There Goes My Life : a Jesper Fahey x f!reader FF assortment: Two

Summary: Jesper’s missing piece is found in the form of an unexpected joy.

Warnings: Jesper tries to beat up Kaz. Kaz is kind of sweet, but in an offhand, standoffish Kaz way.

Jesper caught up to you as you were standing in front of the stall housing the two Percherons he was after earlier. He touched your shoulder and spoke your name quietly, but you interrupted him before he could say anything more.

“Help me with these, will you?”

He nodded hesitantly and followed you inside. The two of you worked in tandem, quickly and efficiently, saddling and checking the shoes before quietly leading them out by the bridles.

“Why did you cross the Fold knowing you were pregnant?” Jesper hissed under his breath at you. “I know a million kruge is a lot of money, but damn it, love, a baby. That was too dangerous.”

You eyed him in the growing dusk.

“I didn’t have a choice” you mumbled.

“Why not?”

You sighed.

“I couldn’t stay behind and let your scrawny gambling ass walk into danger alone.”

Jesper pursed his lips.

“My ass is not scrawny.”

You rolled your eyes.

“Not the point.”

He softened.

“I wouldn’t have asked you to risk so much for me” he said soberly.

You shrugged.

“I know” you answered easily.

You both settled into a mostly easy silence as you made your way to the carriages and hooked the horses up to the most suitable one. As quietly as you could, you guided the horses to a dark, empty side of the palace, Jesper holding the reins and you walking beside one of the pair, one hand stroking its glossy neck to soothe. Jesper watched you at least as much as he should have been watching the horses, staring at your gentleness as you hushed and whispered to the animals.

You would likely make a good mother, but him? Was he capable of being a father?

But looking at you, he didn’t think he could offer anything less than an attempt.

He halted the horses in the shadows, climbed down and walked quickly with you over to a tree, ducking behind it just in time for a cloaked figure to emerge from a side door and hurry towards the stolen carriage.

“That’s Alina” you whispered, surprised. “What is she doing out here by herself?”

Jesper shrugged, grinning broadly.

“Who cares, love?” he replied. “What does it matter when she’s just climbed into the trunk in the back of the carriage?”

“Well, that makes our job ea-”

You were cut off abruptly by Jesper sweeping you up against the bark of the tree and kissing you with delight. Your head spun as you clung to the front of his waistcoat, the buttons digging into your knuckles.

“When you two are quite done” a familiar rasp intoned, bored, from over Jesper’s shoulder.

Jesper tensed all over, every muscle taut. He spun, coat flying, and lunged for Kaz, fists up. Inej stepped neatly to the side and you pushed off the tree after Jesper, reaching him just in time and throwing your arms around his waist, just barely holding him back. You locked your fists against his stomach and pulled.

Jesper fought your grasp for a short while, under Kaz’s amused, watchful gaze, but eventually gave in, remembering with a pang the baby in your belly. The last thing he wanted to do was cause harm. But he didn’t give up on the fury he felt. He pointed an accusing finger at Kaz, who waited calmly with his hands on the crow cane.

“You knew!” he growled. “You guessed and you said nothing!”

Inej glanced between them, confusion written all over her face.

“What are they talking about?” she asked you, meeting your eye.

Before you could respond, mouth already open to do so, Jesper opened his again.

“She’s pregnant with my baby” he muttered. “And she crossed the Fold with this knowledge.”

Inej’s dark eyes widened. Joy and worry chased each other across her face, but then she threw her arms around you, nudging Jesper out of the way, and held on tight, her chin notching on your shoulder.

“Congratulations” she whispered in your ear. “Is that what you and Jes were arguing about earlier in the stables?”

You nodded and she hugged you even harder.

“Well, this life isn’t exactly child friendly, but we’ll do our best” she told you.

“We?” you repeated, raising your eyebrows and glancing at Kaz.

“Who do you think has been keeping you out of the line of fire?” he asked wryly. “You’ve both been on horse duty and Jesper hasn’t had to shoot anyone all day. You’re idiots, but that isn’t the baby’s fault. Now, do we know where the Sun Summoner is?”

Stunned, you looked after him as he walked past you, Inej’s arm dropping to circle your waist. Jesper ruffled your hair as he strode after Kaz, dropping you a wink.

