously, hoping this stranger would take them to their parent. But instead they were brought to the shelter, separated when they got there, and each put in their own kennel. Now they wait, and when the shelter goes silent at night, they each stare into the night, wondering where each other are, as they reflect on the life they lost and all the precious memories that now only bring sadness and longing instead of happiness and delight. Won’t you help them out? Foster or adopt Spot or Sox or BOTH – they are bonded after all. And they deserve to be given back their smiles. Message our page or email us at [email protected] for assistance. Most recently, Spot has become more challenging to handle due to leash biting and at times mounting handlers. he has not had further follow up around other dogs, and a period of decompression is recommended before immediate follow up on behavior around dogs. ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Spot so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: 8/13: When Sox 15155 is being walked past Spot's kennel, Spot sees Sox and greets her through the kennel door with a wagging tail. 8/12: Spot fixated on people and objects, staring at them intensely, whining, and howling. 8/11: Spot jumps up on the handler and attempts to mount. It is hard to distract him from this behavior. He also repeatedly jumps up and bites the leash. He could not easily be distracted and continued to focus of the leash for the remainder of the handling assessment. Please see handout on Low threshold for arousal. Leash-biting: When Spot becomes excited and aroused, he is quick to jump up and grab the leash in his mouth. This behavior intensifies and he is difficult to distract. Please share sweet ATLAS for a loving home. A volunteer writes: Atlas…a big name for a chocolate rabbit!!! Atlas is a tall dog with bunny ears, handsomely dressed and with an engaging horsey face. He is strong, hence his name, but so perfectly manageable even by an older person like me. A good walker he is, likely house trained (as stated by his former owners) and very polite with all dogs neared, big and small, males and females. Atlas is very obedient and eager to please. He comes on the double when called and sits at once when asked for treats. He loves to eat and I must say that despite his very healthy looks, he could use a few more pounds. Atlas is super friendly and very affectionate. Ask him to hop on the bench and he will shower his caretaker with a waterfall of kisses. He is sooooo sweet! Atlas comes with the best credentials and is said to be friendly, playful and welcoming of all, including kids and…cats. I hope I have enticed you to come and meet wonderful Atlas who is sure to make your life as bright and happy as a summer day. He is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. Summary: Based on history and observation, slow introductions are recommended between Atlas and respectful dogs. Summary (1): 4/24: When introduced off leash to the female greeter dog, Atlas engages in bouts of running play with some attempt to mount. Date of initial: 22-Apr-2018 Summary: Atlas allowed handling. ENERGY LEVEL: Atlas' previous owner described him as having a high level of activity. He is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: EXPERIENCE (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with the behaviors outlined below) Potential challenges: Basic manners/poor impulse control Kennel presence Potential challenges comments: Basic manners/poor impulse control; Atlas jumps up a lot on people in a social manner. It is recommended that default behaviors such as "Leave it", "Sit/Stay", "Down" are reinforced to substitute any frustration and teach him to control his impulses instead of simply reacting; proper management is also advised. Force-free, reward based training only is recommended. Kennel presence: In his kennel, Atlas scratches and bites at the bars to get out. While we cannot be certain if this behavior will appear in any other contexts, in highly emotionally charged or stressful environments Atlas may show behavior similar to what he is currently demonstrating in his kennel. We recommend potential adopters be comfortable managing this behavior and keeping themselves safe in any similar future situations. Animals, Cats, and Children: COOPERC 64691 5 years old, 50 lbs at manhattan acc hoping for a 2nd Chance Good looking, compact, anxious and unsure at the shelter but tail waggy too, smart, follows some commands During assessment he was social & soft bodied TO BE KILLED - 6/15/2019 How does a young fella stand out in a crowd?? Charm the pants off them, that's exactly what Cooper demonstrates. This super friendly, attention seeking, soft bodied and social greeter knows a thing or ten about winning people over. His big brown eyes, supersized smile, and lush, downy coat are just the beginning. Cooper knows the competition is Ruff, so he will drop and roll, stand up to greet, and showed his willingness to cooperate for a medical exam while wearing a muzzle. Pretty impressive! This youngster has lots of happy energy, super playful, treat motivated, and assumes all people are friends. He's mid sized and full of vibrancy. It's easy to love him! He recently arrived at the shelter, sadly he was no sooner listed to be destroyed. If you are interested in saving this cheerful baby boy through fostering or adopting, please reach out to this page. He should be kept out of dog park environments or areas of high dog traffic. A muzzle is recommended for outdoor walks. 