Jojo I've been listening to the Kingdom hearts 1 title screen music non-stop because a friend of mine told me that It was good and now I actually want to start playing the entire series like you don't understand. The song just gives off a calming atmosphere and I'm legitimately curious on where to start.
I know that you Played Kingdom hearts before because I see you mention it on your blog multiple times. And I was wondering where you first started on the Kingdom hearts series.
(I know Kirby is your main priority at the moment but I couldn't resist asking this question, also FNAF rules ngl)
OHOHOHO. OHHHHH. These are floodgates I have yet to open on this Tumblr but I am a huge, HUGE Kingdom Hearts fan. I am not currently in a Kingdom Hearts phase (since it’s been a few years since we’ve gotten anything new). But when I am, I am utterly consumed hahaha. It was the first game series I was a truly a fan of. Years and years before I learned about Kirby.
Kingdom Hearts music is INCREDIBLE and I could talk forever about it. I’ve been to three of their World Tour concerts when they came to the US. The OST albums on Spotify consumed my top statistics this year :P with every new game, I always quietly sit and listen to the new version of Dearly Beloved on the main menu for a while before I begin as a personal sentimental tradition. :’)
I started playing Kingdom Hearts almost at the very beginning. I followed the series across all the different platforms it released on over the years. Thankfully it’s easier than ever to play now! If you’re interested, I recommend getting your hands on the “All-In-One Package” for the PlayStation or PC- whatever you happen to have (however I hear the switch version is extremely flawed. I don’t have it but maybe be careful with that one).
Some people would recommend playing them in chronological story order since it can be quite a wild ride. You can look up the chronological order out there. But my personal recommendation is to play the games in the order they released so you get the same experience as the people who followed the series from the beginning like me hehehe. But do whatever you’d like! I love this series very very much, through all of its triumphs, and even for its flaws and the absolutely wild story it has,
…because where else can you have a frame with a realistic looking Orlando Bloom as Will Turner Pirates of the Caribbean, with a cartoonishly bright Goofy staring blankly in the background? Or Yao from Mulan socking Donald Duck in the face?! I love it I love it I love it anyone can talk to me about Kingdom Hearts whenever they want!!
Here’s a condensed version of how I got into the game. Just for fun. :)
Tumblr media
Free games?! I already loved my PS1. Now could I pass this opportunity up?! Thanks EJ, for changing my life with your generosity. If you ever see this, hope you’re well. You rock.
Anyway- The life-changing part of the game happened to me almost immediately lol. Like in the opening of the game and the tutorial section haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was instantly hooked. It’s been a huge positive influence in my life. 20 years later, I still remember the emotions I had playing each of the games for the first time. I’ve probably played KH2 a few dozen times, just on the PS2! I can’t wait to see where the next game takes us- but if there’s one thing you have to be as a Kingdom Hearts fan…. Is patient! xD
TLDR: I love Kingdom Hearts and I hope you do too.

Touching Up Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory
So... Not really much in regards to gameplay, but while Melody of Memory has been mostly positively received, the general consensus seems to be that they could’ve “left it in the oven” for a bit longer and it PROBABLY would’ve done the game a favor. Having watched multiple LP’s, and having put the game on my wishlist, I know that there are a couple of missing songs.
Regardless, I’ll be dividing this up into different sections, based off of how the World Map was arranged.
In General
Upon making a new game, after the brief “Simple and Clean” Memory Dive sample, a cutscene would play, where we see Kairi and the researchers discussing the whole “put Kairi into a coma so she can explore memories related to Sora” plan. Outside of that, the opening of the game would play like normal.
Also, the Gummi Ship in World Tour MIGHT get replaced with a gliding KH3!Kairi to further visualize that she’s the one sifting through all these memories.
Finally, “Boss Battles” would all have a gauge similar to the one from “Ursula’s Revenge”, which depletes with every note you hit, dealing more damage the higher your strength and the better your timing. Depleting it before the song ends would results in a Rhythm Point bonus.
Additionally, much like the Boss Battle music stages from the REAL game, you’d get a Field Battle version of any Boss Battles upon beating the bosses.
Also, in regards to Team Days: Roxas would wield Two Become One while Xion would wield Oathkeeper.
Kingdom Hearts I Worlds
All I’d add here are three Music Stages divided up between two worlds.
Halfway through KH1′s Disney Worlds would be the Hundred Acre Wood, with two Memory Dives: “Winnie the Pooh” and “Bounce-o-Rama”.
