Do you ever think about the parallels between Rinne and Aira

Not only they have a shared interest in protecting Hiiro and ensuring his well-being/growth as a person, (and it's extra interesting given how Aira sort of dislikes Rinne for how he dealt with Hiiro in general—by leaving him alone at their hometown and disowning him in the summer of the MDM—, so even though they have the same interests and goals regarding Hiiro, they aren't exactly friends nor like each other — though this is mostly from Aira's part, because Rinne does like Aira and even acknowledges him as someone important to Hiiro that he must keep in his life), but Aira kinda is what Rinne used to be, before his dreams of becoming an idol we're crushed by the new rules of ES.

!! Main Story, Episode 171, "Revolution"

I've seen many people talk about how Rinne and Aira would get along because they're both idol otakus, but I believe that's a common misunderstanding of Rinne's character, because Rinne isn't an idol otaku (at least not anymore). He doesn't like the current idol system and the way Ensemble Square is running the industry. That's why he tried to change it by force in the !! Main Story by acting out. This is different from Aira, who loves the idols born from this system, and is a participant in the ES system that is going to hurt the industry in the long run (because ES is mass producing idols like a factory, stripping them from their own individuality and what makes idols especial in the first place — which is why Aira likes idols to begin with! Because they're different from ordinary people!)

!! Main Story, episode 220, "Despair"

Aira is aware that the idol industry isn't perfect, in episode 171 he even acknowledges that the mass production of idols similar to items of consumption made in a factory is wrong and it strips idols from their beauty and value, but he doesn't have the insight and first hand experience with heartbreak as Rinne had, so he doesn't have the motivation to protest or change the way ES is running the industry. They both love idols and dreamed of becoming one, but Rinne isn't an idol otaku, because he can't be a fan of idols mass produced by the current system.

What Rinne does instead, is support underground idols that would otherwise be trampled or forced to disappear by ES because they don't fit their sets of standards (and because ES has monopoly in the idol industry, they can easily do this without much repercussions or public outcry) and gives them his protection. This is explained throughout the course of the story of Night Club.

Nigh Club, Epilogue 2

Aira tries to impersonate an ideal idol persona, as the ones he watched when he was younger. He wants to embody a model idol and inspire others as idols inspired him in the past. Rinne used to be similar, but ES arbitrarily destroyed his solo career making him lose that dream, and that's why he embodies the wild and rebellious persona he portrays on stage, which is a complete opposite to how a traditional idol should act (and this is a constant point of conflict between him and other idols, such as Himeru; Himeru tends to scold Rinne for being so wild and doing whatever he wants because it goes against what is expected of an idol, but in Night Club he comes to understand that this is Rinne's soft way to protest against ES, despite having lost to them in the first part of the !! Main Story).

(Sometimes, I wonder if Rinne is happy being the wild and playful self he is with Crazy:B, or if he would prefer to be on stage as an ideal idol like he used to do years ago....)

However, despite their differences and the dislike/intimidation Aira might feel towards Rinne, he admits he understands his feelings and where he comes from, and that he can't help but to relate to him due to the fact that they both love idols. Aira scolds Rinne in episode 220 "Despair" to make him stop his pity party, but later in episode 224 "Flutter" he comforts and encourages him instead—telling him that he should not give up being an idol, because he recognizes that Rinne loves idols as much as he does, and that he still has a reason to live because he has fans of himself and of Crazy:B waiting for him among the crowd, meaning that he is still loved and accepted by someone, despite all the wreckage he had caused.

(And if I'm allowed to get personal for a moment, I just need to make emphasis in how important Aira is to the development of the Amagi brothers in the last arc of the !! main story, and this scene is a perfect example of that. Aira is the one who encourages Rinne to join the others on stage and sing, and after that it is Hiiro that pushes Rinne to give that step which finally leads them to perform on stage together 🥹)

So as we can see, Rinne and Aira have a lot of similarities, but they act in completely different ways due to their circumstances. They have similar backgrounds as idol lovers but they have different views and feelings about the industry and the profession, (however, they seem to share the same ideals as to what an idol should be, and love the same type of ideal idol inside their hearts). Adding to that their shared most beloved person, Hiiro, and how the two of them want what's best for him but they have a point of contention due to Rinne's bad actions in the !! Main Story, and their relationship becomes x10 more interesting, and I wish we talked about it more!

