browsing a library (I don't have bookstore money! i do love to just browse a bookstore but i can't impulse buy a 20 dollar book rip i respect and admire those who do though) and reading pages at random is SO much fun. i have a lot of sympathy for people who struggle to read bc of disability issues because i also have that struggle but ITA that if you can read the Best of TikTok you can read anything!
[cont.] tacking onto this - i'm not immune to materialism and sigh over book "shelfies" full of gorgeous and often LE covers of social media popular books but there is something so sterile about well-organized bookshelves with perfectly chosen knickknacks populated solely by gorgeous, popular hardcover editions. i try to buy beautiful editions of books i love but inevitably if you love books you'll have some ugly books bc they didn't get a fancy cover or you haven't bought one or you cleaned out a 50 cent book sale.
First of all you're so right about libraries - I should've been more inclusive and mentioned them as well! Where I grew up our libraries were just okay but our secondhand bookshops were so great (we actually didn't have any full-price bookstores in town until I was well into high school) so I always underestimate the average price of shopping for books (and have been sorely hit by this since living in various big cities with big new bookstores). But everyone should support their libraries and you can definitely have the same (honestly, better) browsing experience in a library!
And speaking of inclusivity - I also deeply sympathise with people with disability or who for any reason struggle with reading. I actually read a really interesting post right after reblogging that bookshelf post talking about people who can't read a lot due to disability, and how alienating it can be when their experiences are used as an excuse for not reading in general, and not reading widely. It's not my place to comment on that, but definitely an interesting perspective.
I 100% agree with you - if you can read the best of tiktok, you can definitely read a book you've taken some time to discover yourself, in a library or at a store or by browsing a friend's bookshelf or even by enjoying a film that was based on it, or however else. These are such organic ways to discover a book that you're so much more likely to enjoy, that are going to resonate with you on a personal level, rather than through booktok or bookstagram or some other hashtag-driven social media niche that is designed to church as many people as possible through buying and reading and posting about the book and buying whatever else this publisher/author/influencer releases next. There's a post going around about the 'sigma grindset' approach to reading and I think it absolutely applies here, it's about consuming rather than experiencing or enjoying or being genuinely challenged or moved by a book. Really enjoying a piece of art (including nonfiction here because there's an art to it) takes time, and it doesn't necessarily leave you with an intense desire to go out and read/watch/see/consume something just like it right away. It sits with you. So while it's not antithetical to capitalism in that most people pay to read books or watch films or otherwise see art, it doesn't actively encourage and hasten the endless expenditure of money and social media attention and hype. I'm not saying that publishing companies that look after literary fiction or non-tiktok books aren't profit-driven world-swallowing monsters themselves, but there's a very specific flavour to this influencer-driven reading culture, which is all about getting you to spend money on what is usually pretty mediocre art. Boring ideas done boringly. It's like netflix, you're paying for 95% churned-out content most people would never want to watch without a gun to your head and maybe 5% of things you'll get something out of.
And all this is to say that I can absolutely also fall for pretty 'shelfies' (and, although it's a little unrelated, pretty study images - I'm such a sucker for that) and I am in general very fascinated by how people decorate themselves and their spaces and especially how they store and present their books. But recently even the trends around bookshelf pictures have become very flat and bland to me - everyone seems to have their books colour-coordinated in a hyper-curated spectrum, new white shelves, maybe one or two little plants... I like the pictures that show a little personality, and to have personality you may need to buy.... an ugly book (horror). If I actually walked into someone's house and they had the rainbow bookshelf out there I think I really would become the Goofy Damn Bitch You Live Like This? meme. I'm afraid if you really want to enjoy reading you must submit yourself to the mortifying ordeal of buying a secondhand 1992 copy of a book with the movie poster for the cover, or with the thick plastic cover on it because you got it from a library cleanout sale, or with a weird stock image or just a bland white and cracked spine. My local uni growing up does a huge sale of all the books they cleaned out from all their libraries once a year and they arealways such a great mix of old classics for really cheap with great weird old covers and theory/textbooks on geology and natural history illustration (two things the uni was famous for). They were so much fun, and the thought that you wouldn't go to something like that or the Lifeline Book Fair (or equivalent) or the library or a secondhand bookshop because the books wouldn't be pristine and designed according to a trend that will look dated in 2 years maximum is so sad... like you've got living life all wrong... but there's still hope...