“Just ask!”

Welcome to the inaugural World Overview Wednesday, wherein I have a look at some of the nice, mostly old, and perhaps obscure worlds I have tucked away in a massive archive of them. My purpose is to give these worlds a little love, to give as much info about them as I can, and to give you a link to them, both to the original upload if it still works and to a re-upload in case the original vanishes into the ether. That way, you can download them if you want to. I have almost 900 worlds in said archive, so we could be here for the next 17 years. Literally. I did the math.

Anyway! My first victim is Rusalem by AnnetStore. I really like this world, though I've never played in it. Think "Jerusalem" without the "Je," and it really does look a lot like that part of the world. I mean, look at that thing! It's beautiful in its stark desert-ness. It's a big world, beautifully terrain-painted, decorated with a nod toward authenticity with date palms, olive, and cypress trees, fully built/furnished, has a distant terrain, and it's populated. It is what I think Al Simhara should have been, except that it'd need pyramids for that, I guess.

This world was uploaded to the Exchange in December of 2011, and you can download it here, in case you missed that the title of this post is also a link. :) And if you do not wish to deal with the Exchange and/or sims3packs and you don't feel like converting it yourself, I have also uploaded the .world file I made here. You just plop that in your install files in the folder at GameData > Shared > NonPackaged > Worlds. No need to screw around with the launcher.

But before you do all that...more pics and info behind the cut.

Aside from the fact that it's 2048x2048 and comes with 45 residents (which I'm assuming is correct; I certainly didn't count them), there is zero info about this world. That said, I am pretty certain that it needs all of the EPs that had been released when this world was made, which means up to Pets. I noticed objects from all of the EPs up to Generations, and the world does generate minor pets, which I think means that it needs Pets, too, but I'm not sure about that. I take pics of these worlds in a save that has no store content installed, and I have only the High End Loft stuff pack, and I didn't notice anything missing on any of the lots, so I think it only needs the EP stuff. It neither comes with nor requires CC.

This world has basement rabbitholes on all of the rabbithole lots. Of course you can edit them and use rugs instead if you don't like the basement rabbitholes thing.

The world has all spawners (other than the Island Paradise and Into the Future ones, of course), and they are placed in a well-distributed way throughout the world.

Older worlds sometimes have weird issues because, for instance, EA breaks shit with patches. While taking pics of this world, it ran for five simdays. During that time, I sent my sim all over the place and the pre-made population was running around, too. I noticed no weird issues (like sims walking on water), had no notifications about stuck sims (except for a wild horse once, but they always get stuck), and generally saw no issues or lag. So, I think this one's OK in an up-to-date game.

Now let's take a look at the lots and stuff.

This is the main area of the world. It's up on a rise, and it's where the majority of the rabbitholes are as well as a good number of residential lots, many of which are unoccupied so you can move in plenty of your own sims even if you keep the pre-made population. Here's the Edit Town view, so you can see what's what with that:

Now let's take a look at some of these individual lots. Can't look at all of them because we'd be here until next Wednesday, but some of them.

This is the science lot. The building is mostly empty, but it does have an inventing station, and though you can't see them in the pic there are also scrap piles to collect scrap from on the lot. If you've got an inventor sim, this is where they'll need to go to get scrap if you don't want them to buy it because there isn't a dedicated junkyard in the world. There are also harvestables on the lot so that science-career sims can work on their Gardening skill before or after work, if they don't have a home garden. I would add the science objects from University Life, too, because of course that EP didn't exist when this world was created.

This is the city hall, which is quite fancy outside but almost entirely empty inside. So, there's three stories of space to add stuff, if you want to.

This is the fire station, which is nice but, oddly, doesn't come with a fire truck, so you'll need to add one. Or two, since there's two parking spaces of appropriate size.

This is the ziggurat-like library, and this...

...is part of the town's big park (and there are numerous smaller ones scattered throughout the world). It is not a seasonal festival lot because Seasons didn't yet exist when this world was made, but it would be easy to make it so, if you wanted to. You can also see the lot at one end of this park, which is set up as a wedding venue, with the arch and guest seating on the rooftop and a buffet table, bars, and tables/chairs inside the building.