And we know Happyele hasn't forgotten about them, because Aira appeared in Rinne's recent relationship chart, just below Hiiro.

(also, a little unrelated, bu i think it's funny that despite having a heart to heart at the ending of the main story, their relationship is still "want to tease him" and "he's a little scary" ahdks Aira, who scolded Rinne in front of hundreds of people in the MDM, regressed to feeling intimidated and troubled by him. A couple of friends commented that it was probably because Aira had a burst of courage in the MDM because of the severity of the situation, so he had the determination to call out Rinne, a senior that he particularly feels intimidated by, publicly without second thought. It is canon that after the fact, Aira admitted that looking back on the MDM he felt embarrassed for doing such a bold thing. Idk, it's just something i find very interesting and fun about their dynamic www)

So this leads me to believe that they haven't forgotten about the history these two had in the main story, and all I can do is just wait for them to expand on their relationship and dynamic more eventually in some future event.

I found nothing on Rena from yyh on here so I'm making one here (edit: I tangented!)

Lena or Rena (レナ), screenshot here from chapter 27 page 41 volume 4, wearing a headband with the character 死 (death). She appears in only this panel in the manga (I believe?) but she reappears in “Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle" Botan Event (video available on YT) where Botan speaks with her, impressed with Rena for having collected 20 souls that month alone. "This is a job but I can't help but feel the transcience of human existence," Botan says. Building on her one-panel appearance, Rena responds she's the happiest when she's telling "a guy [her] type he's going to die".

Love her! Oh and her game appearance is given an orange scarf, I like that renewed design. Really intrigued that she appears to be the only ferry girl who doesn't wear a kimono or hakama; additionally her appearance in the game has an interesting blend of dark and bright colours, reminiscent of Ayame (her only colour-tie to Botan seems to be the eyes, both shades of purple - ferry girl trait? could be neat!) -

Which makes me think she's senior enough to just disregard regulatory uniforms, which is all the more intriguing to me! I also just like Botan having seniors, because she strikes me as young compared to what her job as a ferry girl (psychopomp) is and for how long it may have existed for.

Tangent on shinigami or ferry girls:

Several "fun facts abt YYH" articles link Botan to Charon, the greek ferryman carrying souls of the dead to Hades, and I thought I had read an interview with Togashi about his inspirations regarding Botan being related to that, but this must be a false memory. The myth from those articles probably builds on the localised translating of Sanzu River into Styx, and mine derives from believing the yyh wiki a little too much.

(Granted, she does carry an oar, but until I find a proper quote, I'm disgarding it as nonsense.)

A comment on a FB post (watchyuyuhakusho/posts/second-fun-fact-of-the-day-botan-is-known-as-the-grim-reaper-of-the-show-but-tha/4519376704768666/) points to Wikipedia's page on the Sanzu River, the last paragraph of which (as of Sep 14 2023) refers to Jizou, or Kṣitigarbha. The Kṣitigarbha Boddhisattva Sutra mentions a Sacred Girl/Daughter (Brahmin),

who through "“earnest and filial devotion of making offerings to the Buddha of Flower of Meditation and Enlightenment that [her] mother was relieved. Not only did [her] mother receive deliverance from Hell, but all sinners of the Avici 18 Hell also benefited from it, for they ascended to Heaven on the same day.” (...) She then knelt before the Buddha of Flower of Meditation and Enlightenment and expressed this strong vow, “I shall exercise my best to relieve people of their sufferings forever in my future lives of kalpas to come.”"

But in her introduction, she describes herself as a shinigami. "I am what you call a grim reaper," (Eng sub; Japanese dub uses "shinigami"), which becomes a little more interesting. Shinigami in traditional Japanese myth apparently did not have as noble roots as the Sacred Girl did: classical literature from as late as 1841, "Ehon Hyaku Monogatari", includes a story of a malicious ghost. They do not guide as much as invite a human to death!