2023 Mega-Book Log
Except it only covers the last third of 2023. *disco dances*
So here's a mega-list of all the books I read AND FINISHED in 2023! From September thru December, that is!:
Bamboo Kingdom Book 3: Journey to the Dragon Mountain by Erin Hunter
The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness Book 4: Outcast by Michelle Paver
The Deadlands Book 1: Hunted by Skye Melki-Wegner
Kenny & the Dragon by Tony DiTerlizzi
Lord Brocktree by Brian Jacques
Martin the Warrior by Brian Jacques
A Peculiar Peril by Jeff VanderMeer
Pride Wars Book 1: The Spinner Prince by Matt Laney
The Rise and Reign of Mammals by Steve Brusatte
Safe Area Goražde: The War in Eastern Bosnia 1992-95 by Joe Sacco
Tuki: Fight for Fire by Jeff Smith
Warriors of the Black Shroud by Peter Howe
Here are the books I didn't finish, but enjoyed nevertheless (to some degree at least...):
Chaucer’s People by Liza Picard
The Enchantress (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Book 6) by Michael Scott
The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin
And of those, here are the books following me into 2024:
The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness Book 5: Oath Breaker by Michelle Paver
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler’s Berlin by Erik Larson
Kindred: Neanderthal Life, Love, Death, and Art by Rebecca Wragg Sykes
I would not have expected my finish to unfinished ratio to look like that. I always feel like I abandon so many books. So this is uplifting to see! I am a very slow reader, though, in part because I insist on reading five or more books at a time. Greedy greedy...
I'm gonna take the time to just give a quick overview of my year so I can put the 2023 mega-log into context: this year sucked elephant balls for me. Huge, hairy, sweaty, dirty elephant balls. I mean the first eight months of it did; the last four months, when I left my shit job, moved to Virginia, and started this book log, were much better. I've got plans for 2024, some of them book-related, though I feel re-employment will be inevitable. This will, of course, have a significant impact on my reading patterns.
My main reading goal for '24 is to keep up with my Redwall reread. I've also discovered this year that I enjoy having at least one science-y book open at a time...the weeks inbetween Mammals and Kindred felt a little vacant to me. Reading such works is like encountering a hydra: as soon as I finish one, I discover through its bibliography two or three more that catch my interest.
Before I got Fucking Covid (TM) at the beginning of '23, I had plans to read more classic literary works by people of color. Clearly that didn't work out at all. As luck would have it, my friend lent me several books that fit this criteria (over a year ago now.....), so I will definitely be getting to those. Hopefully I can get a few more in besides that.
There are also quite a few books I'd like to buy and own. Most are out of print and will have to be bought secondhand. Certainly not something I should be indulging while unemployed. But wait! What is that shelf of unread books calling to me from the other side of the room? Surely something I can ignore...
Well less writing and more reading!!! I'll see y'all in a few B)

I don't understand criticizing problematic authors and still buying MORE of their books and supporting them.
I get criticizing a book that you already have which happens to be problematic/written by a problematic author.
I don't understand pre ordering books for like $20 or so, by terrible authors, with the purpose of criticizing them because you KNOW they are shittyshitty, like I've seen you and your friends do.
And borrowing from a library still gives money to the author.
Like are sjm, cassclare, vaveyard, houck etc. really racist, queerphobic, sexist, abuse apologists and bad writers?
If the answer is yes, why do you keep giving them money? You can just... Not talk about them and give them free publicity + tons of money?
Or is being popular in this little corner of tumblr more important than these issues, to the point that you keep supporting problematic authors?
