The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky shows His handiwork.
Day to day they speak,
night to night they reveal knowledge.
There is no speech, no words,
where their voice goes unheard.
Their voice has gone out to all the earth
and their words to the end of the world.

So this post was originally something entirely different for an entirely different fandom but I'm rewriting it now as what I really want to talking about.
It's a fucking. WALTZ.
The Soriku side of the fandom has picked this song to bits, having the game featuring the two main characters who have one of the strongest bonds in the series and having their theme for the game where they're together be a waltz is just a perfect hint towards their possible romantic relationship together.
Frankly, I think that's just beautiful, and if we ever get another kh game where we play both Riku and Sora, I'd love to see the DB call back to this song in some way. I also like how it's most magical, dreamlike. It fits DREAM drop distance.
I dunno, I love this song so much. It's definitely not my favorite Dearly Beloved (save me days/com/mom/kh2 db... save me) but it's up there. Then again ranking the Dearly Beloveds is a task no one should even try to do because they're all just so damn good. Yoko please come back for kh4, DBs aren't the same without you.
For the -1 person curious what the original post was gonna look like, it was gonna be something like "oh yeah these two fictional relationships soirta mirror each other in how they play out, one starting with hatred and the other ending with it" and how this is the db that would be on my playlist for them because I love the idea of the two dancing no idea why but just gahhhh them <3
Now that I think about it, I should rank the DBs, just to see how much I can screw that list up and have it all change in a day max.

The Bad ending after the Yozora fight is interesting since a part of Dearly Beloved is silent...
How much more proof do people need to say Dearly Beloved is the theme of Sora and Riku whatever you want to believe it is romantic or platonic?
Back in Dream Drop Distance it was established Dearly Beloved was the song that plays when their hearts are in tune and connected.
Each of them haves a distinguished separate part of the song, however during the bad end of the Yozora fight, Sora's part is silent and only Riku's part is playing.
Sora's part being silent in the bad "non canon" ending shows further proof showing that Dearly beloved is the tune of two people, one being Sora and the other is Riku if for some reason you missed that in DDD
The bad ending even have the quote that Yozora says that Sora once also said silent in this version. I've been having these weird thoughts lately like is any of this for real or not?
In the bad non canon ending Yozora only says this, Sora is silent.
Now in the good ending, you can hear both parts of dearly beloved because he lives and he also says the opening line from KH1 along with Yozora.
Though I have my own theory about that line that has to also do with the mobile games... regarding the reality Sora is from not being real reality and is just part of data which is why they can easily travel through data.
And the real world— the world the dandelions escaped from is Quadratum where all magic basically faded from the area. It's also why people can easily come back to life. However this theory it's probably easily disproven since Strelitzia is also there.

There in the ground, His body lay
Light of the world, by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave, He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Erm... for very late White Day
When I read fics a lot of people write how Near plays with Mello's hair as twirling the strands same way he does with his own hair. I want to do something different for them: shaping the strands to form hearts and it fits with Valentine's Day or White Day a lot! You already know where I picked up the reference, but I suppose that Mello's hair is not long enough to form a proper heart like Kendall's <3
Sorry for the terrible angle! I tried!

Can I just go off about this for a minute? Like, it cuts me to my core how @projectdestati incorporates character themes into relevant songs. This is my favorite so much because it's so subtle, but fits so perfectly.
This version of Treasured Memories solemnly incorporates Rikus theme in a way that is just so beautiful and perfect that it might outshine Rikus theme as a stand alone peice because if how much more weight it carries in the context of Treasured Memories.
It works because Treasured Memories is meant to play when Sora is reflecting on someone he misses- we see that mostly when he thinks of Riku.
We also know that Riku is a deep comfort and grounding presence in Soras life-- a constant in his most precious memories of childhood. We see this in Dream Drop where memories with him and Riku are featured most prominently in the Dive to Sora's sleeping heart.
Green Requiem has a phenomenal series on YouTube discussing the nuances of the KH Music, but I'd really love to do a mini series in the vein of @violethowler's Constructing Kingdoms series mixed with @tennelleflowers 's speculative video essays and @nikutsuneart 's Sleeping Realm theories.
I wonder how much foreshadowing we can uncover from the musically score alone... My music theory is shit, but I feel like there is a lot of hidden evidence to be uncovered and speculated upon regarding the series.