Ah, I'm remembering something now: I looked this up before and my eye caught at Wikipedia's entry on shinigami, "the Western notion of a god of death entered Japan, and shinigami started to become mentioned as an existence with a human nature". No particularly good source to find on the web for that one at the moment!

There was one more mention of a "death god" being confused with "god of paper" in one late 1700s play of a tragic romance, which would land the YYH ferrygirls, following this logic, to perhaps having existed for some 200-220 years. Not a very long time for a species, even fictional, or a job related to the Spirit Office, which has supposedly existed for thousands of years.

Concluding headcanon: Similarly to Spirit Detectives, Koenma developed the occupation of ferry girls to involve humans more with the Spirit Realm. (However noble he thinks his intent was with this...)

... Right, but this was about Rena, originally! I got distracted!

She strikes me as someone who hides from the newbies how old she really is bc similarly to telling an attractive guy he's going to die, she also gets a kick out of a new shinigami learning the truth about her after months or years of knowing her who might be their senior but could also have entered the Office at the same time as them... although, they don't remember seeing her at orientation...

Additional good material: She looks like she could be a late 20s-something, but she's actually the oldest ferrygirl around. Not by age, but because she killed the eldest ones among them because she was younger and wilder back then and got a thrill from killing someone as strong as or normally stronger than herself. I just like her being the most dangerous person at the spirit office and she's turned out a little bit boring in her old age (ferrygirls being a relatively new job, it could be unknown how old one of them could get? And she's just saying "old age" bc there's literally no other ferrygirl older than her now).

Also just really funny to think about Botan specifically never picking up on any of the little red flags Rena is waving. Ah, I think I'm thinking of Rena like a blend of Akio and Anthy? Yeah I like that! That seems like the right amount of madness for a character who never appears canonically in the manga but exists all the same thanks to a side manga panel and a game event.

LAST HEADCANON: Botan gets a lot of her mannerisms and work ethic from Rena, including that hand-pointing gesture.

HNK Chapter 90 thoughts: Cruel Phos shows his cruelty at last

This was indeed a good chapter...After 3 months and 2 chapters of lore, it’s good to be back to witness Phos’s massacre, even though the chapter was very short. Regardless, this was a good chapter...that hurts me so good.

Euclase’s downfall

Yup. Had a feeling this was how it was going to turn out for Euclase. I was one of the unfortunate ones to see the big leak so I knew ahead of time before the official translation came out not too long ago. But again, I’m not surprised that this is how it would turn out. I will say that it was very bold (and naive) of Euclase to try to plead with Phos one last time but I think we all knew it wouldn’t have changed anything.

And as predicted, I see a lot some fans are happy to see Euclase be destroyed. Can’t say that I blame them but, from my perspective, the whole event is...I can’t think of the right word... “tragic”? Oh better yet “ironic”? I say this because, as far as I saw, Euclase was one of the only Earth gems that still had some sense of remorse for Phos and was somewhat willing to listen and negotiate with Phos before he was shattered and buried for 220 years. Emphasis on “some” and “somewhat.” So though Euclase was the main earth gem that wanted to reach some sort of compromise with Phos when Phos came back, Euclase still chose to do nothing in the end. And that’s why things ended this way. Like I’ve stated before in other posts, everyone’s interpretation of the characters is their own, and when it comes to what happened between Phos and Euclase, I totally understand why some fans many are happy with the outcome. For me personally, while I am bit disheartened that Euclase was shattered, he did have it coming.

Foes and Allies...  