Or is being popular in this little corner of tumblr more important than these issues, to the point that you keep supporting problematic authors?
ah anon, you're cute
but anyway, it's been a while since i got an anon like this. iirc i've only posted one or two times in the tags recently, since i'm not really in there anymore, so this probably means you've either been here before and are trying a new question out (though it's not a new question, it's just written differently) or you still follow my blog? idk, seems to me you're putting a lot more time into this than i am.
so here's the thing: when we talk about the bad parts of sj///m's books, we get one of two responses when stans don't have good arguments to respond with (which is, like, 95% of the time, but that's beside the point): 1) "don't like don't read!" or 2) "you haven't read the books so you have no room to speak if you can't provide thorough knowledge!" point #2 is fair! that's why i read the books, so when i do talk about the problems in them, i'm going in fully knowledgeable. point #1 is just ridiculous bc it often precedes an immediate response of point #2.
i'd love to not give the authors money. that's why you'll often find antis go to used bookstores. i, however, like using ebooks bc they're easier to both find quotes via the search function and also easier to copy/paste from in order to post quotes/excerpts for live reads. the last ebook i bought by a problematic author was sj///m (for comparison, when i read Rea///lm Brea///ker, i checked the ebook out from the library), for both of the aforementioned reasons, but also so i can refer to my copies should i need to find a quote for an ask or post, or search for certain keywords (such as when i did so recently with @faithfire to find out what kind of alcohol is mentioned in ac0sf--strangely few, for anyone wondering: wine predominately, liquor a time or two, and a single mention of ale).
and before anyone suggests pirating their books, please stop. this is not the blog for that.
beyond the above, it's important anyone talking about the books knows what's wrong with the books, and to do that without relying on secondhand knowledge (typically, my secondhand knowledge for what books by sj///m i haven't read is nabbed from @longsightmyth or @croissantcitysucks: i didn't read e0s, t0d, or k0a, and i didn't read the entirety of ac0tar, nor any of ac0maf, ac0war, and ac0fas. i've read everything else by her except Catwoman, but we don't really talk about that book often bc like. why? it's irrelevant, really, though it's certainly shitty--especially bc sj///m, a white woman, decided to talk about what it's like to be a Black man in this day and age. it's absolutely not her place, but sj///m is sj///m, and she never faces actual repercussions, so she's just gonna keep on being sj///m, no matter what anyone says). we can't say "when you read ac0sf, be aware that there is a lot of slut shaming, emotional abuse, and a very dangerous plot point of a husband keeping life-threatening information from his pregnant wife and threatening everyone who knows this information with their lives if they breathe a word about it to said pregnant wife" without actually reading the books first, right?
sj///m's books continue to be relevant, continue to hit bestseller lists, continue to bring in new fans (however much that flow is slowing with each new book), and continue to contain more and more problematic content. it's a marvel that sj///m can still outdo herself with what problematic shit she writes into her books. i really thought nothing could top k0a with that, but she's more than proven me wrong, and will certainly continue to do so.
if her books weren't relevant, if she actually had to face consequences for her actions as an author (beyond just being booted from YA to Adult--and that only happened bc of what happened with soap dick, not bc of anything in the actual fucking books), and if stans were more vocal with their critique--which would mean that stans have to stop chasing people out of their fandom if they dare to say "hmm this plot point didn't sit well with me"--antis wouldn't be here. if you want antis to shut up, then it's up to stans to be more open to critiquing her books and to cease to celebrate them as things they manifestly are not.
until then, we're not going anywhere.

all of them except 77, 78, 81, 92 and 96
Ember, I know this was you. I’m doing it, but that’s 93 questions you’re asking for so they’re going under a cut.
