summary: its known that seb has been married for a few years now despite the public never seeing is wife, its also known that yn is in a committed relationship and has been since she disappeared from public eye. maybe they are more connected than people realise

authors note: i have had this idea on my mind for SO LONG so im very pleased to finally be writing it. essentially in this, yn is taylor and seb is joe but no one has ever seen him nor know his name, if that makes sense? honestly i have no clue how this will turn out but i needed to write it

this album has been such a rewarding piece to create and im so glad that soon enough you will all be able to listen and enjoy it with me! one thing i love in particular about this album is the song ‘dress’

dress was originally a piece i started to write when making reputation however i felt it was right to keep it to myself, to keep it between my partner and i for a little while longer. however recently our lives have been changing for the better, and while that lid of privacy will still be on, i want to share more with you guys

you have all been on this journey with me and you have treated my partner and i with the upmost respect and for that i thank you. for me dress is a letter, its statement, its a declaration of my love for him and im very grateful to be able to give this to you all

this song is one im very proud of, i really enjoyed writing this the first time, and getting to revist and polish it up felt very special to do.

Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.

ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. So when she has a choice to make, like here, she can't do it without feeling the need to ask Charlie. BUT NOOO, YA HAD TO GO WITH THIS!! Wow. That was a long ass rant. Wtf 😭

Maybe I'm a dumbass. Maybe they'll talk about that next episode, but still, atleast touch on it a bit to not seem rushed?

Everyone fears to be like Lucifer. If they don't do bad things they believe are for the greater good and make sacrifices that put them higher than those in hell, they could themselves be fallen. It's really interesting but I don't know if it's going to be fleshed out enough with the amount of episodes left. Which also worries me about everything else that still hasn't be concluded. There's gonna be loose strings I just know it. Hopefully though they rather do that then rush everything out y'know?

I want the next episode to be mostly focused on Vaggie and Charlie's relationship and the healing of what happened. Not for the entire episode of course, it would feel drawn out if it did, but atleast address the problem for the first like I would say 10 minutes? Then the rest would focus on one or two loose threads while also having Vaggie and Charlie acting upon moving on. That's just my idea but yeah-

one day after gf!abby came home from patrol, she walked into your shared apartment one day, only to have walked in on you preparing a stocking with her name on it. it made her feel so touched — since she was a girl, she'd always secretly dreamed for a day where she would be shown as much love as she was worth. safe to say this brought her to tears.

you didn't even notice her initially since you were facing the fireplace, stocking in hand, with your back to the door where she entered. you were softly humming some obsolete christmas song as you picked a variety of small and delicately wrapped presents from the mantel, placing them each carefully into the stocking.

she just stood there and stared at you. it was as if she was frozen, shoes glued to the floor. not to mention the shock on her face — soft lips agape, slowly widening eyes and a gentle flush that eventually covered her freckled cheeks. it was the sight of you making time for her that did it. you had thought about her, her happiness, your love, and you made an effort for her, which was something she wasn't so used to; eventually you noticed her tearful presence behind you once you heard a tiny sniffle that made your heart jump in surprise.

"abby, baby," you cooed, immediately hooking the stocking onto the mantel. you rushed over, cupping her slightly dampened cheeks in your hands, wiping her tears away with your thumbs. "are you crying? what's wrong?"

"oh.. i - n-nothing," she chuckled, sniffing once more, "i just - never thought anyone would love me this much to actually make me a stocking."

gf!abby loves to cuddle you by the fireplace — she likes to have you close and in between her legs with your back to her chest, tracing absentminded circles into your skin with her thumb as you read her a book or talk to her about your day. although, she's not really listening; she pays more heed to the glow of your skin by the fire, or the way your voice sounds when you talk. maybe specific ways in which you enunciate each word, or how passionate you sound when you speak. either way, her mind is immersed in the way you are and your person as a whole — she feels so lucky to have you by her side.

once you rise, your back presses directly into her chest and the intimacy radiates profusely between you two as you sway together. her head dips into the crook of your neck and she presses her nose into your skin with a soft sigh of content as she whispers with love into your ear, the sweet nothings only manifesting butterflies along with a familiar warmth in your stomach that grows worse the longer her thick fingers trail along your hipline.

