The Penthouse Headcanons

Hey!! This is my first post I’ve ever done. I never thought I would actually make one here but here I am😭 anyway I’m making this because I really love this k-drama but I don’t see a lot of stuff about it in here so I’m doing some headcanons….because I can

- Most of the Hera palace kids don’t know how to cook except Rona, Jenny & Eunbyeol

I just get that vibe from them. Minhyuk and his dad rely on their mom for cooking and cleaning. The twins have their own maid who does that. Seokhoon might know basic stuff but not enough. I definitely think Jenny cooks with her mom sometimes. Ha Eunbyeol learned to try and impress Seokhoon. Rona definitely helps her mom around the kitchen

- Seokkyung can’t sleep when there’s thunder and lighting at nighttime.

This ain’t exactly a headcanon, Seokhoon confirmed that in season 1? I believe. I remember he said that to his father. I just felt like this needed to be brought to light

- Shin Suryeon’s love language is definitely quality time. You can’t tell me otherwise

- Seokkyung and Seokhoon definitely find comfort and security in each other.

I feel they both suffer from nightmares due to multiple reasons so I can imagine one of them waking up to the other texting or calling in the middle of the night about how they can’t sleep, and the other person shows up at their room a few minutes later and they just end up talking or cuddling to sleep

- Mari definitely saw Rona as her own daughter when Yoon Hee died.

She took her in and even left her husband because he didn’t want to have anything to do with Rona. That’s some motherly love right there.

- Shim Suryeon took many self defense and fighting classes

Have you SEEN the way this girl handles Joo Dantae sometimes😭the lord knows getting into a fight with her will leave on the ground with a broken nose.

- Ha Yoon Chul takes Eunbyeol to go eat out secretly behind Seojins back

Seojin only has her daughter eat certain and extremely healthy foods that are “fit for singer”. Yoon Chul just wants to make sure his daughter can enjoy all types of food and take her out so she doesn’t stay cooped up inside the penthouse.

- Kang Mari definitely likes women👌🏾

I rest my case….

- Jenny had a crush on Rona at one point, but it eventually went away

- Yoon Hee and Rona have karaoke nights

- Min Hyuk had a biiiiiigggg crush on Seokhoon

That was actually revealed by min Hyuks actor that it was originally written for min hyuk to be in love with seokhoon

➥Joo Seok-Hoon

As she stepped in the classroom, all eyes were on her. Including the CEO of JK Holding's son.

She tilted her head as she smiled, her eyes following the crowd infront of her. Then locking her eyes with the most intimidating looking man she's ever seen.

But that first impression was mistakened.

"Bae Ro-na." Seok-kyung spoke up. After Ha Eun-Byeol invited everybody, including you, to her party, and not including Ro-na, Seok-kyung seemed to invite the girl somewhere else.

"Come to my house. Let's study together." She smirked, Ro-na's face beamed, pointing at herself. "Me?!" She looked in shock.

"Yes, you." Seok-kyung raised her brows, smiling as she crossed her arms. "You too." Seok-kyung looked at you, who was standing behind Ro-na.

"Ah, are you su-" Seok-kyung walked up to you, putting her hand on your shoulder. "Super sure." She smiled, everybody in the room looked in shock.

"I guess I won't be going to the party, too." Seok-hoon shrugged, glancing at you who was already looking at him.

Eun-Byeol looked like a red bull, brushing her hair back as she glanced at you. "[Name] you could come with us inste-"

"She already agreed to be with us." Seok-kyung glared. The teacher came in, making everybody go back to their seats.

"Wah, this is your place?" Ro-na smiled as she looked through the window. You smiled as well, taking a look around. Ro-na continued asking questions about what their father's job is.

You felt a presence behind you, making you turn behind and look up. "Joo Seok-Hoon-shi..." He gave you a blank look. "Hm?" You felt your heart drop at his response, a drop of sweat running down from your forehead.

"How come you're sweating?" He sighed, getting a napkin from his pocket as he wiped the side of your head. "It's cold here." You let out a breathy laugh, "Haha..I just, well..."

Your heart was pounding into your chest, you found it hard to reply. "Oppa!" Seok-kyung called out, making her older brother turn to her and so does [Name].

Their mother stood before them as Ro-na started to great herself. Seok-hoon slowly dropped his hand, putting the napkin inside of his pocket.

"Ajumma!" You beamed, your hands covering your mouth as you gasp in shock. "[Last Name], [First Name]-shi..?" She looked just as surprised as you.

You ran up to her, the trio watching. "It's been a while, how are you?" She smiled, "I'm doing okay, thank you!" Seok-kyung tilted her head, "Eomma, you know her?"

"She's the daughter of [Dad's name], your father's friend." Seok-kyung nodded, looking at her brother. "Oppa, why don't you show them around?" Seok-Hoon glanced at his younger sister, before walking to the direction of their room.