1. Talk about your first love. There have been a lot of those, so let me talk about the first one I really remember. I was in eighth grade, at the time, and she wasn’t exactly a great person looking back but she was cool and confident and she liked me, and she called me her best friend, and probably the best school-related memory I’ve ever had was her tackle-hugging me from across a classroom. I didn’t even realize I liked girls until she’d pretty much left my life completely. Maybe I’m looking at it through rose-tinted glasses now, but I think that’s okay, sometimes.  2. What’s the most beautiful songs you’ve ever heard in your opinion? Most of my favorite songs are Owl City, especially the older stuff. It has a soft, dreamlike vibe to it that I find really pretty even when it’s depressing. 3. How’s your heart feeling right now? Pretty good, I think? 4. What kind of self care is your favorite to do? The fun stuff. Bath bombs, makeup, fancy shampoo. Retail therapy actually works pretty well for me, even if a lot of the time I don’t even buy anything. 5. What’s your skincare routine? Um... Shower? 6. How did you get to be so beautiful? Natural talent and carefully learned confidence. 7. Do you have any stuffed animals? Oh, do I. I have like, seventy Webkinz, and that’s without getting into anything else. You could say I collect plushes, even if I don’t do it as actively now. I have a couple of Eevee plushes, too - I’d say I want to own all of them one day, but I’m like, 95% sure that’s not possible. 8. Best trip you’ve ever been on? Once, we went to Prince Edward Island for a week, and my mom surprised me by meeting up with my best friend’s family, who happened to have gotten a room at our hotel for one night. I think that probably wins. 9. Favorite thing about your room? That it’s starting to look like it belongs to me, even if I want to move somewhere else. 10. Opinion on love? It takes work, but it’s worth it.
11. Are you affectionate? Around people I’m comfortable with, definitely. 12. Who do you look up to? The people who have enough confidence to be unapologetically be themselves.
13. Favorite poet? Robert Frost. When I was eleven, I found a book of his poems, and I loved that book so much I didn’t pay any attention in English class at all.
14. Song that makes you happy? How about one that calms you down when you’re in a bad place? There’s a lot of songs that make me happy. Hard to go wrong with the Pokemon theme, though. As for things that calm me down... It’s Alright by Mother Mother and Misguided Ghosts by Paramore have both got me through a lot.
15. Do you play an instrument? No. I was supposed to learn piano in seventh grade, but I couldn’t read the sheet music so they never let me play, and I tried to learn guitar multiple times but it never stuck for the same reason.
16. Do you do art? Using what (pencil, watercolor, etc)? I paint, though not as often as I’d like to! Using acrylics, usually, but watercolors sometimes.
17. Do you dance? What style of dance? I took ballet as a child, til they kicked me out of class, and I still enjoy dancing but I don’t remember any of what I learned.
18. What’s your zodiac sign? Do you believe in astrology? Gemini. I think it might have some kind of truth behind it, but I’m not really one of those all-or-nothing people. It’s just for fun, you know?
19. Favorite old film? I don’t watch a lot of them. Does The Aristocats count?
20. What’s your hairstyle? It’s long and wavy. I’m getting blue highlights soon.
21. What weather is the most beautiful, in your opinion? Light rain. The kind that dries off before you get inside, when the sky is perfectly clear, but it starts falling anyway and it stops just as quickly.
22. What upsets you most about the world? That however hard we try to fix it, we’re unlikely to get very far.
23. Are you in love right now? Yes. At least, I think so.
24. Do you have a crush? If so, talk about them! I have a girlfriend. Is that the same thing? She’s cute and funny and she thinks the same things about me for some reason, and she knows exactly how much of a disaster I can be and hasn’t run away yet.
25. Do you have pets? Talk about something sweet about them! I have a cat, Little Prince. His sister died about a month ago, and she was the one who usually kept me company (total lap-cat), but ever since he’s usually either close to where I am or comes when I call him over.
26. Do you have a lucky number? Any multiple of seven, but especially fourteen. They’re my favorite numbers for the same reason.
27. Have you ever wished on a star? What about on a fallen eyelash? I try to wish on stars, when I see them. Eyelashes I’m usually more annoyed about than anything.
28. Do you believe emoji spells to work? I think anything has the potential to work, given the right amount of effort and intent. That said, I don’t think you’re going to accomplish anything drastic.
29. Do you believe in magic in general? Oh, definitely. Just look at the world we live in. How can you not believe in magic when it’s all around you? The night sky without air pollution, the sunlight dancing on the water, candy cane white hot chocolate - it’s everywhere, in everything.
30. What’s the most beautiful thing in life, In your opinion? Everything. There’s something beautiful in everything, if you look for it. Today, let’s say the feeling of sliding around on a hardwood floor in fluffy socks, dancing along to one of your favorite songs.
