I've shared excerpts of my work before and friends have been like of Course you wrote that Iz and it makes me feel good. I'd also like to think it's direct/easy to understand while still being interesting, but, well, I'm biased on that regard LOL.

First kiss fics. Love em or hate em?

okay actually genuinely I love them. the most appealing part of characters kissing to me is figuring out Why they want to smash their mouths together and first kiss fics are some of the most dedicated to distilling that question to its essence and building the scene/fic around it. SUPER fun!

Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

yes, pretty much always! lately i've been repeating Middle Distance Runner by Sea Wolf (I fall back on this one a lot, I like listening to it for introspective scenes) and That Unwanted Animal by The Amazing Devil.

What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

mostly microsoft word, sometimes google docs (if I'm writing on the go), and, when I'm particularly stuck or just getting started, directly in AO3

sooooo many. even more of them are "shelved" / liable to come back from the dead one day, though.

I have, in the past, attempted the spicy stuffs, but I've never posted it LMAO. I did, however, use to pass them around for friends on Google Docs, which means I do have a most popular NSFW fic. i wrote it in high school. it was way more comedy than smut. the fake official name was "there's a first time for everything" but nobody has ever called it anything other than HJAU, which stands for. well. hand job alternative universe. don't worry about it!

Do you have a preferred time of day to write?

either early morning (coffee time), mid/late afternoon (coffee time again), or once it's dark out.

What's a trope you will never write?

okay I make enough snarky comments about writing tropes I don't like into something that I do, or criticizes the aspects I don't like of them, where it's hard for me to say "never". but probably soulmate AUs - people do interesting stuff with them, but I don't trust myself to be one of those people.

nahhh, my writing is too... selective for that LMAO. also it's more fun for me for it to be a hobby i don't make money from. i want to take more requests, though! once i finish my first set.

oh my god i LOVE them. I've gotten one piece of fanart directly based on one of my fics and it was lovely.

mix of both, really depends on the fic. if I'm feeling cocky and think I can knock it out in a sitting or two, seat of my pants, if not, outline.

What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

write what you want to read, and for an intended audience of you and like, 1-5 cool people you know will read it. other people may read it too, and if they do, that Rules, but it's so much easier to embrace fanfic as a labor of love if your primary focus is on you and your friends having fun.

I don't really use this term ever LOL. I definitely explore like... vent-y stuff most often through ... galahad ... though.

sorry it took so long :( as we speak my mum is doing some more work in my kitchen and i've had barely any alone time this week. have to go grocery shopping right after this.

oh ENTERTAINMENT that sounds interesting. can u elaborate on that a little or is that too much personal info for comfort? i had a brief moment of panic yesterday when a client called in in french and my brain just completely short circuited so fast that i couldn't even apologise for my french being bad in french to her lmao i'm so embarrassed. i was born and raised here, yes!

one of my favourite shows as a toddler was bananas in pajamas hahaha i still remember what it looks like and when i got older i used to watch animated shows like batman and biker mice from mars?? golden oldies. i think it helps that shows are subtitled instead of dubbed here, you pick up a thing or two just by watching. a favourite accent? hmm not so much i think, maybe more northern ones? i know people make fun of those sometimes but as someone from "the north" myself i can appreciate a nice "ugly" accent hahaha. i just like the way it flows? the intonation. scottish/irish is always nice to listen to, too, but more in a sense of how they pronounce their words? if that makes sense?

the mall didn't burn down entirely (like from the outside it looked fine). the ventilation system caught fire so it was more internal—ceilings and all that. covered things with soot(?) and ashes so the entire mall was closed for nearly 2 years. and hey, i've experienced a school fire too back when i was younger. i, too, thought it was nothing but a fire drill until i saw the charred remains of the buildings behind our school : D thankfully, no one died.

YES, A PATTERN IN THE BIASES (if you count an analysis of two ppl as a pattern, that is.) because it's the same pattern i have for my biaswreckers :D jake & seungmin, not only do they have the same animal to represent them, they have the same 'golden retriever' type of personality that just makes you go all soft. ygwim ;n; i wish i could elaborate but both boys just devastate me in the same level and my friends pointed out that they were quite similar in some aspects.

oof the pd48 scandal is extremely complicated. to condense it in a few statements: all of the girls' rankings have been rigged since the very beginning and it was rumored that they already had their end group before the show even started. it was like this for pf48 and pdx101 (group x1) which was why x1 disbanded within a month of debuting, and izone were on hiatus for like 4 months. im not the best at explaining stuff like this haha, but i think you get it. you can check out yt or search up 'pd48 scandal', a ton of articles and videos. as for new groups, nothing has been made clear yet. theyve only made instagram handles for now and appeared on variety shows haha. as for acting career, hyewon was supposed to do acting but was forced to join pd48 so maybe she'll continue acting afterwards? nothing is confirmed yet!
