a soft “can you pass the salt, angel?” makes zero pause. his eyes are wide and his lips part, surprised at the sudden pet name. you’re gazing so lovingly at him, brows furrowed and pretty lips pulled up into a gentle grin. you’re so pretty. zero feels his hands shake as he clutches the tablecloth, his mind running haywire as he tries to process what you said. you’d wanted something, right? zero sucks in a breath when every else you said finally makes sense. salt, you want the salt. he feels heat rising to his cheeks as he grabs it, passing it to you. “uh, yeah.” he fumbles, your voice in his ears repeating the pet name over and over. angel, angel, angel.

“you’re so mean to me, jellybean.” you stick your tongue out at edgar, his usual serene smile plastered on his face. “oh? alice, if i didn’t know any better i’d say you just called me something new.” he grins wider, leaning closer to you as your face flames up. you’re just about to tell him that he’s imagining things and that the cheesy pet name did not just pass through your lips, but the words get caught in your throat when he presses his lips against yours.

“you’re working too hard, darling.” you muse, placing a gentle hand on kyle’s back. he’s completely zoned into his work, shut off from the rest of the world. of course he didn’t hear you. you’ve always found yourself expressing your concerns to yourself before making sure he has a nice bowl of soup to eat when he’s finally done for the day. you turn to make your way to the kitchen, but the loud slam of a book closing makes you whip around. “wait, what did you call me?” kyle asks, eyes now glued to your form. if you didn’t know any better, you’d think his cheeks were pink.

“welcome home, apricot!” you beam the second harr walks through the door. his heart jumps into his throat when you wrap your arms around him, face buried in his chest. his hands float around your back before he presses them to your clothes, hugging you softly. he averts his eyes from you as his cheeks burn up, your little nickname having much more of an effect than you’d thought. it’s so sweet that you pay attention to what he likes. he loves you so much.

I didn’t even enter ships in the wheel this time but let the wheel pick two characters at random and ended up with a polyship I hadn’t really thought about but ended up loving after writing it! Who accidentally pushes a door instead of pulling/vice versa?

Jonah occasionally does it but please, dear god, please don’t mention it when he does because he will pout and sulk harder than anyone you have ever met. And definitely don’t let Luka mention it and don’t mention it to his brother if Luka does it. Just pretend it never happened or this man will be honestly so flustered and upset.

Who doodles little hearts all over the desk with their initials inside them?

Both Luka and Jonah would carve their own initials and yours into a tree…probably even the same tree. One on the Clemence family property. Bonus here, but Luka, if Jonah’s done it first, cuts out that chunk of tree but only when you’re not looking and pretends to be innocent if it’s mentioned.

Who starts the tickle fights?

You would have to. I feel like both men would find it adorable if you were ticklish but Jonah’s a bit too gentlemanly to tickle you and Luka’s a bit too flustered by showing that much physical affection out of the blue and worries that you wouldn’t like being tickled. He sure didn’t when Jonah would tickle him during their childhoods to get his way in any arguments the brothers had as kids.

Who starts the pillow fights?

Jonah loves pillow-fights but is terrible at them. If you start it, he will pretend it’s childish and not proper but like, ten seconds later, he’s totally participating and smiling. Luka is the pillow-fight champ though. He never starts them, but he definitely wins them. The aim that man has is top fucking notch.

Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small affectionate smile?

I feel like this would switch quite often. Sometimes, the boys just had rough days and are all tired out and fall asleep so easily that you’re the last one awake. With how angelic and soft their features are normally, it’s absolutely breath-taking to see thick eyelashes against their cheeks, to see pillowy lips just slightly open…it’s just a gorgeous sight and it’s a crime not to admire it. If you do end up falling asleep before them though, I do feel they would both take the time to just watch you. Luka only does it very briefly and then would, if he was going to bed, crawl in beside you and get comfortable, taking in your scent and the warmth of having you next to him in bed. Jonah would linger longer and would be the one to make sure the covers were snug on you and that you looked comfortable before getting himself ready for bed.

Who mistakes salt for sugar?

It’s you. Jonah actually eats a lot of sugar and can spot the difference between the two easily. I can’t even explain how he can, but he can. Being the cook of the two, Luka just knows where each is kept, having organized the kitchen, and would taste test to make sure if the kitchen ever did get disorganized.

Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1 a.m. in the morning?