Right next to Hollow Bastion, the End of the World, and the “Squirming Evil” Darkened World would be a Darkened World would be a Darkened World corresponding to “Night on the Bare Mountain” titled “Melody of the Mountain”.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Worlds
Another instance of Destiny Islands would appear in the COM worlds, with only one Music Stage: the re:COM version of Destiny Islands’ Overworld Theme.
Additionally, “Lord of the Castle” would be a Boss Battle Music Stage. Marluxia’s “super move” would be his “Scythe Wheel” attack.
Kingdom Hearts II Worlds
... I mean, MAYBE Port Royale would be here? I can’t really think of anything else...
Kingdom Hearts: 358 Days Over 2 Worlds
Once again, only two changes: A new world, and a boss battle.
The new world would, in this case, be the World That Never Was itself, with it’s two tracks from Days: “Mystic Moon” and “Critical Drive”. Also, in regards to aesthetics, it would be the KH2 version of the World That Never Was, but in reverse to reference Roxas’ escape from the castle. It would be located before “Vector to the Heavens”.
Finally “Another Side (Battle Version)” would be a Boss Battle Music Stage. Riku’s “Special Attack” would be Dark Aura. Also, just like in Days, he’d wield Oblivion.
Kingdom Hearts coded Worlds
Some of the enemies would be replaced by Blox Bugs, and all of the Giga Shadows would be replaced by Metal Bugs.
That’s it.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Worlds
“Dismiss” would be a Terra-Xehanort battle in Radiant Garden. Terranort’s “Special Attack” would be his “Rock Storm” attack (i.e. the attack from his Keyblade Graveyard battle where he summons rocks from the ground and launches them at the Lingering Will). Mostly because I don’t want him to rehash Ansem’s attack.
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance Worlds
The Symphony of Sorcery would be one of the Disney Worlds, but it’s two tracks would be Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral” Op. 68 and The Nutcracker Suite Op. 71 as Field Battle music stages, with the “All Clear” reward being “L’Apprenti Sorcier” Field Battle MS Material that can be used to synthesize a Field Battle Music Stage. Both Music Stages would use the appropriate environments from DDD.
Additionally “L’Impeto Oscuro” would be a Young Xehanort battle, with his “Special Attack” being his “Zero Shot”, but with multiple volleys of the dark projectiles.
Additionally “The Eye of Darkness” would be an Armored Ventus Nightmare battle, with his “Special Attack” being the attack where he turns the background white.
Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep ~a fragmentary passage~ Worlds
... Keep scrolling.
Kingdom Hearts III Worlds
This is where the most comprehensive changes will be.
First of all, Olympus would be present with TWO Music Stages: “Mt. Olympus” and “Heroes Fanfare”.
There’d be a Darkened World corresponding to “Titanic Clash“.
Secondly, the “Secret Forest” would be a world you’d have to clear to access the bulk of the KH3 worlds, with one track: “Dearly Beloved ~The Secret Forest~” as a Memory Dive Music Stage.
Finally, each of the Disney Worlds would have two Field Battle Stages.
Toy Box would have “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Toy Box Jam”, plus a Darkened World based off of “Skyward Strike”.
The “fairy tale kingdom” who’s name was not spoken aloud in the English version would have “Happy Hair Day” and “Swinging Free”.
Monstropolis would have “Monstropolis Now” and “Monster Smash”.
Arendelle would have “Frozen Wonderland” and “Miracle on Ice”, with “Let it Go” Memory Dive MS Materials as the “All Clear Bonus”. “Anger Unchained” would be attached to an Arendell-themed Darkened World, with THAT being where you’d get Arendell’s All Clear Bonus from canon.
San Fransokyo would have “AR: Augmented Rhythm” and “Robot Overdrive” with “Eye of the Storm” being a Darkened World.
“Aqua (Dark Dive)” would be included as a Boss Battle music stage you have to clear to access the Keyblade Graveyard. Anti-Aqua’s “Special Attack” would be her take on the “Spellweaver” Style Change.
The Keyblade Graveyard would be unchanged, but “Hearts as One” and “Dawn of Hope” would be Darkened Worlds.
Scala ad Caelum would be a world with “Scala ad Caelum” and “Edge of Existence” as its Field Battle Music Stages.
Melody of Memory’s End
You’d actually be prompted to select a difficulty as soon as you enter.
Additionally, it would actually be possible to FAIL the first two Music Stages if you run out of HP. However, each Music Stage would serve as a checkpoint.