Now, I don’t know how many of you saw one of my older posts, but in my “HNK Chapter 88+ Predictions” post, I predicted that in order to show how Phos truly doesn’t care about any of the gems, whether they were foes or allies, I predicted that Phos would one way or another shatter Padparadscha. And though it didn’t turn out like how I written it in that prediction, I was correct that Phos would do it. But how Haroku Ichikawa depicted was definitely still pretty cruel. He was like “Oh yeah, can you guys destroy them? Thanks.” And that was that. Just an after thought. Though I thought Phos would want to mess Rutile up a bit more after what he did to him, having Phos just letting the Lunarians destroy him along with the unconscious Padparadscha is somewhat fitting. Like a final small slap in the face, pretty much stating “You’re not worth my time.” But yup, no doubt that Rutile and Padparadscha are now definitely out of the picture. Once again, by showing how Phos is fine destroying his ally gems, especially one who is blissfully unaware and unconscious, continues to show how much Phos just doesn’t care about the gems anymore. Though I think we all already understand this.

Now Phos is going to fight Jade, who no doubt will be destroyed and this makes me sad once again. Jade has always been one of my favorite gems and was one of the few who did the least bad to Phos, as far as I can remember. Good for him for standing his ground, though I’m sure Jade knows he doesn’t stand a chance. (Love you, Jade. Do your best...)

To the Victor Go the Spoils... In Phos’s case though, it might not last.

Soon, it’ll only be Phos, Cinnabar, and Adamant. How that’ll end is anyone’s guess, especially with Aechmea/Enma on his way. Finally, Phos is getting what he is owed, after everything that he went though...but will he really?

Maybe I’m pessimistic because of everything going on both in the story and in real life, but I can’t help but feel that Phos will once again, in someway or form, will be denied of what he wants. And the euphoric feeling that he’s gained for finally exacting his revenge against his former family, will smack him back in his face in the worst way. And if the past events pushed Phos to rock bottom, this may send him to the earth’s core.

Revenge may be sweet, and Phos has every right to taste that sweetness after everything that he had endured. But like most feelings driven by anger and vengeance, the gratification never lasts. 

And if Aechmea still has plans for Phos, oooooh BOY. I don’t want to imagine how much worse this whole thing can get but, as always, I’m sure Ms. Ichikawa will find a way! She always does!!

Phos’s cycle of suffering is never going to end. NEVER.

Oh Phos... Our beloved, fallen child. You have suffered by the hands of so many.  Enjoy your revenge and bask in its tooth-rotting sweetness... Because I know it’s not going to last and what’s going to happen in the end will not be pretty.

And I have a strong feeling that the jelly fish people (I don’t remember what they’re called) might not be too keen on accepting him as he is right now, as sad as that may sound.

Anyways, good chapter. Filled me with glee and sorrow. Can’t wait to be even more broken up next month.

FICS I’VE READ THIS WEEK (17)

Hello everybody!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

So, I’ve started my vacation. When I planned this vacation way back in February it was going to be a whole lot more fun than what I’m experiencing today - but we’re remaining healthy and safe so I can’t complain too much. Everyone else’s plans have been changed this year so we’re all in a mega state of disappointment and concern - at least we’re in it together. I’ve been privileged enough to work from home since the middle of March and though all the trips abroad we had planned have been cancelled, I’m incredibly grateful for the blessings in my life and the health and safety of the people I love.

Now - that was much more of a downer than I meant it to be - so let’s talk fanfiction. Still haven’t written a word of my own (and that stems from something other than the pandemic) - but I have been lucky enough to beta read some super fun chapters and I’m SO excited that people are loving them as much as I have. I’ve also been reading some older favourites and leaving reviews - this morning I got a reply to a review and it filled my heart with such happiness. I’m so glad that my encouragement was able to buoy up someone who was struggling - so I really encourage everyone who rereads a story (even if it’s a million times) - to leave a review. Let the author know how much their work means to you. It means the world to them, I promise. <3

3x01 Chapter Thirty-Six: Labor Day

I’m so hype for this episode’s p e a k summer vibes, I cannot even tell you. These outfits were perhaps the ones I was most excited about diving into, not necessarily for any thematic work they do, but just because I love them. It’s that simple. Summer is ~my season. And from this ep it would also appear to be Betty Cooper’s. 

She has so many different looks here! It’s the most caps I’ve made for an episode so far, topping out at 631 (don’t look at me like that). She wears A Lot of clothing in this episode, in a lot of different iterations—and this post is lengthy as a result. As such, I’m deigning to try out a read more cut on this one, which is a thing I go back and forth on for this blog—but I’ll save that chat for later.