Okay, assuming Cradle had microwaves, I don’t actually feel either man would do this. Jonah tends to eat sweets when he gets midnight cravings and Luka doesn’t eat late at night. It would have to be you and neither of them would exactly appreciate you doing that, just letting you know.

Who comes up with cheesy pick-up lines?

Fuck, don’t let Fenrir or Edgar around Luka when he’s trying to figure out how best to romance you because they will lead him astray because both would find it hilarious and would definitely spy on the two of you later just to see Luka deliver the absolute worst, most cringiest pick-up lines so sincerely. Jonah is perfectly confident, however, that he doesn’t need pick-up lines to win your heart…but do you think they make pick-up lines that work on winning back your brother’s favour? Because those? Those he would be quite interested in.

Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order?

I don’t feel like either of the Clemence boys are that particular about how things are ordered, at least when it comes to things like a bookshelf being in alphabetical order. Luka is very finicky about the kitchen layout and organization, but that’s just because he does cook so often and it’s laid out to be easy for him to find what he needs quickly while Jonah only cares that things are neat, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. I feel like he’d almost embrace the rainbow bookshelf organization than he would alphabetical, leaving this to be you or nobody.

Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies?

Jonah wants to be the one to get the spoon so badly, especially if it’s Luka baking but he’ll never outright ask for it, opting instead for blushing and puppy dog eyes. If you offer it to him though, and it is Luka cooking, be prepared for that salty bitch to throw the spoon into the dishwater before letting his brother have it.

Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion?

This is definitely on brand for Jonah’s personal ideas regarding romance. And what do you mean, what’s the special occasion? Every night spent with you is special in Jonah’s world. And yes, he would seriously say that with a straight face.

Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen?

I’ve mentioned before but Jonah is not into tattoos. They’d have to be something he’d have to learn to love, mostly because they’re a part of you, if you have them and he definitely doesn’t want ink on his skin, even if it is temporary. Luka doesn’t really get the idea of temporary tattoos, though he’s more open-minded than his brother when it comes to the idea of tattoos in general. He’d sit and let you draw on him if you really wanted him too, but you’d be better off finding someone else to be your canvas or artist if you wanted tattoos drawn on or to decorate someone else.

Who comes home with a new souvenir magnet every time they go on vacation?

Both brothers were kind of raised with gifts and things replacing actual affection so it’s not too much of a surprise to find out that they both kind of default into buying you gifts or souvenirs as a way of showing their love or of remembering important occasions like trips taken together.

Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys in the back of magazines?

Luka would be confused by those quizzes at first but would take them if you seemed interested…but then the poor boy would definitely overthink any results from the survey or quiz. And family resemblance time because Jonah lives for those quizzes and definitely overthinks the results as well.

• Alice is sitting innocently on the edge of his bed. Her body is wrapped in Lancelots heavy mantle, but he can see hints of bare skin underneath.

• Approaching Alice while drying his hair, Lancelot raises a single eyebrow at her in question.

• "If I wear the mantle does that mean I am King?" The teasing note in her voice pairs well with the mischievous grin on her face. Lancelot grabs her chin, his fingers brushing along her skin.

• "Only if you can handle the burden the King bears" the whisper is centimeters from her lips, before Lancelot gives her a firm kiss. Lowering her back on the bed behind her he unwrap his mantle from around her body, peppering the skin as it's exposed in marks and kisses.

• His Alice, the sight of her in his mantle drives that fact home. Alice is his.

Ray

• Ray leaves the bathroom to see Alice leaning against his headboard lost in a book. Drawing closer to her, Ray quickly realizes that her 'blanket' is actually his cape.

• Laughter falls from his lips, startling Akice from her book. She smiles when she sees Ray, shifting a little.

• Looking down, Ray catches a hint of brown leather on her thigh.

• "Alice, Why are you in my cape?" Tilting his head crawls over her, straddling her hips.

• "Because it was comfy and you didn't need it in the shower" her innocent smile is at odds with the twinkle in her eye.

• Ray kisses her, hus hands going under the cape, only to realize there was nothing underneath.

• "Naughty Alice" his voice drops as his pants tighten. He is quick to bear her body, not wanting her to be hidden from his gaze.

• He soaks in the image of her laying on his bed, the cape in question sprawled out under her.

• His fingers use his leg strap as leverage to keep her against him as he presses their bodies together, he makes a mental note to buy her more garters.

Jonah

• When he exits the shower, Alice is sitting in the window. As he draws nearer to her, he realizes she is wearing only his pale pink shirt.