6/3: When introduced to the helper dog through the gate, Brady lunges, growls, and snaps. He continues to remain fixated and growl until the helper dog is moved out of close proximity. 6/4: Cooper is introduced to a realistic prop dog walked on leash. From a distance, he begins to growl, rushes over, and bites. ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Cooper so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: Cooper has shown reactivity towards dogs throughout his time at the care center. Cooper will attempt to cage fight when being walked into and out of the room, and will also bark at and pull towards dogs he sees on leash. Once he has started to react, he cannot be distracted with treats or calling. BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: Level 3 Behavior Asilomar: TM - Treatable-Manageable Recommendations:: No young children (under 5),Single-pet home,Recommend no dog parks Recommendations comments:: No young children: Due to the high level of jumping up seen at the care center, we recommend a home without young children. Chance! 2oln A watiting for Dove **** TO BE KILLED - 3/21/2019 **** Who is the girl with the beautiful face, doe eyes, butterfly ears, and sideways heart marking above her right eye? Diamond is delightful to look at, though these days her big brown eyes are filled with sadness and loneliness. Just over a year old, she belonged to a home with a five year old child which she cherished. Super smart, adept in several commands, crate trained and described by her prior home as friendly and independent. Though she was not introduced to dogs until arriving at the care center, she was tolerant to both dogs. Losing her home wasn't hard enough, now the shelter is faulting her for being frightened. She crouches, her eyes are either forlorn or wide eyed with fear. She is voiceless and at the mercy of a dog lover who can offer her a chance. Clearly her prior home didn't believe in the promise of forever together, or whether she lives or dies. Diamond is a gem, perfectly healthy, very young, and very smart. She needs one chance, and she needs it now as the shelter as marked her for an impending death. Please message this page now if can foster or adopt her. Anaconda, Apple, and Bones: Channeling the Easter Bunny with her adorable ear set, she's a super sweet, chunky, lowrider dreaming of a family of her own! DARLING DESTINE יי Id 55076 2 Yrs.. Spayed and Wating for Cuddles & Hugs, Manhattan ACC TO BE KILLED - 2/26/2019 She’s so full of life. DESTINE is an adorable chunky lowrider with the biggest, brightest smile at the Manhattan Center. She simply adores people, and with those ears!!! It’s like she is channeling the Easter Bunny. We adore her rotund little body, her happy go lucky spirit and her never ending charm. Affectionate, cuddly, and oh so sweet, this wonderful youngster is waiting to light up someone’s life for the rest of hers. Don’t wait, hurry and foster or adopt her now. She’s spayed and ready to go! PM our page or email us at [email protected] for assistance. A volunteer writes: "Is that my new family I see?" No, wait Destine; I usually do this differently. Like this: Destine is seal brown, apple-headed, full figured gal in search of a food plan, and a new life. We met at Manhattan's ACC on a bright winter afternoon. I am a complete sucker for apple headed dogs, so not too much batting her eyes at me was needed to sell me on taking her out. "Are you sure?" Yes, Destine. Let me tell everyone how we passed our time. "Okay..." We went out into the pen, and Destine made a preliminary search of the perimeter but is quite happy to sit right there, velcroed to your legs (um, too hefty for the bench), and happily, on a chilly day, be a foot warmer, using my size nines as a couch. Watching the birds, volunteers and staff was just fine for her. Destine appreciated the "go slow" hang out, to sit, and think, and be. "Because, I think I see someone!" That's the idea, love. DESTINE, ID# 55076, 2 yrs old, XX lbs Spayed Female Manhattan ACC, Medium Mixed Breed Cross, Black / White I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 17-Feb-2019, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow. Behavior History: Upon intake, Destine had a very tense body and would hide behind her owner. When I approached her with treats, she began to low growl