It wounds me how briefly we get to appreciate this adorable look. The denim shorts?? With the rolled cuff? The gingham?? My god. 

I think this dress is incredibly cute (I’ll probably say that a lot this post). Sometimes I think of it randomly and wonder if I can find it for sale on the internet somewhere. I’m just very fond of it. 

There’s a moment here where Archie, Jug, and Betty reminisce about Sweetwater Swimming Hole—Betty doesn’t remember an incident involving some leeches (a la Stand By Me—and not even the most overt allusion to that film this season), but Jug and Archie do. This isn’t the only moment Betty will seemingly fail to recall a childhood memory throughout this season. Put a pin in it. 

Her envelope purse, introduced near the end of season 2.

It’s quick, but we see her pop an adderall in the courthouse. 

Murder me, please, because this is really too cute to be dealing with. 

We saw Betty wear (her first!) white v-neck tee in 220. This might be the same one, it might be new, who knows. The short overalls are defo new tho. 

Please note she wears her hammer necklace to do some work on Archie’s jalopy, which in the comics is called...Betsy. Which is potentially confusing. 

Let’s appresh that Betty has consistently been down to get dirty, as exhibited again and again and again in season 2. 

I am a sucker for a floral Reformation dress! I’m weak. Purple was certainly a season 2 color for Betty, and that carries on here—if in a softer, more lavender-leaning fashion.

It looks like the wardrobe team have made some alterations to the back, too, unless this is an earlier iteration of Refo’s Rosehip dress. 

(Okay, I’m an avid journalist, but damn girl. What’s the date range we’re talking here?)

Betty’s actual bathing suit (as opposed to her daydream suit—but we’ll get to that later) very much falls under the purview of her brand. Am I crazy, or do bathing suits just work for Ms. Reinhart? 

(She also dons a pair of on-brand flip flops I could not capture).

Baby’s first Serpent jacket! Right on top of her pretty purple floral dress, bless. 

And yes, indeed, it has the standard patch. 

Now this purpley pink is indeed a very season 2 color for Betty, worn with her B pendant necklace, another s2 staple. The shirt has a very subtle ribbing to it, too. 

This is a romper, and Betty wears it to both be confronted by her family about what she’s been up to, and to camp out with her friends. 

The points that Alice and Polly make to Betty in this episode—that Betty should not be avoiding the trauma of having a serial killer for a father, that she should not be forging prescriptions for adderall, she should not be faking having a therapist—are not so crazy. That said—the Farm’s anti-medication stance, its burn-your-diaries-and-forget-your-past methods are also not the way to go. No one’s fully in the right here. There’s middle ground to be found.

As an aside, I’ll say that I’m near positive that at this point Alice is fully on board with the Farm, and is not yet an FBI informant. People join cults because they find personal benefits, and community, and because it can better their lives. They don’t join cults knowing it’s a cult. There’s a fine but very identifiable line.

Anyway.

We last saw this bra in the pilot! Betty’s very first scene! Can u believe? She wears it with a lacy high-rise brief in a sea foam or light blue color. As a firm proponent of a mixed set, I can only approve. 

Her post-swim hair is truly fab. Floral Keds!

Betty self-soothes by building some very nice cairns. She talks about quitting adderall, about getting a non-fake therapist.

Hat: model’s boyfriend’s own.  

Short-sleeve floral sundresses appear to be Betty’s summer courtroom go-tos. Love the mustard. 

Towards the beginning of season 2, Betty began to wear a lot of sporty stripes, and these pajamas certainly fit within that space. We’ve also seen her in athletic shorts with piping before.

Maybe she did quit her adderall? Maybe she quit cold turkey and she’s having a reaction because of this. (Guys, never stop a medication cold turkey, t a p e r, with the help of a professional.) Please recall Betty was forging her prescriptions—a criminal offense, but let’s not get into it. She doesn’t have the medical advice to do this the right way. In addition to...whatever’s going on here, we have two moments in which Betty appears in the subconscious of others in this episode: in seemingly both Archie and Jughead’s daydreams, and later in Archie’s nightmares. Fittingly, one outfit is imagined out of whole cloth (pun); the other, we’ve already seen Betty wear. 