• "Alice" whispering her name, his hands reach out to her, but when his hand carresses her thigh, he feels smooth fabric. Looking down he realizes that long with his shirt, she is wearing his leg strap.

• Feeling suddenly flustered, Jonah slips a finger under one of the buttons on her shirt.

• "You are beautiful" his simple praise does its job as he watches the blush fall over Alice's cheeks. Scooping her up in his arms, he carries her to the bed, laying her down against his pillows.

• Purposely leaving his strap on her thigh, he deftly unbuttons her shirt, watching her skin be revealed. Trailing his finger across her stomach he loves the way she trembles, goosebumps rising in defense of his ghosting touch.

• Keeping the focus on Alice his fingers finally make their way down to his leg strap. Slipping a finger under it, he eases it down her leg. His lips follow it in kisses, the mewls and whimpers are a melody for him alone.

Luka

• Luka's eyes widen when he sees Alice sitting on the bed, his casual jacket is buttoned up, but he can't see anything else on.

• "Alice-" her name leaves his lips in a whisper as he draws near. His face breaks out in a blush.

• "Where are your clothes?" His fingers touch her chin and she looks up with innocent eyes.

• "I got cold while I was waiting for you so I wore your jacket. It smells good." Bringing her hand up, she smells the sleeve with a smile. The raising of the jacket reveals her thigh and hip.

• "Stop that," Luka tugs down the jacket, trying to make sense of the situation. His fingers brush her warm skin and more heat spreads throughout her body. Sitting down on the bed he pulls her into his lap. His finger seeks out the warm skin on her hips. Lowering his gaze, his eyes meet her desire filled one's and he can't hold back his desires anymore.

• Pressing his lips to hers, he hungrily kisses her, his fingers teasing thier way down to her core. As his fingers slip into her core he watches them, set on bringing Alice the same urging desire as he is feeling.

• Pouting, Alice blushes at being caught, she was hoping to get one up on the mischievous Jack. Edgar scoops her up and places her on top of his desk. He can't help but admire her in his jacket, his beautiful Alice. Trailing his finger along her jaw, he pictures her in a full red army uniform and his pants tighten. Massaging her thighs he notices that all she is wearing is his officer jacket and a wicked smile graces his face.

• Slipping his hand in between her legs, he teases her, keeping the jacket on. How would the Black Army react to their S/O getting hurt while protecting them from a minor potential injury?

It had begun when Belle wanted to catch a butterfly. He had stalked it all the way through to where Ray and you had been relaxing together. The butterfly had landed near Ray, to which he was oblivious, unlike you.

Ray is stunned for a few seconds, realizing you had taken the hit for him, before taking you to get it cleaned up

He is grateful...but annoyed, ngl. You didn't have to do that, you weirdo.

It wouldn't have been the first time he was scratched by Belle, but he never wanted you to take on any pain that was meant for him.

After your hand is all wrapped, he covers it in kisses, many times.

"If I can handle the battlefield, I can handle a few scratches from a cat. Don't ever do that again, understand?"

He doesn't let go of that hand until he absolutely has to.

Sirius Oswald

He wasn't even sure how it happened.

You were helping him move a pile of books across HQ, and it had been relatively uneventful as you engaged in idle chat.

He insisted on carrying the majority of the books of course and no protest from you was going to deter him.

Lowkey, you were a bit pouty about it, until you noticed the door ahead was starting to open.

Now, Sirius was just a few steps ahead of you, with you trailing just a little behind. However you also noticed that Sirius was clearly not aware of the door because he wasn't slowing down.

Then the door suddenly flew open as Seth opens it from the other side with vigor, unaware of either of you until it was too late.

You, however were fast enough to get between Sirius and the door before he got hit with it and while you had intended to catch the door, what actually ended up happening was you catching the door...on your face.

The door literally slams open on your face.

You dropped all the books and papers in your hands and clutched your face as it aches from between your brows to your nose as the area turns a little red.

Seth is beside himself in a panic as Sirius lifts your hands so he can have a look at your poor nose.

Thankfully it's not broken, not even bleeding but it's definitely throbbing and all bruised up. Ouchies.

Seth gets a hell of a lecture until you save him.

Sirius immediately has you seated as he gently rubs the bridge of your nose as tears come to your eyes.

Yes, it's that sore.

He is thankful you were protecting him, really, but he really wished he hadn't gotten hurt in the process.