31. Opinion on the color pink? What about baby blue? As a kid, I hated pink. I like it now, though. Blue is my color, light blue especially (particularly with star patterns), so I’ve always liked it.
32. What instrumental sound is your favorite? Am I alloawed to say wind chimes? I’ve always thought they sounded super pretty.
33. Do you like the sound of wind? What about the sound of rain? I love them both.
34.Who makes you happy? My friends. All of them, in different ways, the people who are still in my life for various reasons. I love them.
35. What makes you happy? Light rain, strong wind, good music. My cat’s soft meow when I wake him up by accident. White peppermint hot chocolate. Fall colors, string lights, Halloween and winter holidays. Ice and snow and skating, dressing up for no apparent reason. The trick to it all is finding new things every day.
36. Imagine your ideal life, the life you wish to make, what will that look like? A house big enough for a family. A degree of some kind hanging on the wall. A life where I’m making things because that’s what I love, and I can try new things just for fun, where I don’t have to worry about money so much. The chance to get married someday, maybe.
37. Do you wear makeup? If so what’s your favorite type of makeup or specific makeup product? Favorite store to buy makeup? I do! Unless someone else is doing it for me, I generally keep to lipstick and eyeshadow. I’ve never been especially picky about what brands I use, but I usually go to Nyx because it’s on my usual route when I go on shopping trips, and I’m kind of attached now. Plus, nowhere else I’ve been in person has as many bold colours.
38. Do you wear dresses? If so what’s your favorite dress you own? I like wearing dresses. My favorite that I still have is a longer black dress, and it’s in serious need of either repair of retirement, but I got it for $20 as a cosplay outfit last year and it served its purpose. I wear it around still, sometimes, because it’s generally an easy fix.
39. Ever been heartbroken? How do you deal with it? Yeah, a few times. I vent to my friends, usually, and then I eat ice cream and listen to gnash for a while and eventually I start to feel better.
40. Who’s your closest friend? What do you love about them?
41. Introvert or extrovert? Kinda both? It’s complicated.
42. Do you like MBTI? What’s your MBTI? Is that... Fuck, is that the one with the letters? I think I got ENFP last time, and when I was younger it was INFP.
43. Would you be a fairy, a mermaid, a vampire, a siren, a or an angel? I’ve had people tell me I have ‘fae vibes’ before, so let’s go with that and hope it’s not offensive.
44. What’s the best song a friend has ever introduced to you? I don’t remember enough of them to feel good about picking one. I basically only listen to music I’m recommended now.
45. Parlez-vous français? A little, by virtue of being Canadian and having driven through Quebec. Not enough to carry on a conversation.
46. Most beautiful place you’ve been to? Prince Edward Island, hands down. It’s gorgeous.
47. Where/when do you truly feel at home? When there’s a light breeze, and the perfect song is playing, and the people I love are there. When we’re laughing with each other.
48. Does smiling put you in a better mood? Try it right now, you’re smile is gorgeous! I don’t think it does, honestly? But it does tend to happen when I’m happy.
49. Favorite shoe you own? These ankle boots I got secondhand that have little metal stars on them. I’m gonna be so upset when they finally wear out and I need new ones.
50. Can you walk in stilettos? Do you like them? God, no, I’ve tried. Any heel that’s too sharp or pointy or tall is a major problem for me. It’s part of what makes finding shoes such a pain.
51. Do you feel loved? Not always, but yeah. When I remember, or when I ask, or when I’m reminded.
52. How do you express love to those you care about? I try to tell them, but I’m also the type to engage in constant teasing. I’m the friend that punches you in the arm as a show of affection.
53. Favorite term(s) of endearment? The more creative ones. The basics don’t do much for me, honestly, but it’s more about the person saying them anyway.
54. Most romantic thing someone’s ever done for you? Make me feel like I don’t have to try so hard to feel like myself.
55. When is the happiest you’ve ever been? Walking the downtown city streets in winter. It was cold, sure, but it was gorgeous and I finally felt independent for a while.