“Stranded Beyond” would be a Field Battle Music Stage, with Kairi replacing you’re currently equipped Team’s Leader as a “Guest Character”. Her abilities, triggered by Ability Crystals, would be “Seven Wishes” for melee, and “Heart of a Princess” for magic. Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters would stand in her way.
“Kairi III” would play more or less the same.
The Master Xehanort battle is where things are shaken up a bit. Instead of Kairi wearing herself out and needing Sora to save her, when Xehanort tries to strike her with her Keyblade, Kairi would use her “Light Barrier” to protect herself, then the “Counterblast” to knock Xehanort away and disarm him, before flying right at Xehanort, forcing him to summon his Keyblade to parry her, at which he’d do that thing swordsmen do in anime where they launch their opponents. This is pretty much the point where the Boss Battle begins, a duel between Kairi and Xehanort. Other than that, it plays like canon.
From there, the ending basically plays out the same, except Kairi stays behind because she needs to regain her strength from sleeping for a whole year.
All three of the Music Stages from the Final World would be unlocked upon clearing it.
Finally: instead of “Difficulty Master Xehanort was defeated” you’d get “Difficulty Final World was cleared”.
Playing them in Track Select with Guest Characters turned off would result in the Team Leader taking Kairi’s place, allowing anyone to 1v1 Xehanort or glide over the Final World alone.
One-Winged Angel, Rage Awakened, and The Other Promise
All three would be optional bonus bosses.
Sephiroth’s “Special Attack” would be Supernova.
The Lingering Will’s “Special Attack” would be its Keyblade Glider Attack.
Roxas’ Special Attack would be the one where he turns the background into the twilit sky and surrounds himself with a barrier of thirteen beams of light to launch a barrage of light attacks from within.
Everything Else
Face My Fears Memory Dive.
Maybe Memory Dives and Boss Battles in VS Mode.
Co-op Memory Dives?

The Symphony of Sorcery
The dark musical score possessing Mickey can be seen as being controlled by fear or doubt, and Spellican is the source of it. In order to face him, the source of the fear, the darkness first has to be dispelled. To do that, Sora needs a Sound Idea, and its a power that can dispel any darkness. Mickey tells Riku that force won't stop the darkness, but a Sound Idea will.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An "Idea" is a thought or concept, actually or potentially present to consciousness. When something is "Sound", it is free from flaw or fallacy, based on knowledge and experience, is logically valid, and has true premise.
When Sora tries his Sound Idea, they find one isn't enough. Sora is unconcerned, and knows Riku will come through, which he does. They needed 2 Sound Ideas because this "power that dispels any darkness" is love, and that takes a connection between 2 hearts.
Sora and Riku both had a Sound Idea. They traversed beautiful worlds to retrieve them. These worlds however, were fraught with monsters (fear, doubt, and lies), though not as powerful as the "big one". They each considered something that was logical and had true premise. Something that can dispel any darkness. These Sound Ideas then came together and created a "powerful harmony".
The "Sound Idea" that both Sora and Riku had, was that they just might really, truly, be in love with each other. And yes, those two separate ideas they had are in fact so sound, that they literally created music together. Dearly Beloved.
When Riku retrieves his sound idea, he places his hand on his heart and gasps. He then falls into darkness, landing in front of YMX.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is mentioned here because, Riku originally had his Sound Idea in KH1, which was when he became jealous of Kairi, which led to his fall to darkness.
Sora's boss is Spellican, who can be seen as his confusion over his feelings for Kairi, what is obscuring his truth. That's why Riku instead fights Chernobog, representing his own darkness.
Sora continually refers to Mickey as "Your Majesty", forgetting this is a past time where they haven't yet met. Riku doesn't have this issue, having been calling Mickey by his name for a while because of their closeness, which is pointed out by Mickey's continual remarks on their familiarity, and his hopes to one day be part of the team. Riku and Mickey have a strong bond, as strong as Sora's is to Donald and Goofy. And this past, dream version of Mickey can still feel their experiences in his heart.
The present Mickey knows how deeply Riku and Sora are connected, how much they truly care for each other, and Mickey knew exactly who they were talking about in the RoD in 2.9. And this past Mickey knows too, even though he just met them.
Tumblr media
He hears the way Riku talks about Sora, and then tells him blatantly that it's because Riku loves Sora so much that Sora was able to enjoy the music at all. Without Riku the music wouldn't exist. To say their "hearts are always in tune" and that they are each "holding onto a little part of the other" [this part is quite literal as well I think] is to say that they inherently understand each other, they match each other. He's basically telling Riku that they're soul mates. They are counterpoint to each other.