"Little lady, why would you do that? Look at your nose, that's got to hurt."

He kisses the area and treats you to your favourite food, made by him just for you, to show you how much he appreciated it.

Luka Clemence

He felt so bad about this, really bad.

You had been helping him with dinner that evening and one of the big steel pots was sitting precariously on the edge of the counter. Problem was, Luka was standing by that same counter and was too occupied with cutting carrots to notice it.

Thus, when he lightly bumped the counter, that's all it took for the pot to slip right off. And from the trajectory, it was obvious Luka's foot would be on the receiving end.

Now, this steel pot was big. Really big. And it was falling from quite a distance...with hot soup in it. So Luka was going to be limping for awhile and in a lot of pain if it touched him.

But you weren't about to let your boyfriend suffer such a fate, were you, Y/N?

You rushed quickly to his side, startling Luka with your sudden movement as you crouch down to catch the pot in your hands. At least...that was the plan.

Either you underestimated the weight and heat of the pot, the velocity of the fall, or overestimated your ability to catch.

Either way, the burning pot didn't so much land in your hands, so much as on your wrist. Very awkwardly and painfully so.

The kitchen is soon filled with your cry of pain. It's like ice in Luka's heart as he immediately gets the thing away from you.

You now have a sprained wrist and mild burns on your palms. You poor thing...

He has you put your hands under some cold water and doesn't let you spend even another second in the kitchen.

He knows you were trying to protect him and he loves you for it but...

"Please don't do that again. I want to be able to protect you... so I don't want you to get hurt for me like that, ever."

He presses his lips against your wrist, and then against your own, hoping he can convey his feelings through a sweet kiss.

Seth Hyde

Neither of you were entirely sure how it went down like this. Literally.

So what had happened was that you were walking with your boyfriend on a date, and he stumbled.

On what? To this day, neither of you are entirely sure.

But he trips and stumbles, gravity fails him, he falls backwards.

But not to worry! Y/N to the rescue!

You rush to catch him, subconsciously aware that he is too big to catch at that speed. You go for it anyway.

And instead of catching him, you end up falling too, succumbing to his weight.

Seth expects to feel the cold hard ground underneath him, except he just feels something soft and cushy...followed by a muffled yelp.

It took him a few moments to realize you were the cushion that saved him and he is on his feet in 0.00001 seconds, whilst holding you bridal style.

He will be so dramatic, mourning and devastated that you took the brunt of the fall.

"My sweet Aliceeeee, why would you do such a thing?!"

"You...would've gotten dirty..."

But now you're the one who is dirty. Squished and dirty. Poor darling!

He will insist on carrying you for the majority, if not the rest of the day, snuggling you close in his chest.

"Nooo, I can't let you do that again! I can never let my precious Alice get hurt for me! I'm the one who should be protecting you! "

Expect to be spoiled and treated like a princess for the remainder of the day.

Fenrir Godspeed

It was silly really. Really silly.

You had been with him in the barracks when a few of his soldiers decided to play a little joke on him.

They snuck up on the two of you with a basket of tomatoes and barely contained snickers.

Fenrir didn't see them but you certainly did. You weren't sure what they were up to, but judging from the red fruit, you knew it wouldn't be pleasant.

You knew very well that your boyfriend would not take this well.

That's why, when a series of tomatoes went flying towards the Ace of Spades, you moved automatically towards him.

"Fenrir, look out!"

He only had time to turn your way just as he was being shielded by your body before...

SPLAT!

Your vision is soaked in red as you get pummeled by tomatoes and unfortunately for you, one that was not ripe yet gets you right in the head with the same force as a baseball.

So yeah...OW!

It knocks you off your feet, luckily Fenrir is able to catch you as he realized what was going on.

The soldiers felt so bad. They never meant to hurt you.

Fenrir is not a happy camper but his first concern is you, cause now you have a large bruise spreading in the center of your forehead and a headache to remember.

He appreciates it, but is still not happy as he wipes your face clear and caresses your cheek.

"Thanks babe, but I can take a few hits from a lousy fruit. Better me than you."

He is definitely treating you to a warm bath and cuddling afterwards.

And those soldiers? Well they got paid back in full from their captain. Yikes.

Don't mess with Fenrir's Y/N! Don't do it!

