I been thinking about implications in AB!Jinchul AU like
Both he and Jinwoo are in constant concentration because both posses god-like (and actual god) strength and losing control over it will result in disaster
But the way Jinwoo can probably never understand Jinchul because while they’re both vessels, they’re completely different kinds of vessels.
Jinwoo was a human that through chain of events was chosen and reshaped into a fitting vessel, even after changes he undergone he’s still HIM. Deep inside this all human Jinwoo triumphs over Shadow Monarch who accepted him as a successor.
But Jinchul is a completely different case. Jinchul is true god’s reincarnation, a being that was shaped and exists purely for god. He isn’t like Jinwoo who became a vessel, Jicnhul IS a vessel. His entire existence was refined through centuries, millennia old process of shaping and perfection through generations, a full stained glass made of countless colorful pieces that perfectly match.
While Jinwoo sometimes questions if Monarch in him taking over too much, Jinchul wonders if he’s even himself at this point. If he even exists as ‘Woo Jin-Chul’ or was he an Absolute Being the whole time. Even Jinwoo was born a free person, a human who can walk his own path. Jinchul’s entire existence was pre determined and he’s forced to walk a destined path.
So while Jinwoo’s slip of control results in his mana pouring in world and causing local destruction, Jicnhul’s potentially can erase space and time.
Imagine tired Jinchul getting lost in thoughts so much his control slightly slipped and man literally almost cracked their entire realm of existence, people dragging Jinwoo here so he’ll stop it wheeze. Jinwoo just bringing Jinchul out of his stupor like ‘hate to distract you but you’re literally creating cracks in this plane of existence please stop—‘
Or Jinchul unconsciously slowing or stopping time when there’s too much work and deadlines are approaching and he’s so tired and angry and frustrated. He probably notices only when he checks clock for 10th time and it’s still midnight or when he accidentally knocks his cup of tea with elbow and it just freezes mid fall with all its remaining contents. Jinchul freaking out every time but also kinda not (mostly because most of stuff he does is unconscious and he hates and fears not being able to control it all hence why he practices even more self control and restraint).
And Jinchul really appreciates Jinwoo’s support and affection but he’s also frustrated no one can really understand how terrifying it is to hold such strength in himself without even properly understanding it’s limits and being in constant fear of it coming out of control.

so, final verdict: I’m neutral on the Netflix live action avatar. It’s ok. It had some really effective scenes that made me super excited and cheering at my screen, and one particular scene that actually made me tear up, but also a lot of clunkiness and odd characterization and narrative choices that weakened the experience. Overall, it was decidedly average to me, but I’m really really hoping it doesn’t get cancelled. What a treat to see an entirely poc cast kicking ass on my screen. Now someone please give them a better script and dialogue for season 2.