Tumblr media
[Counterpoint's Japanese name is Fantasy Notes, but I still believe this is relevant or its English name would be more similar. Perhaps this was a clue specifically aimed at the Western audience but idk.]
Counterpoint - the combination of two or more independent melodies into a single harmonic texture in which each retains its linear character.
Dearly Beloved is a counterpoint. It contains two distinct melodies composed out of identical chord structures, allowing them to be layered on top of each other.
The KH1 version of Dearly Beloved contained only the primary melody. Every game after has contained the secondary melody as well. Riku can be seen as the primary melody. That's why the KH1 version only contained the primary melody, because only Riku had faced his romantic feelings for Sora. Sora was suppressing his. They resurfaced in him when he closed the Door to Darkness in Riku's face at the end of KH1. Sora is the secondary melody.
Sora's score is pink. Riku's is blue. The colours of dawn. The beginning of the KH3 intro is the dawn sky.
Tumblr media
"I cant go back to being the liar I used to be. Our rings shall be the colour of the sunrise. Lay your heartbeat on top of mine and let's dance. Let's celebrate the fact that we live in this moment."
"Kiss me once, kiss me twice, give me you. Let's listen to the sound of the sunrise, side by side. Let's vow to live our lives together."
Tumblr media
"Its so damn annoying that I want to fall asleep clinging to you every day."
"Under the beautiful blue sky, we would keep sleeping..."
Nomura said Passion is specifically about "Sora and Riku's reunion". He told Utada Hikaru that he wanted it to be like a "Hikari 2". Therefore, Hikari is also about Riku and Sora. All of the theme songs are, including Dearly Beloved, the theme of the series.
The Combined Keyblade has only appeared in The World That Never Was in DDD (the dream), and in the Dark World in KH3. Sora and Riku appear to only be able use it in sleep/darkness. If they could use it in the Realm of Light, I imagine they would be using it all the time. This is intentional, because it's in the darkness that Sora and Riku's connection is the strongest. Because that's where they face their fears, shining light on the darkness. Riku knew he had to face Ansem, his darkness, or he would keep coming back. He had to shine light on him, and what he represented. It's not about changing the darkness into light. The darkness is still darkness, it just doesn't control you. When Riku says "consume the darkness, return it to light", he means, see it for what it is, and don't fight it. Accept it as a part of you. This is how he "trapped darkness in his heart", making him immune to it's influence. It happened when he turned into Ansem, which was when he looked directly at his darkness, and it changed him. He returned to his true form after protecting the others in KH2, after staring directly into the light. Once he realized all he cared about was Sora.
The combined keyblade only manifests in darkness because it represents the truth within the darkness, that Sora and Riku are each other's light. Accepting the "dark power in their hearts", their secret deep feelings they were once ashamed of, which led to a sometimes painful journey. A heart is pain, but pain is being human. This is darkness born from love. Why the combined keyblade has both a light side, and a dark side.
Darkness IS the heart's true nature. It's what we love, what we care about, what we connect with, that gives the heart it's light.
Dearly Beloved basically means, something very treasured or important. It's also something said by the officiate at the start of a wedding. A wedding of sorts is clearly what the original lyrics to Chikai convey.
"Today is the perfect day for an unprecedented vow, our vow. We don't need beautiful flowers or witnesses. Let's wear rings of the same colour."
When something is gotten "dearly", it has been achieved through great hardship.
This is why I think the combined keyblade's name is Dearly Beloved. It's the music their hearts make together manifested as a keyblade, and it cuts through any darkness. Their heart and soul's union.