You're gonna be giving them all a run for their money, Fenrir and Loki are the only ones that are able to consistently match your energy while the others are desperately flailing around trying to stop you from doing something to get yourself hurt

That proves more difficult once they find that you won't accept any kind of domestication arc without a heavy round of sassing regardless of who the person is

Sirius is one such individual that definitely gets the brunt of your sharp tongue. He doesn't think he's ever heard someone call him old fashioned in so many creative ways before

Even Jonah doesn't stand a chance and you aren't about to believe that anyone, even Lancelot, would be willing to hurt what everyone had generally agreed was a child in their eyes and too young for any of them to be willing to involve in any kind of violence

That same thing ALSO goes straight out of the window and proves a lot more difficult than they had previously anticipated

They don't know what kind of things they teach you in the land of reason but they definitely don't expect you to be well versed in any kind of battle strategy or weaponry or be so willing to get violent

Strange enough to see from a teenager and stranger to see from a girl, something that you definitely take offence to when they try to put you with Seth to try and get you to relax which somewhat works but ends semi-badly

While everyone else tries to keep you calm, Fenrir adores you just the way you are

He's aware that it's dangerous and doesn't want you on the battlefield either unless absolutely necessary because it isn't as though he wasn't similar to you at your age but he's living having someone who agrees with him around

Kind of takes on the older brother/ best friend position with you which all but sends Sirius into a fit trying to contain not only Fenrir but you as well

On the days that Fenrir is unavailable, sneaking off with Loki to muck around in the woods and say hello to Harr is a definite

If he wasn't already interested in getting to know you because you were the new Alice then he definitely was after hearing the mess that you had made the Black and Red armies during your stay while you casually switched between the two with no issue as if the two didn't see the other as threats

Neither would be too willing to hurt a teenager and you're a frequent guest as both army bases. Kyle can definitely say that he's seen you more than enough times within just a week of you bring in Cradle

You're intolerable to them but they all see you as something akin to a younger sibling

Loki is more than happy to join you in your bouts of chaos while Harr acts as something of a refuge for you while you wait to watch the chaos unfold

Dean especially hates having you around his students

You're a bad influence, go away, but don't go to his brother. That's worse

He tries to also straighten you out which backfires massively as you only take an interest in anything potentially dangerous or 'unlady-like' which kind of breaks down a little of his pride as a teacher but he's not responsible for you, he already has a chaotic sibling to deal with

Aside from Fanrir and Loki though he is generally one of the few that can keep you moderately calm since he has experience

And Luka. Cooking with Luka is what various army members keep getting you to do because of how calming being around Luka is. Only problem is that he's slightly intimidated by you. Only slightly

Chaotic, hard to handle and a complete mess that keeps getting herself in danger and in trouble but they all care about you in weird ways even if they would prefer that you didn't egg Fenrir on or give Oliver ideas for new weapons

okay okay mildly cursed ask but consider: IkeRev mc is from the future and she’s a big tiddy goth gf but also fucking chaotic and Jonah, Blanc, Seth, and Ray aren’t really sure how to react to this thicc queen looking and acting like an absolute badass and then playing Take On Me on the kazoo at three am or making a curtain out of worms on strings.

Since the era is like the late 1800s equivalent, there is going to be a decent amount of disparity between a modern day big tiddy goth and the ladies of that time that would take most of the characters aback for at least a bit but…

Jonah- Boi would be FLABBERGHASTED when he first saw mc with thigh high black socks and short black skirt. Would dramatically shriek. “WHY ARE YOUR LEGS BARE? ARE YOU POOR COMMONERS NOT ABLE TO AFFORD CLOTHES?” “Relax, my legs are covered.” “I CAN SEE YOUR THIGHS RIGHT NOW!” “I can’t help that you can’t stop staring at me like I’m a snack.” “GAH”. He felt obligated to get her at least a formal dress since she arrived here with just her clothes and a bag of cursed crafts. Asking for her measurements and her response “Wouldn’t you like to know, weatherboy.”Although he was shocked the light pink dress he gave her for the upcoming ball trying to feminize her had been dyed black, shredded at the bottom, and worn with combat boots, his outcry halted when he got a peek at top part of the dress, making him blush and think ‘you know, I kind of like this style.’ I think over time there’d be an opposites attract/ worlds collide since he’s goody two-shoes pastel-pink vibes while she’s chaotic dark vibes. Would take him a while to understand why she has to make spider earrings at 1 AM while singing Lady Gaga, but a part of him would learn to open up and understand and admire her for being authentic as she accepts him for who he is and let him let loose of expectations and go a lil wild.

