3D revisited

Okay as with Seven, I'll be watching the performance video instead of the MV. JK's dynamic with his dancers is playful and fun to watch and there's no overt objectification even if JH's rap dominates most of the second half of the song.

There is already talk of remixes on TwiX and pH-1 has done a version published on his You Tube page. Same themes but more let's get sexy girl rather than the all conquering dick JH brought to it.

ARMY have also remixed Namjoon into the song to very good effect.

Kid Laroi hyping 3D yesterday so possible remix of 3D or future collab on JK's solo album seem likely.

Tablo's tweet also made me laugh, "I should make a remix of 3D but it’s 3 dads".

About the collab: nothing is sacred anymore so I'm sure it's true. Bets on how many versions? I actually thought kid laroi was going to be his first collab back in like May??? when it came up that he'd been hanging out a lot with Nicole and Nicole is working with the guy's label. I never expected anything from Jungkook, seriously. I've said before that he doesn't have range, and that he's only good at singing ballads and SOME pop songs. He's made some music but it's literally part of BTS worst music era (your eyes tell, stay). His only good songs have been euphoria and still with you, which I don't like because it's not a genre I generally listen to but I can still tell it's a nice song.

So it's like... you're preaching to the choir because I would've been the first person to tell you not to expect anything interesting from him. There's probably some post somewhere where I said that. He's just honestly always been overestimated by the fandom.

When I tell you I started laughing when the dude started rapping... Lmao. Like, omg, that was some of the worst rapping I've heard in my life. Dude made Jack Harlow sound like a fucking poet. The English accent and his low tone were so out of place in the song too. And his flow was bad. Like, his part was terrible, even worse than I expected. It was so bad and weird I couldn't help laughing. This entire song just gave me a chuckle. I had tears in my eyes in the end.

The MV didn't make any sense, and the studio parts with the three of them were so out of place in the whole MV. We had The Kid Laroi looking, like one of my anons once said, like a 15 year old trying out his dad's clothes. The lyrics and random inserts of women didn't help lmao.

Even JK looked ridiculous in that suit with his hair styled back like he was in the mob, though his first look was great. He sounded good, as always, even if he got the same verses throughout the song. For sure he sounded and looked better than the other two - as expected. He always sounds and looks better than the other artists, which is a sign he either needs to find better collabs or stop fucking doing them. The song wasn't even bad - it just had a bad rap and a bland main artist. In JK's hands alone the song would've been nice, which is what I've been saying about literally every single collab so far.

Tbh, this song would've bothered if I didn't know we had 8 new solo(-ish) JK songs on the way. I'm untouchable now. This is the last hurdle we have to overcome before Golden is here. Then. there will be no more unnecessary rapping and bland vocalists. The Kid Laroi isn't a bad singer, but his voice is so overwhelmingly bland.

Also, we really had to wait two extra minutes after the premier started? That was new. The things I do for you JK.

If as what you're saying about justin is true then that also matches with jk saying he's got something big coming from after 6 months which was supposed to be around June so yeah that matches so this could be it too. From last 2 years i always thought that there is that Justin x BTS or Justin x Jk Collab is somewhere in there it's just about time it gets released. I always felt that way and maybe this could be it. Maybe they wanna try another summer hit.

It’s just speculation on my end. I don’t have anything solid to back it up other than JB and Scooter having previous ties & his current plan of aligning JK with major male American soloists. Still, going off of what JK was hinting at for June, I don’t think he’d be hyping the fandom up for a travel show. (Or that hybe would be dropping it to calm down pjms cause the majority of them don’t even want it released for obvious reasons. And the last thing Hybe gives a fuck about are Jimin or his fans lmao)

There’s multiple things happening in June already with Festa and Jin coming back. If they put both on the back burner to accommodate a JK single I wouldn’t be surprised. Would be grimey but it’s hybe. I remember pics dropping of a cinematographer? (Probably not what they’re actually called) from scooter and people were thinking that it might’ve been for a documentary for JK. I’m not sure if that already transpired or if it was for that kid laroi documentary that had JK in it. The supposed TMZ story is interesting though. Haven’t seen any armys mention it and I feel like they would have if they had caught wind even if it was a rumor. Anyway if there’s really something dropping in June/July and they wanna build hype for it, it’ll get revealed sometime next month.

JK has definitely been working hard this summer. We've been speculating since he attended Kid Laroi's Coachella set that there might be something in the works and here it is - Too Much.

Too Much is out on the 20th October and is a track from Kid Laroi's album also out in November.

Too Much is just, like, the weirdest, most random group of people collabing. Musically, it might make sense - JK and The Kid Laroi like pop and pop songs often (unnecessarily) have rap features, but they look so silly together. The one pic where Jungkook's wearing a suit, pouting with his arms crossed and hair styled back is hilarious. He looks so baby, like he's wearing someone else's clothes.

I don't quite understand the promo schedule or concept, and am admittedly a bit surprised by the effort and creativity they put into it. I thought it was just another filler song, but The Kid Laroi is clearly invested. I guess this is his pre-release as he's also dropping an album in November? And if the song does well that'll help him. The little snippet of the song I heard sounded nice. I won't be surprised if it's yet another song with a good instrumental ruined by bad lyrics, and mediocre rapping and singing (aside from JK). I don't like how American rappers sound in general and I don't like The Kid Laroi's voice either. I'm not even saying that they're bad, but I don't like The Kid Laroi's tone, so... Hopefully I'll like it.

Anyway, on October 20th we get more JK! Lord help me, I hope the song is decent and that I'm not too annoyed by the other artists. Army's going to be spread thin with so many releases to focus on.

Haha, this is such a passionate post! I was prejudiced about Zayn and expecting the worst (I generally expect to hate pop music), but I was pleasantly surprised! His music isn't my style (from the 5 or so songs I heard), but he has a nice voice and I thought the songs were pretty interesting. I liked If I Got You the most. I'm actually really interested in hearing Jungkook in one of Zayn's songs now, because he's never done this genre and I think we'd get to see a new side of him. Unlike the CP or upcoming Kid Laroi's collabs, which are straight up pop (I'm pretty sure that will be the case for the new song) and something we've heard from Jungkook before, a collab with Zayn could show us new aspects of Jungkook and his vocals, and could be exciting and add value to his discography. I think Jungkook needs to diversify his discography a bit. I mean, his discography is pretty diverse even if it leans towards easy pop, but his most popular tracks, and the most recent ones, are very pop, in the most basic way, so it's important that he releases different genres as well imo, so he's not pigeonholed.

But these songs shouldn't all be collabs... Does Jungkook really love collabs that much? Because he likes the artists he collabs with and feels honored? Because he just doesn't feel the need to refuse them? Because it takes the pressure off of him? Because he doesn't think he needs to do it solo? Because it's a fast way to release more songs and reach new audiences? Because it's all the same to him and he thinks collabs add variety to his songs? I don't know... I wonder if Jungkook knows we want solo songs from him? I feel like, if he really knew that we're tired of him doing collabs, he might do them less? Or maybe he doesn't care? I really wish I could ask him. I wish interviewers actually challenged him with interesting questions. Instead of "What's your dream collab?" I want him to be asked "Why do you choose to collab with so many artists while you're still building your discography and establishing yourself as a solo artist? What value do collabs have to you? Why have you chosen both of your singles to be collabs?".
