🧩 Whin, you flatter me too much, omg. T_T It means a lot that you would show so much interest in my blog despite not being the biggest Ruki fan or anything like that. I try to portray him in a canon way, yet still allowing enough subtle room for my own hot take on him, ahaha. omg i LOVED IT SO MUCH 😭 i dont know why but i didnt have very high expectations for it going in (probably because i just went in blind) but it blew them out of the water. it was just so much fun i felt so :D!!!!!!! the whole time!!!!! jeff my everything.. idk what books finch was feeding him but there mustve been one about autism cause of the way hes stimming like i know its a stereotype but what can i say im calling it like i see it. it was just so heartwarming and sweet and i spent the last half hour in TEARS though i did tear up just from how precious the group was together. my dog was sat next to me and i think he was getting annoyed with me because i kept going "OMG DOG!!" and he thought i was talking to him LOL. almost couldnt bring myself to look at posts after i finished it lest i cried more but im glad i did because i didnt realise how much more expressive jeff gets as the film goes on.. im so proud of him T_T ❤️ but also what a PERFORMANCE from caleb!! im blown away!! overall just really comforting and i WILL be bugging everyone i know about it until they watch it because wow!! so tldr i thought it was quite good :]

ohhh im flattered youd wanna come to me for vil writing advice out of so many other writers around omg T_T vil is one of my favorites so i do have Things to say about him hdhdjkfs hopefully you can find some useful info in the middle of my rambling!

im not the best with prompts, to me that kinda depends on what sort of mc/reader you wanna work with in the story?? an easy one would be vil teaching/helping them out with something, since his tendency to lecture colors the way he interacts with others so much. if were going for romantic fluff, something with a regal aesthetic like taking a walk in a garden or ballroom dancing could be nice too!! maybe teaching reader how to dance?? thats a classic i cant get enough of jsdgkfk

onto characterization... vil is very complex, actually. we all know hes very strict and proud, and willing to go to great lengths for his goals, but translating that into interactions can get tricky, since the way he expresses it isnt nearly as open as it might look like it is?

i think its kinda pertinent to compare him to riddle when thinking about how to write him, since theyre both these "strict with others but mainly themselves" types? but vil differs in that his brand of scolding isnt as affected by emotion, hes not as likely to lose his cool. i wouldnt picture him yelling unless the situation is Really dire, i mean. he cares a lot about his image so he comes off as a lot more poised and sophisticated. they both have this aristocrat flavor but vil is a lot more queenly id say.

when it comes to romance, he wouldnt be very affectionate outwardly, but not in the way that hes shy or awkward, just more subdued. i think he tends towards taking on a very caring sort of role, but still with his nitpicky perfectionist undertone, if that makes sense? hes still prone to scolding, but its a lot more lighthearted, kind of going "what am i going to do with you" in exasperation at his partner when they do something like, show up to class looking messy? but then fixing them up and such. he can be gentle and soft, but wouldnt get overly sweet.

besides that, id recommend you to read up on some vil personal stories to get a good hold of his dialogue and such!! he has a nice and polished speech pattern that i think is a staple of how to portray him. beans day event also gives us some good vil moments! i hope this makes sense jgjkgs if you need anything else feel free to let me know!

lemme tell you about my performance it happened two days ago and we did it at a football game honestly for me it went pretty badly it wasn't a home game and we're not just doing flag work we all have to be in specific positions so doing it on a different field messed me up and my brain just shut off too cause i made so many mistakes that i usually wouldn't OTL its not too terrible though we played at the beginning so not many people were there to see it after that i actually ended up having a nice time!! it felt like a very teen thing to sit in the bleachers of a school game and eat and joke with friends it was a nice moment especially cause wasting my youth is something i end up thinking about often also theres this cute boy 😳😳 hes in band and was reading a webtoon in the bleachers his hair is growing long its reaching the back of his neck,,, i'm excited for the days we practice on a field cause i'll be able to see him then I wouldn't call this crush more like in interest or eyecandy 👁👁

tbh this was a minimal lin mo exposure ep but its ok, im still grateful that he got a few random closeups (which is more than i can say for some of the others) and now that hes safely in top 20 i honestly think my work here is done LOL. there’s not much more lin mo fans can do for him. theyve gotten him onto all the stages and i dont think any amount of work will get him into top 9... and ive said before i dont even really want him in top 9 bc id rather he stay with mr tyger and help them stay relevant bc theyll need his help to do so, especially since jia yi will probably make top 9. 