Blanc- Okay he would be ALL FOR IT. Would just see tiddies and think ‘nice’. When he brought her to his house and Oliver yelling at her for dressing immodest, turning to Blanc for reassurance. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. She looks a-okay to me. Thought you were a feminist instead of an oppressor, Oliver. For shame.” He would vibe with whatever mc is doing. Gets a lot of looks as a man in a light suit with pastels skipping down the street with a girl in a mesh top, spikey choker and bracelets, and black thigh high boots with shorts is a sight to see, and Blanc is loving it. Will bob his head eating carrot cake while mc is rapping “Reeses puffs reeses puffs, eat ‘em up eat ‘em up eat ‘em up” and be genuinely curious with what mc is doing and not perturbed at all. She’s making potted plants out of baby doll heads? Cool! Great recycling and ingenuity. Mc offered to pierce his ear and she’d make a carrot earring for him and boy was DOWN for it. Supportive sub bf to wild dom goth gf.

Seth- Would be taken aback because legs showing and clear view of tiddies right away for everyone to see, but would find it hot. “Oh, this Alice is quite naughty I see.” “Boi what the hell boi?” He would want to do makeup looks on mc, seeing how different she looked in more soft makeup vs the sharp thick eyeliner. Seeing her gag at her reflection after that he decided she didn’t need to change, she’s a badass girl with edge so he wants to experiment sharp looks on her and even himself from time to time. “Seth, why are you wearing black leather pants?” Sirius asked. “It’s called fashion, look it up.” Seth and mc say in unison. When he starts pulling the “I’m dangerous you know.” Mc gives him the “B*tch please” look, grab his knife and throw it right on target, shocking him and finding it hot. Finding out she has a knife collection with googly eyes on the handles showed him her chaotic and humorous side. Would be chaotic with the both of them but complement well. Would be down for her to do ear pierces on him so he looks more fabulous than he already is.

Ray- (Lowkey think he had a goth/emo phase at some point in life you cannot tell me he hasn’t put on black eyeliner and would wear edgy clothes). Would probably not say anything about mc’s look but be interested and admire mc’s boldness/edginess. As soon as she found him playing with the cats in the alleyway she gasped “I HAVE TO SHOW YOU THESE” and ripped off her combat boots to show that her knee high black socks had kitty cat toe beans designed on the bottoms. The sparkles in his eyes convinced mc to embroider cat paws to his socks. Ray and Fenrir are already chaotic together so having a wild and chaotic mc into the mix wouldn’t throw anything off. If Ray and mc were a couple they’d still have trio chaos nights with Fenrir, much to the headache of Sirius who has walked in on them trying to recreate Mt. Dew or Monster energy drinks after mc described her staple crop of her time, which always ends in disaster and a blown up kitchen. He would get jealous when his cat Bell starts kneading on mc’s big goth bazoongas, but he gotta get used to it cuz Bell and him share a brain cell and both say “awooga” to mc. Overall would love mc’s spunk and vibe and that encourages him to loosen up. Would support her if she wants to learn basic combat but internally almost faints when seeing her in a black army uniform cuz she looks so cool and badass in it like hot dog this man loves a kick ass babe.

SIPPING HOT CHOCOLATE AND STEALING A KISS - IKEMEN SERIES HEADCANONS (Jean d'Arc, Luke Randolph, Harr Silver, Kennyo)

Jean d'Arc

It was a particularly cold day; even sitting by the fire in the mansion didn't do much to warm you.

Jean noticed you were shivering and wrapped you in his arms. You gazed into his violet eyes and had a better idea.

You took him by the hand and led him to the kitchen. "You didn't want to cuddle?" he asked?

"Let's make some hot chocolate together."

Jean looked at you funny.

"Jean...have you never had hot chocolate before?"

He blinked at you. "Hot...chocolate?"

Oh boy.

You started to pull out the ingredients, grateful that Sebastian kept a well stocked kitchen.

You showed Jean how to whisk the cocoa powder into the warm milk, placing your hand over his when he began to whisk the milk to a near pulp.

"Slow down, Jean. Like this." Your fingers grazed his, the warmth from the stove much needed and comforting.

You remained behind him, wrapping your free arm around his waist in a tender embrace, recalling memories of your youth and how your mother would make this same recipe for you on cold winter days.

When the drink was done, you poured it into two mugs and brought it back to the salon where the fire was still roaring.