Is it just me or does the kh3 dearly beloved layer up all the versions from other games? Cuz that's really cool
I flippin love KH music asks; these are always so funHMM, I never really thought about it; let’s see! Here are a few of the things that I think make each DB unique--KH1: the delayed piano is unique to this versionCoM: addition of Always on my MindKH2: self-contained, oboe leading Always on my MindDays: flute focus, flute leading Always on my Mind0.2 & BBS: self-contained, violin focus Coded: harp focus, use of pizz, oboe leading Always on my MindDDD: self-contained, use of pizz, +1 waltzX: choir, bouncy BC: organUX: relentless piano harmony, picardy cadential movementKH3: self-contained, piano focus, harmonic movement restricted to the Cmajor for a huge portion of the tuneComparing the previous iterations to the KH3 one, the KH3 version seems to me that it’s pretty unique among all the iterations we’ve been given. Although it shares some similarities to a few elements from the UX and KH2 versions, it has a style in the arrangement and instrumentation that’s more similar to the orchestrations from the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra concert with its piano concerto-y focus to really let Benyamin Nuss (I assume) demonstrate his abilities! Harmonically, it’s neat that KH3 sits on a C major for a while to build up the eventual parallel modulation (CMaj->Cm) to Ab at just under a minute in. It’s also really unique that she changes the actual Dearly Beloved melody to fit within this new harmonic context in a way that other versions haven’t done before (using Es instead of Ebs, phrase ending on a G instead of a Bb). There are also some references to the style of the Dearly Beloved Concert Paraphrase from the Kingdom Hearts Piano Collection--namely those falling power chords and the triplet rises that can also be heard in Sinister Sundown from the same piano collections. This version’s so hopeful and happy in a new way because of Shimomura’s unique use of the C as the tonic for so many of the resolutions in this version, and it’s wonderful

Okay so I have finally made it to a world selection screen in KH3. I'll try to do a quick, spoiler free review. Tldr? It's good.
So, gameplay so far? Honestly there's a bit of awkward jankiness that 2, BBS, and 3D didn't have. Your running sometimes feels locked onto a set path, if that makes sense. That being said, everything is much faster and combat is always high paced and fun with new special moves at your disposal constantly unveiling itself. It certainly isnt a cakewalk, but the bite is satisfying. You will definitely be pleasantly surprised at some points.
Graphics? Way better than I thought it would be. There's a bit of awkwardness in the transition to newer graphics, but ultimately it works out. Gone are the 2d mouth flaps and doll like expressions, in are higher res talking animations. It does lose a tiny bit of its charm the series has made for itself with its older style, but I'm satisfied with it. The redesigns for Sora and Riku are very top notch, but I think I favor Riku's Noctus vibe.
Don't even bother asking with story because I'm still only beginning and I'm already lost again, lol. At the least, things are coming into play and mysteries are kind of coming together already.
As far as anything else, I treasure Kairi and Lea's friendship. Its awkward but charming at the same time. Lea is such a good, good boy. Actually I really dig most of the characters so far. Everyone has this really supportive vibe that I dig.
Anyway, a decent start. Wasn't a fan of having to wait for a 2 gig day 1 patch that took me 2 hours to download on my shitty internet, but i think it's worth it.
Oh, and the music? Dearly Beloved, I cried at the menu music. THE MENU MUSIC. Like. There's a certain melancholy about the older versions. This one feels... complete. The climax, so to speak.
Anyway, it's still under kh2 to me so far (come on dual wielding was too cool) but we still have a whole ass game to play through. If you're curious about anything spoiler related, just inbox me and I can see if I can answer privately.

Melody of Memory Theory: World Tour
So... Here’s my theory about what the World Tour mode will bring to the table.
Please note that I noticed some details which contradicted my “Rhythmia” theory in the REVEAL TRAILER, but I’ll explain my reasoning under the cut.
Basically, while I still think the “film strips” are actually corresponding to the recaps rather than story progress, I still think that progressing through the story will be connected to a collectible, namely, the stars.
Why? Two reasons:
We actually saw a snippet of a cutscene where Riku and Kairi talk to a bunch of stars in the trailers.
The trailers showed that the stars have a “target amount” in the tally whereas what I thought was Rhythmia does not. So you will actually have to get good at Rhythm games to progress, sorry to say.
Anyway, I still think the game will open when Kairi is first put into a coma, but after a quick tutorial, she’ll happen upon the Nameless Star, the two will chat for a bit, and then the Nameless Star will say something that’ll cause Kairi to wake up, just in time for Riku to arrive from the Limit Cut episode to explain the Fairy Godmother’s idea, at which point they’ll put Kairi back into a coma, and Riku will use the Power of Waking to dive into her dreams to join her down a road of melodies and memories.
At this point, the player will be taken to the Main Menu, but only “World Tour” and “Config” will be unlocked. Going to World Tour will trigger the next cutscene.
The cutscene will depict Riku and Kairi arriving in the Final World via a portal. Kairi will explain that she spoke with a star in her dream, just in time for Chirithy to pop in. Chirithy will explain that they had dropped by the Mysterious Tower to give everyone a status update, only to be told that Riku was at Radiant Garden, only to then be told that Riku was inside Kairi’s dream. They’ll catch each other up, comparing notes, and then Chirithy will warn Riku and Kairi that remaining in the Final World for too long is dangerous, before suggesting the memory and melody plan, stating that they’ll get in touch with Naminé to get her help in providing them a road of memories to follow to the stars, suggesting that they use the melodies contained within to bring them together. Chirithy leaves to get Naminé‘s help, and Riku and Kairi depart.
