I’m staying on here. At least until things become truly irredeemable and irreparable and hopeless.

I’m just… too tired to try and migrate to another social media platform right now. I’ve never even heard of most of these new sites. How many people would I even be able to reach with my work there? A lot of them are invite only. How does one even get in if they don’t have those connections? What about the wonderful people I’ve met on here? I’d hate to think I wouldn’t be able to find them again in a different site.

And call me nostalgic. But I’ve been on here for so long, I can’t let go unless there’s nothing left to grab onto.

Maybe it’s naive of me to believe that this site will stay true to its word when we revoke consent for AI to steal our art and writing. But it’s all I have in me right now. It feels like I just put roots down here and now the whole forest is being threatened with destruction.

I’m just…. tired.

So I’ll keep trying to light up this little corner I have here as best as I can.

So...don't be mad guys but...new idea for new OCs... It combines my need to write a unicorn story and having a guy inspired by Crispin Glover so... working idea is unicorn taking on a human disguise to seek revenge against the royals and hunters of a kingdom (that's kind of a mix of medieval and Tudor era) that has been hunting unicorns to extinction in order to use their bodies, blood, horns, etc. for both alchemical and medicinal uses, and along the way she runs into a knight/seasoned unicorn hunter who previously trapped her years ago, an encounter leaving her leg maimed and him missing an eye. So...uh...yeah...self indulgent enemies to lovers historical-inspired dark fantasy with a romance between a unicorn-in-hiding and a unicorn hunter heehee i just came up with this idea today while stuck in a car for hours and im so excited to explore it more... no in depth character work, yet, just vibes, FC ideas, etc. Vibes are like this:

And also there is a talking badger character who happens to be a witch that makes the unicorn human

My local Japanese store had the most recent edition of the JoJo magazine, so I bought it soley for this segment about Jotaro’s relationship with the crusaders. The two paragraphs on the bottom explain how Jotaro and Kakyoin have such deep respect for one another, and even mentions how Kakyoin is one of the only people to bring a smile to Jotaro’s face. 🥲

Another thing that’s mentioned that I originally wanted to make a separate post about was how Jotaro was the only one of the crusaders to hear Kakyoin calling out for them upon his return from the hospital.

One might say it’s because Star Platinum is a precision based stand, so of course that would mean he also has excellent hearing. Well, yes, that’s true, but the magazine says it’s because he’s Jotaro’s ‘Best Partner’ and that they have a bond ‘that goes beyond reason’, which is also just as correct (I mean, Jotaro didn’t have a reason as to why he risked his own life to save Kakyoin’s ffs). After all, Jotaro is the only one who was willing to sit and listen to Kakyoin’s fun facts, so of course Jotaro would be the only one to hear Kak’s voice. And Kakyoin will sometimes even speak up for both of them, he’s aware that Jotaro isn’t a talker and prefers to convey his feelings through actions.

Kudos to the author of this article btw, they even pointed out how Kakyoin is so attentive to Jotaro’s opinions on anything. In this panel, Kakyoin exclaims something along the lines of “Let’s hear your opinion, Jotaro!” (I’m too lazy to look up the official translated version, lol).

Kak knows Jotaro so well to the point that they no longer need the words to communicate with each other. They barely needed to say anything when they reunited too!

And this beautiful relationship was formed all because Jotaro was the first person in Kakyoin’s life to show him genuine kindness and dedicate his time to listening and understanding him, and vice versa.

Uhh, I don’t know where exactly I wanted to go with this ramble. I just wanted to share some stuff that I found interesting and adorable from this page of the JoJo Magazine. xD

I’ve been slowly feeling better about art and life and such lately. Thank goodness. It’s not perfect but it’s better which already means a lot :)

So imagine my surprise when I glance at the calendar and realize that the 2-year anniversary of the Forgotten Land Roleswap is coming up quickly!!! The anniversary of the Roleswap comic is August 24th, but the day I created and posted the Roleswap AU on the Bird App is April 12, 2022!! And that’s when I wanna celebrate with something cool that I still need to come up with ahhhh….! Check out the original tweet below! At that time I had no idea I would spend more than an hour on this idea let alone YEARS hehehehe!!

In the meantime, it’s been nice to reflect on how far this has all come, and how much more is coming in the future!! :’) I’m even happier with the way I draw the characters in the past two years…! Check out the evolution since 2022 below!

THE MONSTER AND THE BUTTERFLY to be deleted SUNDAY, JAN. 14.

Hey peeps n' poops!! so this has been a long-time coming but i thought i'd make a more 'formal' announcement about it.

I've been posting drafts of my victorian gothic romance novel 'the monster and the butterfly' on ao3 and Tapas, and as I start working towards (most likely self) publishing, I will be deleting it from both websites on SUNDAY JANUARY 14TH.