I've gone through the entire ST4 score about 5 times, and im not sure this is the right track for when mike and el talk before argyle comes in with the pineapple pizza, but the track name really stands out so I though I'd share my theory and ask about your opinion. imo its probably the closest sounding track but I'm also running on 30 hours of no sleep and I'll admit, it feels like a bit of a stretch.

anyways, i'll get into it. there is a few parts but I think its a good one or at least thought provoking.

-so, the closest track imo, and also the only one with a name that references the pizza place is "Surf that Tasty Pie". if you're familiar with "The First I love You" and others, you'll know capitalisation is ~interesting~. there's a few track names that only capitalise the first word, so the choice of capitalising "Tasty Pie" means it must be significant. - also, if you apply grammar rules, its means "Tasty Pie" is a place, person or acronym. doesn't seem like a place, and its certainly not an acronym, so it must be a person.

-after this track plays, argyle comes in and breaks up the moment mike and el are having (conversation about their fight and neither look happy to be talking about this) the track is stopped by argyle throwing a pineapple pizza onto the table. mike is offended immediately. he is also very adamant that fruit on a pizza is *blasphemous*.. interesting choice of words. fruit, and being called fruity, has been a common slang term for gay people, and blasphemy has connections to doing things that are disrespectful to God.. you know what would have been considered very *blasphemous* in the 1980's? being gay. argyle's phrase of "try before you deny" on the phone call following the mention of the pineapple they have in store earlier in the season and el's repetition of argyle's statement and determination to make mike see that fruit on pizza is okay, not blasphemous, may not be as pointless as we once first though.

now the part that seems the easiest to explain

-pizza = pie. the "Pie" or pizza that arrives in shot when the track is stopped is a fruity pizza. two out of three of the people at this table agree that this pizza is tasty. what else do we know is fruity? will ! (also his coded conversation with Jonathan happens less than 3 minutes of the pizza coming out)

probably the most convoluted was of showing that mike is being encouraged to "Surf that Tasty Pie", or in not so cryptic messaging - go for will. essentially, its okay to be fruity and go for fruity things. this works oddly well with the idea that mike has internalised homophobia, as it's his friends helping him realise that being queer is okay, unlike his parents where, presumably, he gets the blasphemy sentiments - I know anyone can be homophobic but the wheelers did canonically (iirc) have a Reagan sign for the 1984 election sooo..

some of this feels like a joke, but there's some that is really interesting how it falls into place - also !! im not claiming the pizza = fruity theory, I've seen it floating around but not sure where the credit is due, unfortunately. the fact that theres a track with this name did add to my belief that maybe this scene had more to it than face value. anyways, thank you for reading, and if you made it this far, I'm so sorry for what I put you through haha

I'm running to listen to this and see if it fits! I think the song that plays is a mix of some of the scores but this theory is very interesting!! If it's true that they really pay this much attention to details this could be an inside joke between them!! Thank you!!! 👏👏

edit: after listening again I'm convinced it's a mix of surf that tasty pie and unambiguous true love for the base maybe

second edit: bullshit, I don't know I'm listening again and it doesn't fit enough with unambiguous true love.... it could fit some parts of Letter to Willy!!! someone who studied music needs to help us with this

"ohoho, traveler. my beloved here is a very lovely person!! they love taking care of me whenever i get drunk, diluc would even tell me everytime im out at the angel's share, drinking with rosaria and kaeya that everytime i pass out, they would come running in the to me just to take me home and take care of my drunk self haha! there are many things that i found very lovable about them, so many that i wont even be able to count them. i trust them with my whole heart, i have also told my story about them, me being an archon and such, she just sat down there and listened to me blabber all things i wanted and needed to say, she was just listening to me, not interrupting me and smiling. when the time came that i had finished my story, she hugged me sincerely and smiled at me saying that she accpets me for who and what i am. i couldnt be more lucky to have them in my life and oh! i also write poems and would even make a song for them just to see their lovely smile! ah, love it is, i cant just help it, i love them too much and with my whole heart."

dont say sorry we love the paragraphs!! tbh i cant stand a lot of md fanfics because of how they characterize uzi in particular, they just do not do her depth justice. and you're so right about the narration too. its so subtle but a lot of great fics go above and beyond to take narration from just describing the world to actually representing a characters perspective- literally and figuratively. hostile takeover is a masterclass in it tbh. its actually inspired me to try and get into writing for md because you need to be the content you want to see in the world ig- im starting with rp rn though because i find that to be the easiest way to get into a characters head, ya know? also your dollxn piece made me physically ill (positive). im shipping them now but exclusively in the way your fanart is framing it (also great song choice listening to it and staring at the art really sent me) - juzi anon

I think a good narration is like, an unspoken art when it comes to writing. I LOVE fics that make a point to have the characters thoughts be a part of the narration; It speaks volumes to how that person write the character themself and can even make for some really impactful dialog thats not even spoken. I think the biggest strength of Hostile Takeover (from the chapters I've read!) is its ability to make a character's narration show the subtle, unseen things about the characters themselves. (Which is why I love J's chapters so much, J puts up such a large persona that being able to read the thoughts she actually has is so!!! arugh!!!!!)