I have to say, the residential lots in this world are quite cute and match the theme very well. They are also all different, ranging in size from small starters, to moderate family homes, to expensive villas, to one honest-to-pie palace. They are all fully, albeit usually basically, furnished. Here's the furnishing in one of the starter-priced homes, which is suitable for a family of four:

It's occupied by one of the pre-made families, but if you want to have your sims live in it, just annihilate/evict them. :)

Most of them have their own little park/playground for the kids, and the one that's fairly far from "downtown" has its own grocery store and diner.

Many of the homes in the world have outdoor living spaces, both covered patios as well as rooftop space. This particular house has both.

Now, about the pre-made population...Ehhhhh, I don't think they fit very well for the theme. Here are two of them:

Me, I'd nuke them and make my own families that would fit the theme better. But, I guess that's up to the player

The only other thing that might be a problem with this world is that the creator of it is Russian, so unless your game is also in Russian, you'll have a lot of dialogues and lot names/addresses/descriptions and such that look like this:

It's easy to change sims' names with Master Controller, but I don't think it's possible to change lot addresses. So, there's that. But, it's pretty easy to figure out what's what.

THE MICHAELSON

EN Let's take a trip to San Sequoia to meet the Michaelson family! I've grown quite attached to this adorable little family, especially since their slightly more colorful makeover 😊

Celeste and Christopher met at a start-up company. When they went for coffee together for the first time, they were amazed at how much they had in common! After their marriage, they adopted Atlas and soon began to spoil him. Now they've also adopted Orion, and the young boy doesn't seem to take kindly to the arrival of his new little sister.

Misty Quigley (Samantha Hanratty) is a bit of an odd duck. I recognize that may be a bit of an understatement for the girl who destroyed a crashed plane's black box, went full "Misery" on her crush, and accidentally yeeted her best friend off a cliff. "But Yellowjackets" fans love to describe Misty in the most judgemental, prescriptive terms, seemingly unable to talk about the character's complexities without diagnosing her. Is she a sociopath? A psychopath? Something else entirely? It's not my place to say, but I do know this: she's an odd duck.

In the latest episode of "Yellowjackets," she's also just a scared girl who's grieving. Misty has never been more relatable to me than when she stood at the edge of the cliff, sobbing to Coach Ben (Steven Krueger) not to jump because she's lost so much already. Of course, this is Misty Quigley we're talking about here, so before she gets honest about her own state of mind she takes a manipulative, ethically heinous route by threatening to smear, out, and even eat Ben if he dies. She's nothing if not consistent in her chaos. After that tactic doesn't work, though, the girl forgets about strategy, and her emotions run out in a torrent.

Misty talks Coach Ben off a ledge

"I tried so hard," Misty says, half-yelling in a rush of fear and distress. "I swear to God. I tried so hard to keep the baby alive." She begs Ben not to jump, pleading in a short monologue that feels a bit like her "Steel Magnolias" speech turned real. "Please, Ben," she concludes. "I can't have another death on my hands." It's a rare moment during which Misty seems both entirely empathetic and entirely honest. Moments ago, when she was telling Ben his life is precious, it felt more like the Misty we see most of the time, pretending to say what she thinks she should be saying. Here, she's just letting it all out, and it turns out she's been walloped by cumulative grief.

That's the part of Misty's emotional moment that I found surprisingly relatable, and it's also a topic I'm surprised and impressed to see "Yellowjackets" explore. Cumulative grief is a term for the type of grief a person experiences when they're dealt multiple losses at once, or in quick succession. I experienced it when I lost three relatives in just a few months in 2020, including two just days apart. Cumulative grief is heavy and strange; it's difficult to describe to other people, because it feels so much more existentially threatening than typical grief.

Cumulative grief is real, and it's the worst

If one person dies, they can be mourned. When multiple people die in succession, their loved ones have to mourn their entire worldview. My grief in 2020 felt isolating as I began to feel that life was disturbingly temporary and death upsettingly certain — if not constant. So much personal loss can create a psychological and philosophical shift that's hard to bear. I lost a fourth loved one within a year of the other three losses, and while the circumstances were entirely out of my control, if I could have pleaded with someone to keep that friend alive, I would have in a heartbeat. Three years later, I'm okay, but there was a time when I worried I might not be.