56. Are you happy right now? Yeah, I’d say so.
57. What makes you smile? Bad jokes, among other things.
58. Do you laugh a lot? Yeah. A lot more than I used to.
59. What’s your favorite kind of aesthetic? Punk/scenecore. They’ve really influenced my more recent style choices.
60. Do you want to marry for love or for some other reason (like money)? Love, definitely.
61. What would your dream wedding look like? Do you want to get married? With someone I love, and the other people I love there too. Somewhere beautiful. I think I do, someday, but it’s not something I’m so worried about.
62. Favorite flower? Roses. Blue Moon Hybrid Tea Roses, in particular, are especially pretty.
63. Favorite artist? I don’t really have one. I do enjoy looking at art, though.
64. Favorite music artist? Owl City.
65. How kind do you think you are? Is kindness important to you? I don’t know. People seem to think I’m kinder than I believe I am. It’s important to me, yeah, to try and help people and to do nice things.
66. Ever made a playlist for someone? A few times. They were never anything special, as far as I’m concerned.
67. Do you have anything you do to physically comfort you when your sad? Such as a favorite blanket? Or a relaxing bath? Long, warm baths and cuddling with my cat. Warm blankets and stories with happy endings.
68. Early bird or night owl? Night owl. I’m a night person.
69. Morning routine? Wake up, do nothing for a while, actually get out of bed and figure out breakfast. While that’s going on, try and figure out if anything important is happening today.
70. Night routine? Get comfortable, then write or daydream til I fall asleep.
71. What is the most lovely quality a person could have in your opinion? Self-confidence and a willingness to help others.
72. Do you cry often? Does crying help you get the emotions out? Do you feel better after? I tend to hold back my feelings til they all fall out. So I end up crying at least twice a month, usually. It helps, yeah.
73. Do you like hugs? From people I feel comfortable with.
74. When was the last time you kissed someone? On the lips? Never.
75. Are you small or tall? Small. I’m 5′0.
76. Do you like wholesome memes? Yes. They’re cute.
79. Have you ever lived in a different country than you currently live in? Nope. I’ve never lived outside this city, only been on trips.
80. Do you like plane flights? Airports? I’ve only flown once, and I was two, so I don’t remember it very well.
82. The beach or a forest? Sand or bugs? Depends on the day. Today, though, forest.
83. What time of day do you tend to be in the best mood? Evening, usually.
84. Do you push yourself to act together and in a good mood even when you aren’t? Yeah, when I’m stressed.
85. Favorite kind of tree? Either maple or pine. I’m Canadian, what can I say?
86. Do you care about the health of the Earth? Yes, but there’s only so much one person can do.
87. What did you like most about your childhood, if anything? Field trips. Adulthood is sorely lacking in field trips.
88. Do you read a lot? What’s your favorite book? I used to. These days I still read, but it’s mostly fanfiction. My favorite books, though, are Tamora Pierce’s Emelan series and the first two books of Kenneth Oppel’s Silverwing trilogy.
89. What are you most nostalgic for at the moment? Trick-or-treating.
90. What’s your favorite personality trait you have? I try to let the people I love know that I love them.
91. List at least ONE thing you love about your appearance. I have pretty great hair.
93. Do you worry a lot? Constantly.
94. The dazzling lights of the city or the relaxing countryside? The city. The countryside’s nice, but the streetlights and the city skyline are what make me feel at home.
95. Ever changed the shoelaces on one of your shoes? For what reason? I actually don’t know how to tie laces, so no. I’ve never been able to pick it up. I might get someone sense to, if I could find cool enough laces.
97. Do you like doing little acts of kindness? Yeah. It feels good to make people happy, you know?
98. How’s your day/night going? Pretty good! I did just spend over an hour on this, but I finished it, so that’s an accomplishment of its own.

dohifu doujinshi rec list 2.0!!!