and raise her lips at me. She was whale eyed whenever i got near and would not leave the owners side. Owner handled Destine into a kennel. No handling was done. Date of Intake: 2/17/2019 Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Basic Information:: Destine is a 2 year old female spayed black and white medium mixed breed dog. Previous owner got Destine from a relative and has had her for 2 years. SHe surrendered destine to ACC because of landlord concerns. Previously lived with:: 1 adult How is this dog around strangers?: Around strangers, Destine will bark if a stranger comes near and may growl. Previous owner stated that she has not bitten anyone. How is this dog around children?: Destine has been around children of the ages of 2 to 16 years old. She is respectful and friendly. How is this dog around other dogs?: Destine has been around other dogs. She is playful and respectful How is this dog around cats?: Destine has not been around cats before. Her behaviour is unknown Resource guarding:: Destine does not resource guard food bowls toys or treats. She will bark if someone unfamiliar approaches the home. Housetrained:: Partially Energy level/descriptors:: Very high, Friendly, affectionate, playful, excitable, anxious, independent and confident. Other Notes:: Destine has received a bath before and she enjoys it. She is okay with having her paws touched but will run away if her nails are being cut because of the sound the nail clipper makes. Has this dog ever had any medical issues?: No Medical Notes: Destine has not seen a vet recently and has no medical concerns or issues that were reported at intake. For a New Family to Know: Destine is a Very high energy, Friendly, affectionate, playful, excitable, anxious, independent and confident. Best Friend, Children, and Click: Spock TD# 51467 Cute and Playful Boy Found underweight and all on his own. Friendly and joyfully playful in dogsy playgroup. Would love to go home @ Manhattan ACC. 12-18 ms old, 40.8 lbs TO BE KILLED 1/11/19 Spock is a young, sweet boy, playful like a puppy in doggy playgroup and in need of a home, that really cares. He has been found all on his own, underweight and would love to have new parents, that feed him properly and love him forever! Please share! A VOLUNTEER WRITES:Are you ready to beam up the silliest, friendliest, most playful pet at the Care Center? Then allow me to introduce myself, I am Spock and if you're a person (or dog) who loves rough'n'tumble play and tossing toys around then the only logical thing to do is take me home. I'm just as friendly as I look and twice as fun and my favorite things in the world (so far) are chewy toys and treats. Ask nicely and I'll even sit and wait for you to give them to me. We should take a toy on our walk as well, just in case a munchy mood strikes while we're outside--I wouldn't want to have to use the leash! Playgroup is my zoomie time and I play pretty hard so I'm hoping any four-legged members of my new family crew enjoys running and jumping as much as I do. Anyway, enough about me, let's talk about you and how much more fun your life would be with a little Spock in it. Everyone deserves a best friend and I could be yours! Welcome me home and we'll live long and prosper together, I promise. MY VIDEO: Playgroup Spock and Ginger <3 https://youtu.be/GTJ66OkQUZM Spock ID# 51467 Manhattan Animal Care Center Sex: Male Age: 12-18 mos old (at their page the shelter writes 4 yrs old, but we follow the shelter´s medical notes) Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 40.8 lbs. Intake Type: Stray Brought in by NYPD Medical Behavior: Blue Intake Date: 12-28-2018 SHELTER ASSESSMENT ~ EXPERIENCED No young children (under 5) BEHAVIOR NOTES Means of surrender (length of time in previous home): Stray SAFER SCORES: Date of assessment: 30-Dec-2018 Look: 1. Dog's eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. Allows head to be held loosely in Assessor's cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft 'popping' of the body, etc. Dog might jump on Assessor once play begins. Paw squeeze 1: 2. Dog quickly pulls back. Paw squeeze 2: 2. Dog quickly pull back. Flank squeeze 1: Item not conducted Flank squeeze 2: Item not conducted Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. Dog does not place his/her body between you and the toy. Summary: Spock approached the assessor with a soft body. He was a bit mouthy during the assessment and grabbed the leash in his mouth several times while vocalizing. He allowed all handling. Summary: Spock may be most compatible with other exuberantly playful dogs. Summary (1): 12/29: When off leash with another dog, Spock engages in bouncy play. He will bark at the female greeter dog when she does not reciprocate his solicitations. Summary (2): 1/2: Spock is vocal at play. Summary (3): 1/5: Spock engages in bouncy, mouthy play with another male dog. Date of intake: 28-Dec-2018 Summary: Loose body, allowed