The existential weight of this loss seems to be what Misty's getting at when she screams to Ben that he shouldn't jump. She's already lost Kristen (Nuha Jes Izman), which in many ways was her own fault, but was still a traumatic loss that she's just begun to process. Now, it becomes clear that she blames the death of Shauna's baby on herself, a heartbreaking burden to bear and a rare (if misguided, because the baby's death wasn't her fault) moment of accountability from someone who's not known for it. If a third person dies in front of Misty, it'll be more than she can take, and that's what finally makes Ben step back.

Now we understand why Misty grows up to be so protective

"Yellowjackets" makes it easy to pick on Misty (this show is full of murderers and cannibals, but she gets ostracized as the socially awkward murderer-cannibal), and she's certainly been making questionable decisions from the moment we met her. This is in no way, shape, or form a girlboss moment. Yet it does feel like an important point of connection between teen Misty and her adult counterpart (Christina Ricci), who is determined to keep all the fellow Yellowjackets safe under her watchful eye. She's bonded to the team, not because they love her but because decades ago, her own well-being became entangled with theirs.

Of course, trying to talk Ben down in the first place is its own loaded decision, as is his initial request that she push him. The scene's ending doesn't possess any sense of relief or catharsis; it merely feels like Ben lost his resolve for the time being. The wilderness plot of "Yellowjackets" is increasingly bleak, to the point that Misty saving Ben's life doesn't feel like a win, especially when there will surely still be more loss to come. Still, it does feel like Misty at her most sympathetic, and with Hanratty putting as much heart into the scene as she did with her movie monologue a few episodes earlier, it's not a moment we'll soon forget.

GINGER ISLAND

C'est les promos de printemps sur EA ! Je n'ai pas résisté et je me suis offerte quelques extensions pour améliorer mes constructions.

J'ai tout de suite eu envie de créer un lieu inspiré de Ginger Island de Stardew Valley. C'est la fin de l'hiver et j'ai envie de soleil :) Au début, j'avais pensé faire quelque chose de beaucoup plus propre et rangé et puis très vite quand je construit, je ne peux pas m'empêcher de mettre du désordre. J'aurais aimé mettre encore plus la pagaille mais je suis toujours limitée par ce que je possède des Sims 4.

kisah ni bermula dari umur aq 19tahun,aq ada mengenali seorang perempuan baru berpindah 1 taman dengan aq.. perempuan tu umur dia lebih tua dari aq 26thun..so aq panggil dia akak ...tinggi dia ngan aq,paras² telinga dia je..badan pun slim je..aku tertarik kat akak tu disebabkan kecantikkan dia je..lagi² bila dia mengenakan pakaian baju satin..argh..imaginasi aq mula terbayang kan aq melakukan seks ngan dia,sama ada terpaksa @ dipaksa..

nak ceritakan,kawasan taman aq ni,kawasan perumahan baru,n x banyak lagi penghuni² yg duduk..jadi banyak la rumah² kosong..akak ni,aq kenal dia,masa pagi hari aq nk ke kedai,aq terserempak akak tu kat lorong tengah sebaris ngan rumah aq,dia tngah bergayut ngan hphone..tanpa segan aq pun,menegur akak tu..hye akak..n dia bagi respon dengan senyuman..mungkin dia tngk aq cam budak lgi agaknya,tu dia x takut..bila aq dtg dekat kat dia,dia matikan hphone dia..aq pun tnya la,:-hye,baru pindah sini jgak ke..dia pun jawab la :-ya "sambil tersenyum kat aq..aq pun start la salam berkenalan sehingga la aq dapat no tel dia..so aq mula berkawan ngan dia n aq selalu wasap dia..buat lawak la,sampai dia cakap dia suka kawan ngan aq..yang aq pulak ade perasaan kat dia,kalau aq cakap kat dia nnt, confirm dia hilangkan diri dari aq,ye la lagi pun dia ade boy n umur dia ngan umur aq jauh beza kot..tapi x kisah la yg penting aq dapat jgak berkenalan ngan dia..