Bringing your mug to your lips, you lightly blew on the beverage. Jean watched you, and followed in your steps.

"Gentle...you don't want to spill your drink," you warned him.

Jean waited for you to take the first sip. Bringing the mug to his mouth he took a small sip. "How do you like it?"

"It's hot," he replied with a small smile. "It's good."

He then stole a quick kiss leaving a smile on your lips.

"You had some on your mouth," he said. "It tastes better from your lips," he added, taking another sip from his mug.

Luke Randolph

Luke firmly held your hand, his large hand warm on this cold day, as you both walked through the winter markets.

"I'm running low on my favorite honey and I was hoping to find the stand here that sold it," he said, craning his neck searching for his favorite shop.

You smiled, knowing how much your bear loved his honey. You kept an eye out too as you passed stalls selling scarves and hats and cakes and teas.

But no honey in sight.

"Mhmm, that smells good," Luke announced.

You took in a deep breath, the scent of warm chocolate filling your lungs. "Care to take a break and grab a beverage?"

"Sounds great," he replied, leading you to take source of the delicious scent.

You soon found the source of the scent - a cart selling piping hot mugs of hot chocolate.

After the merchant handed you each a mug, you took a moment to breathe in the rich chocolate aroma.

Luke quickly took a large gulp from his drink. "It's not honey, but it's sweet." He smiled at you as you both savored the warm drink in silence.

After you both drained your mugs, you continued on your search for honey. But you did not have far to go.

"Luke, look!" you called out, spotting the sweet and sticky substance nestled not far from the hot chocolate stand.

Luke's grass green eyes widened as he stopped in his tracks. He turned to you and gave you a quick kiss.

"What was that for?" you asked, surprised.

"If you hadn't suggested stopping for hot chocolate, we might not have found the honey. So thank you."

Luke stole one final kiss before heading towards the jars of honey. "The honey might be sweet, but you are sweeter."

Harr Silver

Harr and Loki had been out all afternoon by the lake catching fish for dinner.

It was a chilly, winter day and you wanted to surprise them with a treat. You thought there would be nothing sweeter than to return home to a fresh pot of hot chocolate.

After gathering all the ingredients, you happily brewed the drink, excited to surprise them with the treat.

Loki bounced through the door first. He gave a quick wave and mumbled something about needing to check something in his room.

Harr soon followed after, carrying a small basket of fish. Smiling, you greeted him and took the basket from him to bring into the kitchen.

When you returned, you were carrying two cups of hot chocolate, the steam still rising from the top.

"I thought you'd like something hot after spending the afternoon out in the cold," you said, handing him a mug.

Harr smiled softly at you, quietly thanking you. "This is quite good," he commented, after taking a sip.

"I only wish Loki had stayed to join us." You had grown use to the family unit the three of you created since moving into the treehouse. While you appreciated alone time with Harr, you also enjoyed spending time with Loki as well.

Harr's eyes narrowed, his silver gaze darkening. "I must disagree."

A slight flush crept on your cheeks, a soft smile spread on your lips.

Harr leaned over and kissed you, his lips sweet from the hot chocolate. "I will never turn down the opportunity to spend time alone with you," he whispered.

Kennyo

"Have you ever had hot chocolate?" you asked Kennyo as you walked hand in hand down the modern day streets of Japan.

Having traveled through the wormhole to present time, Kennyo was like a fish out of water, much like you were when you first traveled through the wormhole to the Sengoku period.

Which character is the most punctual

I have this headcanon that both Sirius and Lancelot are really punctual, have been for most of their lives, but that Harr really does easily lose track of time and back in school, both men were the ones to make sure that Harr didn’t get too wrapped up in something and that he made it to all his classes or appointments or such on time.

Which character is the most political

Both Kings want what is best for Cradle and its citizens. It comes with their positions and they both have strong ideas on how that should be accomplished, as far as how much sacrifice is acceptable to achieve that peace.

Which character is the most likely to want children

You can bet your sweet asses that Sirius has such a huge breeding kink. That man will rest his hands on his partner’s stomach and tell them how he can’t wait for their belly to grow all nice and round with his children before making sure it does. I think part of it is purely a sexual kink but at the same time, he’s definitely interested in making a family of his own and would love to have kids, plural, since his own upbringing included having so many brothers and sisters.