Melody of Memory will then follow the path of the Kingdom Hearts series, going through the songs of each game in the order they were featured.
Most of the songs will be bunched together by game, but the songs of X, UX, 0.2, KH1FM, KH2FM, BBSFM, and Back Cover will be locked behind doors that branch off at points relevant to the world those songs are attached to (i.e. World of Darkness I being right next to Destiny Islands). However, these “Bonus Tracks” require stars of a specific color to open the doors blocking them from the rest of the game. Meanwhile, the game will follow the plot of the Xehanort Saga by release order, going as follows:
KH1->COM->KH2->Days->BBS->coded->DDD->KH3->re:Mind
However, crossing over from one game to the next will require collecting enough TOTAL stars in order to open the doors separating them. Opening these doors will trigger cutscenes that forward the game’s story and flesh out Kairi’s backstory.
However, there will be only ONE re:Mind Track: Nachtflügel (aka, Yozora’s boss theme), and it will serve as the final boss. The cutscene that plays after opening its door will have Kairi and Riku separated as Kairi once again comes face to face with the Nameless Star. This time the conversation isn’t quite as friendly, as the Nameless Star reveals that she was watching Kairi’s entire journey, and found herself disgusted with how she associated herself with so many creatures of the dark (Sora, Riku, Chirithy, Roxas, Naminé, etc) without destroying them. Kairi takes offense to that and asks the Nameless Star who she really is. The Nameless Star then states the following:
“My name was stolen from me, but I used to go by ‘Sora’.”
Before Kairi can question what that means, the Final World will shift into Shibuya the same way it did in re:Mind’s Secret Episode, and the Nameless Star will take on the form of the woman from the “Verum Rex” trailer, and summon a weapon similar to the one Yozora used, before stating that she needs to claim Kairi’s light in order to escape from this prison and save the world from that “fake Sora”. When Kairi tries to attack her, the Nameless Star/”Sora” will steal Destiny’s Embrace with her weapon (the same way Yozora steals the Keyblade in his boss fight), and then use it to Crystalize Kairi. Except when she tries to use her stolen Keyblade to take the light from Kairi’s heart, Kairi shatters, splitting into three lights. The lights will switch between the images of each of the playable trios, before the Nameless Star declares that it doesn’t matter what form the light takes, she will claim it.
Nachtflügel will serve as a Boss Music Stage, with "Princess Sora” as the boss. The world will be Shibuya. Once the player has cleared the stage, the game’s ending will play.
The three lights will merge back into Kairi, who’ll reclaim her Keyblade as Princess Sora crystallizes, wondering out loud how her plan could’ve failed so spectacularly, before Kairi points out that she had used the power of the bonds she had forged with her friends to safeguard her light, a force her Sora would’ve realized was unbreakable. Princess Sora will simply laugh cynically before the crystals completely overtake her, claiming that suspicion and doubt will easily sever those bonds, just as it had done time and again in the past. Shortly thereafter, she’ll crystallize in the same pose Sora did in the Secret Episode’s bad ending, and Shibuya will turn into the Dive to the Heart, with a door appearing behind Kairi.
As soon as Kairi passes through the door, she’s back in the Final World, with the hooded figure from the trailer waiting for her. The two of them have some pre-battle banter, he lowers his hood, Kairi attacks him, and then the credits role. As soon as the credits are over, we’ll get Sora’s one and only scene in the entire game, before we see the familiar words.
An Oath to Return Kingdom Hearts
Then we’ll get the results screen for Nachtflügel, except “Dearly Beloved” will play instead of “Crossing the Finish Line“, to emulate the “Battle Report” from a traditional game.
...
Also, what I thought was Rhythmia is probably just the currency. And each world will probably have at least two tracks, one corresponding to its overworld theme, the other to its battle theme, with “Dark Holes” like “Wave of Darkness I” and “Night of Fate” filling in for everything else. Worlds that feature in multiple games may have future iterations with different tracks (i.e., Destiny Islands in COM having the COM version of “Destiny Islands” play). Boss battles will probably, usually, fall under “Dark Holes” like we saw in the trailers.
That’s... About it for this theory. From this point on I’ll be covering the other game modes we saw on the Main Menu (I’ll be discussing tutorial theories when we get to config) and we’ll see how off-base I was when the game comes out in the near future.
...
We’re in the endgame now folks.
