Oof okay so this is literally the least-recently-worked-on WIP in my folder. The software I use has released three version upgrades since the last time I touched this. I swear I'm gonna do it someday but...

The song itself is over five minutes long and I'm not sure I can actually make an on-theme video that lasts that long, which means deciding what part of the song to cut.

But the core inspo for this video is this:

5 - worst discord server

tbh im not in many discords and most of the ones im actually active in are just for zine work or my HEMA club lol. they've all been decently tame so i really can't say? there have been a few awkward interactions i've been witness to but it's never been too insane. in terms of ones i am NOT in and have only heard tales of, it seems like critical role (particularly during the mighty nein campaign and ship wars revolving around jester) had some truly heinous behavior going on in them lmao

24 - topic that brings up the most rancid discourse

had to think about this a bit...shipping discourse at any level is universally rancid so that felt like a little bit of a copout haha. so otherwise, there's always That Character in a work that is like. Contra Vershal for one reason or another (hi izzy. hi kyle ron) and i think there's a range of both justified and unjustified takes - both positive and negative - that you'll see from any given discussion of them. i think one that is the MOST exhausting for me to see continued discourse over is that Billiam from str4nger thangs. like personally, i have very few thoughts on him aside from vague dislike that is mostly outweighed by my overall dislike of season 3 as a whole but i feel like you can't even bring him up to discuss him as a narrative element w/o someone jumping in to (poorly) knee-jerk defend him. i almost cant blame them bc the show itself is Not well-written but come on. come on. have you seen how he treats lucas.

25 - common fandom complaint you're tired of hearing

now that the movie is out i don't see it as much but people being like "ohhh the riddler's costume in the 2021 batman is so dreary and edgy and lame" annoyed me to NO end lmao. like no bitch they didn't "de-yassify" him he's just creepy. the costume is unique and imposing and fitting for the tone which is PULP not FAUX REALISM

it's just ursula k le guin's last name, which surprisingly was not taken in the spring of 2015 when i finally changed it from an old pacific rim url. can't say i remember what prompted the change exactly, but when i was in the hospital 10 months later with an unbelievably scrambled brain i apparently kept asking my parents to bring me my earthsea books, which to me really cemented the association.