Which character likes pineapple on their pizza

Now, he’d never be so crass as to actually eat something as inelegant as pizza (in public at least and even in private, he’s totally one of those people who eat pizza with a knife and a fork), but it’s Jonah. I think he really loves pineapple in general and he’d like the mix of sweet and savory that pineapple on pizza gives.

Which character drives too fast

If Cradle had cars, I feel like Fenrir would be a speed-demon, but a responsible driver. Seth drives too fast sometimes but his real danger is that he’s such an irresponsible driver who steers with his knees while he reaches for something in the passenger seat or who would talk on his phone while driving and who gets minor road rage.

Which character is the most likely to be a smoker

I do strongly headcanon Dalim smoking cigarettes. Blanc prefers a pipe every now and again and I think Claudius smoked both cigarettes and cigars. I actually have a pretty strong headcanon that Edgar would have some issues with lovers or close friends smoking around him because the smell takes him right back to Claudius and everything about his past with his uncle.

Which character would go vegan

I feel like Blanc doesn’t eat a lot of meat and neither does Harr. Harr eats a lot of fish so he couldn’t go vegan, but I feel like Blanc probably could if he ever chose to.

Which character is a pop music fan

I think, out of the Black Army, Seth and Luka would be bubblegum pop fans, while in the Red Army, it would be Jonah and, surprisingly, Edgar who really took to pop music. Seth definitely sings along to pop music while doing his hair and skin routines.

Which character is a showoff

Both Jonah and Seth, to me, come off as men who can be quite the show-offs, given that both are very dramatic and both of them do quite like attention. Loki can also be somewhat of a show-off at times, because again – attention, please. Fenrir, meanwhile, comes off as a show-off but he really isn’t because he doesn’t do a lot of what he does for attention, but rather because it seemed fun.

Which character is the most religious/spiritual

I don’t think Cradle has the same religions as our universe does, but I do think Amon is religious, in a very cultish way, and that that could be part of what is driving him to do what he does.

Which character skips/skipped classes often

I honestly feel like, though they both tried really hard to be good students, there are times when Ray and Fenrir ended up skipping class and it was probably more frequent than it should have been. Both were just not made to be cooped up at a desk and when a better adventure presented itself, I feel like these two had to take that adventure no matter what.

Which character is the meanest

Have any of you met Oliver? Like, that boy/man has such an acerbic wit and he’s really bad at holding them in. While he is perfectly capable of feeling bad if he does end up hurting someone, he doesn’t pull punches and his words and attitude can cause a lot of people some emotional pain and offense.

Which character can’t swallow pills

I actually have a really strong headcanon that Loki, to go along with his other cat-like features, can’t swallow pills and is really bad at taking any medicine, to the point where Harr has to hide his medication in food or drink whenever Loki gets sick.

Which character takes the scenic route more often than the most direct route

I feel like both Blanc and Mousse are really bad for this. Blanc just gets lost in his thoughts easily and he just kind of idles along, thinking about this and that and taking in the pretty scenery and while he’d meant to take the most direct route, he gets a little turned around and lost and ends up almost having to loop around Cradle just to get where he’s going. Mousse, meanwhile, just likes a slow life without much pressure or stress and he wants the time to stop and smell the flowers and gaze at a really pretty tree or take a nap by a stream. The direct route just seems too impatient, almost, to him.

Which character has the most irrational fears

Ghosts, monsters, and scary stories tend to freak Fenrir the fuck out. Seriously. Does he know those things aren’t real? Does he know there’s no monster in the closet or under the bed and that haunted houses don’t come to life and gush blood from their walls? Yes, logically he knows all of this. But they feel so real whenever he hears one of those stories and he will have some nightmares about them.

Which character has the most sexual experience

I think both Blanc and Dalim have a fair amount of sexual experience, honestly. It’s hinted that Blanc is very old, much older than he looks, and that he’s a bit of a ladies’ man and I do feel like he’s had a sexual affair here and there. I also see Dalim as being a ladies’ man, but he’s more of a playboy who likes casual one-night stands.

Which character is the most fearful of commitment

So, those sexual affairs I mentioned Blanc has? They’re almost entirely with women who are of higher status and thus wouldn’t be allowed to commit to him or to women who are otherwise betrothed or even married and it’s all very hush-hush. He doesn’t want to be with women who could entangle themselves in his life, could push him for commitment because I do feel like he had commitment once, it ended up in some serious heartache for him, and he’s now very trigger-shy about any future commitment.