How do we know Jughead and Archie are daydreaming? Well, they’re each given a moment of perspective, and Jughead is wearing a different outfit in each scene.

Arch’s POV. 

It’s hard to get a read on Betty’s suit—but I’m almost positive it is a bathing suit, unlike the skivvies-swim that happens elsewhere in the episode. This trip out to Sweetwater Swimming Hole was preplanned (...in Jug’s daydream), the Labor Day trip was spur-of-the-moment (per Archie’s ‘livin’ his last weekend as a free man’ vibe). It’s a teal color, which we really have not seen her wear at all. It could be a two piece, it could be a one-piece of a similar backless design like her pink polka dot suit, who knows.

In Archie’s version of the dream, his friends go off to live their lives without him. Betty’s wearing the pink denim skirt we last saw in 216, and what looks like a sleeveless denim top (we’ve seen her in two of those before).

Betty and Veronica are indeed wearing the same bathing suits in each day dream, most evident by Veronica’s suit—but you can also see Betty’s straps. This is probably for practical reasons; two costume changes for a wet scene is probably enough to deal with, three is asking a bit much, especially if it can be easily fudged. 

The moods of these scenes are totally disparate, as are their lighting schemes. Jug’s is full of possibility (peep how Betty gives him the eye); Archie is literally being left behind in his. Archie and Jughead are on two separate paths, and here’s your metaphor.

In Archie’s nightmare, we see the gang in their Shadow Lake get-ups from 214. Betty wears her wool moto jacket (a season two outwear staple) and her plaid knit crewneck from that ep. 

Summary: Eight outfits in real life: she changes out of her purple dress to put on her bathing suit, so we’ll count those separately; but she wears the underwear she swims in underneath that romper, so that counts as one. In addition there are two dream outfits, bringing this episode’s total to 10. Whew. 

I Own This: Yeah, you know this, I own quite a few of those Natori bras (but have never swum in one. Yet.)

Key necklace appearances: Key necklace maybe not be as supreme as it once was. We might have to retire this count. 

Best outfit: Excuse u hdu. How am I supposed to pick? I will take one of each.

Tips for buddy who need to collect all stories in Shower of Desire collection event ☔️

This event’s last boss (last story) is Kenshin, requires 410 touch bonus, quite high but I think it worth to invest bc we’ll get 5 stories, 11 voice clips, 11 BF Charms and also various items along the way. Plus Rainy Day wallpaper, Rainbow effect for early clearing and also Lovely Bear Pair Avatar for all stories clearing.

If you’ve a tight budget or just don’t want to waste money unnecessarily but still want to collect all stories and etc. in Shower of Desire collection event, this tips might help you... more or less 😉

General Tips

1. Login 2 times a day ➡️ get 2 parasols ☔️☔️ per day

2. Do princess lessons ➡️ get 2 parasols ☔️☔️ per 5 lessons. If you were active you could get at least 8 parasols per a day

3. Don’t use 5 daily free story tickets on the day before Lucky Ticket Time, save it for the day Lucky Ticket Time, this way you can get x2 ☔️ form 10 tickets. ➡️ 20 ☔️ + x2 challenge (normally 3 ☔️ per challenge) if there’s challenge in that part.

4. Same as 3. Pay attention on Lucky Lesson Time as well. You’ll get x2 Grace, from normal 8☔️ per day to be 16 ☔️ per day.

5. Greeting your main story’s friend everyday to get the golds, you can use 2,000 golds to buy 1 ☔️. Maximum buying is 5 ☔️ per day.

Reading main stories or Doing princess lessons?

Apparently there’re 2 main ways to boost up collecting the parasols, 1st by using tickets to read MS and 2nd by using items to do princess lesson. Whichever the best is depend on your conditions; number of tickets or items on hand, need to read the story in rush or not, etc.