handling. Grabbed leash and tugged while growling Date of initial: 28-Dec-2018 Summary: Growled ENERGY LEVEL: We have no history on Spock so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: EXPERIENCE (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with the behaviors outlined below) Recommendations: No young children (under 5) Recommendations comments: No young children: Due to the mouthing and high level of leash biting seen at the care center, we recommend a home without young children. Potential challenges: Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition Leash-biting Potential challenges comments: Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition: Spock has shown some mouthiness in the care center. Little pressure is applied, but this is a behavior that should be extinguished through training alternate behaviors and lack of reward (ex. walking away whenever Spock's teeth make contact with skin). Leash-biting: Spock is quick to grab the leash in his mouth. We recommend walking him with a toy to dissuade him from grabbing the leash. Positive reinforcement, force-free training is advised to teach him to focus on you rather than grabbing the leash. Animals, Cats, and Children: aManhattan waiting for Love! 28111 1 year 8 months old, 53 lbs Young, handsome, friendly, playful, active, kid friendly, housetrained, will need basic training NEUTERED RockySi ply aMazing e- s TO BE KILLED 1/29/2019 HANDSOME ALERT!!! Rocky is a sleek and shiny youngster who is all heart. The type of fella that likes to carry his stuffed bear around with excitement. He doesn't miss a trick, and manages to make a connection with everyone crossing his path. Exuberance is his first, middle and last name. It's remarkable to witness a soul who only understands joy. He seeks attention, affection and has enough spirit to fill an arena. For some, this may be too much, but for the true dog lover, who understands the innocence and desire to interact, this fella is gold. Rocky has interacted with dogs at the shelter, and has responded to interruption. He is always soft bodied, wiggly and excited. These qualities make him a prime candidate for guidance and training, which sadly he never received. He is approaching the prime of his life, has all the right ingredients and manages to be a positive bright light in a lonely, dismal shelter. We are so hoping someone will see his magnificence in time. Most tragic is the likelihood of being destroyed at first opportunity without a reprieve. If you are interested in saving this young heart, please message this page. We recommend feeding with puzzle feeders and food-dispensing toys. And we recommend only force-free, reward-based training techniques for Rocky. BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: New Hope Only Behavior Asilomar: TM - Treatable-Manageable Recommendations:: No children (under 13),Place with a New Hope partner Recommendations comments:: Due to all noted concerns displayed in a home environment, the behavior department recommends Rocky be placed with a New Hope placement partner who is able to provide an experienced adult-only foster home. A period of decompression is recommended to allow Rocky to acclimate comfortably to her new environment; force-free, reward based training only is advised when introducing Rocky to new and unfamiliar situations. Consultation with a professional trainer/behaviorist is highly recommended for guidance to safely manage/modify any behavior Rocky presents with outside of the care centers. Potential challenges: : Social hyperarousal,Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition,On-leash reactivity/barrier frustration,Bite history (human) Potential challenges comments:: Rocky quickly becomes over aroused in the presence of people, jumping up and mouthing. Positive reinforcement, force-free training should be used to teach Rocky to remain calm when people and other exciting things are around. In Rocky's mouthing, little pressure is applied, but this is a behavior that should be extinguished through training alternate behaviors and lack of reward (ex. walking away whenever Rocky's teeth make contact with skin). Please see the handouts on social arousal and mouthiness to help handle this behavior. At the care center, Rocky has been observed to react to other dogs on leash, lunging towards them, barking and growling. Rocky may need positive reinforcement, reward based training to teach him to look at you rather than other dogs. Please see the handout about on-leash reactivity to help manage this behavior. In Rocky's previous home, he reportedly went after a small dog, and when the owner picked up the small dog to get him out of the way, Rocky bit the owner. the severity of the bite was not mentioned. Please see the handout on bite prevention to help handle this behavior. ROCKY IS RESCUE ONLY…..TO SAVE THIS PUP YOU MUST FILL OUT APPLICATIONS WITH AT LEAST 3 NEW HOPE RESCUES. PLEASE HURRY!!!
