the thing abt early timkon (yj-era) is that they never disliked each other. they liked each other so much! it's "i like this guy i think he's overall competent and a good asset to my team and he's nice to be around most of the time. the thing that makes amy Work as a character to me is that her story is really absurdly horrific from the outset. the doctor makes one mistake completely unthinking and suddenly this little girl’s entire life is defined and lashed to him. it sort of justifies the turn into “doctor as trickster god” that eleven gets because he really does have that much power over people right. And it’s not his fault and he feels guilty but he’s trapped this woman in his orbit and she gets her memories zapped 600 billion times has schrodingers cat parents husband erased from existence gets turned into a flesh monster forced to give birth gets her baby stolen grows up in a haunted house with an evil alien lives a bunch of alternate parallel lives that never happened it’s so uncanny and wretched and strange and is just sort of left to sit it’s not addressed And she loves him fixates on him lives for him resurrects him. he sort of created her right and she created him. he STOLE her CHILDHOOD!!!!!! he stole this girl without even thinking about it. you can see it on his face sometimes when he talks to her but only sometimes.

gonna literally throw virtual knives at the next person who says 34 & 16 need to step up in playoffs as if half the problem in previous years wasn’t management not surrounding them with complimentary players. like there is only so much two players can do. a team wins a cup, not individual players. like there’s a reason people you wouldn’t assume have a cup, have a cup, and that’s because they were part of a team that was built to support the name players.

i don’t need flashy deadline adds because a lot of the time it ruins team chemistry and things fall apart after a round. i just want a team that will go to war for each other, a team where people know what role they’re there to play and do it well, a team that has depth players they can call on when injury happens, because those are the kind of teams that win cups.

like yeah some of the greatest players have cups. but so do a bunch of guys you’ve probably never heard of. because it takes a whole team.