But yeah!! I am moving forward in publishing this novel (under the potential new title of 'GHOSTS PLAGUE THESE HALLS'), and am now working on Draft III and will be looking for beta readers come springtime!^^

I'm sorry it's such short notice but the longer I have it posted freely online the more paranoid I get about it being 'stolen', and I've just come to feel general discomfort sharing drafts of stories freely in online spaces. I hope y'all understand!

Something I've noticed is that no matter what fandom or community we are in—black people will always always have to make a safe space for ourselves. Every single fandom I was in there were always black people being treated badly by white people and nonblacks and everytime we spoke on it we are told that we are either making it up or causing problems/discourse.

Even in the LGBTQ+ community where niggas preach about being sooo accepting we have to make *our own flags and spaces because we get talked over and forgotten so damn much. You look up queer related stuff and white people show up first (try the trans selfie tag or look up androgynous stuff on pinterest.) You look up queer shows and it's only white people with a black side character or a white person x a black person like we can't exist on our own. White queers calling black people cops for being uncomfortable with certain labels.

Even with fictional black characters they get the same treatment. Marina from Splatoon 2 and Hobie Brown from Spiderman both are victims of nonblack people hypersexualizing them and masculinizing them. Xinyan from Genshin Impact is a complete and utter stereotype of black people—being seen as aggressive and mean and a literal theft. Don't get me started on how yall whitewash the fuck outta them. It's either sexualize them, whitewash them or forget about them completely.

For some reason white people are seen as more aesthetically pleasing compared to Black people and when we look up aesthetics we literally have to type in "black person x aesthetic" or afro punk or afro goth despite us being the creators of some of these aesthetics. Same with cosplaying, white peoples cosplays are seen as more "canon" compared to black people or even people who's race is literally the character being cosplayed.

Fanfiction writers constantly cater to white people despite trying to market their stuff as "inclusive" while black people get shitted on for making character x black reader fics and don't you know weird ass white people still read them??

Yall tell us to make our own things instead of "complaining" about it and we do, then we get hit with death threats and hate. We make our black edits and get told that it's "blackwashing" and the artists get called the n word, we make black movies and our actors get death threats. We make our own original black art with our black OC'S and get told that we're being selfish and "racist" for not drawing other people. We literally cannot exist without you people hating on us and unnecessarily critiquing us.

[Note: If you nonblack or white niggas come up here and being like "well acschually op🤓☝🏾" I will actually hurt you. If you ask "why is this in the x tag" I will hurt you as well. You try n derail and make it about a different race I'm hurting you.]

Kinnporsche: There’s only one episode left and I don’t know what I’m going to do when it ends. This drama has all of us in a chokehold. The obsession I have for this show has reached the level of obsession that I still have for The Untamed. 

Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart: It’s cute. I feel like GMMTV was like let’s keep the vibes of ATOTS but make it lighthearted. Although I feel like Prince is keeping secrets, it’s not only that he comes from a rich family, there has to be a reason why he came to be a teacher on this mountain. Also what is the beef between Mike and Toptap? They’re playing side characters in this show but their characters have no interaction at all. 

Extraordinary Attorney Woo: Before this drama started airing I was feeling slumpy and no kdrama was holding my attention for about a month. This drama got me out of that slump. Young Woo is so easy to love and I will protect her with my life. I would risk it all for her to be able to talk about whales all day. I want to see a friends to lovers romance between Young Woo and Jun Ho. Also I’m sure he’s the son of the rival law firm. 

Cafe Minamdang: I’m not sure how I feel about it yet but I’m here for Seo In Guk. 

Old Fashion Cupcake: This is so good. Watching this just makes me happy. It’s only 5 episodes but I’ve been putting off watching ep.4 because I’m not ready to say goodbye to Nozue and Tagowa.

Rewatch: 

I’m thinking about rewatching You Are My Glory because I’m constantly thinking about yutu and jingjing. 

Looking Forward to: 

Vice Versa, Coffee Melody, Little Women, She and Her Perfect Husband and a bunch of other cdramas that have no definitive air dates, The Eclipse, Chains of Heart, Alice in Borderland 2, Love Tractor

thank you so much for being here with me on this little daily-art journey (LMAO). this was all the tmnt art ive drawn (and posted on twitter) since the rottmnt movie came out august 2022, and i'm so grateful for all the support i've gotten here on tumblr!

throughout as the queue progressed i also put the art i drew in the queue, so the past few ones have been recent i know alot of you found comfort in the daily posting so im really sorry it had to end, i also enjoyed the daily feedback and seeing your happiness!

it feels a bit surreal in a way, i know it hasnt been that long but also it was about 3 months of daily posts which is a bit weird to just stop suddenly,,, but anyway!

art for me is hard alot of the time, my artstyle seems rly simple and not hard to do to others but for me i have very low wrist stamina and alot going on in my personal life currently so im unsure on just how often i will post. i hope you will respect this!!

i still draw, i will post it whenever its drawn! and my ask box will ofc be open and i will answer the asks i am able to/feel like/have anything to answer them with! so just you know nothing is necessarily ending, it just wont be daily! hehe!