As for me, I prefer to go with using tickets to read the main story bc Kenshin new route is just’ve released and I want to get released campaign bonus.

Many players are just buy Early Bird or Premium Sets Which contain amount of instant parasols and some items, no need much of effort but money 😉

Here is an example of my calculation.

Notes:

1. Date was based on my local time not PST.

2. I entered the event once it started, so I could got max benefit from login, tickets, princess lesson and buying parasols by golds.

3. I’m very active player, I do princess lessons practically every 4-5 hours when I’m awake and greeting MS friends daily, so I’ve a lot of golds enough to buy 5 parasols everyday.

4. Challenging Pattern: In 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13th chapter, same in every routes.

Beauty Challenge Requires 🈴 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th chapter.

Grace Challenge Requires 🈴

1st ch. ➡️ 100+ grace

3rd ch ➡️ 2,500+ grace

9th ch ➡️ 6,000+ grace

12th ch ➡️ 13,500+ grace

5. As this plan I need 40 extra tickets. I already have 30 tickets on hand so just need to buy more 10 to success this plan. I bought Lucky Tickets Set 1,600 coins which contain 20 tickets and 5 ☔️ in set. This way I can cover my lacking tickets and also save 10 remained tickets for next collection event.

6. Rapid story reading means you’ll have to do Grace Challenge faster than normal pace reading, make sure you do princess lessons to collect Grace enough to pass each challenge.

7. I bought all premium attires in Kenshin’s route with coins, so no need to use any golds. If you plan to buy the attires by golds, make sure you have enough golds to buy all attires to pass the Beauty Challenges with no freezing.

Beauty Challenge Requires 🈴 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th chapter

8. In case of having not enough parasols at the end of event, I’ll cover it by using some items to do extra princess lessons to reach 410 touch bonus on the last day.

9. Early Clear Bonus in collecting event is different from story event, it’s more like special bonus, not exactly an early bird. First Early Clear Bonus requires 160 parasols within 144 hrs. and the second requires 220 Parasols within 192 hrs. after entered an event. So base on my plan, if we used up at least 20 extra tickets on the first Lucky Lessons Time, we’ll eventually get both bonus in time.

HNK Chapters 84+ Predictions: More sad scenarios!!

Guys... Another bad scenario prediction popped in my head this morning! This time, it’s for what may happen within the next few chapters with Phos. (I’ll likely come back to edit this some more later)

OK. From where we left off in the story, Phos is still broken physically and mentally and is now likely hellbent on wanting to shatter the other gems. Not just the earth gems, mind you: he clearly meant ALL gems.

Aechmae will certainly use this for his advantage. At this point in time, we don’t know how long Phos had been unconscious and during that time, Aechmae could have been busy coming up with some sort of weapon that Phos could use to destroy the gems. And by the time Phos reaches Aechmae, this theoretical weapon could be complete but not yet tested... 

Now, if Aechmae wanted to see how far Phos is willing to go with this new “Destroy the gems” mindset, he will more than likely have Phos test this weapon out before he sends him out to use it, right? For a task like this, it would be a good idea to test it on gems with a high hardness level to ensure that non of the strong gems would have a chance against it, right?

Now... Who better to be used as a test subject than not only one of the hardest gems that is currently on the Moon, but someone who, unlike all of the other gems on the Moon, is currently not happy. The one gem, other than Phos, who had been suffering all this time, who had been somewhat isolated by the other gems, and despite all of the ‘treatments’ he’s receiving, who hasn’t shown any signs of getting any better.

That’s right: Yellow Diamond.

This scenerio, much like the other one I made, would be super heartbreaking because Yellow is probably the only other gem left on the Moon who still cared about Phos at least to some degree. In addition, besides Padparadscha, Yellow had some understanding of Phos and his past actions, and much like Phos, Yellow is currently not in a good place mentally and yearns for some form of comfort that the other Moon gems are not providing. (thanks guys...)

Now I’ll admit that this will post will not be as polished as my other bad scenario post, for there is a lot of uncertainty as to how this would play out. So there will be a lot of ‘maybes’ here and there, so I hope you can bear with me.