(from here is where i go into a rant about season 1 vs season 2.... LOL)

lets be honest, ranking 16 is too low for lin mo to make it lol....... last season the only kid who made top 9 who wasnt already in top 9 by ep 10 was yanjun... and yanjun had been on a steep upward trend leading up to the last ep (lin mo went from 17 to 16... theres minimal momentum there lol) and then bi wenjun going from 12 to 10 was the other surprise. xikan going from 18 to 13 was impressive, but he still wasnt one of the contenders for the 9th spot. i think at the end it was bu fan, qian zhenghao, bi wenjun and you zhangjing right? out of those 4, the lowest ranked in ep 10 was bi wenjun at 12..... so going from 16 up to 9 would be really really unlikely, unless lin mo somehow makes an even greater impression on the audience during the mentor collab stage than yanjun did last year.... which i think will be impossible bc literally the entire audience fell in love with yanjun during the “zero” performance in last season’s ep 11 lol it was crazyyyy.... but anyway i think ive reminisced about last season enough this rant.... can you tell i really miss it? honestly ive tried to stay as positive as i could throughout watching qcyn and i gave iqiyi the benefit of the doubt from the beginning that “oh maybe it just doesnt seem as great as the first season bc we havent gotten to know the kids yet, the show’s just started, we’ll learn to love it later” ---- but we’re on ep 10 now and i just.......... i still dont think i got to know the kids as well as i did last season and its not their fault, theyre not any less lovable kids (some of them i really like!!! more than some of the kids from last season!) but this season’s editing is really just disappointing. i really miss last season and it was honestly so much more enjoyable to watch..... i thought about this the other day, if lin mo had been eliminated during the last round, would i still be watching this show? and i thought about it and i honestly think i would... because i really like some of the other kids like mingming, junjie, xixi, jia yi, guan yue, chen sijian, etc. but i really dont think id be as eager to stay up to date with it. ive fallen behind on yaa and dont even look forward to watching fanafan anymore bc lin mo hasnt been on any of those (no, i dont count the yaa ep he literally only got 1 second of screentime in) these side shows are fun, but not as fun as fanafan from last season. they feature the same kids over and over again (literally yuehua trio was the ONLY kids on fanafan 2 weeks ago and then they were 1/3 of the ep last week too??? and hmm how come there are kids who have been on yaa multiple times yet there are also kids who have never been on it at all???? that’s just so unfair.....) without fanafan from last season, would you zhangjing have made it into top 9?? fanafan was the medium thru which he really showed us how hilarious and fun and lovable and sweet and sassy he was (whereas on the actual show he showed us his true, undeniable talent) and im just here wondering, if qcyn’s fanafan had featured ye ziming half as much as they had featured you zhangjing or his partner in crime yanjun (who both ended up making top 9), would he have at least made top 35? or how about chen sijian and wu zelin? or feng junjie?? or su yuhang?? where would they be now? why hasnt lin mo been on fanafan at all??? if given the chance, would people actually be appreciating zhan yu’s hilariously weird and crazy personality that we NEVER got to see?? sigh..........

oh its good that its not the bad type of rain, a light sprinkling can be relaxing sometimes. aww thx darl, the concern is appreciated but it went pretty well and i managed not to cough too much on stage or kill myself trying to run around to the other side of the stage in the pouring rain so thats good! oooh tea buddies! my dogs a labradoodle, but shes a bit more of a feral poodle lol not much labrador in her at all, unless its her relentless urge to hunt down every bird that has ever walked this earth smh :((( hopefully they can come back on soon, does uni have dances?

- all the cryptic messaging we thought the show put in, I forgot how much we read into things, trying to predict what would happen, theories flying everywhere, idk maybe it was a detriment to the show in the end