*** dohifu in jp:  どひふ | dogigo (doppo x gigolo) in jp:  どじご *** kannonzaka doppo:  観音坂独歩 |  izanami hifumi:  伊弉冉一二三 *** note that this is doppo x hifumi as in top doppo/bottom hifumi only
>> buying guide:  proxy services ($$$) (zenmarket, jauce, tenso) with yahoo jp auction (reselling/secondhand) + toranoana (buying from the artist directly), mandarake ($) for secondhand books
金色の糧 by owari:  i truly have no words for how beautiful this book is.  doppo narrates so it’s easy to follow along with a translate app.  due to his depression worsening, doppo begins to lose his sense of taste.  extremely good portrayal of doppo’s declining mental health and hifumi rolling with the punches.
今日はたくさんさわりたい by non-ya:  R18.  drunk doppo gushing about hifumi to his coworkers.  one of my favourite artists.
甘やかすなら朝まで by antares:  R18.  hifumi cooks, cleans, mends doppo’s clothing, and now, takes care of him in other ways.
癒着する飴細工 by 9U!:  R18.  doppo reminisces about his crush on hifumi since childhood.  art is beautiful.
独歩の雄みスイッチ by もここ:  R18.  one of my faves.  hifumi is deeply in love with doppo, who is always gentle with him during sex, but is interested in doppo being rough with him after seeing him rap.
ハメドリ! by KAZU:  R18.  filming kink.  art is gorgeous.  not much else to say.  doppo’s expressions are very sexy.
ひふみくんの恋人 by tomomo:  R18.  not a print doujinshi but a short comic in its entirety.  when doppo’s stress is max he wants to have (marathon) sex w hifumi without a condom.
靴ずれの頃 by uppun:  R18.  as you can tell by the cover, its gorgeous.  pining hifumi after he sees doppo recieve a love letter in his locker.  takes place during their high school years.
ホットメルトラミネート by 1M:  R18.  tbh i have no idea wtf is happening, hifumi seems to be using some kind of lotion with an aphrodisiac.  art is very nice and filthy.
痕跡 by okmgmk:  R18.  every book by this artist is amazing but this one is probably my favourite.  after seeing a hickey on one of his coworkers, doppo fantasizes about leaving marks all over hifumi, for all of his patrons at his host club to see.
a comic posted in its entirety online.  i wanted to include this artist’s print djs but they are so elusive to find irl and they delete their samples on pixiv usually within 1-2 weeks.  doppo&hifumi encounter illegal mics that give them wolf ears/tails.
Fall On MEEEEE!!!!!!! by 土偶チャン:  great title.  takes place during their high school years.  due to hifumi’s sweet and bubbly nature, many people gravitate towards him.  doppo is jealous?
feel by komeshiki:  R18.  doppo x gigolo.  hifumi is famous and beloved as shinjuku’s no.1 host, and doppo is possessive.
てらし、てらされそうやって by yudan:  R18.  i was going to link another book by this artist that i had bought but i can’t find the sample anymore lol.  i don’t know what’s happening other than doppo thinking about how desired hifumi is by other people/women.  art is beautiful.
ぜんぶ正解 by ねれない:  i bought this book just because of the scene where doppo looks at his coworker’s wedding ring and thinks about hifumi.  doppo and hifumi’s relationship from childhood to present canon.
updates maybe in the future.  95% of these artists have more than one book so i think this is a good starting place for dohifu doujinshi.  have fun!!!

139 Times People Found The Weirdest And Most Amazing Items In Thrift Stores, Flea Markets And Garage Sales (New Pics)
The best part about shopping at thrift stores is that you never know what you are going to find. Most stores these days have a generic theme – you have a basic expectation of what they sell. But thrift stores offer objects from all walks of life. You could find things that have been stashed in someone’s attic for 50 years; old books, LPs, trophies, clothes, electronics… All have belonged to others and have their own unique story to tell. Exciting, isn’t it?
Sure, 95% of it is junk. But, as they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, so there is always some value there if you look hard enough! This list finds value mainly in the weird and wonderful; there are some truly bizarre objects here. The Facebook group  ‘Weird Secondhand Finds That Just Need To Be Shared’  is a goldmine of oddities and curios, and as a follow on to previous posts here here and here, we just had to share the latest finds.
Scroll down below to check out the best of them for yourself, and head down to your local thrift store this weekend!