And I’ll also admit that this scenario might be a bit of a stretch, but knowing how unpredictable the story can get, anything can happen. Just hopefully not this.

NOW... Picture this if you will:

Phos has finally reached Aechmae. Perhaps his body is still a broken mess like it was in chapter 83 or perhaps it’s fitted with that 7th treasure everyone has been predicting. Regardless of his physical state, the main focus should be that Phos is now with Aechmae, the snake, and he has his full attention and sadly, is now fully on his side.

Aechmae presents Phos with a weapon. What the weapon would look like, we don’t know. It could be a sword, a mace, a pistol, or something we have never seen before. But it’s appearance isn’t what’s important; what is important is that this weapon is specialized one. This weapon was specially crafted to break down any gem, even ones with the hardness of 10+.

Aechmea signals for someone to come into his room. Phos turns to see who it is.

Yellow comes in with his confused, somewhat vacant gaze. He doesn’t know why he was suddenly called out by the leader of the Moon people. He honestly wasn’t too interested but at this point, he’d take any form of attention since the other gems haven’t spoken to him since he jumped out his window and the other Moon people’s words just made him feel empty. But as soon as he gets into the room, it wasn’t Aechmae that caught his attention; it was Phos. 

Yellow lights up and runs up to Phos, happy and also extremely concerned about his drastic change in appearance, but for a moment, Yellow didn’t care. He embraces Phos and starts asking many questions, like what happened to him? How did he get back to the moon? 

What did the other gems say/do? 

Is Phos alright? 

It’s been a long time since he last saw Phos and it’s been even longer since he had felt anything other than emptiness since he had last been on earth. For a moment, Yellow was starting to feel like his old self again...

Now... depending on Phos’s mental state at this point, this part of the scenario can go in two different ways, though would end with the same, sad conclusion. Maybe Phos still has some sympathy left for his dear Yellow Diamond, who had suffered over these past 220 years. Definitely not the same way Phos had suffered but Phos knew Yellow had suffered regardless; he can see it on his face. For these reasons, perhaps Phos does what he does next because he wanted to help Yellow by permanently liberating the tired gem, so he wouldn’t have to suffer anymore... so Yellow can finally be at rest with the other gems that he had lost all those years ago.

Or... maybe Phos had no sympathy left to give. That familial connection that he had with all gems in general is gone. It didn’t matter that this was Yellow, the last gem existing who stood by his side and understood even a little bit of Phos’s pain. 

Yellow was still a gem. 

And all gems needed to be destroyed so Phos can be free. 

ALL GEMS.

Without missing a beat, Phos uses the weapon on the unsuspecting Yellow. 

The weapon broke his body into large chunks, with some shattering into smaller pieces as they hit the floor.  

Yellow’s face twists with shock and confusion as parts of his body starts to crumble, forcing him to his knees or what’s left of his lower body. 

 With at least one good arm still gripping onto the chimera gem, Yellow stares up at Phos with bewildered wide eyes, weakly asking him...begging him, for some sort of explanation. 

Why, Phos? 

Why are you doing this?

Maybe Phos will say something along the lines of “To end your suffering/ to give you peace” to give Yellow some sort of comfort.

Or something worse and tragic like: “You’re in my way.” 

Or possibly something just as heartbreaking: he says nothing. 

He doesn’t owe Yellow anything.

He owes this gem nothing. 

Yellow had no time to react any further as he crumbles into pieces..into dust.

Phos looks down at what was left of Yellow for a good moment before turning to Aechmae, expressionless.

Aechmae simply nods and states that Phos is ready for the next step.

The end. 

Like I said before.. this maybe a bit of a stretch. But I can’t help but feel that if the story does go down the “Berserk-Phos-kills- all- the gems” route, that something like this would happen.

I really REALLY don’t want this to happen but knowing Ms. Ichikawa, who loves to make us readers suffer, the story could go anywhere and this scenario could happen in some way. 

Ugh. This makes more nervous for future chapters. And now the rest of you can suffer with me until then!!