You excused yourself, bowing your head as you walked away from Suryeon, you stared at the back of Ro-na's head before she spoke up. "Woah! Is this where you guys practice?" She looked around.

"It is." Seok-Hoon answered shortly. While Ro-na amired the piano, you looked at their study table. "Pretty organized." You were about to get a book but your arm hit a pen, making it fall under the table.

"Oh shoot!" You said under your breath. You went under the table, getting the pen before bumping your head, a hiss coming out of your mouth.

"Are you ok?" Seok-Hoon spoke up, kneeling on the floor to check up on your state. "I'm fine..." You smiled, rubbing your head as you sat on the floor.

"Be careful next time." He huffed, you looked up to see him stare at you, his eyes then moving away in a flash. You giggled, brushing your hair back as you put your hand above his knee.

"Never knew you'd care enough to say that." You joked, you flinched a bit from the sudden touch..Which was his hand ontop of yours. "Now you know."

Back from another break!!! Made this at school and I'm addicted to penthouse, again!

I was able to watch half of Ssulply's latest episode wherein Jooyeon was the guest co-host of Lee Seokhoon.

Joo, I realized, is so fun to be with. And the way he laughs? It's so natural and contagious. There is no hint of pretensions in him, not even conscious of what he would look like on the screen every time he laughs so hard, considering that he is an idol and is in a public place. With Joo, it's like what you see is what you get.

And in this episode, one will learn the difference between Seoul and other regions/places of South Korea in terms of language, intonations, expressions and ways. Jooyeon, who lived in Daegu for so many years, had to make some adjustments to living in Seoul but never forget his Daegu ways at the same time.

BIOGRAFIA

Joo Seokhoon vem de uma família rica e totalmente manipuladora, o mesmo costumava chamar sua casa de residência dos horrores, pois foi ali que o mesmo adquiriu seus maiores traumas e o que lhe salvou de tudo aquilo, foi sua irmã, a mesma sempre esteve ali consigo, mesmo que o temperamento da mesma não fosse dos melhores, ele sentia que a sua irmã era o que ele tinha de mais precioso e o mesmo faria de tudo para proteja-la.

Ao passar dos anos Seokhoon se sentia mais revoltado com tudo em sua volta, apenas queria fugir e levar sua irmã consigo, porém nem foi preciso, os mesmo foram expulsos de casa, e o motivo não poderia ser o mais triste e ridículo. Sua mãe costumava ser quieta e tranquila, porém nunca rebatia as ofensas do pai e tudo pareceu piorar quando a mesma veio a falecer, a casa passou a ser insuportável e os gêmeos não estavam suportando mais as brigas que eram constantes e cansativas.

Como se não bastasse ter perdido sua mãe Seokhoon sentia que precisava dar uma vida melhor para sua irmã, achava que tinha essa responsabilidade, já que o seu pai não cumpria com o seu dever. Por coincidência, havia terminado a faculdade de medicina veterinária a pouco tempo e se esforçou ao máximo para juntar dinheiro e conseguir um emprego fixo, além de procurar um lugar para morar junto com sua irmã, assim que encontraram, foi quando tudo mudou de uma hora para outra.

Things that they kinda left out in The Penthouse:

- Wasn't Jang Doo Man supposed to be Seok Hoon's original father? Why didn't they show that anymore?

-They probably gave up on the theory of Oh Yoon Hee and Joo Dan Tae being siblings.

- Was Ha Eunbyeol really Yoonchul's daughter? If so,how are Eunbyeol and Rona the same age? Did Yoonchul really make two girls pregnant around the same time?

- The whole purpose of Alex Lee's character.

- Baek Joon Ki aka the real Joo Dan Tae. Wasn't he supposed to be a positive character who genuinely was fond of Suryeon? Why turn him into a greedy scum?

- Backstory of Secretary Jo and why he was actually against Dan Tae.

- Who is Seokhoon's real twin?(idk if they addressed/will address this in the last episode)

The universe was indeed cruel to a bunch of 16 year olds.

He has always been a follower and a protector. Someone who everyone depended on.... But never did he expect to find someone who would see through his brave and cold facade.

After the numerous trials and errors. The series of tragedies, losses and heartbreaks the had to face. They meet again, this time in the right time and right place.

They smiled at each other under the warm and dim light, unable to deny the warm mutual feeling of their affection and attraction even after such a long time has passed. They finally give in to each other and yet again..... The flower that once freezed blossomed.

It took them a long time... But finally, after numerous hardships and tears. They proved to have triumphed over everything and all that matters now.... was their happy ending.

The story may end here for us, but for the two lovers... It was just the beginning and the blossoming of their long awaited love story.

In this version, Romeo and Juliet didn't kill themselves to be together. Instead, Seokhoon and Rona waited for each other and made us believe in loyalty and trust.