When I moved in, my mom and I were putting things in the attic and I found this doll wearing this dress, a Christmas tree, and a pair of crutches. The doll was bald at the time, had a few broken fingers, and her face was cracked. I noticed a signature on the doll and found out that she would probably be worth about $50 if she wasn’t damaged. I was creeped out and knew I wouldn’t keep her so I tossed her down the attic access and she shattered on the ground. (Yes, that was kinda dumb.). I threw the pieces away in the dumpster.
One year later I opened my laundry room door and she is standing there, unbroken, and now with hair. You guys. My mom had gone behind me and picked her out of the trash, glued her back together, modified a costume wig to fit her (I’d estimate she is about two feet tall), and waited a YEAR to scare me. If you knew my mom, you would know how ridiculous this is. She is very quiet and doesn’t joke around a lot, but when she does she goes hard, haha! I kept the doll for a couple years as a Halloween decoration and gave her away to someone who actually liked her
Loving all the weird cross stitch pieces!. Here’s one which I thought would be good to contribute; this little beauty that was found at work today

Goes to goodwill on my lunch break. Some boys are making a fuss about whether or not they should “just buy it”, “come on dude it’s cool”. Boys come down the aisle with large frame. Tries to catch a glimpse of the frame out of curiosity…
Is met with this.
$7 at a local thrift store (Indianapolis, IN). I’ve been holding onto this pic for about 5 years, waiting for the right group to share it with

You are in trouble ANNA they are checking-- make up a cover story and stick to it..
Anna jun sec Min of Health handed out all that was valuable which they robbed from Fekete.
who has a hunger for power-Anna jun sec Min of health- find on the scanner. All UK is on this amazing lab Human Research machine.
Anna, who is ahead of me ..jun secMin ofHealth
quote 6 am Fekete's use to us was limited, she doesn't react and she is not bothered by isolation and is used to poverty- so we began robbing what she had, collectors items, things she brought from teaching abroad, her sketches and original paintings, writings etc After that the lab members decided- we had better steam roller her..Fun was had by all at the lab on her and her family and many others, and now our children legit and illeg are trying to wipe out the evidence for us..
Every woman on earth has to make a split second decision at the beginning of 'rape' begins, to fight and possibly get battered or even killed,or do I take it - The English with their massive Empire and its varied males wanting to try a bit of white, advised 'think of England'. Princess Di also advised me- turn it into romance, the whole world loves a lover. Young girls have no idea what to do, so make the best targets for rapists, which is in fact most men.Women dumped by their men are not considered to have been raped as they must be gasping for sex - men have not yet learnt that women are psychologically and physically created differently.
USA the Brits have finally flipped..
MARK banned London psychiatrist- I started it, you dirty someone's character then the police can't get at the truth, so we fed lies into everybody's brainsfrom the lab machine. Anna asked me to, well she paid me to..
both Syrian refugee thieves wives are highly cancerous, the men will get alzheimers and at least half the West Indians, probably more, and half the slovaks. Nicky Durand -fence-I have at least 150 of Fekete's paintings, if not more, I took rolls each time I broke into her home. No2Springvale flats,Upperthorpe, has two folders full, that is 20 paintings and some sketch books she robbed with tissue between the pages, so that means chalks. maybe 40 or so
what cash flow has she got?- her pension is £95 and she pays her bills which we often swell.. they don’t live like we do, they never eat out, don’t drink, don’t smoke, buy secondhand clothes which they mend and stitch, second hand furniture which they clean up- fruit is her only real luxury..and she buys a Mars bar for every homeless person in the city.. We have stolen the things she bought earlier like paints, brushes, stuff she brought when teaching there, FROM CHINA..
oh we all know what is going on, you are getting special treatment because of the Princess Di...senior civil servant of the health Ministry, Dennis gave me it.. they were Fekete's father, it is all he left her for her sons.. so it is yours now- you would be surprised if you knew what he had of yours /he had all my work/ and the Ministry women have all my work too- and paintings. after the emergency, cover up, experiment is over and the infrastructure has been destroyed, we ca...