Also: I'm glad to see you taking an inspiration for writing, I've honestly thought many a time to force myself into writing fics just because theres so many ideas I have that I do not have the time or skill to illustrate lol. I actually started posting artwork because I wanted to see more fanart for my own rarepair!!! And I can understand the whole roleplaying thing (I haven't roleplayed canon characters since my.. *shudders* MMO days /j) I grew up on roleplaying and still do on occasion! (OCs I mean haha) I think its a great stepping stone to writing full blown chapters and stuff, all about practice or whatever!!

oh and: I'm glad you liked that piece lmao. N x Doll is one of those ships I thought about for 2 seconds and went "wait no I get it.". "it doesn't matter about anything else, im perfect now". i think this song has a deeper meaning that would fit more cleanly into the storyline of the other songs but im not big brained enough to figure out how exactly if i figure out ill update this. now, massive whiplash as we jump into demoni which is like "i need you here. when im not here my demons play with me" (idk how to better explain it besides just drawing from the og lyrics hah) important to note that this song is the title track. padam is like "i should've believed them instead of going through with us. someone help me. please. where is everyone?" vse kar vem is like "everything ends eventually, you just didn't need me anymore". ona is like "you never cared. but i care so much. so so much". tokio is like "we're not gonna see each other again. only photos will know we were together". note the more peaceful music as opposed to the deeply upset vibe of the others. kind of ironic how ngvot is like "ah, so we meet again. we've both changed albeit differently. we don't talk about it anymore though!" note the incredibly happy music of the song it's so incredibly jarring hearing them repeat "we dont talk about it anymore" with this happy ass music lmfao lastly novi val is like really abstract and could really mean a lot of things. i take it as a general message but it could really be anything. also note that it makes me want to cry so bad. one day im gonna bawl my eyes out because of that goddamn song agh OKAY UM OKAY. so basically the whole album is about a slow acceptance of the breakup but still feeling bitter about it at the end. i think. however this mystery person (probably called katrina) that the singer broke up with could've been anything tbh. you can interpret this really broadly and i think that's why i like the album so much too. it doesnt have to just be about events and feelings post-breakup but also just things in a general sense. so you can find solace in the album regardless of what your situation is. i think thats pretty neat.

i feel like i dont have that many hobbies because i work ALOT. my friends say that i am a workaholic :( when Im at work, i basically run around like the world is going to end if that task isn’t done in the next two seconds. i have the mind set of “if you want things done right, you have to do it yourself” - which stresses me out and idk why I am like that HAHA

ive been told that i look very intimidating and mean, but once you get to know me im an uwu baby. that im very down to earth and emotional. but i make friends very easily - considering people have told me even though i look mean but i have an inviting aura which draws them in.

i’m pretty extroverted lol i make friends wherever i go and always see people i know whenever im out

i have a hard time expressing myself verbally. that whenever i try to tell someone how i feel about something, i start to get tongue-tie and stressed and upset. probably cause i feel too much at the same time :( so what i end up doing is just writing out how i feel and showing them (which is kind of rare lol)

but when Im talking about something that i love - Iiget loud LMFAO I start to talk with my hands more than i already do, i start talking very fast. then when i noticed that im doing that, i stop and apologize for being annoying HAHAH

my friends call me a tsundere (only applies with anime characters - not IRL people) because there will be a character that i cannot stand at first and then i will start to slowly like them and be VERY MEAN AND ANGRY ABOUT IT. eventually that character will turn into one of my favorite characters and i love them with all my heart - but will still be mad about it.

but tbh i’m such a hopeless romantic! if we’re dating i love you with all my heart.

my love language are : quality time, physical touch and words of affirmation. i will want to spend all my time with you. i am a very touchy person. words of affirmation is very important to me because i am very self conscious about basically everything about me *sigh* BUT IM TRYING TO WORK ON IT <3
